What a gorgeous hotel! Everyone was so nice and helpful. My room was beautiful, prettier then pictures show. Only thing Is I didn’t sleep. My shower in my room turned on by itself I woke my daughter and husband up because I was scared lol. My husband just told me to shut off the shower. I was too scared though, but then my shower turned off. Needless to say I was way to paranoid and uncomfortable to sleep. I would still highly recommend, this honestly is an amazing place. But that experience did spook me!

Awesome time at the Mansion on Forsyth, it was the perfect place for our photo shoot and we enjoyed the hospitality and prompt service from the staff. This was actually our honeymoon stay when we got married 10 years ago. We will definitely be back for another stay.

What an amazing collection of art and mixtures of different decorating styles that makes this hotel a fun place to stay. The restaurant has an amazing selection of food and drink. There is so much to see and experience.

My husband and I recently stayed in your lovely hotel for three nights checking out today. All of the staff was very friendly, professional and top notch. Great location and the shuttle service was was a surprise and greatly appreciated. We met so many nice guests too in the hotel bar; had a lot of fun. I am a lover of hats so your curated collection of them in your lobby was a real treat. We will make sure to stay in your hotel for a future visit.

Chef Shahin was great and very personable! He answered any questions we had and took his time to explain and demonstrate things for us.

The hotel is extremely charming and the rooms are very nice. The employees are very personable and nice, yet they had some struggles with our luggage. I was told our luggage want waiting for us in our room, but it was not. When it arrived 20 minutes later, we were missing a suit case. They recovered it, but it was slightly worrisome.

Wonderful first class experience from arrival through check-in. They have it dialed in for making you feel welcome! I would hesitate to call it a hotel but more like a modified mansion/art exhibition. There are paintings and beautiful sculptures around every corner! A sensory experience for sure… Valet parking is $30.00 a day but if you need you car they retrieve it right away. The rooms are wonderful too and ours had a king size bed. Room 321 does view the park but also overlooks the entrance where the hotel guests arrive so there was some noise from car doors, etc even on the 3rd floor. The bathroom is interesting as it has a two panel door that opens near the bed revealing the garden tub and yes a frosted glass door where the toilet is. Say HELLO to your partner when you are doing your business if those doors are open. Also the toilet area is an echo chamber so if you are a bashful couple… be forewarned. :) The river area is a mile away so walking will test your level of endurance. Driving is a challenge as the streets are a little wacky with these crazy yield intersections where you can't tell who goes when. We took an Uber and it was $6.00 each way. Overall… 5 stars and a great visit and "hotel".

Stopped in after a very hot afternoon at Forsyth Park for a few drinks (and to cool off in the AC). Immaculate historic property with some very friendly staff. Always a smile and prompt service. Drinks are on the pricier side ($11 for a G&T), but are made well and are comparable in price to other upscale hotel lounges.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Mansion. Every staff member we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the free shuttle driver. Great location, beautiful rooms with extremely comfortable beds. We were celebrating our anniversary and we came back to our room to a very nice surprise! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful! We cant wait to come back!

I have to wait 20 mins to get a table which is no problem. Then I got to the table and the waitress gave me a glass of water. She said that she will come back with my coffee… another 20 mins still no coffee nor any service. Half of the tables in the restaurant left dirty. After 45 I just left the place and went to complain at the front desk. They apologized, but never fixed the problem.
The room is beautiful, but they is leftover food in the refrigerator from the previous guest.

Beautiful hotel. The rooms are very nice. It has a nice bar and a nice outside area. I would highly recommend staying here. All of the staff was excellent as well.

Very good service, the manger give us free breakfast because the room wasn’t ready to check my in when we arrive and everybody was friendly.
We will stay there again and highly recommend.

Perfect location in Savannah. The restaurant, 700 Drayton, serves great food! Usually I try to skip the hotel restaurant, but I don’t recommend that here. Beds are so comfortable, it is difficult to get up in the morning. It is hard to remember you are staying at a hotel, when you are the Mansion at Forsyth Park. Highly recommend.

Came to Savannah with a friend I have known for 60 years and the staff here at the Mansion could not do enough for us! Always smiling and opening doors for us and shuttling us downtown to the sister hotel the Bohemian on the river! Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the coffee was outstanding BUT… best of all was the cooking class we took on Friday! Chef Shahin was so talented and loved teaching us how to love to cook and how spices can be layered on food to make the food explode with flavor! We had a shrimp soup with veggies, Chicken Captain, great sauce, creamy cheesy grits, collards, dirty rice and dessert was a homemade peach cobbler with a stiff whipped cream! OMG doesn’t that make your mouth water? Wine flowed all through the class and we were encouraged to participate! THE best cooking class ever! I will be back with a car load of girlfriends real soon! I thank Chef Shahin for a perfect night!

Got the chef's special at the restaurant, wasn't that great. Overpriced food and a ridiculous $25 corking fee. The dress is supposed to be business casual so I didn't expect workout clothes and tennis shoes, shoes and t-shirts, but they were there.

My family and I enjoyed a beautiful Mother's Day brunch at the Mansion on Forsyth Park. As we approached the ballroom, I was greeted with a warm "Happy Mother's Day" and given a gorgeous single stem lavender rose. (Purple is my favorite color so that made my day) There was a pianist playing a variety of musical selections for our entertainment and a buffet filled with every food a mom might want to eat! I was very impressed with the event and know that without a doubt this will become a family tradition.

Great hotel, beautifully decorated. Very professional staff. My only knock against this hotel is that it's a little far from all the restaurants and bars. But by far the nicest hotel in Savannah.

This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Expensive and decor is an eye soar. Booked a room with 2 queens but gave us a king. Said type of bed reserved not guaranteed. Why give an option if there’s no option? Also, beds were not made properly the next day or sheets changed. Beds were not turned down at night either. There were events going on and highly trafficked lobby and atrium. If this is this kind of establishment, room rates should be lower for a 4 star hotel. Autograph Marriott and AAA should be aware of how it’s being managed. Very disappointed.

All Kessler's are awesome and this one is no different. Fantastic location. After more than one stay I will add that a more accessible bellman when driving up is suggested. Always at least 3 valets but they don't do luggage to the room. Overall easy 5 star.

Was there for a wedding. The staff was great and the front desk attendant was super helpful. The mansion is beautiful and conviently located across the street from the park.

Hotel beautiful with views of the park. Everyone was so nice and pleasant. Only constructive criticism is if you are sleeping in… it would be nice if housekeeping had multiple shift so your room was cleaned once you returned that night. Music playing upon your arrival to your room was a nice touch.

This place is elegant and gorgeous! The services were wonderful, and our room was beautiful. The location is so close to every business and historical site. The only downside is the room we were in was pretty dusty and there is no parking lot, you have to find your own place on the side of the street.

Historically charming atmosphere with some contemporary twists; great service and delicious food. We brought my mother-in-law here for Sunday Brunch and were seated on the cheerful enclosed porch. Our server was excellent — very knowledgeable, friendly, yet professional. We shared a large and wonderful appetizer of smoked salmon on crustini, followed by a beautiful mixed green salad with poached pears and a French-cut Chicken Breast, as well as Blue Cheese Bacon Burgers. Mimosas and a Spicy Bloody Mary complimented our meal.

Highly recommended. I stayed here for over two months and loved it. Unique property, great location walkable to all of downtown Savannah, friendly and accommodating staff.

Great food. Had the tomato soup, N. Y. Strip, and mash potatos. All very good! The setting is very romantic though I wish they would enforce a dresscode, it too nice of a place for people to wear jeans. If you go take some time to tour the mansion. There is a live jazz band upstairs.

Stayed here on my wedding night. As a local we've lots of things about it. It was such a nice room, huge tub, and they even left us a bottle of champagne. Will definitely recommend this place to people for special events.

The front desk staff could not check us in until 30 mins after the scheduled time and did not call me when it was ready, despite taking down my number for that reason. They offered no help in this matter. No apology either. My family checked into another room, and found people already in it! Although they were upgraded to a nicer room for their trouble, it is terrifying this happened at all. The rooms were nice and comfortable, but despite leaving do not disturb signs up, the cleaning staff came in anyway. At breakfast they ran out of food. Finally, my car keys had been mislabeled. It was very crowded that weekend, which explains some performance issues, but I do not recommend this place. It was worse than your average Marriott.

Updating this review as I was impressed with the proactive approach that was taken by one specific individual after I posted the below — Lauren. She is so fantastic and is a great asset to this property. Lauren made sure my mother and I had a great stay at The Mansion, even taking the time to put together a map with recommendations of places to go. If it weren't for Lauren, our stay would have been clouded by the poor service the property has in general. Thank you Lauren for making everything fantastic for my mother and I! This is the first review I have written, ever. I am a dedicated Marriott traveler (business and personal), so I have a certain level of understanding, but not on this one. I haven't even stayed at the hotel yet, I will be staying there as part of a larger trip that I'm taking my mother on for her 65th Birthday. I called to see if they could put a welcome amenity (bottle of champagne) in our room upon arrival as a surprise for her. A gal answered and I asked who I could speak with about this request and she said she was incredibly busy and I needed to call back later. Wow, okay, I understand being busy, but not even ask to take my information or somehow make the experience a little better for the guest and for a hotel of this supposed caliber, there is not any kind of additional admin staff on site that assist with general inquiries? Yikes.

Stayed at the Mansion while celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful time! The staff was amazing from Gloria, the concierge, to Lauren at the front desk to Natasha on the Valet team. Everyone was always very pleasant and eager to help with questions. Even had champagne waiting for us in our room when we got back from our vow renewal ceremony which was a sweet surprise from Gloria! Highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful hotel! Great, helpful staff. Some strange price gouging (4$ for a bag of m&ms), nice rooms but I think that there could be some updates for the price and to be really considered "luxury". Towels are a little thin and generally just seem old, I was expecting really plush ones. The bedding is typical hotel bedding with a sheet and a medium weight knit blanket. Rooms are fairly standard hotel rooms with a nicer headboard and accent chair but have that same rough carpet that all hotels have, sink drains very slowly and bathroom hardware is dated. Despite some of the less than luxurious details in the rooms, the atmosphere of the hotel itself is great and the staff are really, really knowledgeable about the area and are endlessly helpful.

The customer service was very poor at the Mansion. I paid over $400/night to stay at this hotel. For that kind of money, I expected an experience similar to the Ritz Carlton. Not even close. The lady at the front desk was not the least bit friendly at check-in. When I booked the room, they guaranteed a room overlooking the park. Our room was overlooking the dumpsters and A/C fans. When we called down to see if we could be moved, she refused to help us in any way. We paid extra for the concierge service which included a continental breakfast. We got there an hour and a half before it ended and they were out of plates and forks. I was instructed to eat my eggs from a bowl with a spoon (instead of simply washing the dishes)! I will say that the hotel was decorated nicely and was clean. But, I would not stay here again due to the poor customer service.

We stayed two nights at the Mansion on Forsyth and it was a very pleasurable experience. The staff was super welcoming and the room was very clean when we arrived. The hotel is situated perfectly within Savannah and is walkable from all the places we were interested in visiting. The decor and ambience of the hotel was super unique and gave off a very luxurious vibe. If we ever travel to Savannah again we will definitely be staying at the Mansion.

The Mansion at Forsyth Park provides one of the most unique hotel experiences around. The entire establishment is covered in art work from the lobby to the elevator and into the rooms. The room is super plush and comfortable with a romantic layout and stylized decor. The freestanding oversized tub offered a relaxing soak to end the day, before jumping into a most comfortable bed. The 700 Drayton restaurant, on site, started the next day off with a delicious breakfast and gave us energy to continue to explore the hotel grounds and Savannah. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Very disappointing. Service was poor from check-in to check-out. Room was nice in size with great garden tub and walkin shower. The view of ac units was less than desirable. I had ac on 67 yet room was still warm. We were on the concierge floor and the breakfast and snacks were the most minimalistic I have ever seen. The bar tender alkyd past us numerous times without asking if we wanted more drinks. She became quite busy lifting candles. As platinum members we were denied our request for one hour late checkout. The valet that greeted us was great but that was the end to what should have been a great weekend.

What a beautiful location and outstanding renovation. The staff was exceptionally nice if a bit under staffed for an afternoon crunch, but the bar more then made up for a long line (which I could add is a good problem for a business to have). The bartender was helpful, fast and flexible with a team of some 15 folks asking for all kinds of things. Would recommend strongly then go walking from there. It's in a great local spot.

The hotel was very charming and the outdoor sitting area was awesome. Front desk folks greeted us every time we arrived or left the hotel. They had fruit infused water in the lobby all the time. It's really nice. Would have been 5 stars, but had some issues with the valet when we arrived. The one lady grabbed our large bag and dragged it out of the back, which promptly scratched the bumper. I immediately let the front desk lady know since she was standing with us at the car and she apologized immediately. She also informed the valet who apologized that night when we saw her next. Nice that they apologized, but there's still a scratch on the bumper. :/

We were here for our 5th anniversary. From start to finish, the service was impeccable, especially Kelly. She had a bottle of champagne and a hand-written card sent to our room to honor the celebration. The whole building was so elegant. The room was the nicest we've been in. It is right in the middle of the historic district so we could walk or bike everywhere. There weren't any negatives to our stay at all (dinner at 700 Drayton was a disappointment, but that's for another review). While it is very pricey, it was very much worth it if you want the ultimate experience. For us, it wasn't because of the luxury but more so because of staff members like Kelly that made our stay so memorable. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful atmosphere, with great access to historic savannah. Great place to enjoy some quiet in the middle of the city. The building has fascinating history and the rooms have a ton of southern charm. Love it.

From the ambiance and friendly staff to the luxurious room and bed… everything was perfect. This hotel actually made us not want to leave our room and explore savannah! Stayed here this past weekend and all I can say is WOW! The hotel itself is classy, very clean, and overall interesting with grand paintings and luxurious interiors. This is easily a 4 star place. The staff were all very friendly and very accommodating! If you're staying in Savannah put this hotel at the top of your list. Highly recommend!

At first, we were placed in room 101 which is right next to the front desk, valet and employee lounge area. At 5:30 am we were awakened to employees taking very loudly outside our door. We called to complain to the front desk and they did quiet down. The next day we requested a more private room and were accommodated. Everything else had been pretty great.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Mansion! The service was first class! The hotel is beautiful; from the exterior, interior and the Gallery of Art, to the hotel room. The room was amazing. The mood was set to ultimate relaxation from the moment we entered with a compilation of music called Bohemian Beats. The lighting, the decor and amenities only enhanced that mood. The food at 700 Drayton was absolutely delicious! I truly look forward to my return, so that I can visit the Poisiden Spa.

I went to look at the location to book for a wedding reception. The mansion is absolutely beautiful. Don't have any negative comments.

The good: The room is beautiful, the bed is comfortable. Thats the only good thing about this place. the bad: Parking is a nightmare. You have to pay $25 valet, otherwise you need to find your own parking spot on the street sides. We were not made aware of this fact until our arrival. They charge extra for everything. Using the bath robes automatically means you purchased them, and they charge you $90 per robe. The staff is snobby and immature. Breakfast is super overpriced. Overall, not worth the stay at all. There isn't even much to do in the immediate surroundings. I recommend getting a hotel near the activities.

I stayed in The Mansion recently for an event and so my room was at an event rate of $189/night; normally my room would have been $459/night from what I understand. In my opinion, both rates are a lot of money and way too much for what I experienced. Day 1: decided to take a bath in the jet tub. The drain was broken and wouldn't drain after the bath. Also took a shower and the water sprayed out of the shower all over the marble floor (so slippery! ). The bed was also pretty uncomfortable. Day 2: I was awoken by loud banging. They were doing construction on the room next to mine the entire time I was there. It would start at 7am and wouldn't end until after 6pm. Not only did the staff doing the construction let doors slam and use power tools but the would stand and talk loudly right outside my door. Day 3: ordered some room service because I was a little under the weather. Hair in my soup. Day 4: stopped by the hotel bar to grab a coca cola. The bartender told me she wasn't open for another 14 minutes and I'd have to wait. I asked if there was a soda machine anywhere and she said, "I am the soda machine". Ok. I could go on with the bad. The only good I have is to say that both shuttle drivers I had were awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable. In general the staff was cold and pretentious, the space was cramped and musty, the ambiance was murdery. If I were paying $89 a night for this nonsense, I'd shrug.

I love working at the mansion my boss and co work are great and I love meeting the new guest that come there.

We were very excited to stay at this hotel as it appeared to be very luxuriously appointed. However, it falls short in many unfortunate ways. We were in and out of hotel often and only noticed a concierge at the desk one time — whom was also covering the front desk. The hotel seemed minimally staffed as room service took almost an hour for a mid-afternoon snack. Also, the front desk takes the room service order — which resulted in a delay and inaccuracies on our order. The concierge level is a poor attempt at mirroring similar four star properties such as Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, etc. The concierge level offered a very tired cheese plate with ritz like crackers, pulled pork, and occasionally chicken wings — not exactly par for the course. Also, the food was never consistently available. Whether it was fifteen minutes or forty-five minutes before the service ended — they would not replenish their very limited offering. However, the spa was an amazing experience and was at par with many 5 Star level hotels we have stayed at. Two massages were around $450 inclusive of gratuity and it they well worth it. Our king room was nice but not but seemed a little dated and had very thin walls resulting in overhearing conversations next door in addition to street noise. Overall, we had a somewhat enjoyable stay however for $400 plus per night — we will stay elsewhere next time in savannah.

I hated the fact that I wasn't able to make my reservations on yesterday 8/30/15. The weather in Charleston was horrible with heavy rain from T. S. Erika. It was too much rain to take that one and a half drive to Savannah. I called and explained to the front desk clerk who later transferred me to the manager. I got no answer from the manager and left a voicemail explaining the bad weather with my name and number… no return call but was charged for not showing up. I understand it's a beautiful place to stay and they have certain rules and policies in place but have the common courtesy to return my call with a yes or no about the charge.

The property is beautiful and elegant. The staff is phenomenal. Natasha who was the shuttle driver was the epitome of wonderful. She couldn't have been more helpful, we loved our 5 minute drive with her. She brightened up our evening by exuding her happiness and care. We had an amazing time, and hope to be back soon! Thank you!

We have stayed there In 2012 and we are staying again tonight can't wait we enjoyed it. My wife really enjoyed the little shop they had last time.

We actually had a great experience here, the rooms were awesome. When we checked in the woman at the front desk stated they did not have any cribs for us (we ordered at time of booking). We stated that we ordered one when we booked the room, she said so did the other people. We asked they they do something about it, of which we did not get a response. After showing that we were livid, we were comped cocktails and an appetizer. We ended-up making a make-shift bed from a movable mattress and pillows. I would have thought they would have gone further to make the situation right. It was disappointing.

We are currently very happy working with the staff planning our wedding ceremony.

The hotel is gorgeous and lavish with some of the most expensive pianos in the world. The location is attractive to tourists but is much more toned down than a waterfront location. The hotel lounge food was lackluster and the bar was expensive for the provided drinks. The hotel staff was friendly, yet the valets were slow and I had to request toiletries and towels numerous times. If you are a tourist who wants to appear as a local and reside in a beautiful hotel, this is the place for you! Be prepared to leave the hotel for nightlife and food options.

I wish I could give zero Stars — probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We reserved an Executive Suite and paid a $100 upgrade to get a room to spend my Birthday in Savannah before moving on to Hilton Head for Spring Break. The desk clerk gave away the last Executive Suite (our room) as a complimentary upgrade to two women ahead of my family — we heard him do it. When we stepped up, we were told that they were all out of Executive Suites and they tried to put my wife and I in one room and our 12 year old son in a separate room. When told that wouldn't work — after waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes at midnight — we were given a room that had one king bed for 3 people. Had to go back to the front desk and, after multiple apologies from the desk clerk — we accepted a roll-away that barely fit in the bathroom. My wife had to ask my son to leave his bed whenever she had to use the bathroom. The next morning the day manager was very apologetic and said they would credit our upgrade and parking and I checked out with the credit given. Just got my CC statement — they charged it back the next day — requiring me to call and deal with someone on the phone with a lot of attitude. I am calling my CC company and contesting the charge as I feel it will likely return. I am thankful for the night security guard — he's the only one who understood service and tried to be as accommodating as he could.

We went to the Mansion for my 45th birthday and the manager Elisa was wonderful. So was Shana the concierge. Elisa worked it out so we could have two rooms with two beds so no one had to share. The Cooking School there was wonderful. The valets and bell boys were fantastic. Gavin at the bar was wonderful in coming up with non-alcoholic drinks for the non drinkers in the group. The bill was messed up and the front desk staff were had an attitude about it, which affected the stay a little. Overall I would stay there again. Just watch out for cranky front desk staff. WARNING: Do not buy ANYTHING from the art gallery there. I am still waiting on the painting I purchased. I had to call three times and the art director was rude when I finally reached her. She didnt ship the painting when she said she would and did not returned any of my calls.

I will never stay at this property nor will I ever suggest anyone else to stay. My wife and I booked a room for the 5th of January back on December 8th. We were not going to make the trip so she cancelled the reservation on December 22nd. They "could not find" the cancellation and so charged us for the room. I went as far as contacting the owner of The Kessler Collection properties. I have been told I will not get my money back unless I can give them a cancellation number. The problem is the email the confirmation would have been sent to is no longer an active email and cannot be accessed. They have scammed me out of my money. They know they made a mistake but because I offered the information of not having the email access they have decided to take advantage of me. Our network of businesses consists of 74 companies. I have not received word back from the owner so I can only assume he is not taking my situation seriously. The GM at The Mansion is horrible at customer relations and is running a dishonest hotel. I am letting anyone who reads this know The Mansion is not a location to spend your nights in Savannah Georgia. I suggest The Gastonian. My stay at that property was amazing.
