Spacious, comfortable, and mostly quiet. You can even make yourself popcorn. We were only there to sleep so we wished there was a complimentary breakfast.

Convenient location, friendly staff. Rooms are a little on the small side, but not too bad. Bed was decent and other accomodations were very good. Solid pick for the price.

Nice clean hotel, close to the interstate, very friendly staff.

Updated and comfortable rooms. Close to restaurants and stores. House keeping could do better and there's some noise from I-70.

I stay in a lot of hotels. This particular trip was me relocating on my own from TN to CO. Topeka was a great mid point. But it will remain near and dear to me thanks to a hotel clerk named Laura. I had gotten myself in a parking jam with my uhaul and had a small emotional breakdown. I went in and described my problem and Laura and the other young lady comforted me and said it will be ok. Laura was there in the morning and had taken it upon herself to find me someone to back my car out. She had thought of me all night she said, and I lost a lot of sleep wondering how I was going to get out. She went above and beyond for me. Thank you so much. The room was great, quiet and a comfy bed… but it's the level of hospitality that brings guests in. Thank you. You made my month for sure!

Very cost efficient and clean. Love the desk set-up in the room. Full-kitchen in the room also is very nice.

Stayed 5 weeks in extended stay. Was always comfortable and the management team was always professional.

BFF & I decided to spend the night since we over indulged on adult beverages that evening. It was just safer that way. We booked a room, showed up and had no issues checking in. jordan s. At the front desk was so sweet and helpful! He is the BEST! We will definitely consider staying here again, if the need arises.

This is our first time at this hotel chain. The room is large, including a rather large closet, a very nice bathroom area, good sized kitchen area and a wonderful sleeping/desk area. The beds are clean and very comfortable. The pillows are cool and nicely firm. Great to sleep on and watch TV on. Only complaint is the excellent a/c and heating system. It's set to run at full speed but cools and warms the entire suite very quickly. The room stays comfortable with the system off for several hours. Highly recommend this chain.

Nice rooms. I'm pretty sure my non smoking room had been smoked in, all of my stuff reeked of cigarettes when I left, and I felt gross because of it.

Very nice place to stay for one night or an extended stay. Nice little kitchen net full size fridge. Staff is absolutely amazing. Thank you for a great experience.

Very clean and elegant. Staff was very kind. Rooms have a kitchen and stove and all the cook wear to go with! Was a small condo and still cheaper than the cheap hotels.

Its a brand new hotel. The rooms are spectacular and well kept. The employees are well mannered and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Location is good right off wannamaker, rooms are clean and staff is friendly. No breakfast is a let down but that's a Candlewood policy, not specific to this hotel.

This place was very clean, comfortable & had a wonderful staff! It's hard finding a place while on the road & not sure what town you will end up in. We drove an extra hour because of the reviews & hit the jackpot!

The first room that was given to us had not been fully serviced. The sheets were off the bed, on the chair bundled up, and the toilet didn't flush.

Requested top floor was put on first floor. Bed was uncomfortable, furniture was falling apart, ran out of toilet paper.

I believe this is the Wannamaker suites now — — We stayed here the last of April we had a room on interstate side the first night noisy for me — didn't bother my husband the room was very nice and clean very good bed (important) nice pillows. All of the staff was very nice and, helpful. I requested a room on the othe side for the next two nites. The desk man offered to help us with our luggage. We would stay here again without question!. VERY NICE especially for the price. Its nice to have friendly and accommodating staff too. Nice to have your kitchen available. NOTE nowhere was there any smoke smell.

Good one for extended stay with good kitchen facilities.

After reading the reviews on here, I was a little worried about my stay. I was already past the cancellation deadline. So I thought what the heck, I travel 8 months out of the year for work. I have stayed at some horrible places. I am 3/4 Irish and have no problem standing my ground. So I walked in with a level head and ready for whatever presented itself. I was pleasantly surprised! I was met by a very friendly lady with a smile on her face! Everything I asked for was met. My entire stay I was not bothered once! Upon check out I mentioned the reviews and was informed that they were under new management. My stay could not have been made any better! I highly recommend this hotel! I am in no way affiliated with the hotel. I travel for work 8 months out of the year and have stayed all over the USA.

To say that I am disappointed in my groups experience at your Candlewood Suites locations is an understatement. I have never stayed at a location where the customer service was so poor, with such a high level of disrespect and it was made blatantly obvious that my group was not wanted, or welcomed in that location. Despite booking over 8 rooms staff was unwilling and unable to be accommodating to any request that was given. Even the basic request for extra towels was denied. The horrible experience came to a head on Friday when the assistant manager Jennifer became aggressive, agitated and rude. Although it was understood that it was not possible for our group to have a late check out for her to make the statement that, “I told YOU PEOPLE twice that you had to be out at 12, ” was not only rude, it was unprofessional. If the Candlewood suites brand has hotels that they do not want a “certain type of person” to stay at they should make that clear when you call to set reservations. Our experience with Candlewood suites Topeka was a disrespectful and insulting experience. I can say for certain that I will never personally stay at a Candlewood Suites hotel and I will never book my clients or do any other business at a Candlewood Suites hotel again.

Booked a room on Priceline for our family. When we got there they had us in a smoking, one bed unit. Even though they had several nonsmoking two bed units that went for the same price, they refused to switch us. It was 2:30 am. Like they were going to need them at that point. The night clerk was in fear of doing anything that would anger his manager. Then the manager, Sheri Baker, called us from home (at 3:00am) to tell us we would have to rent an additional room or leave since we had more than two people. We thought that was CRAZY! We said two of our family would stay there and the others would go rent a room at a different hotel. They said we either needed to rent a second room from them or our whole party (everyone) would have to leave — even though we had already paid with Priceline. So they kicked us out and neither the hotel or Priceline would refund us. We could not believe this happened. We are confident American Express will take care of it. Never stay at this hotel.

If there was a way to give negative stars I would. I requested a non-smoking room. When I arrive I am told that I have been assigned a smoking room. I ask about my request for a non-smoking room and the front desk person confirmed that I asked for a non-smoking room; however, there are no non-smoking rooms available. If I cannot stay in the room assigned to me they will place me in a different smoking room. I go to the smoking room and after 20 mins my throat hurts, I am coughing, and now the clothing that I wearing smells like smoke. I go across the street to Club House Inn and Suites (5 stars+) and I get a room over there. I return to this smoke-hole and confirm that there are no non-smoking rooms. I check out stating that I cannot stay in a smoking room and explain what happened after being there for 20 mins. Front desk guy says that there may still be a charge because I am canceling my reservation without giving 24 hours notice. I explain if provided a non-smoking room as I requested I would stay. This is not possible so I leave. Soon after there is a charge on my credit card for $67. I call the Candlewood Suites and I am shuffled around and nobody will actually speak with me. I am delivered to the voicemail of Shari Baker. I then call the corporate office and lodge a complaint. Less than 15 mins later Shari Baker calls me back. Shari Baker tells me they are charging my credit card because I didn't cancel 24 hours in advance.
