Have stayed here quite a few times as a quiet getaway. The owner is wonderful and very reasonable. Great views of the gulf. Restaurant is amazing and the hotel stays quiet at night. Only negative is the parking on the weekends. I recommend.

Stayed here for my first visit back to Florida in 15 years for my wedding and we loved this hotel right by the beach. Great food at hotel restaurant or 10 steps away at Sam's beach bar! Beautiful views from hotel rooms.

Great setting, was a bit warm in there. Food is expensive and maybe should be a tad cheaper to me. Service was fantastic.

This place is amazing! Very friendly and accommodating staff! Manager Joe is absolutely great! Rooms are very clean. Basically a small condo set up with kitchenette and separate sleeping quarters. Their food is amazing. They have a restaurant and bar too. There's also a tiki bar right across the street! If your in the area, stay here! You won't be sorry!

Dissapointed to see any negative reviews. The food is always great, I've seen happier servers, but the food makes up for any of the server issues, I DO know the owners can be Hard on employees by history and word of mouth, that's a double edged sword, it's working in the kitchen. Not so with the servers… I'm putting the mediocre server issue on the owners shoulders, seriously treat them better, you'll then have it made! I've NEVER had a bad meal there, but the servers probably need some love.

They did a great job updating! Right behind Sam's beach club which was great! Nice little place to stay for a night!

Very disappointing. We love to support local businesses so we will give it one more try but this time the service was terrible and the food was mediocre at best (except the steak, go figure). My husband got the ribeye as he does not like seafood and he said it was very good. He also sad the side salad that comes with it was very good. I ordered the seafood combo with flounder, grouper, shrimp, and scallops. I opted for Manhattan clam chowder which was so salty that I couldn’…t eat it. The shrimp and scallops were overcooked and the flounder was very mushy as if it were previously frozen. The grouper was just okay. Our waitress never asked if I wanted another glass of wine and when I called her over to ask for another, she disappeared for at least 20 minutes. By that time we were finished with our meals and just wanted the check. When she finally came back, I cancelled my wine that she obviously forgot about. She was very apologetic but I still don’t get how a waitress disappears after receiving a drink order. I can understand if she was actually waiting on other patrons but she was nowhere in the vicinity. I would have given one star if not for my husband enjoying his steak. We will give it one more try since I’ve heard so many good things. I really want to like this place!

My friend and I love this place. We are there at least 2-3 times a week and always have special occasions there.
Our meals have always been perfect. However, last evening everyone’s meal was over cooked and dry. I’m talking salmon, pork chop, lobster.
Would I go back? Of course! In fact going to be there this Wednesday.
Cook just had a bad day!

Hands down best seafood we have ever had. Menu has lots of choices. Met one of the owners super friendly. Our waitress Anna was awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It's great! A little pricey for off season and the location, but I love my hidden jem. Great food in the restaurant as well. The staff for both are amazing and helpful.

05/06/2018 My friend from Naples, Florida decided to come up and visit for the day, well here we are staying a night on Hudson beach. As MIKE at the front desk booked us within 7 minutes, engaged in conversation and made it clear and easy about a simple stay. We asked him what room had the best views of the water and sunset, he said the top floor is the best and I got just the right room. So I'm calling this the sunset room because the sunset directly through the trees into the horizon. Its very clean! It's updated and remodeled, really decent size and it also has a central ac which is a big plus. Have no issues staying here with two bars two restaurant's to choose from and a small beach.

The hotel is low key. Honestly, rooms one and two are the best because they are farthest from the bar and both rooms have patios with tables outside. We loved these two rooms. They were clean and spacious, and directly across the street is a small beach where the kids enjoyed playing in the sand. We brought our 32 foot boat and parked it at the marina across the street, which was visible from the window in our room. The bar and pub called Sams had a 20 plus party wait every night we were here, so we never even got to try their food. We did, however, eat at the Inn on the Gulf restaurant, which was upscale and pricey, but their food was amazing. If you aren’t on a budget, then I would highly recommend eating here. The only thing I was displeased about was the pricing. The rooms sleep six, but you are charged for each additional person after the second. We had eight people and two rooms, and paid over $1200 for four nights. I wasn’t aware of the extra person fee til we arrived, but the owner was nice enough to give us a 10% discount to compensate. I posted the same review by accident under my other account.

Pleased with accommodations and I'm picky. It's an older establishment, but rooms are clean and newly renovated. Granite countertops. Located across from Sam's Beach Bar which was hopping with live music all afternoon and evening. Although we have a nice view of the Gulf, not much of a beach. I'd call it a kiddie beach. Picnic pavilions available with grills and tables. Great spot to watch a sunset. Loads of boats going in and out of nearby water way. People are friendly.

I am a frequent patron of Inn on the Gulf. The staff is wonderful and the food is amazing every single time. There is absolutely nowhere else you can get such a wonderful experience with amazing views of the beach and delicious food.

These people are idiots. Order was not ready at time promised and my husband"s order they had run out of. Had his cell number and did not call to ask what else he might want. Told him it would take 20 more minutes to get his replacement ready, while mine got old and cold. Terrible lack of customer care.

Outside seating and also indoors. Food is very good and so is the atmosphere. Great to sit outside.

We are actually older than the picture my husband has posted, and lived most of our lives in New England. The New England style seafood dishes at Inn on the Gulf are consistently excellent, as is the service both at table and take out. We have been dining with the Inn frequently in the past few months and find that the new owners are gracious and have a good idea of how to run the business well. The Inn is hands down the best restaurant that we have come across in western Pasco county in the 6+ years we have lived here. Nice option — they take reservations. Having previously owned a restaurant, we are very picky about cleanliness and consistency of food. The Inn scores 5 stars on both. Full bar makes decent drinks too. You won't be embarrassed taking out of town guests here for a meal, and if you love seafood you'll likely become regulars like we have become.

The big guy with black ford truck is awesome. So props to him. The bartender was great also. I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for the great experience. And it's only been day two! If u have a family then stay here. The staff is great with them!

Efficient, friendly check in and out. Safe area. Very clean. Attached restaurant is great. Right across from the beach. Large rooms, excellent kitchenette. My only note would be that the furnishings are well worn but very clean and comfortable. I loved that there were patio chairs outside of our room to enjoy the view of the sunset. This is a great place to stay at a great value.

Been here once before and it was excellent. Today, the service was great; atmosphere great; food — not so great. Three of us got the grouper fish 'n chips and one ordered the classic hamburger. The hamburger had grease standing on it. My mother-in-law had to blot the grease with her napkin. The three of us who ordered the fish 'n chips were on garlic overload. The fish was seasoned so heavily with garlic that you could not even tell it was fish. Will think twice before returning.

This was my favorite restaurant in Florida. Very nice place overlooking the beach. Fantastic food and a great bar. I drove past it the first time thinking it was just an INN. Once We discovered how great this place was, we went often. Don't miss out. If you are looking for a nice place to eat this is it! Affordable friendly and a wonderful sunset!

Joe took my order over the phone he was very helpful. Mike check us inn and was very helpful when the coffee table was loose took care of it. They were outstanding Mike suggested the restaurant for Chow the surf and turf was to die for the stuffed grouper was phenomenal the rooms were clean our waitress Christina was outstanding. And room service for cleaning the rooms those three ladies were outstanding come in and clean the room one two three strongly recommend this place the hospitality the food The View was succulent I'll be back room 11 and 12 thanks everyone! PS all these other folks that give a bad review must like staying at the Hilton and paying that the outrageous price this place was very reasonable go figure take a chill pill.

We stay here a lot they would not being us a fan. We are dying of heat! The kitchen cools down however our room is hott as hell. Bring us a fan. WE ARE GOOD COSTUMERS! They wont bring us a fan! Great place tho!

WOW… One of the best beach side hotel restaurants I've been to in a long time.

Got the surf and turf NO taste to the steak or lobster had NO flavor, the salad was just lettuce and cheese and dressing the lettuce was OLD and the motserella sticks also had NO flavor everything was so bland and they charged me a tip 14$ to tip waitresses who were very rude and disrespectful and not attending to the table. They also did NOT inform me they put the tips on the check which I think is very rude why should I have to tip someone who was not doing there job. 97$ for a crap meal. I will NOT ever return to this place.

Valentines Day 2016, party of 10 with reservations. Allow me to say that our server was awesome. She was on top of her game. Appetizers were ordered as well as drinks. Meals were ordered mostly seafood and chicken parm. The seafood was overloaded with garlic. 9 of the 10 meals came out at the same time however, 1 chicken parm came as the other 9 were finishing our meals, delivered by one of the owners. I asked "is his meal complementary? laughter followed by NO. When the bill arrived we were in fact charged for the meal. The owner was again asked why we were being charged for a very late meal. He starts with ' it was 4 minutes late" ok … more like 10 or 15 but. If you knew that why didn't you make it right. He mentioned 'it's Valentines Day. My response was ' I dont care if it's Christmas. What happened was wrong, you should make it right. He offered a free dessert… lol. I then asked if the $3.00 it took to prepare that meal was worth losing 10 potential customers. He then grabbed the check and removed the price of the meal. We will NEVER be back. He was rude.

We stopped by for one night after visiting family in the area. The Gulf view 2 room suite we stayed at was fabulous and completely renovated. We had a 2 year old with us and the space gave her room to play and later a door to close to the bedroom section. We also ordered dinner in and ate at the 4-top kitchen table in the room. We had the lump crap cakes and crab legs. Our entire meal was excellent. The room had a complete kitchenette with dishes and a small full size refrigerator. Both the living area and the bedroom has a flat screen TV. Across the street is the gulf. They have a toddler playground. Unfortunately it does not have a beach area but a beautiful beach state park is minutes away. We will most likely stay here again because it is clean and has room to spread out.

When we lived in timber pines from 1987 2008 we went there at least once per week great grouper.

FANTASTIC RESTAURANT! Great food with a great staff to accompany it. I nptice several complaints about happy hour, I never had a problem with the times for happy hour (till 6pm). The only people that do must come in right after it. All in all, one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.

We try to have dinner here at least twice a month. Food and service is always very good. Love their crab cakes and broiled frog legs. We really enjoy eating out on their patio.

I stumbled across the Inn on the Gulf one day for dinner with the family and I must say that I am impressed! You are greeted when you walk in the door and have an option of inside dining or a patio facing the Gulf. Not only was the sunset view was amazing, the food was to die for! Good portions, great options, and reasonable prices. The family loved it and so did I, I can't wait to go back!

Had dinner there with friends yesterday 3/17. I had the corned beef and cabbage. The cabbage was actually tough and the corned beef did not taste the best. I also had a $5 off coupon which they did not accept because they said it was a holiday. Since when is st. Patrick day a holiday? but even worse was the noise level in the dining area. You really could not enjoy being there.

They need to work on the Happy Hour times. The time is mainly for older people. The food is very good. But, we did have a cockroach on wall by our table. They also need a drink menu to its self, they had frozon drinks but couldn't find list.

Huge Disappointment! My Mother and I both ordered the "Famous Grouper Sandwich. " Our fish sandwiches were NOT the delicious BATTER dipped, fried, moist grouper that made this Inn famous. Unless you enjoy a hand-BREADED piece of whitefish (usually found in cold northern waters), on an open hamburger bun with a container of cole slaw, the size used for condiments, this is the place to go. When I read "hand-breaded" and "open face" sandwich I should have known this is NOT what we enjoyed and ate years ago. This $9.25 fish sandwich is nothing special. I rated it as "it's okay" only because we were seated in a booth and could view the gulf.

Been going to this place for 30+ years. The food is great and the setting is nice. We try to avoid the busy times and this place does get busy. The Fish and Chips are good and at a reasonable price.
