Nice place. Friendly staff that accommodated our request to have a room on the ground floor and where we could see our Harleys. Pretty good spread for the complimentary breakfast. I really loved that there was a Veteran's parking space and that it was just outside the window of our room. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel room in itself was actually nice and clean, definitely not five star but I was honestly felt like that was $50 well spent… until I realized that I was charged a $100 fee for smoking in the room. Problem is there was no smoking in the room. I love to travel, I’ve stayed at plenty hotels and hardly ever have problems involving the staff. I hardly ever maybe never have given a company a bad review but this has me baffled! I am a women with integrity & I don’t like being lied on or scammed! Travelers beware. Very poor customer service as well the front desk person is clueless.

Everything about the place says "we care". The room was small but very nice. Everything was super clean and in its place. The girl at the front desk must be a mind reader because she answered every question I had just before I was able to ask it. I will stay here again.

Very clean room and comfortable bed but very high. I could barely get in the bed and I am tall. Front desk AM manager was very rude but the young girl on night was very friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

Rooms cheap, CLEAN, and Alyssa working the front desk was super helpful with questions concerning the surrounding area, and other various information that we needed, very friendly. The hotel may be 2.5 stars but the front desk staff is 5 stars in my book. Would defintly stay here again if I was ever in the area.

Alyssa was a great friendly face when I checked in. She was very folksy and made me feel right at home. It is rare these days to go to a hotel and get anything other than a grumble from behind the counter. She was very thorough in telling me where everything was and making sure I settled in well and very helpful from the time I first called about 4 hours before my arrival to confirm everything.

Wayne and his wife are the rudest and most imcompassionate people I've ever met. They make u pay a deposit if you are not white or an older person. Thats called discrimination in my book! I did call Corporate and made a formal complaint! I would not recommend anybody use this hotel. They are very stereotypical ppl and think they can treat and talk to anyone any way they want to! I wish I could give them zero stars.

Night staff was friendly and quickly got us a room. Next morning staff was Nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet. Easy access right off the highway.

BEDBUGS********We stayed in suite 212. We checked in late Saturday night to rest while traveling through. We were awakened a little after 3am to BEDBUGS. We had to leave all of our things to keep from taking them home. No apology was offered. I'll never stay at another super 8.

I read through the recent reviews and felt compelled to express my positive experience, to set the record straight for others considering booking here. The staff, by far, has been the most friendly and wonderfully accommodating people I've come across in the hospitality industry. Specifically, Charlie and the front desk professional, Savannah. And, with our nationwide travel for work, I've seen enough to know when a hotel merits the time for a well-deserved review. Their flexibility and efforts to please the customer is outstanding and besides fair pricing, the hotel rooms were clean, renovated and quite pleasant. Many nearby hotels, in this price range, don't offer a fraction of what Super 8 Richmond offers its guests. Wifi works great and they have a hot breakfast bar in the mornings, unlike the other post that indicated there was no breakfast. I highly recommend staying here — no hassle, no fuss!

For the price it was definitely worth it, had a little bit of trouble with the first room they gave me but they straightened it up very quickly.

My family was traveling back home from vacation and the roads were slick and decided to find a hotel for the night. The hotel looked okay from the outside, but during the night had some unwelcomed visitors. I woke up to find some kind of rodent droppings in my bag and all over the table where the coffee maker sat. I complained to the front desk employee on shift, he seemed like a deer in the headlights and had no resolution whatsoever. He said he left a note for the manager. I do not recommend staying at this hotel, just disgusting.

Nice updated room, no odd smells in non — smoking room. Breakfast was good about what you have at others, waffles, eggs, sausages to make muffin sandwiches was nice. Loved the biscuits and gravy. Could use more staff for cleaning common areas better.

First time staying here, and will stay again when in the area. Booked the first night a few days prior online, and had no problems checking in. Alyssa was absolutely great, and enjoyed chatting with her. She answered my questions, and gave good instructions & information. A few hours after check in, we decided to stay another night and Alyssa took care of it. There was some confusion the next morning by the 1st shift staff (maybe manager?, ) but all was taken care of quickly and we were able to go back to sleep. Heh Celebrating our 7 year anniversary with a lil' getaway, we soaked up the peace & quiet. No kids, no pets, no housework. LOL The AC was cold, the curtains kept out the sunlight and we immensely loved just cuddling & watching TV on the nice size flat screen. It's the simple things! ^_^

I Met Alyssa working at the front desk and She makes you feel at home. I had a very enjoyable conversation with her and from what I see this Super 8 in Richmont, Ky is Blessed to have such a dedicated, lovedcustomer friendly office clerk working for them. She is very thorough on details. I loved talking to her so much I had to fight myself to get away from her. She is a beautiful person and very mature for her age. I pray to God I will get to talk to her again. Ken/Wb0siy.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Horrible room. It was located right by the ice machine. I went to bed at 11.30 and was woken up multiple times to what sounded like a garbage disposal being run right inside the room. The hotel management needs to do something to accommodate guests near the ice machines; I don't know who could sleep through that noise.

Pet friendly, clean, stqndard room but a bit small. Good for stopovers.

Arrived at 9 pm. Allysa was on duty and was awesome! In fact we would have went somewhere else once we saw the room if it hadn't been for her positive service. The carpet in halls and room were filthy. Microwave had food on the door and mold on the inside. The rest of the room was clean except for stains on the chair and bed cover. Definitely needs some TlC. The guy on the midnight shift which was still there for breakfast needs some people skills training or a different job. Not friendly, could tell he did not want to be there. Breakfast was good. Wayne was there when we checked out and he was really really good. So left on positive note. Would we stay there again, likely not.

Actually a good and hot breakfast. Very nice and comfortable place to stay. Nicer place than what you expect out of other super 8's.

Me and my husband were traveling back Dr on Canada and around 5am we decided to find a place to crash for a few hours. The clerk gave me a great rate and a noon check out. The room was clean. No odor, which is the main thing with me. And the room was decorated nicely, bed linens were clean and the bed was comfy. It far exceeded our expectations.

Clean room, nice staff but room faced a interstate off ramp so lots of ambient road noise, the curtains won't close (made that way) and all you have is a sheer drape to block out any parking lot light. So the room was lit up even with all the lights off. Finally gave up trying to sleep about 3AM and checked out to travel on my way back home. For what little sleep I got I could have slept in my car and saved the money. Hallway carpet needs to be cleaned. As you step out of your room you're hit with a dank smell from the hallway.

Clean, quiet, and a hot nreakfast. All for a great price. Will definitely stop here again. Close to the interstate too. My only complaint is the availability of restaurants is limited. But if you don't mind driving a little there are more down the road or at the next interchange.

The young man who checked us into our room was helpful and courteous. We found the room to be quite satisfactory of two road-weary travelers. I had issues with my worn-out old laptop when I tried to access the internet. Again the man at the front desk was very helpful plus he knew more about the little tricks to get me onto the websites I wanted. The breakfast was standard fare for Super 8 motels, plus the scrambled eggs were a pleasant surprise. Definitely on our radar as our stop-over on our second trip through Richmond later this year.

Nice room, but the smallest room I've ever stayed in. Clean, new looking interior and good location. Would return.

Always a pleasure to stop at the Super 8 in Richmond. Have been stopping there about 2 to 3 times a year if not more on our way to Gatlinburg for years and have never had a stay over that was not the best. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Easy check-in and no fuss check-out. We always like to get back on the road and do so easily every time. Always recommend this Super 8 to any of our friends who travel south on this route!

Front desk staff treated me special. My favorite place to stay in Richmond.

Booking website bugged me INCESSANTLY to write a review so here it is. Hotel is easy to access. Rooms are typical of a low end hotel. Rooms are interior access at least so that is a plus. Pillows and bedding are low end. Breakfast is lame, and the owner obviously sets it up as cheaply as possible. Night desk staff was cool, morning staff/owner were a little abrasive. This property is on par with the price range of ~47 a night, I would not go higher than that. If you need a fast utilitarian place to stay this will get the job done in a pinch.

Kind of a sketchy looking place. "Park wherever, " is a suspect thing to say. The room was clean, but it smelled weird. And, on top of everything, the night manager was racist. Wayne was chill though.

Clean, quite rooms and decent breakfast to get your day started.
