Not one of my favorite hostels but the rooms have a bathroom, shower and lockers. If it's 1 night you'll be fine. If you plan to stay longer you should probably bring your own towel and linen if possible. My towel didn't smell clean and my sheets had traces of sand.

Book another place! This is the worst ever… don’t waste your money on a dirty place with insects. The front desk lady was so impolite. The only good persons were those on the breakfast! I will never be there any more.

The place honestly is very good but I had a bad experience sharing room with a person who even the same owners know surprised by their lack of hygiene and order. It is also highly recommended to go.

Cheap, but crawling with roaches. If it wasn't for the bug problem it would have been an OK place. Patio is shut down at 10 and in a quiet neighborhood. If your vacationing spend the extra for a better hostel.

Appropriate price. Good hostel. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location on great price.! People on reception does not understand english very well. But the hotel is worth its price.! They have private room also with a queen bed.!

Not recommended, rooms are cheap though but the conditions awful. Vermin in the shower, tiles falling from the wall, air conditioning that would formally force the pneumonia.
Towels and beds dirty.
In these circumstances had to leave the hostel prematurely and sought a new place to stay.
Staff was nice therefore a star.

Not sure why Jazz gets such bad reviews. If you're looking for a hostel with a ton of out of control partying kids then yea this isn't your kinda place. The atmosphere is really chill, has a sweet patio area to socialize and drink some cold ones with friends, beds are decent for a nights sleep, and it's a block from the beach! And as for the staff as long as you're not causing any trouble they're cool with you. Met a lot of cool people here even some lifetime friends. :)

They are very strict! There are cockroaches, breakfast very bad the only good location.

Turned me around at the door because I traveled with my Passport as a form of Photo ID and not a state ID! Ray, this vey arragant worker told me the reason for the policy is because they cater to foreigners not Americans. What a racist and discriminatory statement to make! I booked on Art Basel weekend when all Americans are in Miami and every other hotel is booked up. Claims there’s no other employees to talk to.

It's not the best hostel in Miami but it is a great value. Sure the rooms and other parts of the place can use an upgrade but overall I found it to be okay. As long as you abide by the simple rules, you will be fine. Bunk beds in the 12 person dorm was a little tight but manageable. Personally, I'd recommend staying in a 4 person or 8 if your budget allows it. The kitchen is just a basic setup with plates and utensils with two microwaves and a big fridge to store your food. In each room you will be assigned a locker but you must be sure to bring your own padlock. You also receive a towel, which can be exchanged after two days use.

Much of the stay in a hostel makes the people with whom you share the room, in our case the order and cleanliness were not the most comfortable in our stay. The attention in the lobby by part of Nancy very good.

Called to make reservations. Very rude and arrogant female on other end of phone. Could not hsve a calm conversation with her. I ended up telling her I will pass on staying there and hanging up on her. If they are gonna be like that on phone with me makes me think they will be worse if I stay there. totaly turned of the place now.

I can't describe how I was treated in this place, the rude and bad front desk girl as if I wasn't a person! The worst hostel of my life after 10 years traveling!

FYI, I've read the reviews days ago and despite that, I went to check the place personally to complete a booking and take advantage of a good rate. First stepped in, felt the negative vibe and hostile attitude from a disgraced Customer service staff: unwelcoming, rude and disrespectful. Place looks dirty and uninhabitable. "When cheap can be expensive"

Very bad service and rude. They were unpolite all the time except when they wanna sell you something. Bad and uncomfortable beds. There were cockroach in the room. They close the kitchen at 11. You can not speak, drink or listen to music after 11. Boring place. If you want to have a great time and party, this is not the place.

Common area feels dirty and no good vibes. No charger/lights at each hostel bed. Blanket is nothing but bedsheets (blanket requires ID wtf). Locker had no lock (had to buy my own). No Wi-Fi in room. Staff were very very unfriendly. Activities are lame so I ended up going to other hostel parties.

So I stayed here and the location was great! I saw that someone put they had bed bugs and decided to give it a try myself, when I walked into my room with 8 beds I turn the light on in the room and roaches start running across the floor, then I start searching the sheets for bugs and saw blood spots on there mattresses. So I tried to stay out as long as possible so that I didn't have to sleep there too long, I slept with the lights​ on scared roaches were going to crawl on me, then whe n I woke up I look down at the bed and there it is a live bed bug walking where I was just laying down, I go to front desk and ask him to walk back to my room with me so they can see this, he acted like he barely spoke English and I just laughed at him and he laughed back! IF YOU LOOK ON YELP YOU WILL SEE THE PICTURES OF THE LIVE BED BUGS AND MY SCARS TO PROVE IT,,,,, THIS WAS IN APRIL 17 STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Positive: great location walkable to parks and beaches; price is ok and bathroom in dorm. Negative: room has bad smell and mattress is uncomfortable; poor sound insulation — people talking and laughing loud at quiet hours that woke me up several times; sheet is too thin and pillowcase is not clean; staff not patient or respectful; shower is very cold. Generally had a fair stay but the unfriendly customer service ruined it all.

I was in a hurry to get out of this place.

Hostel is dead, nobody comes here. International travelers hostel and SoBe are both significantly better. Avoid it.

Nice hostel. Rooms are clean and private bathrooms by room. The staff and management is amazing.

It is a disagreeable atmosphere, reception people are the most rude and nasty in the world at any time are willing to help you and treat you as if they were giving you the stay in place, definitely the worst experience I had in Miami.

Pretty nice. Close to the ocean. Some guys only speak spanish…

The mattresses needed to be replaced years ago. You will not sleep well on them. Staff is unbelievably rude. Never seen anything like it. Doing their job is like doing you a favor. Internet is horrendous. Everyone here should be fired.

Very fun atmosphere! Great deals on different events through the hostel! Enjoy your stay here with people from all over the world.

Dirty rooms. Beds are 3 inches of foam on metal bars. It's unbearably hot inside. Yes we saved money, but this place was the lowlight of our trip…

This place is absolutely disgusting! There ARE bedbugs AND roaches, but the bed bugs were the most disturbing and disgusting. I was there 4 days, and my sheets were changed once … per my request. The doorm floors were filthy. The staff weren't friendly but rather standoffish. I got a lot of attitude when I asked questions about my stay. There is NO free parking like it says online. The building is rather dilapidated. It was unsanitary across the board. I never saw them clean bathrooms once. My last night I ended up getting a hotel room I felt so disgusted. The only reason I give it 1 star is for the other amazing guest I had the pleasure of befriending.

Had bed bugs and got no compensation, staff arrogant and unhelpful.

Staff are rude and stupid. The beds are horrible. The internet is slow. The only star is for the cool people you meet. Or probably I was just lucky.

Worse than a condemned fraternity basement. Has bugs of all types. Homeless people hang out all day on the patio but guests can not stand on the sidewalk after 10pm.

Well run, great location, clean, comfortable beds. Full of great people and lot of fun especially traveling solo.

I've made the worst mistake of booking this hostel the previous summer. I was greeted with hostility from the staff from the very beginning. I've had my tablet stolen from my room (likely by the cleaning lady) and the staff reacted only with hostility and were unwilling to examine security footage (! ). The only thing I could recommend is the food. Overall, I would stay away.

Charged over $10 more than advertised, when I questioned was rudely told: "no that was just the internet price, you should have done it on the internet if you wanted to pay that".

The worst you can ever imagine. First of all, they have a major mosquito problem, Secondly, there is no stove or burner in the kitchen. The microwave looks horrible and is not cleaned out from daily food making. The mattresses are old and make a lot of noises when you move. The housekeeping personnel looks like they have a storage problem, you can really see how they like their job. 1 bathroom in the room for 8, 1 public bathroom near the kitchen. The phone rings sometimes about 10 minutes, nobody cares for picking up or customer service. Overall bad management, hot really hygienic, the worst place you can stay.

I didn't like it at all. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends! Pillow and mattress were like a flat ball, very uncomfortable. The bunk bed was another problem, if the person in any another bed moved, it would wake you up. The toilet flush of the restroom in our bedroom was not working. The staff were not the kind of people that make you feel welcome, and they didn't let us use the patio chairs in the lobby because "they are not for use" (in this case, there weren't enough available spots for my friends and I in the lobby). The Wi-Fi is horrible, my 3G/4G is way faster than it.

The Most worst hostel I have been Small and uncomfortable bed Just 1 laundry machine You can use kickhen just during 8-11 U can use laundry just during 5pm-11pm U cant use Wi-Fi in the room, can use just in the lobby And nasty building and stuff I hate hate hate this hostel.

Have you been to jail? Some jails are more comfortable. Room: 8 people — 1 bathroom, sink is in the room, so you have to brush your teeth in front of everybody and hear and see other people brushing theirs. Gloomy rooms. Cheap metal bunk beds, small, not a comfortable mattress. People: Mostly BLACK, local white trash, junkies. (no European tourists). People was doing drugs in my room. Security: None Stuff: Unprofessional Breakfast: 2 pancakes with chocolate chip, coffee. Internet: SLOW.
