The hotel is very centrally located. A small garden/courtyard leads to the building.
Elevator and stairwell could have been cleaner (walls of the elevator smeared, carpet dirty). Rooms and bathrooms were also borderline in terms of cleanliness. The air conditioning didn't work properly and was too loud. We decided to take the two-point rating after the pool visit. The pool water was 32 degrees Celsius and cloudy. The pool edge was already greenish colored.

As soon as you enter the courtyard, you feel as if you are in Cuba! Very relaxing atmosphere and very good restaurant! Even though the hotel and the pool needs a face lift, our room was clean and very comfortable. By today's standards the bathroom was small but functional given the limited time we spend in the room. We leave early and get back late afternoon and out again because the Dorchester is ideally situated to everything! Shopping, restaurants, beach and Jackie Gleason theater. If our travels bring us back to Miami, we would definitely stay here again. The staff is very cordial and the lobby is relaxing. An older hotel with some renovations happening.

Why 1 star and not 5? 1) I stay 3 days in your hotel with my family and each breakfast we had at Moreno's, we had to wait half an hour before somebody come to the table asking for the order! My breakfast time toke more than 90 minutes each day… 2) The rooms we had were very little ones and very noisy. The noise from street was in the room. Windows closed! 3) I came back to your hotel 3 days later for a last night before flying home and there was only 1 room. I reserved 2 rooms months before! Finally, we were upgraded to a suite after half an hour expectation at the lobby! The upgrade was nice but why did you take so much time to do it! 4) There was no parking place at the hotel when we arrived (the last day before flying home). Finally, I gave my keys to somebody of the hotel who parks my car later. The day after, I had to run everywhere to find my keys because nobody knew where they were. Finally, all was in the lobby. So, my last night was good (in the suite) but the others…?! Perhaps, I could give you 2 stars but surely no 5…! Sorry about that!

If you stay at the apartment side it was great, pritty and nice, more modern and clean. A nice backyard and a nice poolarea, sadly without shower. The first night we get regular rooms probobly on the hotellside and they where very old and felt dirty, havent we got the ather apartments room after our little tripp over the weekend, when we come back and stay 3 night, we had checkt out!

I loved this location. Suite very large. Staff very attentive. Restaurant on premises so good. Happy hour really nice with great music and dance lessons. My next visit to South Beach I will be staying at the Dorchester.

We had nothing but good experiences at this hotel. My best friend and I (early thirties, female) stayed in a room with two double beds, recently renovated. Decor was nice, floors were new. The bathroom had not been remodeled, but it was completely sufficient for our needs. The rooms are on the small side, but plenty of space for the two of us. House keeping did a great job everyday, cleaning up The sand we inevitably tracked in. Javier the bartender is charming, and the $1 happy hour mixed drinks are a great deal! The bar/restaurant manager was fantastic as well. The food at the Moreno attached was yummy. The pool is not the fanciest, but it was clean with nice plantings around and bigger than anticipated. We loved spending time there. Very close to the beach and the chairs and umbrellas are worth the hotel fee. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The rooms and lobby were okay and clean compared to most of the dirty rooms in South Beach and the staff was nice. But the pool and the gym are NASTY and DIRTY. The entire place could really use an update and paint job. Our actually room was clean but most of the furniture needs to be replaced and the mattress in the pullout couch was TERRIBLE. Also the walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the surrounding rooms and outside. Most of the other guest were very questionable! Loud, rude, drunk, and our room smelled of weed most of the time because of the constant smoking in the surrounding rooms and I’m the court yard. F your a light sleeper this is definitely not the place for you. Constant yelling, people arguing, and loud music outside in the courtyard at 2am and later!

The staff is very friendly, they have chairs and parasol to be located on the beach. The size of the Standar rooms is good, it hurts that there is no balcony and the window cannot be opened, the mattresses are uncomfortable. The pool is a little hidden. They charge the Wi-Fi service and when one day did not come, I did not discount the money. The location is very good!

Very good suite that we had, large living room with dining and a very nice kitchen, what if, only with microwaves and cream, there was no kitchen appliance, the room very spacious and a nice bathroom.

The staff were very friendly and the room was very good. And breakfast artifacts that didn't work. You hear a lot from the rooms the noises of the bar.

Great small hotel, great location! The suites are great for families. The separate kitchen/ dinning is a real plus. The decor is in keeping with the character of the building, a little tired but adds to the charm. The team is helpful and house keeping spotless. Court yard/ bar is super with some live music nights. Pool is great and I would come and stay again!

Great discovery since last year the hotel no longer has its breakfast but a small Cuban bar does it right next door, for my part I find a bit pricey, you will find other breakfasts at 300m for cheaper pity that this hotel no longer is breakfast it was very well now I'll give a note in minus very nice staff.

Would definitely stay again! The hotel itself is so cute and clean, the room and bed were more than sufficient. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is right on the strip, and they have passes for beach chairs and it's only a short walk to the beach, the pool area is nice and the restaurant Morenos downstairs is delicious and convenient, we loved enjoying the scenic courtyard area. This place has it all!

I did live here in holidays in September to October 2016. I liked it, it was in silence and very relaxing. We got towels from the reception and seats for the beach. The people there where very friendly. The hotel is near the beach. I enjoyed it very much. The shopping streets are near the hotel and you can easily reach them by feet.

Nice hotel, spacious. It hurts that when you arrive you have to leave a deposit of $150. And they don't accept chip cards. You should update that.

Old and poorly maintained!
1. The extremely noisy fridge, which leaks when have the drop… The big pool of water when arriving at the hotel.
2. Very noisy toilet light too… "NORMAL" according to the technician.
3. The very dilapidated general condition of Room 4. No soundproofing, I pass you the details…
5. You can not open the windows! Great when you get out of the shower and want to aerate the room, no but!
To finish, pay attention to the invoice of 50 extra dollars when checking out… All this for Wi-Fi!
Apart from the Cuban restaurant attached to the hotel, nothing good.

Nice hotel with blemishes, everything you need — quite tidy, only the room service is so-so, the windows are not clean and hooks when opening, besides, it's pretty noisy at night — soundproofing equals zero…

The hotel is very nice, good room service, cleanliness and order. My experience was nice, plus it was the first time I went I can't compare. Yes I can say that it is very well located, all close very central. I put 3 stars because the hotel infrastructure gives for that, but I put 5 stars for the friendly and attentive staff who made our stay very nice. I'd like to go back and pick them. Yes there is something to change I would say Wi-Fi is free of charge and parking also for guests.

We enjoyed the spacious suite. The staff are very nice. Jose at reception was particularly helpful. We also needed a maintenance man to repair the toilet. It was immediately done. We enjoyed the happy hour with a choice of drinks. It is accessible to everything in South Beach.

The hotel was clean and the front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was great, nothing fancy… The real draw was Moreno's, the restaurant in the hotel. Great staff and there is a happy hour there 6-7. If you stay at the hotel, drinks are 1 dollar for the hour. Pretty great considering the cost of drinks in South Beach. It's right across the street from the beach and you'll get a voucher for free beach chair rental every day of your stay. Overall, I was really happy and would stay again!

The lobby smells fantastic, but can be a little overwhelming. The decor is bright and cheery! The rooms are quaint and accommodating for being in Miami Beach… you don’t exactly go there to sleep. The beds were comfortable. The details of the room could benefit from a little facelift, but not terribly so. The courtyard area is a little piece of paradise nestled in a very active city. Moreno’s bar is full of personality and inviting atmosphere. There was a Cuban band that played as you sipped on a $1 house cocktail from 5-7! Awesome happy hour! Great for getting an inexpensive buzz before paying Miami prices at the clubs. If noise bothers you, this is not the place to stay. It’s on a very busy main strip on Miami Beach. But, it wasn’t too bad. I would give it five stars if the parking weren’t as expensive. Plan to pay $31 a night for on site parking and walking wherever you go or catching a cab. I don’t have a comparison price to place it against, but that’s pretty hard to swallow regardless. The price for the room is appropriate for where you’re located and the accommodations they offer. I would recommend staying here and plan to return when I go back to Miami later this year!

Excellent location and very good attention, fast response to the presence of some problem.

The hotel is located on Collins Avenue so very good location near all the Big Avenue and just 2 steps from the beach.
The rooms make a little think of small apartments which is not common but great especially if you stay long.
On the other hand the problem is the soundproofing of the rooms we hear everything that the neighbors do and sometimes we really do not want to hear what they do if you know what I mean.
The parking is 31 dollars a day which is huge but it's profitable because in the rest of Miami It's $4 a hour.

Hotel really well located close to the beach and close to Washington Avenue. We had a great room and with a nice surprise large living room and small kitchen which is very nice by cons air conditioning too noisy. The carpet to go to the bathroom was all wet we reported it but its nothing to change and attention C is very bad soundproofing the neighbors of the room next to us we rotten our nights C is really a pity because the hotel itself is really nice. And beware if you have a car the private parking of the Dorchester is 31 dollars a day too bad as we were not expected to have to add this sum especially as we made a trip to Florida and C is well the only one that pays hihihihi after If you leave her in the street C is $4 an hour!

Situation impeccable, gives coupons for the beach (behind Marseille) and the little Cuban restaurant stuck is super friendly (happy hours $1). Unpretentious but very good;-)

I find it Excellent to rest and has a very good location, and certainly the attention of Joseph very cordial.

Old Hotel but clean. I do not recommend the rooms that overlook the bar if you want to rest as was my case because they keep the music at a loud volume until late and then turn it back on at 7:30 a. M.! Unacceptable could at least ask the guest if he agrees. It is a too expensive rate for the type of hotel it is and the services it provides. At least it's well located.

Very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and we had an apartment with fully-fledged kitchen, bedroom and living room! Ideal for self-catering! Very good location, everything in Miami can be reached by public transport relatively quickly. Stops at a maximum of 2min from the hotel.

This hotel is pretty cool. I didn’t stay here, but I attended INK! During Art Basel week. The rooms look nice, the staff seem helpful, but most importantly they have a really cool Cuban bar that makes a mean mojito!

The heart of Miami Beach, close to the beach! They give you armchairs on the beach! Excellent attention!

The establishment has just undergone a little refreshment at the painting level. On arrival I found the organization a little limited and draft as well as the outside broth this say the Cuban atmosphere is nice for those who loves and despite the small bathroom our suite was pretty.

Very expensive for the services they provide. Impossible to have breakfast or dinner very expensive. Majority of Argentines or a Spanish channel. Just novels. Obviously I don't come to watch TV but at night I'd like to.

I had a mixed experience with this. First, be clear of what's included in the happy hour. The bartender won't tell you and he charged me $45 for 3 damn drinks. It's a great hotel for art deco fans and interior decorations. The bar and parts of the hotel are Cuban inspired, others are with contemporary art. Our hotel room was spacious which I loved. There were things that needed updating — like the tiles in the bath room floor and the mirror who looked like it was dented. Overall it's a beautiful and quiet place.

They are awesome. We had some troubles and they accommodate me properly. I appreciate them for that.

Stayed here for my birthday this past weekend. Horrible hotel! The cleaning staff was not consistent with cleaning the room everyday. Someday we got floor mats other days we didn't. The lay out for the bathroom is ridiculous, it was small, no vents at all. The air conditioner was extremely loud. One garbage can in the room. The happy hour is a joke, you have to pay $1 for every drink, the bartender asks you back for the glass he served you in so that he can give you a refill. So normally most hotels would give complimentary fruit platter or champagne if you notify them of a speacial occasion. When the room was booked it was specified in the comments section that we were celebrating a birthday. The day of I asked do you give anything speacial, the clerk at that front desk proceeded to look over our reservation and told us that she doesn't see any comments about that. We pulled up the reservation and showed the clerk, she said she would call us in a few minutes because she needed to speak with the manager. They called and said there's nothing that they can do because we didn't call them after making the reservation to inform them of the birthday celebration, and their reservation department is closed so they couldn't reach out to them. How hard is it to make a fruit platter, or give someone champagne or wine? That's an easy fix. I guess you get what you pay for. Do not stay here if you can afford better. It's really run down. They offer beach towels.

Service is good. Breakfast is good but it's not complimentry it's $20 for all you can eat breakfast. Close to the beach. They also give you free Wi-Fi and two beach passes for two lounge chairs and a umbrella that's good until 6pm. The pool is also nice with cabanas and lounge chairs.

Great Hotel on a budget. My only complaint was the construction going on across the street however, I do realize that isn't the hotels fault. I stayed at the Dorchester with my sibling from April 2, 2017 to April 6, 2017 and I really enjoyed my stay. Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly. Amenities are nice. They have happy hour every night around 7PM at the hotel Bar. In addition, you get to use the beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach for free at their sister hotel. I do want to mention, and recommend something! I don't like the resort fee that the hotel charges you. They should just include it in the final price but overall, it was a great stay!

Very quiet despite being in Miami, care for guests and cleaning top.

Unique atmosphere, kinda run down, but seems to make an effort at staying clean. The $15.00 "resort fee" includes: Wi-Fi access, use of a small pool, construction storage room/gym for fitness, another hotel's use of beach chairs, and supposedly cheaper happy hour drinks at the hotel's closed bar (as in not open). Comfortable bed and cramped small bathroom. Reasonably located — one block from beach, not a lot of food choices close by, and good walk from general shopping areas. Continental breakfast is $15.00 and has pretty good coffee. This is not the Dorchester Hotel of London, England, but for staying in Miami on a budget, this gets the job done. Solid 3 out of 5.

I stayed at this hotel several years ago I have to say that my positive rating on service is strongly influenced by the enchantment of Miami Dream City and particularly South Beach, dear breakfasts but very convenient pool immersed in a tropical garden.

Excellent location, everything very right.

I did not stay here on my recent visit to Miami but I did decide to check the rooms out after hearing about some very mixed reviews. I had heard wonderful things about the Dorchester from friends of mine who stayed here for bachelorette parties. Although I did not stay there on this past trip, I wanted to see if I'd stay there in the future, so the Management was very accommodating and took me on a mini tour. I took photos of the suites and I could not believe how spacious and clean they were. Aside from the decor being a bit outdated, the rooms were set up very well and I did a thorough inspection! In my opinion, this is a perfect place to stay if you're going to be with a bunch of drunk girls for a Miami bachelorette party. This is obviously no W hotel but if you're looking for a clean and spacious room that you plan on messing up with tons of food, bottles, drinks, decorations etc, this is a perfect spot.

Very bad hotel! Incompitant staff, dibased rooms, its vert noisy. A window can not be slept. The brakfast is 18$ for lowquality buffet. Parking 35$ day often you will find no parking an you vave to park far away! No sun at the pool and much more!

What did I like about this hotel? Absolutely nothing. The hotel is a scam from beginning to end. The rooms and views are anything but what you see online. The A/C is not central and creates a hot cyst pool of humidity inside the rooms. The carpets are old and reek of mold. In addition to the horrible aesthetic and sanitation of this hotel, the customer service is terrible. Everything is cheap and poorly ran here with no sense of class or hospitality. The front desk was rude and seeked any and every excuse as to why they could not send us anymore towels. In conclusion, it starts ground up, and the management here is the epitome of UNPROFESSIONAL. Still thinking about booking with this monopoly of a hotel? Good luck.

Well located. Comfortable. Nice swimming pool. Warm attention. I recommend.

I stayed here Nov of 2014 for 5 nights and let's just say I will never return. The room was not much better than days inn. The bathroom is horrible and small. The TV in my room didn't work and when we called to tell them they didn't even comp to the room. The TV was not able to be fixed until that Monday which was the day I was leaving. The only thing I liked was the guy who valeted cars. Mind you I didn't even rent a car while I was there. Seeing others complaints about roaches does not surprise me at all. It is not the cleanest place. If I had been able to find a hotel that weekend I would have. Needless to say I showed, slept, and left.

I booked reservations with my family the Fourth of July weekend and had to leave early because there was huge cockroaches everywhere, getting into our stuff even! When we talked to the "manager" he still wanted to charge us for the days that we wouldn't stay because of THEIR problem. Imagine if their is cockroaches? If they get in our stuff just imagine if they got into the food an drinks they serve you! I do not recommended this place to anyone who wants to have a good time, you'll absolutely hate it! Not even the manager had good customer service, and the employes got rowdy on us! What is this!?!?! NEVER AGAIN! I suggest you stay else where especially if you have little ones or care for cleanliness. Also, cleaning isn't all that great, all they do is switch towels and take out trash. A/c in the actual bedrooms doesn't even work, only in the living room! I had to stay on the couch because of how hot it got at night! This is just terrible terrible terrible!

3 Star Hotel, and You Get What You Pay For.

If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful place, if I were you I will not come there. There is men at work in the adjacent street, the rooms are badly soundproofed, air conditioners make too much noise: hard to sleep. The size of bedroom is just fit for 2 people with a very few luggage, no more, the parking fees are around 29 $ per day (+ taxes), Wi-Fi not included, you must pay for everything. it's Miami Beach but I'm sure You'll find better places to stay.

The hotel was ok, but the customer service was just horrible! The front desk employees were not knowledgable or helpful, and the reservation rep was very unfriendly and nasty. We actually had to request for them to change our sheets as they apparently "missed" our room. I wouldn't return or recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area.

I wrote the following message to the hotel but got no answer: To the management, I stayed a few days at your hotel and thought the hotel was nice with nice rooms. On the afternoon of November 17, I went to reception to ask about the best way to the airport and how long it would take to drive early in the morning. Before I could finish the sentence the person at the reception said that I will order a taxi for you tomorrow morning. I told her I had my own car and just wanted to know how to find the airport. The answer I got was that I would ask the person who works at the front desk on Monday morning “because you will in any case not to remember how to drive there if I explain it today”. The tone she used was not nice. I felt insulted. She knew nothing about my memmory. I have traveled a lot in the U. S. And stayed in many hotels and motels but never become unpleasant responded before. Unfortunately I can not recommend others to stay at your hotel if the staff behaves in the nasty way.

Damage with a car you pay $ 35 per day and Wi — Fi in room $ 12 a day, the beach is not far and the doses of coffee in the room must ask in other hotels the coffee and tea was renew every day hoping he will s improve.

Never ever again! This hotel charged me for the minibar 2 years in a row, once 11 USD (which I got back) and this year 33 USD — even we did not use the mini bar at all! No reply to my messages (sent 4 or 5 messages since mid of November! ), no money back — I will never ever recommend this hotel again. Worst attitude to earn money.

Silvana, the concierge clerck is the rudest person in the hospitality business. Attitude, arrogance and ignorance shouldn't be part of customer service.

I was hosted on 14-8-11 7-8, it was my 1st time, I felt comfortable, is very well located, has a good pool, a good breakfast, the service is good, people with good, highlight angel who I received on Sunday at 5 AM, I had a problem in two balijas, helped me to give solution always with very good vibes, and out also to Saminne, in the Concierge, very nice treatment. —
Parking seemed expensive to me U$ S 28 per day. —
To take into account the minibar in the room does not have cold, a rare thing. — Fails to give me solution. —
It is recommended.
