Just spent our second time at this resort. We won’t stay anywhere else while on Sanibel. Gorgeous, clean grounds. Amazing staff, great food. Everything was wonderful. So many amenities.

This is our 4th time staying here and we love it. They have everything you need for a great beach vacation. Beachfront chairs, umbrellas, pools and pool service at the main one. Kayaks, bikes, Pickleball, snorkel equipment. Breakfast buffet or bring your own for your condo. Fantastic restaurants on the island.

We just got back from our Christmas vacation it was our first time staying here but 5th time visiting the island! The rooms were very clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating! My daughter loved sea school! We definitely will be back again!

Island atmosphere within hours of home. Most amenities included, food is great, pools are fantastic, the staff is wonderful, and the accommodations are top notch. This was our second trip without being disappointed. We will become regulars.

This is my second time staying there and as before it was a wonderful time. Beautiful and accommodating. We ate dinner at Shima Japanese restaurant and the cook made it such a fun experience. The housekeepers were really friendly. The employees by the pool are the best! Always in a great talkative mood and helps in anyway they can. I have no complaints! I will be back!

Rooms are good but who stays in the room when you have great pool with cabanas and servers who come to you or if you like happy hour at the tiki hut. Beach great too. Bikes are free and plentiful to use paths are really nice for the novice rider and kiddos.
Will definitely go again.

Great pool with slide for kids and tiki bar for the adults. We loved having the bike rentals included. They even have bike trailers for the little ones!

Got ripped off for thanksgiving dinner. Medical emergency but they still charged my card full amount. I will be stopping payment tomorrow morning. I tried and called nice and had a snotty person. Never will I be back. You all are crooks! Yes crooks.

I spent this past weekend there with me 3 children. I could not recommend this place any more! Not only was the place immaculate, but the staff was courteous, polite, and always willing to help at every opportunity. I unfortunately broke my glasses the first day I was there. Not only did the front desk staff do everything they possibly could to help me try and fix them, but Lori took my glasses back to engineering to see what further she could possibly do. Thankfully with the help of glue and scotch tape I could see for the remainder or my trip. The room was very clean, food was amazing, and the staff was extremely hospitable!

What an amazing resort! After multiple complications with our Expedia booking the staff at sundial made our honeymoon unforgettable over the Memorial Day holiday. The ladies at the front desk helped us with our accommodations and even upgraded us to a beautiful suite when our Expedia booking failed to be worth it. I would recommend the Sundial to any couple or family looking for a stress free visit to Sanibel. We can’t wait for our anniversary trip back xoxo.

We had a fantastic stay at Sundial! From check in to check out, we had no complaints. The accommodations in the 2 bedroom condo were perfect for our family of 5. We really enjoyed the pool and beach area as well as the activities. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful 3-Bedroom condo on the 3rd floor with a spectacular view of the Gulf. The unit was just refinished and is amazing throughout.

Our family of five had the best trip! Our two bedroom had the best view and access to the beach. The beach chairs were ready every morning, and the pool was waiting every afternoon. Great staff and delicious poolside drinks. Don't leave until you try some sushi! We will be back.

The best highlight is the staff. So many fabulous employees who make Sundial what it is. Myself and 4 girlfriends loved everything. You have ocean views, maintained beautiful property, activities for kids, kayaking, paddleboarding, bikes, restaurants on the property which are amazing, golf cart chauffer who all are amazing. Esp Moe, Tim and Ed. Us girls miss them all. We love you guys. Thanks for making our time extra special. You wont be disappointed. I highly recommend you stay here — с Amy Davidson.

Sundial is an amazing place we were there for a week for our wedding. The staff was awesome and took care of everything even the the wedding day meltdown.

We absolutely loved our stay here, right on the beach! Everything was so beautiful and accommodating. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. They really made us all feel at home. The condo was breathtaking. I wish we were able to stay longer but we check out today. Not only will my family and I be returning but I will also be recommending my family and friends to return.

This place is absolutely phenomenal! It’s our 2nd year here and we fall in love with the resort more each day. Not only is the resort itself beautiful but it’s the staff that really makes the place special. Ana at the front desk greets you with a big smile. The breakfast is not to be missed. Steady Eddie makes the BEST omelettes! The condos are comfortable and make you want to just stay forever. Thanks for everything Sundial!

Just got back from a week at sundial. Apparently not all units are equal… but I lucked out! The unit was clean, up to date. It was close to pool and ocean. View was satisfactory for second floor. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bonus, even though check out was 1100, we were given the option to stay until our rental car was due back at 530. Sadly we were all packed up to and we were ready to go. But will remember that next time! Deducting a star for a few reasons. 1. Seems replacing towels and making bed the bed (not changing the sheets) is the extent of service of house keeping. 2. The bed. While not super uncomfortable, it certainly isn't for tall people. I am 5'7" and my feet hit the edge of the bottom. 3. $48/day resort fee is steep. I assume that is for bike/kayake etc. I think if you have no interest in using, then deduct the fee, or at least reduce. Esp given the fact you could not use any water items due to the red tide. Regarding the red tide, while the resort has no control over the situation, they could have offered a discount to those who did stay. 4. Construction noise was a bit annoying, but it is off season and has to be done sometime. Would I stay there again? Yes, and likely will. I will definitely make the request for same unit.

Went to conference hosted by Sundial and stayed a few extra days. We stayed in a 3 bedroom place. The accommodations were clean and well stocked. The area was experiencing red tide but they kept the beaches as clean as possible. The views were amazing.

If there was a possibility to give negative stars, that’s what I would rate. To begin, when booking my reservation, it was never brought to my attention that we were traveling there during “red tide”, I understand why they would not inform people however, them omitting that important information alone will keep me from returning. I ended up paying for the breakfast fast included for 2 for 7 days however, as soon as the servers see those vouchers they avoid you like the plague. One server in particular was extremely rude & inefficient. The whole breakfast experience sucked so bad that I decided not to use those vouchers towards the end. Now to get to the sleeping quarters, my nephew & myself suffered from bed bug bites horribly & not only did they deny the fact that they have bed bugs but pretty much made us feel like we imagined them. I returned home more exhausted then when I first got to that so called resort. Avoid this place, i’ll be advocating against this place on all of my social media outlets!

Beautiful place! Would return! Don't care for the layout. And watch your bill when you go to check out. We were charged for things that should come with the place. Like towels and chairs for the beach. And the free meal We were supposed to get was not free. And no one cares to make it right. But nice clean beautiful room!

Never again. After speaking with several other guests we found out that they were notified several weeks before their planned trip with warnings of the Red Tide issue so that they could change their plans if they wanted. We were NOT notified. We checked out and left 5 days early because at least half of our party (8 total) were having difficulty breathing because of the Red Tide, which Sundial picked and chose who they notified apparently. We rented 2 full condos. One condo was directly below a renovation. My parents literally couldn’t hear each other across the dinner table due to the construction noise. The master bath tub didn’t drain. Literally standing in ankle deep water for the duration of our showers. Only half of the shower doors opened. Lights burnt out in the second bathroom that were never replaced despite our notifying the office. Our confirmation email said they offered boat parking for $1/foot per night. Upon checking in, they tried to charge us $3/foot per night. Not to mention there is no actual boat parking. They expect you to park your vessel in the regular parking lot and hope it doesn’t get blocked in. This is ridiculous when you’re paying extra specifically for boat parking. Upon check out, they had charged the $3/foot per night. They ended up “comping” $538 but it should have been less than $200 anyways. Not only will I never be back, I’ll no longer recommend it to friends either. Fail, Sundial.

Stayed at the Sundial with my wife, kids (5yr old & 6 mos old), and my in laws. They place was fantastic. It was clean and spacious. The staff was on top of their game. The facilities were great: the closeness to the beach, the kayaks, paddle boards, the on-site dining. They made everything easy. Would definitely go again. With or without the kids.

We stayed here during our trip to SanibelCaptiva Island in our search for a wedding venue. Sundial was one of two of our possible wedding venues on the island. We had a coastal view condo and it was amazing! We could here the sound of the waves when we opened our doorbell which made for a true beach feel! The service was great and the staff was very friendly. We ate at the Sea Breeze restaurant there and it was absolutely amazing! Austin was our server and provided excellent service and was very friendly! I would recommend Sundial Resort/Sea Breeze to anyone looking for an amazing view of the golf and incredible food and service!

This was a last minute decision booking this place. I am certainly glad my husband found it. The pool is great! With a small slide for the kids. The beach is full of awesome shells and at low tide, there’s a great sandbar. Our room was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath room with full kitchen. It was just great. And very clean. We had a great view of the ocean.

I stayed at the Sundial with my wife on a kid free vacation. We love the place. The condo we stayed in was really nice. Having a full kitchen was such a nice touch. The staff were friendly and helpful and all the restaurants on site were very tasty. The beach in front of the resort was clean and always a spare chair right up front. Would highly recommend this resort for people with kids and without!

Great resort on the beautiful beach of Sanibel Island. Large apartments stylishly furnished and cosy. In the Balys Shop you get breakfest toast for breakfast, in the room it has fine coffee … Super restaurants on site. Sun loungers and parasols on the beach. Super service.

This hotel is a fantastic place to bring family and loved ones. The staff is all very friendly and the accommodations are well kept. The pool and hot-tub we well maintained and the workout facility was well stocked. Access to the beach was as quick as walking across the parking lot and it was a great beach at that. I would highly recommend this resort.

We stayed at Sundial for two days! Our studio was spacious and clean! The full kitchen was great! Audrey at the front desk was so kind and wonderful. Breakfast was pretty good. The island is quiet, quaint and relaxing!

My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here and can't say enough about the accommodations and the efficiency of the staff. They provided a bottle of champagne for us, which made a great start to a wonderful weekend. The unit we stayed in was clean and well appointed. The staff upgraded us to a larger unit as a complementary change. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks to all for making this a memorable event.

Lovely place to stay. Everything is clean and well maintained. Had a reservation with a webpage and when I got there the room was not as expected. One of the recepcionists was kind of rude but I asked for Ms. Walsh the manager and she was really kind and polite. Managed to get me a nicer room with ocean view. Really enjoyed my short stay. Would definitely recommend.

The location is great. Our room was really nice. The staff was awful. Everyone for our entire trip acted as if they were so annoyed to have to serve us food, answer questions, give us suggestions. Our room was not ready until after check in time and we had to wait. Customer service super poor. Thought there would be a better main pool. It it’s really just for kids. I would not go back to Sundial due to the rude staff.

Good location to the beach but we would not stay their again in building H or D We asked to move out of condo in building H first night It was like staying in a basement poor lighting very sparse decorating and their was a bad odour coming from the couch Bathroom taps leaked onto the counter no fans or ceiling lighting Also shag dirty carpet in building D and H bedroom Yuk! Overall the resort requires a good cleaning breakfast buffet was on the cheap side I would not have booked Sundial if I knew I had to walk so far to main building for restaurant and other activities No laundry in condos. Second floor public 2 washer and dryers available Neither condos we stayed in were very clean For the cost of six nights we were disappointed with the over quality But staff were very friendly Jane and Mike Toronto Canada. Nice accommodations. Pizza place and store closed an hour earlier than posted. Front desk was great. All other staff we encountered were extremely rude. All pools other than main one were unheated due to mechanical issues. Great location with easy beach access.

Do not recommend renting in section "L" units: Daily Ducks in pool (poo on sundeck). Garbage truck banging &/or delivery trucks EVERY morning outside of the bedroom 6:30am. Remodeled and spacious older condos. Parking under the units is a plus. Be sure to have water shoes as the beach is covered with whole and crushed shells. Nice island to see once but nothing special to bring me back.

Old Rooms basic service has no sauna nor a decent gym The breakfast offered is a fruit salad, toast and an omelet the pool is not hot water and there is only one jacuzzi for the whole resort is so expensive that I won't be back anymore.

Beautiful condos to spend a few days by the beach.

Sanibel is beautiful and this is one of the best hotels out there. Low season is great, got a decent deal. Breakfast included. A 1 bed apartment that was bigger and more comfortable than expected. I would definitely would go back during the same season. The only inconvenient, is when booking it is not clear which of the apartment will have an open ocean view and you can end up with a parking lot or another building as your panoramic view. If a family vacation is what you are looking for away from the noise and light pollution from big cities, this is the place during low season.

Big rooms, full kitchen and nice environment. They have many activities for a family fun day. Their pool is heated and it's close to the beach.

We stayed at this resort with our family of 5 last year. We were looking for fun family amenities (which it does have). Attention/warning to future families looking to book at this resort. We had a terrible experience during our stay. We travel several times a year with our children and have been to many great resorts. At checkin our room keys didn't work, our room was not cleaned from the previous tenant, no light bulbs in lights (which is an essential for evening), no working stove. We also didn't receive room service most of the days. We had to call to get every clean towel or garbage help and etc. The fitness center, which I used daily, was very poorly attended to. The hot tub was broken. The poolside bathrooms were disgusting and always gross and dirty. We usually don't say much for we understand the resort gets busy during high season. It was a must this time. We wanted the hotel/resort to address some of these issues for future resorters. We were offered a 3 night gift certificate to return to the give the resort a "second" chance. We called 4 months ahead of time and were told that they are full and that our gift certificate will not be able to be used. The costumer service is unacceptable here. I want you to know there are great resorts in the surrounding area and I strongly recommended you explore all other options.

Overall it was a great resort, the rooms were nice as well as the access to the beach. There are amenities that are included in the price but were not explained. This includes kayaks and bicycles etc… we were supposed to receive a wrist band at check-in that granted us access to this, but did not. My guest and I did not find out about these included amenities until our last day there on vacation, so we did not really get to enjoy the full experiance and ended up spending additional money on third parties… so I felt a bit ripped off there… also, the drinks are a huge rip-off by the pool! They skimp on quality and quantity! Im not sure if I would return to this resort for another visit.

We stayed in the K building at Sundial Resort. It's close to the pool and beach, which was very convenient. The food and service is very good, and I would recommend getting a cabana by the pool for an easy spot for everyone to gather and leave there stuff.

Excellent service. Room was spotless, great resort overall. We stayed overnight for a corporate event and the staff was more than attentive. Loved the place.

We went for lunch and the food was delicious! I had the fish tacos and tried the mussels; both were so good. The view of the beach was relaxing and the service was top notch.

Our room at the Sundial was perfect! Short walk to the beach and the pool. Well equipped kitchen and gorgeous rooms. Fantastic market with anything that you may have forgotten. We will definitely be back.

Great place for couples and families. The staff is super friendly and you get great service. Only complaint is that the breakfast options were really limited and what they advertised for breakfast wasn't there. We didn't have any issues during our stay.

Just went there for a milestone anniversary. The kitchen was dirty (counters, sink, shelves, dishes, etc. ), the toilet didn't flush properly, the kitchen faucet didn't work properly, the sofa pillows were dingy, the lamps were difficult to operate because of worn switches, there was a broom but no dustpan, and the lighting in the bathroom was terrible. Very disappointing for over $200 per night.

For this money that you get paid here you can get another luxury room somewhere else. At the reception the staff is rude and doesn't care about the people who check in again. When we asked if it was possible to get another room, the woman only said, well, they are reserved for 2-3 days of guests and we are 8-9 days D. We actually had a sea view with pool, but were moved to the last end of the resort. When we got to our room, everything was filthy. The toilet, the floor was not cleaned one after 5 minutes in the apartment was immediately seen on the feet a black pavement and the pillows had stains. When we complained to Dan, we accidentally got another room that was tidier and a bit cleaner. You hear noise on some days. There is no room service, you have to order and pay for it. We were 3 people and this apartment was actually for 4 and there was only a small bed and a sofa that didn't even have bed linen and varnish. First we were told that we would have to bring them ourselves. On the second call, you finally responded to Dan and sent someone. In the room there was coffee and a coffeemaker, when it was empty we wanted to have new, were then sent to the hotel shop, where everything was overpriced. The breakfast was the worst. There were fruits which often were sometimes also crushed, little bread with butter and otherwise you had to pay everything extra.

Rented a 1 bed/1 bath condo but because it was part of their time share program they couldn't tell us much about the room and what it had to offer (didn't like that and thought they should be able to tell us everything). We ended up with 2 doubles in the room and a double and queen sleeper bed (they thought only a queen sleeper) Lots of pools of site so nothing was crowed and a private beach. Enjoyed a full kitchen so being a full family we could bring all we needed and eat at our own leisure. Chairs/umbrellas/towels/sand toys/bikes we're all included but are limited (the beach toys they shouldn't even advertise since they only have a couple and they are worn down, very glad we brought our own) bikes are not beach bikes and that would have been nice and fun. We got very little house keeping. Part of me expected it being that we rented a condo and all the units look different (I saw a few of the other insides when we were unloading) but since it is run like a hotel I expected it daily. The first day we had housekeeping show up at 6 pm. We had to get them too give us more towels right away since there were only 2 sets in the room for a whole family. 2 units around is were being renovated while we were there (noisey during the day) and all units face the gulf but not all have a view (we didn't).

Nice resort, the rooms were clean. Our room had a kitchen. The huge down fall was the mattresses. I slept in the room with the king size mattress. That mattress was probably the original hotel mattress. It felt like the springs were gone and two elephants laid on it. My kid was sleeping in the middle of the bed and kept rolling into the sinkholes on either side. It was the worst sleep every and not worth $500 a night. All management had to say about it was "SORRY about that". Very bad customer service. Our family or friends will never stay at this hotel again.

Comfortable, spacious and well-equipped apartments. Family atmosphere. To my liking, something massive all over the complex. I get it because it's a huge complex.

Beaches and hotel simply Expectaculares.

We got off to a rough start here — — room wasn't ready due to a burst pipe in the room. They kept telling us 20-30 more minutes, then after a few hours just decided to to give us another room and a comped night — — only we we're never told that. Get to the room and it's much smaller and wouldn't accommodate all the people we had planned. Luckily there were others in our group that had extra space so we shuffled a bit. Food is okay. Happy hour specials are nice. You can walk out your door and be in a pool or on the beach in a few minutes flat. All in all, hard to complain when you're in paradise, but they do have a few kinks to work out at this place.

Recently visited this resort for a day as part of a family vacation. The location is great and very convenient, you can literally walk out of the room and be at the beach in 2 minutes. Included in your stay are many activities such as paddleboarding and tennis that would otherwise add quite a bit to a vacation's cost. The on site restaurant has a great happy hour, however their food is nothing remarkable, so perhaps a search for food elsewhere would be a better idea next time. Overall the resort is fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to book it in the future.

Great great stay! We loved the amenities, our condo, the pool and the quick access to the beach. We were fortunate that the weather was nearly perfect every day. My only change is to increase the staff at the on-site restaurants and poolside bar. One bartender and waitress for a Saturday afternoon was well below what they needed.

Service was a little slow.

My husband and I had some bumps in the road as we planned our Rehearsal Dinner/Breakfast reception, but overall the quality of service we received at the time of our events made up for a lot of the hiccups. Joe and his team took excellent care of us in seeing that all our needs were met; staff was friendly, fast, and efficient. The management team here is top notch as well, and were very quick to see to it that our concerns were addressed and taken care of. The Food we had on our menu was delicious and the view from their Semi-Private Dining Room is spectacular. It's one of the best ocean views you can get from a restaurant on Sanibel.

When people ask about our wedding the consensus seems to be "Well the dinner was a nightmare, but at least the wedding was perfect". I am so grateful that our wedding was held at a different location, because I'm convinced that's the only reason that we can say this! I've never been more disappointed in a venue in my life and for the amount of money that we payed this place — to simply have 2 family sit down meals for 25 people in a private room — it was not worth it. They messed EVERYTHING up. Tiffany was the event coordinator we worked with on planning our 2 events at this venue and she was an unprofessional mess from get very start. I really wanted this venue for the spectacular view of the ocean from their Semi-Private dinning area and the great reviews on their food, but she just constantly gave off the impression that she didn't know how to do her job. At one point during the process — after having to change my menu multiple times and THEN them making a menu for me that was WAY out of the price range I'd given her — I threw in the towel & told her we'd go else where, after which she pleaded with me to keep my reservation & said they'd work harder to right their wrongs and give me what i'd originally requested. Things went smoothly after that — until my actual Wedding weekend. My family arrived on time only to be told that our reservation was later that night.

Sanibel is absolutely stunning. This resort however is a little disappointing. The rooms are clean but rather dated. The mattresses were uncomfortable — especially the pull out bed, the "leather" on the couch and chairs are peeling off, when we checked in (2 adults, 1 child and 1 toddler), our toddler opened the drawer to find a huge bag, full of tablets and capsules! They were left by a previous guest, were not in child proof containers, and when I returned them to the desk their response was "Oh sorry — but they're only vitamins". Be prepared to pay for laundry and drying — something we have to get used to here in the States! The pools are small but access to beach is great. Bikes are first come first serve — so be prepared to be up early. Compared to similar priced resorts around Florida, like Orlando, this resort is expensive for what you get. But the island's beauty, friendly people and wonderful wildlife make it a definite destination …

Family place and very clean.

Very clean. Pretty landscaping. Lots of amenities and activities. Very good fitness center. Great beach. Convenient access to Periwinkle, the main thoroughfare. Good value.

Got pizza at "Slice of Paradice". Everything about it was bad, including the price.

The room was great for our family and the beach was just around the corner. The staff at the onsite restaurant was friendly and very welcoming.

The staff at the hotel are really aweful. No one let's you know that the pool is only for people with wrist bands. You pay $1500 for a week and the wrist bands are extra. Very embarrassing when they tell you to leave because you do not have a wrist band. Too bad, considering it is the only pool with a bar requires a wrist band.

Great resort, the only problem was that there was too much sand and water.

Rooms are very good, we stayed in 1 Bedroom apartment. They have lot of indoor and outdoor facilities available. Right on the beach, good for family vacation.

Room nice but clenning service not good, restaurants lack of diversity, same menu liunch and dinner. Won't eat here for a second Time. It is not expected.

I think this place is closed or out of business? just tried calling and it rang and rang for 3+ minutes it felt like, then it just disconnected me. Wanted to amke a reservation to stay there but maybe not. I emailed them from their webpage also so i'll see if I get a response.

Overall we were pleased with our unit. It was clean and comfortable. This is a very large complex of condo buildings and the pools were very small considering the size of the complex. They were also overcrowded when we were there in July. The grounds are well kept and the beach very relaxing. Except for the pools we were very satisfied.

BEWARE OF THE CHECK IN TIME AND HAVE THEM SEND IT TO YOU VIA EMAIL This is like a box of chocolates, you dont know what you are getting until you open the door because these are privately owned condos and some are updated and most are not. Anyway, the biggest let down was when I booked it, I was told that check in is at 12 noon and check out is at 11 am. When we got to the hotel, the front desk said that check in is at 4 pm and check out is at 11 am. We had to wait in the lobby for 4 long hours with infants and children. One of the rooms was very clean and uodated (C305) but the other one is dingy, smelly and old (D407) and it was next to the elevator that bangs so loud every time the door closes. The outside restaurant is a haven for mosquitos at dusk and the waiters are not very friendly. the beach is clean and beautiful. The only positive I can say about this place.

You want every member of my party to pay $20 for one of the 50 empty seats by your pool, despite the fact that we're happily throwing down $15 a drink at your poolside bar? You threaten to tow our car from your half empty lot because we spent some time at the beach, despite us buying your mediocre overpriced entrees? All of this despite the large signs at the entrance to your lot claiming that you're "open to the public". Clearly you don't want our money.

We have spent 10 days in April/may 2014 here. It is a very nice, well-kept facility, very well organized, and this time of year very quiet. From Friday lunch to Sunday lunch, not live music, but bothers. Max to 22.00. It were always enough chairs and umbrellas available. The beach was not crowded and one can find beautiful shells. The shopping possibilities in the vicinity are excellent. We have enjoyed this stay in a very nice Suite.

This place could really be a great resort; it has all the makings. But in the end it just can't cut it and my suggestion is if you are heading to Sanibel Island look for another place to stay. The room was very dated but had great pillows. The breakfast restaurant cooks eggs to resemble an over fried frisbee. The tiki bar was nice and the lunch menu seemed to be a hit. The biggest turnoff was the lack of TV and internet connection. Upon check out we discovered half the resort had service. Wonder why we weren't offered the chance to move? The resort was not sold out. I guess that would be called CUSTOMER SERVICE.
