First impression was that there was plenty of parking and I was happy that wouldn’t be an issue (soon realized it was because no one stays here). Opened my door and was hit by an awful odor. There are marks, dents and some unidentified gunk all over the walls. Items in the room are broken or missing. Doesn’t appear that this room has been cleaned ever (doesn’t have an assigned cleaning day apparently per the card I was given). There’s not even a smoke detector in my room! I’ve stayed in some rough places before but this place takes it. Will not be coming back here ever. Spend the extra money and stay literally anywhere else. Might I suggest somewhere cleaner like a public park or bathroom?

I would not recommend no one visit this mess. Dirty smelly just awful. If you cherish your life find somewhere else to stay. I couldn't give them no stars that why they have one… Run from this hotels. Only thing nice about this place is the area.

The room which was supposed to be non smoking smelled like smoke. 1970s flea market furniture.

Makaila made me feel really comfortable after my car broke down and I had to stay until it was repaired. She even olaced me close to my car so I wouldnt be nervoud about something happening to it. The bed was great also, I will return here if I need a place to stay during my future travels. Thank you Mikaila. As for the staff… I paid to stay at this hotel AFTER finding out I was swindled, notified the hotel of my situation agaist their "permeanent resident" the hotel threatened to tow my car after this man "so called mechanic" broke my car down but this hotel blamed me! As a army veteran, for the money I spent, I should've gone to the hilton or something, at least they feed you and the phone/ Wi-Fi works. My statement on Mikala stands but to be threatened your friend is the sheriff after you cut the room phone off while I paid to be there, and to take my deposit because my car was ripped apart on camera by your resident, whom is still telling me to leave my car because I paid them already. I can go on, but this place supports felons and the without more than us working people. I do not plan on returning.

Smells and you get a coffee maker… but must pay for coffee grounds. Oh don't lock your key card in the room. $25 fee for doing so… even tho they don't offer a spare and happens 1time. You may want to teach your children the "just say no" since most residents are selling drugs and pleasures. But laundry room is 24 hrs. Makes a nice meeting area for those night owl laundry junkies.

Air conditioning barely gets cold toilet clogs up Wi-Fi is slower then dail up stove dont work good I had to bring my own burner and portable ac and use internet from my phones hot spot not no were worth 300 bucks a week the one good thing is I havent seen any roaches most weekly rooms come with that so ill deal with the bad as long as the roaches stay away.

Absolutely horrible, felt unsafe IN the room. Asked for a different room 4 times before getting an ok room. Roaches, clogged bathrooms, water kept pouring all over the bathroom floor causing slips on the tile. Electric sockets were hanging out of the walls. Stayed 2 nights and left. They wouldn't work with us and when we askes to speak to a manager we were brushed off and they stole the remaining tab and my depost. No one to talk to, worst stay experience in my life, and that's considering I've worked the East coast from D. C. To fl.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in my entire life with my family, the room stinks like smoke, the beds are really uncomfortable, the ac turns off every 12 seconds and the button to change it didn’t want to work. We didn’t sleep all night. Personally I wouldn’t stay at this hotel, I just feel embarrassed towards it. If I was able to not pick a star I wouldn’t pick it.

My key to my room did not work and my husband walked back and forth from the office and room three times before we demanded a new room. Horrible service, she never apologized and just didn't seem to care. In fact she made it seem like we just didn't know how to open a door. Will not be going back due to this and other little issues with the room itself that we finally got into. There was a baby roach climbing the bathroom d1oor and the lock on the room door was broken as if some one bust in the door in the past. But then again, I guess thats why the price is so low.

The worst place to stay in Orange park! Slum Lord hotel. Showers hardly work, sinks and faucets do not work, toilets stay backed up constantly, locks and doors on rooms are unsafe, doors to bathrooms do not close, no maid service what so ever, no guest amenities, a pot and pan have to be checked out and they are old, broken, and rusty, no pool, vending and ice machine broken or out of order, bugs and roaches in hotel room, outdated televisions, cable hardly works, courtesy phones in rooms do not work, staff are very unfriendly, they treat guests really bad, … like I said worst place ever. I would not recommend my worst ememy, health department needs to be contacted. The franchise of stay suites needs to be notified as well. If they don't care that's a shame. It's their name that will be associated with such a horrible establishment.

Filthy, German cockroaches, old, run down, loud, smelly, and rude. I made the mistake of staying at Stay Suites in Orange Park on Wells Road. The initial greeting wasn't rude, exactly; just dry — not personable or polite. I booked a week. It wasn't expensive for the amount of time; but, when I went to my room, I learned why. The door was dented and had to be forced open, a dirty odor hit me as I entered, the kitchenette had food stains on the cabinets with doors that were all crooked and with different knobs, the T. V. Was probably from 1975 and received about 5 staticky channels, the bed sagged, and the shower felt like a squirt gun. I'm pretty utilitarian, so I was prepared to tolerate this. I fixed the door myself, installed a better shower head, deodorized the room, and bleached the kitchenette, as I doubted any other room was better. On the third night, I saw two German cock roaches. I got a can of spray and traps from the nearest Home Depot, and dealt with that… or so I thought. People live on the lower floors full-time, and leave shopping carts around from the grocery next door. Cigarette butts litter the whole property, and the whole exterior looks like it might have been pressure washed 10 years ago. Roach spraying continued. I didn't complain, until I got a neighbor that blared their TV all night and had to yell to communicate over it. Then I asked the desk clerk to compensate me for the list. She said she would discuss it with the owner.

Stayed here for 4 weeks during the month of Nov. While going to school. I didnt have a choice as my hotel was paid for by my company but if I did one night would've been one to many. The only good thing was lots of restaurants, grocery, shopping etc. Nearby. Wifi is a joke and never worked, housemaids only showed up once a week IF they showed up. You get one towel unless u take it to the office to get a clean one, they don't change the bed sheets unless u physically take them to the office yourself. Roaches were common to see. Tv sux. Outdated carpet with plenty of stains, same with curtains & comforters. Water pressure in shower sucked bad. Stay away, trust me! This place SUCKS, you been warned.

Stayed here for quite a long time. Very friendly staff, however can't compensate for all of the overdoses on drugs I saw on a weekly basis. People shooting up drugs in plain view. Outdated rooms with horrible Wi-Fi. Paper thin walls. You can hear everything, I mean everything your neighbor says or does. Alot of hookers staying here or being pimped out of rooms. Just pay the extra $10-15 a night for less drama and cleaner rooms.

Room is old and dirty, everything works but has aura of disrepair. Back splash peeling off, poor water pressure, stained and dirty everything. In an ok spot but legit heard gunshots in the distance around 10pm second night. No issues finding parking. Internet is abysmal slow, completely unusable.

Amazing staff will fix problems quick. Front desk staff will answer questions s about local attractions that may Interest you.

I am a smoker, however the smoking room I got was hideous with the smell of cigarettes. However come to find out the air conditioning filter had not been cleaned in clearly a very long time. Cleaned it and sprayed it down and everything was good.

I'm here for a business matter, but I personally wouldn't stay here out of choice. The front desk staff is very friendly. However, the rooms really need some work. After checking in, I noticed the key card entry lock malfunctioned and I had to be relocated to another room. My second room was less than clean and had a very distinct odor of mildew and urine. The mattresses sag in the middle and your feet are above your head when laying down. All the furniture is outdated and falling apart or the panels are peeling. I found bugs in the kitchenette area and in the bed area. And the remote was broken as well as the old fashioned tv. They do offer free Wi-Fi, but the connection is terrible and unreliable for any kind of use. You most definitely cannot stream on the Wi-Fi. And the general upkeep of the Stay Suites rooms and common areas seems to be lacking. Other people here have mentioned that someone's car was broken into as well. Granted, it's not terrible, but not something I would choose unless I was in a bind.

Location is good… I had no problems my room was cleaned weekly.

It was clean sturdy and safe will spend every hurricane evacuation there. Thank you Stay Suites on Wells Road.

Always a great place to stay when you need a quick stop. Very close to anything you need. Outdated yes but still a great stay.

Clean room. Clean bathroom. Nice bed. Restaurants close to hotel. Grocery store nearby. Laundry facility inexpensive. Very nice and helpful staff. Great value. Safe. Laundry room needs some attention. It is a little dirty. I would suggest pressure washing walkways. I've noticed some transient people not staying at hotel milling around property. Better access control is needed. Coke machine broken for ten days and counting. A good place to stay while rebuilding in a new town.

Staff was very friendly and professional, the room was clean and smelled clean and was provided with dishes, a stove, microwave, a mini fridge, TV all were clean and working great! And the staff is amazing the morning my fiance and I checked out I didn't realize that I had left my glasses in the room until after I got back home, called them up and they said to come back up and speak to the cleaning lady and she knew as soon as I asked about a pair of glasses and had them on her cart and was more then happy to return them to me and I am ever so grateful for that.

The Good — Quiet area. Room smelled great upon entry. Linen and towels were clean. The Bad — The room was "clean" (excluding the weird smell in the shower and ground in dirt on the doors and walls) but not worth the $70 charged. The fridge was disturbingly loud, and the room wouldn't get cool enough, even if we had put it on 0°, (it was at 69°). Finally the curtains let in so much light, its like the sun rose in your room.

This has to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed In! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone like seriously they allow drug addicts and thieves to stay there… wasn't happy about the fact that someone stole our stuff from our car and on top of that both the manager Susan and front desk Mary or whatever their name was they were extremely rude and they would not cooperate nor allow us to see the cameras. They have the WORST customer service and on top of that the microwave didn't even work had to get our own! You don't get room service at all if you pay for the week. They're just extremely LAZY and unorganized! And they take FOREVER to give you your deposit back. DONT GO HERE GUYS! Coming from an experienced customer and also a police officer and a detective said a lot of astonishing things happen there even though the employees will deny it…

The office doesn't want to tell you who Kathy o Cathy is but I'll go down there in the morning and let you guys if stay or go.

One employee went out of her way to make guests feel low and she humiliated people in front of others. I needed the Internet to do my work and the room I was in was blocked and I told her how important it was and if I could speak with corporate she told me she was corporate.

The rooms could stand a coat of paint, but the staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. Nice building, close restaurants.

It was a awesome place to stop and get a goodnight sleep. Would definitely stay there again.

As a business traveler who has stayed in A LOT of hotels, I have never been in a place where I was so afraid to touch anything. I spilled some water on a counter top and the towel that I wiped it up with was brown. The floors (including carpets) feel slimy. The nightstand had what I hope was soda all over it. I'm not a particularly picky person but I am absolutely DISGUSTED! I wouldn't recommend that anyone except the most desperate stay here! Please heed the other reviews regarding cleanliness!

This hotel was completely outdated and dirty. The carpet was filthy, exposed mattresses were stained, and the bathroom was awful. Also, there were several people roaming around the grounds at all hours of the night and they were sketchy to say the least. We did not feel safe here. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Horrible, I made reservations for March 3 to March 6 and I checked in March 4th due to late arrival, I spoke to the supervisor to request a refund for the night I didn't stay and she stated that's not possible because it's not their fault I arrived late and told me I should've called the number on the door, she was very nasty and besides that during my stay that started March 4th pest control interrupted my stay to spray for roaches and instanly sprayed behind the refrigerator which made me not even want my food anymore, worst extended stay America I've witnessed.

Room stunk, shower was filthy and had hair in it. As for I shave my head, it was not from myself. There were roaches climbing in the kitchenette and bathroom. And when I laid on the bed it felt as if things were crawling on me. The location was prime but had people yelling at one another all night and had geeked out people around. The staff was good. I only had to stay a few hours there before my test in the morning. I would not advise nor recommend that place to my worst enemy nor my ex.

I don't recommended this hotel to no one dirty carpet smell really bad bugs ect ect only one night I whish Monday show fast for get out here.

Cheap weekly rates, with easy access to shopping and food. Rooms come with small kitchen.

The room wreaked of weed the microwave was filled with cooked on old food and was rusted on the inside and we found a mess of dead German cockroaches under the t. V the room was not up to date in any way and upon making reservations we requested a room with two full size beds what we got was a single full and a twin I would not suggest the place to anyone I plan to report to the better business Bureau.

It was kind of a trashy place in a bad area.

This place isn't terrible, but they don't take care of it like they should. I have seen one roach inside the room phone, the refrigerator/freezer combo needs defrosted badly, I had to clean the dirty air conditioner filter myself, the bathroom ceiling vent sounds terrible, and lastly, water backs up in the bathtub after use.

Few good things I can say about this "hotel": a. ) They were nice enough to give me the room that smelled like a combination of bug spray and old people after I complained about their "no smoking" room that smelled worse than an ashtray (and just one whiff of the air in the original room made me dizzy) b. ) My car was not jacked c. ) I am still alive. I only stayed two nights and thank God ONLY two nights. OK so maybe I have been spoiled by the 5 star hotels in Bangkok, Krabi, Cha-am and Hua-Hin — — but even the 1-star hotels I've been to in other parts of the world, from the cheapest motel in the Philippines to the cheapest ones in Thailand… I find it amazing that something so filthy and forlorn can be found in the USA. I am continually finding myself in reverse-culture shock.

I stay here for 3 weeks. The place was not clean had to always wear my shoes from the dirty floors. On top of that they found a meth lab in one of the rooms. Need less to say I will never stay there again.

Pictures are very misleading. Room is completely outdated. Dirty doors, hair in towels and cigarette burns in bedspread. Had a two day stay, but checking out a day early to stay somewhere else. Might just leave in the middle of the night. Truly disappointed.

So far I've been living here on a more permanent basis and everything has been great. Clean rooms nice staff and very helpful I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a month or more stay.

Horrible. Woman at the front counter spoke horrible English, kept confusing things. The bed is so bad. It's like a box spring on top of a box spring. Everything is outdated, everything is on request. You have to shoulder-slam the doors to get them open. Water temp was all over the place. Coupons placed in the front office are months out of date. Outrageous fees subject to whatever they feel like charging you as a deposit. 40 bucks buys a nice night in some hotels, this is not one of them, go somewhere else.

My stay has been good the room is clean. Ground floor for special need easy to get to. No big problems to report very quiet.
