The worst pro-customer experience in my life… Front desk employees are so mean, cleanining of room is horrible… I gave to room service extra tips but results is zero… If would you like to come to Fort Welton, never ever use this motel! Bettter sleep on the street!

Upon arriving the front desk staff was not warm and welcoming. I cracked a joke and they lighted up. A week later we had to move units. I asked for help to move my stuff to the next unit because I am disabled at the moment. The housekeeping manager (Shayla) showed up friendly at first but quickly proceeded to tell us “this is not my job, I have other things to be doing, I was suppose to be helping a disabled person”. In a “friendly”tone. As if that would disguise her displeasure for having to be there. I tried to explain to her that I was the disabled person and that I called the front desk for help and I had no control over who they sent. She walked off while I was trying to explain to her. Shayla said “I don’t have to be here and walked off”. As I walked past Shayla in the front lobby to get my new key card she had a definitive sneer on her face from our interaction moments before. Two maintenance guys showed up and they were delightful and they helped us move our stuff. Susan the front desk gal is also delightful. Rooms were not the cleanest. I found sand in the cupboards and the floors were dirty. I mopped the floor myself and the rag was black. The room phone smelled horrible like it had been inside of someone’s morning breath mouth. Rusty utensil. I emailed the general manager and he apologized but put blame on both me and his employee. Wow! I’ve seen roaches and ants in my room as well. I do not recommend this place nor will I stay here again.

I stayed here many times over a number of years. I reccomend it as a great place to stay.

Great staff. They accommodate your needs. You can rent a boat next door at a great rate. Perfect stay.

There are a few things that we were not real happy with, however, we were extremely pleased with the staff, their helpfulness, assistance when needed, never had to wait for anything and the whole staff is very pleasant and cheerful! The rooms for the most part are clean and fully stocked with all the amenities you need… and if it didn't have what you needed, all you had to do was ask and it was delivered! I will definitely stay again! Thank you for helping make our mini vaca a relaxing one!

We used to love this place. Never had to pay a deposit until this past weekend. They claim on the website they only charge a deposit for rooms with kitchenette. They lied! they held 230.00 on my card I have screen shots as proof since the manager wanted to argue with my husband. I find this on my card call immediately and the lazy guy behind the counter says oh yeah that's a deposit it'll come off within 24 hours of checking out of the room as long as nothing is damaged ECT. Okay so we check out 24 hours go by still not money. Here we are on Wednesday and deposit still not refunded. Husband calls and talks to the manager and they claimed they released the hold… well not what's showing on my account. Again I have screen shots of these charges and of the deposit requirements. Plus the website says 100.00 deposit NOT 230.00. The manager was no help. Been going her for over 10 years, referred many people but NEVER again will I recommend this place.

We love staying at Marina Bay Resort! It is prime property located on the sound! They have a wonderful outdoor heated pool overlooking the sound and a great very large hot tub in their courtyard. They have a game room. A nice place to stay and not over-prices!

Don’t book a “suite” here. The rooms are joined by a door with just a dead bolt and they don’t allow you to keep the key so the door is either locked or unlocked. If I had known this I would have booked 1 room with my 2 kids or went some where else!

Great place to stay or own time share. Older but clean and staff are beyond friendly and helpful. A+++

Some relatives of mine stayed here. I was a visitor. The facilities looked nice. Great access to the water. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Looks can be deceiving. It’s scary to book a hotel just by reviews, you never know what you will get. But this hotel had good reviews so I went with it. When you drive up to it it doesn’t look that great, but once you get past the front and get into the hotel and courtyard it’s amazing. I absolutely loved it. The employees are so friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and so quaint. It has everything you could want. Most of the rooms face the courtyard and have doors to go out that way. They do an ice cream sundae bar on Mondays which we missed and they cook out on Tuesday which we missed that also. It’s all included in the stay. If we ever go in the area again I will definitely stay there. There is a really good coffee shop in walking distance, I think it’s called Maas and a really wonderful restaurant called burrito del sol. Go to both! All in all this is a great place.

We love Marina Bay! We have been vacationing here for several years. The rates are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. While it is an older place, the rooms are always clean. Perfectly located on the bay near restaurants and grocery stores. Our kids love fishing and catching hermit crabs off the pier!

The room was cozy, the feather pillows were great. The amenities available were, hot tub and pool were wonderful. The Only Exception was the guest next door borderline domestic violence the last night there.

Great place to stay! Within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants and bars in downtown Fort Walton Beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spotless. Pool and hot tub are amazing. Super waterfront view of all the goings on in Santa Rosa Sound.

The location is perfect if you like to walk to local shops and restaurants. They are updating the units but keeping the Amish furniture which gives it that old fashion feel. The staff are great and the property is kept like a home. Great views right on the water. A few minutes from the beach.

Quiet and nice resort. Nothing fancy but clean and close to the beach. There is a heated pool, and a little fishing pier on premise if you want to do some activities without leaving.

My experience was easy and fruitful I was able to get a room for the night with points from my American Express card. The chicken was easy and breezy the room was small but dated but it was still a nice day as I was this there for business. The rule that you can't not bring a guest to your room is foolish and outdated but I can see where they are trying to keep their guest safe because a lot of the rooms are private resort rooms own by the owners.

My wife and I really enjoyed this stay! Nice facilities, good price, right on the bay, and the staff was wonderful. We were enjoying the evening atv the pool and the new GM even stopped by to see if we were enjoying our stay. We’re definitely coming back!

The Resort was great. Only thing I didn't like was my room was beside the staris. The staris are metal and every time someone walked up or down I heard them, every step. So don't get stuck with the room 111. Everything else was nice and we enjoyed.

This is mine and my wifes favorite place to go for a weekend getaway! The staff is always very friendly. The rooms are always clean. The hot tub and pool are always open and inviting year around! And, the price is unbeatable!

Marina Bay is a quaint Resort. It has all the necessities you need in your room. There is a Pool, Hot Tub, Game Room, 50's style Party Room, Volley Ball area, Pavilion cor Barbequing with plenty of grills.

Although older than other options, this hotel is more of a well kept resort from better times gone by. An old school, heated swimming pool and deck with a stunning harbor view, a large hot tub, shuffleboard and a good game room. Patios and plenty of chair's. The room was clean and this is my second stay.

I couldn’t be more honest than to say, I do not impress easily, BUT, I booked this room online, 2 nights before our arrival thinking ‘it mustn’t be great’ seeing as how the cost was so affordable on Easter Day… again, BUT… this place impressed me SOOOO much! It was right beside the area I was looking forward to visiting! We got to Fort Walton hoping to explore, thinking things would be open for tourists, but nothing was. Ms. Pam was kind enough to check us in a little early so we could unpack, unwind, and settle in. She is SUCH a nice lady! Thank you again Ms. Pam! Again, when we opened the room door, we were FLOOOORED at how gorgeous the room, the view, the grounds were and the location for the amount we paid. It is seriously my new ‘spot’! We couldn’t be happier! And trust me, I’d let ya know!

I've stayed at this hotel a few times over my life here in Ft. Walton and it has always been nice. They have a heated pool and jacuzzi as well as a play room with several game tables and a few retro arcade consoles! Its located right on the water looking out over the Sound and you also are smack dab in the middle of downtown! This hotel is perfect for long or short stays and whatever you may need can be procured from the vast selection of stores and restraunts.

A little outdated but I think the new management is going to update the units. Inexpensive, close to the beaches and tourist attractions. The pool and hot tub were well maintained. We had an enjoyable stay.

Horrible experience. Tom at the front desk was rude, condescending and extremely unprofessional. He went as far as to laugh in my face after putting me in a filthy room (complete with a spider and pubic hairs in the bathtub). He made it clear that this single mom and her toddler weren't welcome and tried to dissuade me from staying by saying that the building that I preferred wasn't a good idea because maintenance would be working on the rooms next to mine. I told him that I'd take my chances and never once did I see a maintenance man. The second day of my stay he demanded that I be charged a $200 deposit (why? ). After speaking to his supervisor he begrudgingly waved it but continued with his macho charade. I was also told by different front desk attendant that I would need to be moved to another room because a gentleman was flying in the next day and would be staying for 17 days. It was discrimination at it's worst.

It's on the water, clean, has heated pool, hot tub, fishing pier, shuffle board, sauna, and many more at reasonable rates.

Wonderful for the family. Nice clean rooms nothing fancy but really nice.

Great location five minutes from the beach if that far. Awesome prices on rooms and the rooms are clean.

This experience was nothing but good very clean nice and staff is wonderful security guard on site which made us feel safer will return here every year.

My sister, nephew, and I stayed here for a few days beginning Christmas Day, 2016. Had a wonderful stay!
My dad passed away at age 91 and his memorial service was December 26th in FWB. For many years, dad rented a slip here at Marina Bay and even lived here on his sailboat for a while. Later, he had a cabin cruiser there. Our family has had many happy memories here!
It's just my kind of place! It's not the newest or fanciest by any means, but it's clean and well cared for wi…th a friendly and helpful staff, many of whom have been there for years. All the ones I met remembered my dad, Bob Haas, who used to drop in even after he sold his boat. The switch over to timeshare / or nightly rental seems to be working well for them. Prices are very reasonable. May God prosper you all in the coming year. Hope to see you again soon! PS: there's a great coffee shop about a block away on the right, heading east towards Destin.

My father bought a timeshare 26 years ago. When he passed I was able to take it over and do you have continued to the tradition every year. It's the family time together at the beach :-)

Great location, lovely rooms at a really good deal. Had an issue with the front desk — at check-in they have me the wrong key. Twice. Other than that, no issues.

Marina Bay is always a go to for the wife and I when in FWB! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub are both open year round! Also, do not get me started on the beds, they are the most comfortable matresses that I have ever encountered! If you are in the area be sure to stay here!

It was great. The pool was pretty full when I went. The atmosphere was great. I felt like I was actually on vacation. The location right next to the beach was great.

Nice place, clean, reasonable rates! We stayed in the Stateroom which had a balcony view. No breakfast but that was okay. Family-friendly, nice pool, hot tub, fishing pier, and a game room. Would stay here again…

Its a decent place to stay. To get to the room its more of a hotel style entry. Rooms are somewhat clean and dated. The air conditioning units are a bit noisy. On the plus its on the water there is a private fishing pier and a pool.

The room was nice but kinda cramped in the kitchen area. But for what we paid it was a great buy. Loved the heated pool and hot tub. Staff was very nice. Had a great time.

Wonderful stay! This is a great place for vacations, or any other stay to accommodate your needs. My sister and I stayed here for 5 nights and 6 days. I've been to Fort Walton many times, but I'd have to say this was one of my best stays yet. We definitely plan on staying here again in the future!

Went with the queen room it had the full kitchen witch was nice. Cool staff and laid back atmosphere. The room was super clean and I would recommend it to anyone. It's like 5 minutes from the water and 10 to everything else. I'll be staying here again when we go.

Marina bay is a nice family environment always clean always have activities going on but this time the help at the front desk doing check in and doing the day was not as nice and helpful as the staff usually is rude short and not helpful or friendly. Not pointing out any one in particular but she come about being almost rude but when we check out the lady that checked us out was very sweet and kind just like we are used to not saying that our vacation was ruin but sometimes you just got to let people know we will visit again. Need a coffee bar for mornings with liquid creamers and a better pastry selection. Need to have quarters available for guest needing them. If not the laundry mat should be free.

Cute little hotel and rooms near the marina. Quiet location despite being next to a busy road. Polite staff, nice pool and hot tub. Cozy, clean, updated rooms. I appreciate the little gift bag at check in. The lights outside are a little bright coming through the blinds at night. Sometimes you can hear neighbors through the walls, but its not bad. Would recommend and would book again. :) thanks for a nice stay.

This place was amazing me and my family stayed the whole weekend and really enjoyed ourselves my kids didn't want to leave they enjoyed the game room and the pool the staff are really nice and the beds are really comfortable best place I've been to by far.

Have been coming here for about 10 years at least once a year, sometimes more. I am an owner but lots of family and friends come with me and rent their rooms. We love the beautiful views, the helpful staff and the peaceful atmosphere. I just checked out last Sunday and will be checking back in mid April. Make sure to find out what services are provided if you are a weekly or nightly renter. There are benefits/differences for each. For example if you rent nightly, you get more cleaning services, but it is more expensive. So just decide if you would like to save money and do things yourself, or pay more and have it done for you. :) Go on their website to see everything! One of my favorite things is the view of the bay while you are swimming, hot tubbing, playing volleyball, or grilling out. Thanks Marina Bay for giving us so many great vacations with beautiful memories. See you in a couple of weeks!

This is our first visit here, very friendly staff considering we got here way too early to enter our room. They made us feel welcomed and made suggestions on where and what we could do until our room was ready. They wasted no time in preparing our room… Thank you staff and employees…

Staff unfriendly, room was incredibly damp and smelled strongly of mold. Supposed to stay in admiral suite room 227. Within minutes of walking into room it was obvious the furniture was crammed into the space. Barely any room to maneuver. Supposed to have a pull-out couch bed. There was no where for it to unfold! The king size bed barely fit into the bedroom. Still, wouldn't have been too bad if not for the dampness in the room, especially the bedroom, and the pungent stench of mold in the bedroom. Asked for a refund (no other rooms available) and the front desk staff (who were not smiling or friendly when we checked in, one guy even held up his finger without even making eye contact instead of politely asking us to give him a minute) did so while grumbling that owners had stayed in there for three weeks and didn't say anything about mold. Extremely disappointed.

We stayed here while someone in our party was picking up a sail boat they purchased near by. The rooms were cozy and clean. The balcony view of the water and boats is very pretty and a peaceful sight to see first thing in the morning. The staff were very friendly and personable. They even mailed a prescription I left during our stay to my home for me! :)

I've been coming here with my family for over 30 years now. It is not the fanciest place, but everyone is friendly and the rooms are nice. It is minutes from the beaches at The Boardwalk and also very close to lots of shopping. If you have small children, there is a park with a nice playground within walking distance, as well.

We stayed this past weekend and I didn't want to leave. This place is awesome! The waterfront rooms have a gorgeous view of the Bay. Very clean rooms with ample space for me and my fiance. Very close to any shops, restaurants, and beach! If we ever go back to Fort Walton we will stay here again. Thanks MBR for the great visit.

My BF and I went on a romantic vacation in August 2014. We chose this hotel bc we planned to site-see and spend more time on the beach than in the hotel. Our room was fairly secluded and we were not bothered by others. We did not have a fridge or microwave in the room and having that would have been helpful. The set up was nice and the room was clean. We walked along the docks several times. It was very nice and the sunset was gorgeous. Everything we wanted to do was within 15-20 minutes of this hotel. We visited the armament museum, several beaches, harbor walk village, restaurants, grocery store, movie theater, shopping, etc. The laundry facility came in handy. We spent 5 days there and thanks to TSA we could not fit enough clothing into our suitcases! So using the laundry room was a bonus. We noticed that the hotel had a pool, hot tub and game room but we didn't use them bc we were either in the room enjoying our alone time or we were out at the beach. For our needs this place was great!

Satisfied with my stay at this hotel. Drove in a day early from Atlanta for a family vacation. This place had a good rating online so I decided it was the best bang for my buck according to what I was finding. Checked in Tuesday August 25th… The receptionist was very accommodating and friendly. She provided a map to our room and a map to the boardwalk which is less than 2 miles away. The room is nothing spectacular but when planning a beach stay you are not in the room a ton. The beds were very comfortable. They have a heated pool with a 9ft deep end, hot tub, and a great view of the bay. Only thing that is not convenient is that there is no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom and we were told we had to pay… All in all, it was a nice stay for a night before meeting the family for a vacation!

Pest control knocking on my door within 5 minutes of arriving? Rooms in severely bad condition. I'll explain: There was a horrible musty smell in the room. All of the bed sheets were permanantly damp along with a sticky feeling over everything. TV had horrible smear marks as if someone didn't truly care to clean it right. Bed had hairs in it, so I was skeptical if the sheets were even washed. I had to sleep on top of them with the AC off. Luckily I was tired enough. Room had a lack of furniture, and the furniture it did have was very dated. Having said this, the staff was actually very nice and the grounds were in very nice condition. I thought the swimming pool, courtyard, dock, and pavilion were in very nice condition. Kudos to your landscaping. Cmon guys fix the AC and other room problems and this resort can be 5 star!

Absolutely loved this place! And the price… well, you just can't beat it :) Very clean, the facilities were fantastic, very courteous staff, great location… just all around a great place! I highly recommend it!

Three words describe it all — affordable and family friendly. The inner courts are beautiful — wonderful for someone who has kids and want to keep track of them. The pool and its view at night is awesome. There are rooms that their balcony see across the bay. They have an old style arcade with the usual table type games and shuffle board in the court area. There's a decent place to cook out and picnic. They also have a limited computer room (only two), but there is a printer that's prepped and scanner for taking care of business when needed. The Wi-Fi is good enough to stream some vids and online tunage, but not strong enough for online gaming — as if most can provide that kind of bandwidth. Sorry fellow gamers, your on vacation — please that "no gamer" in your life and unplug a little. The rooms are kept up and are comfortable. The kitchenette is also clean and well placed; oven, sink, microwave, dishes, silverware, and a medium fridge! The perfect setup to save in having to eat out EVERY night; groceries are not a problem — locations all over (not to mention a Papa Murphy's nearby! ). The rooms are setup up in a myriad of ways — you can bring more than just the usual crew (and still have some privacy with your significant other). The staff are good people too. You'll like the decor and location — convenient to go either to the base and beyond or to the shores across the parkway east bound; water parks and of course the clear blue!

The rooms are cute and it's a great place to stay when you want to be close to the beach but not pay $200 a night just to be on the sand. The kitchenettes are very handy, the rooms are always clean, the pool and hot tub are great. It's in walking distance from a few neat little stores. We come and stay here multiple times every summer and will continue to do so.
