Had some long time friends come to pay us a visit while we were staying here. She is handicap. When asking why they did have a lift like ALL the other hotels we stayed at for the pool, some (rudely) stated in the office "we don't have to have one". So if your handicap DO NOT STAY HERE! And they put chimicales in the pool at NOON just as we were getting in and said "oh you can't swim for an hour ". Who the hell put chimicales in the hotel pool in middle of the afternoon!? Should be done when the pool is closed.

Excellent price/quality ratio.

Not bad on a budget and right across from the mall it has a pool and a hot tub a sundeck and also a breakfast buffet… Not bad for a cheap sleep.

Hotel was okay. You can definitely tell it was a bit dated with the colors and furniture, lighting, and bathroom. Some areas in the room were a bit stained or dirty. My only issue was the shower/tub. The shower head was not in the best of working order nor was the drain. I pulled up the drain because it was pooling water in the tub and to my surprise was a giant clump of hair which could've been anything so I left it alone. The house keeping could paid a lot more attention to detail on these things. Granted it was only one night and we were barely in the room. Definitely need to work on some of those areas. Overall staff was nice.

Would give a 0 if I could. I was in the process of booking online. The website has "PET FRIENDLY" plastered all over it. I called the front desk to confirm and to get the pet rate. The woman was VERY rude. I told her that the website states that they're pet friendly, but thanked her anyway. She said, "Yep! " and then hung up on me! HORRIBLE customer service! I will make note to never stay here!

The room was well kept and clean. Tje office staff was very welcoming as well. I just wish there was a bit more to the breakfast selection such as more protein options but it was still good.

The room was not clean and had a terrible odor. I left the door open half the night and it didn't help. I also had to leave my shoes on at all times because the floor, including the carpeted areas were sticky. The only reason they aren't getting 1 star is because the staff was extremely polite and pleasant.

I did not like it, it is a hotel for passengers, low quality and service.

Lousy, the fridge smelled like something that had rotted away quite a while there. Old and ugly Hotel. Depressing, nightmare Hotel. The carpets and the bathroom dirty and very old. Hotel for trash and also expensive.

Very attentive and the Mexicans who work there are very attentive and helpful always ready to help with whatever.

There is no reason to stay here, and I will never be coming back again. Very dirty rooms. Bugs! Wi-Fi signal was horrible anywhere in the room, and couldn't get it to connect most of the time, and when it did was very poor. The staff was extremely rude and not helpful. The housekeeping guy was a perv, only coming to the door to get a look at my fiance. To top it off I got a charge on my credit card a week later that was for $70 more than the room and called them up and asked what it was and they said it was for damage to the room, but they couldn't tell me what was damaged. I asked a manager to call me back and that never happened and had to call their corporate office who also couldn't tell me what it was so that I could dispute it, since I have never damaged anything in any hotel I have ever stayed at. This is ongoing, and after looking at what others have had to say about their stays at HoJos, this seems to be a very common practice of theirs. I'm sure if it comes down to it I will have my day in court. Whatever you do, do not stay at this place. Unless I suppose you are looking for drugs, or a call girl. In that case you will find just what you need.

Nice room, OK breakfast. My 4 year old loved the pool but was chilly.

On March 19th 2016 I woke up at 1:30am itching, when I pulled my covers back I found BEDBUGS! Stay away from this place it's absolutely disgusting! I tried posting pictures of the bugs but I won't let me.

It's ok. We had a higher opinion of Howard Johnsons before this particular hotel.

Staff was very friendly. Facilities were rather disappointing. Door was missing half of the latch lock, walls and mirror had marker or something on them, ceiling was cracked, bathroom wall had some screw holes in it. We were not impressed.

Not safe. My estranged husband went to the front desk and convinced them to give lo him keys to the room. I was staying alone at the hotel, he wasn't on the registration. Not safe. Illegal.

The location was a little hard to find, as the roads are odd, but it is a bit of ways from clearwater, and or tampa, the people are average nothing sketchy. The room we stayed in King bed couch was spacey and nice, very clean new carpets, the lady at the front desk was nice. Didn't check out the pool but they had a hot tub. It's not a 5 star or even a 4 stars hotels in gave it 4 stars because it was a good hotel. We stayed at week it was quiet, and calm safe for families I had no complaints.

Poor front desk help, very sad looking inside! It had miss matched wall paper, bathrooms were in poor condition, room smelled old and musty inside!

Rented a room for a few guys in my family while on vacation, they were supposed to stay 2 nights. However after the amount of bites covering their bodies in the morning, they didn't stay a 2nd night. The person who calls herself a Manager "Nicole" not a manager is just a desk clerk. Yelled at me over the phone and said they brought the bugs in, flat out called me a liar and said "good luck to getting a refund, it won't happen since you prepaid thru online source". Upon further inspection of the bites, we have been told they were bed bugs. Absolutely disgusting! Not only was the room eeh not so "fresh" the service from Nicole WAS UNCALLED FOR.

NASTY! The rooms smell, the AC doesn't work, the bed is wrinkled and pillows are yellowish. There's nothing good I can say about this place. I'm demandin my money back in the morning and going to a real hotel like I thought this was. I'd give it a half star if it was possible.

Ummmm, you get what you pay for! We were paying for survival. Not cleanliness, safety, or hearty breakfast. I left feeling like I needed a hot shower and ingestible pesticide. I slept with one eye open hoping our vehicle would still be in the lot with tires and gas so we could get the hell out! Would recommend yall splurge the extra $20 and stay somewhere a bit more safe and clean. It was stinky, sticky, sheets were torn, washcloths stained, and pillows stiff and lumpy! Theres no place like home.

Will never stay again and will follow through to try to have this place shut down. We stayed there one night. The first room was filthy and the heat didn't work. The neighbors had a "working girl" and drugs were being used. We asked for a different room. It was quite late and we were tired so we really didn't check it out much. We were tired and cold and just wanted some sleep. When we woke the next morning, we found bugs in the bed, cake on the walls in the closet. The carpet that we thought was black, was actually green but so dirty that it left our feet and socks black. When we reported all this to the office, the girl on duty just made excuses that the manager was in meetings and that we would not be charged for the room. Wow! We called the corporate number and they said it would go under investigation. It was beyond horrible. This place will leave you with a disease, at the least bed bugs, if you stay.

Its our second time at this location. Clean rooms and great staff.

Called about price and they insisted we lock in our reservation that we could cancel. Didn't get confirmation. So we ended up booking another place and since we were technically a no show at the hotel we still got charged for the room.

Don't stay there. Manager Shane is unprofessional and rude. We have filed an official complaint and hope nobody else has to go through what guests our office placed in this hotel had to go through. We had to replace them within 12 hours of checing in. This lady by the name of Shane is a disgrace for this company and better stay else where. Coldwell Banker will never plce any of their customers in this hotel.
