Very beautiful place staff was nice and friendly. Rooms are beautiful. The only issue I had was strictly a personal one of the bed being a little to firm for my taste. Everything considered I would stay again place was very quaint.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… I am so excited to see this grand memory of my summer vacations in the sixties is back to life. It looks beautiful and very much like I remembered it, though more beautiful. I spent many summers swimming in the pool. Mr Mory was the lifeguard. My sister and I felt so grown up going to the restaurant by ourselves. I still have one of the original brochures. I cannot wait to go back to discover it's restored glory!

The place needs oodles of work. Some random thoughts: Loads of pretensions. Absolutely no food (in spite of the advertising and signage to the contrary). Drinks only Tuesday through Friday. Incompetent plumbing (toilet dysfunctional for 2 days). (Bless their hearts, they do know how to work a plunger! ) The included Continental Breakfast is laughable: English muffins, prepackaged jams, prepackaged single unit cereal packs, OJ, the obligatory fruit, and coffee is the most one can expect. The Wi-Fi is so temperamental that it'll ruin any remaining Zen that might be left over.

Just wanted to put a thankyou note for this hotel. Everything was just perfect from the delicious food to well-trained staff. Little things like food serving, food quality and a wide collection of menu items were highly appreciated. The whole day was wonderful and nothing was difficult to handle for me. Really Thankful for making my day so special.

I love my stay at the Vagabond. Priority for me is — Comfort, and the Vagabond has the coziest beds with cool, silky sheets and comfortable pillows. (I left my backup pillow in the car all weekend! ) The entire staff from the pool guy to the manager was always friendly and helpful. The parking space is a bonus indeed. A++

Great vintage style boutique hotel. Affordable rates, FANTASTIC Cuban style restaurant with great meals, vegan options (try the Cauliflower Steak! ) and very cool, laid back service staff. Clean, friendly, great hotel!

Love the Vagabond and it’s rich history. I went there many times as a child, 60 years ago, as my grandfather built it. I stayed there in college break in early 1970’s and when I moved to Miami in 1973. It has seen its high and low points. I was pleased when I went there 2 days ago to see it is restored to its full glory of the Art Deco days.

What a treat! Beautiful space and a great vibe! The staff was amazing. I mean… friendly, attentive, professional… ummm gorgeous! Lol. We were served by a fun and adorable young lady… the food was yummy! Pricey and the portions were small but it was excellent! The bar was excellent! The young lady serving the bar was simply stellar. We were waiting out the rain and sat in the lounge… we apologized because we weren't drinking… immediately, she came back with water for the table saying: "I brought you some water because I don't want you dehydrating! " To say we were shocked is an understatement. There was a drunk older guy who was getting violent with the table next to us… the security staff, and wait staff jumped up and physically stood in the middle and defused the situation! We were simply amazed at how quick and concise the situation went from 0 to 100 and then back to 0. I am usually a huge critic of Miami and the service industry of the city… Vagabond seems to be the exception! The place is simply beautiful and stylish… but the people working there, seem to be the classiest part of the place! I will be back and I would recommend it to anyone!

This place was absolutely Gorgeous! Exactly what I had expected. The shower in that luxurious suite was to die for! I totally recommend that everyone should spend the best night of their life here. It was so conveniently located, too, especially for any of those transient vagabonds willing to try anything…

The restaurant is great for brunch, and the pool is like a time warp which takes you back to Miami's glory days. I got a day pass (on more than one occasion) to enjoy the pool and grab a cocktail at the poolside bar. The drinks are unique and delicious, and the bar staff are attentive and friendly. If your looking for a weekend getaway or longer stay in Miami this is a great spot to do that! 5 stars.

I had a wonderful time at the restaurant. Kind and attentive waitstaff which did not rush us through a very long (> 4 hr) birthday dinner. Food was excellent.

Pretty cozy. At first I was just a little sketched out but inside the rooms, they are really nice… to be honest, I'd want to live here forever if it was just me and my dog. The pool are is very cool, and the bar is pretty on point.

Very nice hotel. All the trappings are really great with the pool and bar. The rooms are also beautiful, though an annoying air conditioner and I found the beds very warm. I could not find any difference to other mattresses except that it was relatively hard and, as I said, very warm. The breakfast is very manageable but Fürn first hunger is enough. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Cool place to chill. Expertly made drinks. Sebastian is an excellent mixologist. Early afternoon, on a Thursday is very low key with few people. Supposed to get busier later in the evening.

First of all, don't let the "motel" on the sign fool you, this place is just as good if not better than most hotels on the beach. The rooms are still very new, clean, and spacious, and the grounds are beautiful. The hotel restaurant and bar on property are definitely added benefits. Possibly the best park was the unicorn amongst all hotels in Miami, FREE PARKING! All the hotel staff were fantastic (especially James and Micah). My only issue during my entire stay was an extremely rude and unpleasant security guard, which I was assured would be dealt with. I would absolutely would not hesitate to stay here again.

Best hotel I have stayed at in a long time. I loved this hotel. Every member of the staff was great and the pool scene was so fun. Great area to start from in Miami and a fun experience overall. Definitely will be back as soon as I can.

Love their rooms, their service and how is all renovated but maintained the look and feel of the fifties. It's like a museum, the rooms are the best place I have found close to my house to host guests when in town. The pool area and the bar are the perfect place to unwind outdoors after work. My two guards who have stayed there from out of the state really enjoyed it there. James Brown treated us like if we were getting to the Palace Hotel.

Great Miami destination. Great room rates. Delicious food and fair prices at 5 star restaurant. Pool bar and restaurant bar have the top bartenders in Miami. Had a great relaxing time everytime I went there. I highly recommend the Vagabond Hotel Miami.

Modern style, with the air of a 50s. Swimming pool surrounded by palm trees. Very Miami! Good cleaning, good food and good service.

When we first got there to the lobby the staff was nice. We received the keys and we went to our room. Immediately when entering we smelled mold in the room. Since we were a family of three and booked a room for three we only had sheets and towels for two. So we had to go to the lobby and ask for the missing stuff. We also asked if we could get another room since ours had mold the staff said their are sorry and couldn't because it was late (00:30). We understood and went back to our room. The morning after we decided to take another hotel because the first impression wasn't good. I would say the staff is nice but our first impression wasn't good and the mold was the main reason for leaving.

Really cool vibe they have going on here. It's a nice hidden gem in the Upper Eastside.

Small flat, no possibility much to obscure the windows to prevent the light of day you wake up.

Best stay, I recommend it for any vacationing or get a way place to relax. Excellent dj and food. Restaurant is kinda expensive but worth the money, and the pool is beautiful. Absolutely best hotel ever.

The Vagabond Hotel is beautifully designed — airy, mid century modern decor and big rooms, a central pool complete with theme appropriate AstroTurf and cozy poolside furniture, and located a convenient 3 miles from Miami's ultra cool Wynwood and Design District. I would recommend the Vagabond on the basis of its clean rooms and very friendly staff, but the complimentary continental breakfast definitely doesn't hurt either! 10/10!

I was invited by a friend that DJing at the pool bar. The people and vibe there was great. So much laughter and fun. Looking forward to the next time he plays to enjoy good tunes, networking, and smiles.

Don't let motel in the name fool you. This place is an upscale, sophisticated experience. It's a bit on the pricey side but worth every penny. The ambiance is pure class and style and offers an experience that is worth repeating. This is a great place to meet good friends.

A true gem. Renovated and modern yet true to the ethos of the original building. It was off season and rainy when I was there, but the pool area seemed like it would have been a lot of fun to hang out at with a crowd.

Did not actually stay at the hotel but have been to the outside pool/bar area a few times and it is always a great time. Great drinks and service! Fun and cool alternative to the overcrowded tourist spots in South Beach and Wynwood!

Not so impressed. They got off to a bad start by requiring copies of my drivers license and that of my wife — something which they archive permanently apparently. Anyone who values the privacy of their personal information should think twice before booking here. Also some rough edges. Access is only from front; there are gates at sides/back, but they are not keyed and have no intercom or anyway to be let in from those entrances. Then their was the electronic dance noise (not music) by DJs. I love music; that wasn't music. I travel a great deal and I don't mind showing my ID, but having them take/keep a copy — very uncomfortable! Other details like the access and some other minor details were just aggravating. I support what they are doing in the neighborhood and preserving the MIMO architecture. Just hope they work out their policies and improve the experience. Brett was great, others were friendly, but others were less customer oriented or not as well trained.

I thought the hotel was nice, and the rooms were cool… definitely the best wheelchair accessible room my wife and I have ever been in… so major plus there. Price is great. It is definitely NOT a family friendly hotel. No kids in the pool under 12 EVER… not even with parental supervision, and the pool closes at 8:00pm… NO EXCEPTIONS. This policy needs to be explained to people BEFORE they book… not during check-in, by then it's a little too late. When we booked our room, we asked for a wheelchair access room with 2 beds… we were told that was fine… when we arrived we were told all wheelchair access rooms only come with king size beds. This was a real problem, since we were there staying with our 14 year old daughter… we worked it out. But it really wasn't to our satisfaction… but again… we had no choice. All in all, my wife and I would probably stay there again, but be warned… NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY.

Not so great. Decide to change our routine and try this new venue for breakfast. On arrival (at 1pm) we had to valet park for which we were charged $7 (seven) and the guy parked the car 20 feet away on the property. One of the most expensive day time valet parking in Miami. Inside the decor was fab, open and airy. Breakfast for two was around $50 for the usual fare — scrambled eggs, four slices of bacon (extra), home fries (extra), 2 slices of toast (extra) and a breakfast special. Two bottles of sparking water and five coffees (no refills here). Service was excellent. The gouging in the parking killed the buzz and overall the experience was disappointing and we won't be back. We'll brunch at Nidos (right next door with free parking) where the $50 will include a mimosa, fresh bread and a full breakfast without the extra costs.

Wow, wow, wow! I stayed here 4 nights with my gf on a business trip, but what little time I did have on the property was all pleasure. This place exceeded my expectations of cool! We stayed in room 205 which overlooks the pool and the sunset. My only negative comment would be that to get your stuff up to your room you have to park your car around the outside perimeter of the building, or out front and walk it up the stairs. Not a biggie, especially for what you get. As an architectural photographer by profession, this place checked all my visual boxes. The design was perfect. I wish I could've spent more time just chillin' there! And if you're looking for healthy food, I was addicted to Mi Vida Cafe across the street.

Vagabond is the best of both worlds, Miami Crisp, with a decorated Art Deco decor. The staff is simply the best, beyond caring and professional. It feels like a 5 star hotel in many ways. The Vagabond is my choice to put guests who want to feel Miami Beach without the idiots. Bingo. Jonathan Drew.

It is like having family in Miami. The staff go out of their way to make your stay everything you want. The restaurant is amazing, the art like a museum and the neighborhood is so bustling with fun places and great stores. Rooms are retro mid century modern. Beyond cool! Highly recommend.

Went here last night for the party and DJ sets. I was so happy to see the beautiful restoration job that the new owners did on the motel. They kept it really classy and I love how they turned the old Vagabond sign into a sculpture by the pool. The frozen drinks were good and cheap, the pool is ADORABLE. The music was good, nice people. I would definitely consider staying here the next time I take a trip to Miami and I can't wait for the restaurant to open. So happy to see this lovely gem take it's place on Biscayne Boulevard.

PERFECTION! This past Sunday evening, myself and a bunch of my Biscayne Corridor neighbors did a Restaurant Crawl and sampled delicious fare from participating restaurants on Biscayne Boulevard. The final destination on our crawl was The Vagabond Hotel and it was a fabulous end to a glorious evening. The bartenders were already making the hotel's signature drink, the Vagabond Collins for us when we arrived. To make the evening extra special a delicious and refreshing gazpacho (which will be on the menu of their soon to open Vagabond Restaurant) was specially prepared for us to sample. The gorgeous, exuberant Billie Myers, Guest Services Director at The Vagabond greeted us and chatted with everyone the entire night. Also on hand to welcome us was Alvaro Perez, The Vagabond's charming Restaurant Operator. The Vagabond Hotel staff are AMAZING! These people are serious about service! Warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful — and this applies to everyone — Security, Front Desk, Bartenders and Directors. Good manners are always in style, and they know it! Really, the staff here is exceptional! This stunning '50s era hotel can be found in the heart of Miami's thriving, historic MiMo District on Biscayne Boulevard and 73rd street. It has been meticulously restored yet updated to reflect a modern and witty style.
