We were there for a night. Overall great hotel, friendly staff, nice sized pool, and comfortable bed. The price was definitely worth it. Only disappointment was the TGIF breakfast. Food was slightly cold and a little tough, not worth the 15 dollars.

Room was decent for the price. We stayed in the two bedroom suite. Great location overall. Few flaws during my stay. Room service came into the room at 9:30 without knocking — I was standing right next to the door and they didn't even say anything to me or bother to apologize. My room key didn't work so I went back to the front desk from the 10th floor, I ended up having to go back 3 times between the room and front desk just to get into my room.

First visit to Universal Studios and it won't be my last. Hotel conveniently located across from our destination was a great choice! Extremely clean, lots of amenities like the fridge, room safe, microwave, toaster and dishes. There were 6 of us and we all fit nicely in our suite. Would choose to stay here again!

Okay hotel. Nice pool but it gets very dirty. I stayed in a suite and it was nice but the refrigerator and freezer was old and worn down. There is a TGIF Fridays connected to the building and kids under 11 get a free meal with the purchase of a Adult entree. Overall it was a nice place to stay but I've been to better hotels.

We overheard at front desk a woman complaining she had big roaches. Their staff response was this is Florida there is roaches everywhere. Also, our hotel door to our room has a 1 1/2" gap st the bottom. Basically, anyone with a camera scope could take pictures of you in your room. Their hallways smell funky and it's very hot. However, the rooms are nicely decorated, staff is friendly, and it's clean. Housekeeping wouldn't replace towels, cups, or complimentary coffee. Their GM leaves responses when the GM should focus on quality. Please give me a thumbs up if my review and pictures helped you! Thanks.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn for a 5 night stay recently. It was just ok. The cable kept going in and out the entire time, mostly out. We found ourselves pretty irritated when it was raining and wanting to relax in the room, the cable didn’t work. This really should be upgraded from Dish… the double beds were very small, I could not share it with my 8 yr old comfortably (we are not big people), there was a leak from the ceiling in the lobby, the sink barely drained at all, the water didn’t get very hot, minor details like that are making this review go down. HOWEVER, the Holiday Inn team was AMAZING, our favorite being Tiffany, who was very understanding, prompt to all of our (many) requests and went the “extra mile” to make sure our stay was enjoyable, even gave my 8 and 9 yr old gift bags she brought from home (including bubble, juice box and little kid things), that really put a smile on there face and mine. Thanks so much again Tiffany! Also, housekeeping was really great! All around everyone made our stay very enjoyable! I would stay here again.

We arrived late night so my sister had a totally different experience than I did. When I went to check in they already had someone moving rooms due to a dirty room cussing the front desk out so I was preparing myself for the worse even though the other room was good the shower water pressure did not work on warm or hot but I didn't want to complain because if they could move us I wanted to be next to my family so if they tried to fix it while I was there I have a five month old and just decided to deal with it for a Holiday Inn we put a standard in our heads so the room I stayed in was okay as far as rooms go good space. The other room was great free parking not a bunch of dumb made up fees I have season passes to universal I will probably try this hotel again to get a different experience and update my review.

I love this Holiday Inn Express and would rate it to be amongst the very best I have ever been too. Let me tell you why I have this opinion. Before coming to this Hotel on this Occasion I emailed them and asked if I could have a parcel sent to them, I received a immediate and pleasant response that it would not be a problem as long as my name was on it and they would be happy to hold it for me till I arrive, as it turned out the items I ordered, which I thought would be delivered in one parcel where sent in three lots and each time the wonderful front office staff sent me an email and confirmed they had received a parcel and put it safely away for me, and how they were looking forward to my stay. The front office manager has been an absolute star, with brilliant communications and just made me feel good with what started of being a simple thing being a little more complex.

I had a great experience and stay at this hotel. The Front Office Manager, Karen Greer was exceptional and went out of her way to ensure that my stay and experience was perfect. Although I stayed at this hotel a month ago, I just found Karen Greer's business card, and because I was so impressed with her professionalism, I came to this review page to leave a positive testimonial for Karen Greer and the hotel. I live in Dubai and because of Karen's professionalism as well as the professionalism of the other staff, I informed the person responsible for HR at our company to ensure we use the Holiday Inn Express next time we have a board meeting and need to book a hotel. This Holiday Inn is very close to Universal Studios Orlando. It's a busy location and not too far from International Drive but still far enough from International Drive that you aren't fighting that traffic (International Dr can be a.

Unfortunately no queen size beds (152cm wide) but only about 130 wide therefore for 2 adults and 2 children too scarce. The furnishings have been in the years. Breakfast in the same building in restaurant Friday. I would not eat there a second time for $16 per person. Shuttle service and advice in the hotel by Universal Studio staff was top.

We stayed here for our vacation to Universal. The location was great, the staff were friendly and tentative, clean facility and overall all, a decent establishment. Our two bed room was spacious and properly equipped. Noise from the street was decent, bathroom was clean and no messy caulk jobs or mold, tub drains well. I only wished the beds (double bed) were queen size. Not sure why they didn't have them since the room was big enough to fit. My other wishes (as to all the hotels everywhere you go) were, more hooks in the bathroom and better (quieter) AC. Its close proximity to the park makes this hotel one of the top picks (among other hotels in the same area) for visiting Universal. The free shuttle service also made visiting different parks a lot easier. Not sure if the city is in the process of building a pedestrian cross bridge, the walk to the park was pretty good. We would stay here again.

The amount of space in the 2 bedroom suite made it ideal for our purposes, but I don't know that it would work well for a family traveling together. This was a work trip and we needed the separate sleeping options this room afforded. It was clean and quiet, and the location is good. It could use a major update for the rooms, and the wait for the front desk was always at least 10 minutes. They also never answered the phones when we tried to call for more towels etc.

My husband and I stayed here for the first half of our honeymoon for our visit to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The location is PERFECT. Less than a 3min drive and a 15min walk tops from the park. Service was excellent and the room was beautiful. Everything was clean and the room smelled brand new. The bed was perfect and the pillows and comforter were absolutely incredible! We were even given a complimentary bottle of wine just because! We will always stay here when we are in town! HIGHLY recommend!

Our favorite hotel during our trip. Great The living room where you can eat, with TV and its own YouTube in excellent quality. Gym and swimming pool very durable. Rich and diversified breakfast, with the possibility to make its own waffles or pankakes!

Old-fashioned, humid, dirty and maintenance-free rooms. Carpets are a flea farm, they are worn, dirty and super stained. The elevators are scary, hatched doors and very dim light, only 2 out of 5 worked when we arrived. Stained savannas. The staff is not friendly and does not cater for the guests ' claims. We ordered hot water and they responded that take water from the bathroom tap and calentaramos it in the microwave. If this ubiese was my first Holiday Inn I would never have chosen that chain. The only good thing is its proximity to Universal.

We are 4.2 Agultos and 2 boys aged 12 and 15. We had 2 beds of 1 and half a square we entered incomfortable. They told us it was what they had.
Swimming pool in winter with cold water at 17 pm. I was told that since it had been hot it was not heated but it was unusable.

I recommend everyone I know going to Universal to stay at this hotel. My boyfriend dog and I only stay at the Holiday Inn across from Universal when using our annual passes for the park. Not only is the location (0.9 miles from the park) super convenient but the staff makes the stay even better. They truly go out of their way to make our stay so comfortable. This hotel is also newly renovated and the prices are always affordable.

Waited 20-30 minutes for bell boy at the bell desk just to get our luggage back. Imagine if you had a flight to catch and you incur additional expense because the hotel has a lack of bell boys. Room was in need of updating. Door didn't close properly without a good push. Carpet was wet outside the fridge/bathroom. Clearly an ants nest in the room somewhere because I saw probably half a dozen ants in the bathroom. I raised my grievances directly with the hotel. The manager David Hall responded. "Thank you,   This is very helpful. Please rest assured these matters will be checked into. " I've had no correspondence since. I would expect some level of recompense given our horrible stay. Avoid and stay at the comfort inn instead.

Awesome place. Amazing breakfast, kind staff, and a massive amount of rooms. There is a pool as well, and it's nice. However, I am giving 4 stars because the maid put the shower curtain outside the shower, and it flooded, as well as my school group had 4 to a room, while there were only two beds. Overall phenomenal, definite recommendation!

Some of the hallways had a weird smell but beds were comfortable, coffee was good, the staff was amazingly helpful about Universal stuff, and I'm the location is great. Literally right across the street from Universal. If you are heading to the park I would suggest grabbing a rental car and driving there yourself since you're so close — especially if you have early park admission! Budget rent a car gave us coupons for Prime parking for the price of standard (much closer). THIS IS NOT ADVERTISED, but the hotel has a Universal ticket office inside just like the resorts at Universal so no standing in line at the will call booth! If I ever return to Universal I definitely will come back to this Holiday Inn.

I hosted my Wedding here as well as my Henna and it was the best decision I made! Caitlin the event coordinator was amazing from day one! She will work with you to insure everything goes well. Mindy the Food coordinator is also amazing and honest! The ball room is perfect size for a large or small wedding, it can be adjusted to fit your party. My wedding held almost 350 people with out feeling stuffy. Definitely worth putting this hotel on your wedding/party planning stop! THANK you staff of holiday in for an amazing wedding weekend for me and my guests!

Shuttles are available for parks but in 15 minutes on foot you raggiongono the Studios.

Very nice hotel. Spacious room with microwave and electric coffee maker. Excellent cleanliness. Very close to Universal Studios with free bus to park and ticket sales. Excellent attention. Spanish speaking people. Free parking. Pool. In one of its corners you will find Fridays where you eat delicious and children under 12 eat free (special letter) If you stay at the hotel and eat/n the adult/s. Would return.

Friendly staff, the rooms have everything you need. However, our room and the shower curtain has a little gemuffelt. The inventory is also a bit older… But usable!

There's a very tasty and affordable pizza outside the hotel door, and I forgot the name, as if there was a $19. About 8 packages, there is a big pizza, two soda and 10 chicken wings. Inside there are garlic wing taste, with soure cream very delicious.

The only interest is to be ready for the parks. Impossible to change a room too bruillante. Defective lock, old bathroom, very narrow beds…

The ideal place to stay for those who want to visit Universal Studio and Isle of adventure. The parks are easily accessible on foot or with a shuttle service offered by the hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-appointed. Good value for money On the ground floor a Friday restaurant offers breakfast, lunch or dinner even with take away service.

Room not very clean. We came to three and we have the right to two breakfasts… look for the error! Saw that we booked via another ' site as the their we had the right to a room above the ventilation machines… for the same took take another hotel. Who also have free bus shuttles to take you to the parks. To flee!

Great service! Complementary shuttle to Universal and a few other parks is very convenient. Otherwise you can just walk down to the park (15-20 min walk). Very clean. Staff at the Friday's next door was not good (lost our shuttle due to a slow waiter). But I guess that's not the hotel's fault. Would stay there again if given the opportunity.

Great location, TGIF was convienient, BUT when I checked in I was told how much the room was for 5 nights, and that I had a 75 dollar down deposit. Okay, fine. I ended being charged an extra 145. The front desk lady did her best to explain why I was charged this much but I still didnt understand. I was told 75. Thats it. So then the next night we went down stairs and asked the front desk lady if they had humidifiers. She answered "we do? " in a rude voice and stared at us like we were stupid. So I said "well can I please have one? " and she replied "what for? " So I was rude back and said "Well cant you tell my nose is stuffed? I cant breathe. " then she walked to the back and was gone for 10 minutes and came back and said she could not give us one because we couldnt be in the room when it was brought in. So for the 5 days we stayed, our room was beyond stuffy and extremely hard to breathe in. That was probably the only problem we had. The pool was wonderful and all the other staff members were very polite.

When they cleaned the room, they took my wife's pajamas with the sheets. I grant that it may have been an accident as the manager said. He said the maid was "in a hurry because she wanted to get off early. " I called several times and he said he would find the pajamas and send them to us. Her grandmother had given them to her before she died. They never sent them. How hard could it be to find pajamas in a laundry room full of sheets and towels?!?! They couldn't care less!

This location is great. The accommodations mediocre. What is egregious is that there is one person on staff — ONE — after 9:00 PM on the weekends! REALLY? For a 600 room hotel? I asked if there was anyone else on staff to the front desk person who was handling a line of about 12 guests. She said "One moment sir, " dismissively and moved on to the next guest. I get it. She's busy. Management is trying to squeeze every last ounce of efficiency out of the staff by keeping labor hours really low, BUT… I think it is horrible that three nights in a row I dialed the front desk and the phone rang for longer than 25 minutes before I hung up. I was locked out and could get no help whatsoever because there was no other staff! Never staying here again.

Good location for the park and service was totally in order.

Restaurant was nicest thing about our stay. Booked two suites and both had dirty dishes left in the dishwasher. No suitcase stands. Sinks located in the bedroom as opposed to the baths but that may be a preference to some. I personally like to wash up immediately after doing my business as to not spread germs if any. Front desk personnel was both patient and accommodating however. Parking was ample but not exactly convenient. Suites 432 and 434 was not clean to my expectations coming from stay at another hotel that shined across the board. If you are used to staying at the Bates Motel, this hotel will surpass your needs. However, if cleanliness and modern accommodations are your thing, then pass. Time for some renovations.

I loved it. We stayed in a king suite with two rooms and bathrooms, and there was loads of room for the 7 of us. And the room was very cost efficient. The only complaint I think I would have is that the rooms are a bit dimly lit, and the bathrooms are kind of narrow. But everything was fantastic otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay.

The location is amazing! It's about a ten minute walk to get to Universal Studios since it's right across the street. The room we had was very spacious although the plugs in the lamps didn't work so we had to unplug the nightstand lamp and clock/radio to be able to charge our phones. The service we recieved is a different story. The night we checked in, the staff seemed decent, however they tried to charge my friend's debit card for a different amount without telling her and then here's the kicker. We finally get situated in our rooms, have dinner and went to bed; at 2:15am, we could hear very loud noises coming from the hallway and when we finally realized what it was, it was a family with a screaming child trying to get in to our room. At first we thought maybe they were having issues with their key for a room near us, but they ended up getting a staff member to even try to get their key to work for our room. At this point, my friend got up and opened the door to let them know that there are people in the room and the staff member was surprised to see this and then walked away with the rude family. The next day, we leave to go to Universal for a bit and when we come back our keys didn't work for the room. My friend went down to the desk to see why and come to find out that we were never checked in to our room and they reset our keys without telling us and tried to give our room to the rude family that night prior!

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for just over a week and had a great time. The staff were all extremely professional and kind. The hotel is within walking distance to Universal's parks and a handful of less expensive dining options. We have absolutely no complaints and will be staying there again on our next Orlando vacation. Thanks so much!

Not thrilled at all. Wi-Fi didn't work the whole time. We were soposted to get a room on the upper floor, nonsmoke room with a king bed. They messed up and we are in a small bed where we can't sleep on the second floor. It's a handicap room. I have surgery tomorrow and wanted to relax in a bath but there is no tub in this room. They said there was nothing else they could do and suggested we go to a different hotel. That's not really that simple trust me I would have been much happier not giving them my money.

Stayed for 4 days while visiting Sea World and Universal studios. Typical Holiday Inn nothing special nice place. Nice front desk they were extremely friendly. Stayed in a suite on the 8th floor with no promblems. Pool is small and can get packed. About a 1 mile walk to universal.

Oh my… this has to be the worst holiday Inn I've ever experienced and I've been to several. The outside appearance was nice but Omg the second floor, as soon as I stepped off the elevator it smelled horrible. The room had the bad oder as well,, the room is so old fashion my kids were scared to take their shoes off in there. I was completely shocked with the appearance of this room and the smell… I had to buy airfreshner and that still wasn't working, and to imagine I have to spend 2 more nights here… ugh I don't think so…

Filled my expectations.

Great personnel. Rooms are comfortable with commodities like coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, and tv. Pool and jacuzzi and 24 hour gym. Good price too. Our place was good and clean. Definitely recommend it.

Friendly staff… other than that… no regular coffe in the room for 3 days on a road… printer was not working… they charge for using internet in the business room… I am an sapphire elite member in IHG… not too happy about the experience… the only reason they have 2 starts is because of their staff… no complaints about them.

We stayed here last year in a 2 bedroom suite. There was 7 of us. Disney experience! We were Sooo Impressed with the Holiday Inn & Suites located across from Universal Studios stay, that we booked again for this year! We are going back to see more Florida attractions (Universal Studios, Kennedy Space Center & Wet-n-wild Park). 9 of us this trip! The Staff was pleasant and very helpful with any of our needs/wants. Grandkids Loved the pool too! Also it was nice to have the kids eat free with a adults eating at TGI Fridays! Love the Breakfast Buffet (know I'm on vacation when eating breakfast every morning Holiday Inn & Suites, See you again Shortly! We Give you 5-***** Mickey & Theresa & Family.

Stayed 4 nights and should have left after the first. Our room was not ready after the check in time. It was relatively clean. Not all amenities were available as listed. Wifi disconnected to the point you could not get any work done. One male desk clerk was quite friendly, but the others were rude, acting as if you were bothering them when you had a question. Despite asking for regular coffee, our room was stocked with decaf. Asked several times for some to be brought to the room and no one ever showed up. The hotel is close to shopping and attractions, but I am sure you could find a better one for a few dollars more or even the same price. Not what I would have expected from a Holiday Inn.

We used to stay here on every visit but a year ago we stayed here. The curtains were torn, it was dirty and not well cared for. They assured me they were upgrading. Don't know what they upgraded because it was still dirty and hair on sheet and dirty pillowcase. Never again. Too bad because hotel has great family sized rooms.

A disaster! They fell on the electrical system! The entire hotel was without light, and no one gave a proper explanation. We said morning back and never went back. He sent us to another hotel and no one helped us or told us formally that we would not go back. When we went to get our belongings no employee helped us and we had to go down four bags, six-story alone for a emergency staircase Little serious, bad experience. Anything recommended!.

Best Place to Stay if you are planning for Universal. 15 Mins Walk. You get Complementary Shuttle too — both Universal and Disney. TGIF — attached to hotel and Opens till 2 AM for most of the days. Budget Service available in Hotels for rental cars. You can Buy your Tickets to Universal and Disney at Hotel's Guest Service. What else you want. For Us it was the best deal.

Central location you can walk up to Universal there is universal transport sea world clean rooms. 200 metres away you will find several restaurants and fast food. Walgreens normal care.

Wow! All I did was call and ask some questions about the hotel and a lady with an accent answered and got snippy. No way I'm staying here.

Report an item missing one day prior to leaving after housekeeping cleaned and they security never could find it. I cannot believe that they stoled a child's stuffed animal, very poor service! I would never stay here again bunch of Thieves.

Terrible service. From the reception to the guests care. On their website they say that they speak many languages and it is not true, only speak English and get upset when you say that you speak Spanish. There is no restaurant in the hotel, only a friday close and the food is not very good especially the breakfast. They offer free transport to the parks and not so, only to the Universal. The location is good but a little far if you want to shop or go to a supermarket. The only good thing is the cleaning of the rooms.

Excellent location for visiting Universal, service of transport to the point Park, very good clean and comfortable rooms, the only drawback is that only has a restaurant TGI Friday annex to the hotel where the food is not very good, especially the breakfast buffet.

VERY POOR HOUSE KEEPING, arrived at the Hotel in the afternoon and left for Universal Studios right away. Upon our return late in the evening we checked the Beds sheets were not changed from, we complained to the Front Desk and they did not fix it until the next day. Later in the week the Towels in the Bathroom were not replaced and again the Bed was not made. Called the Front Desk Manager, Hamid and had them take picture to show to their General Manager. The General Manager, Gary did not even bother to call. Will not ever in our lifetime ever stay in this holiday inn or any other holiday inn any where in the world.

Stayed there twice. Both times booked a standard room, got upgraded for free to a two-bedroom suite with a kitchen. Score! Rooms were clean and quiet, and the front desk girl was very friendly and helpful. Just stay away from the TGIF. It's not really part of the hotel, so I won't lower my score, but still. Avoid.

Barbaro! The attention very good, help you if you want to call a delivery, we advise with respect to the parks… The suites are very large and beautiful. And the location unbeatable.

Other than the advertised "Queen" size beds actually being Full size, our room was vary spacious and clean + the Staff is great. TIP: We tried for a while to control the Air/Heater from the unit, thought it wasn't working until we found the thermostat on the wall.

The room was clean and the pillows were soft. I needed somewhere to sleep and this place was perfect. We were going to Universal studios and this place is a mile away. We asked for an extra bed and they brought it up to our room quikly and without any hassle! Theres free Wi-Fi and The free breakfast was outstanding! Better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed at. Lots of variety and it was fresh. The staff was very curtious and the pool was heated. Will definitely stay there again.

The beds are not too narrow that 2 persons can sleep in it, in our opinion, the we could. We booked a extra bed. The sanitary area is very small. The staff very friendly. For short periods of time OK.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express while vising nearby family and everything about our stay was terrific. The room was very nice and sparkling clean. The beds were comfy, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was great and the price was reasonable. I rarely write reviews, but it is so unusual to not even have a single, small complaint that I felt I had to.

So I can join my previous speakers only. This Hotel you can absolutely recommend it. The hotel room 3 I was able to test thanks to our group — are not renovated in a catastrophic state (probably since the 70s). In addition, it smells really musty. It was almost like being in a moldy basement. The bathrooms were calcified and with verdigris covered. Fortunately, I had to stay there only one night. Sad.
