Staying at the Las Palmeras hotel with my family as they called and offered a promotional rate as long as we sat in their selling presentation for the time share. The location is convenient (right across the Orlando Convention). It is clean and safe. The parking garage is not attached to the hotel so it's a tad inconvenient. The staff is helpful. The pool area has a lot of options for the family with a slide and splash pad. Nice time for a couple nights stay near Disney/Universal area.

Definitely family friendly and upbeat. The premises was clean and always flowing. The staff was kind and quick witted in most cases, some lacked empathy and wholeheartedness while others flattered their quest. Please test the waters on your own. My family enjoyed our visit. Games rooms and activities throughout the entire 4 days.

Fabulous hotel. 5 of us stayed in a suite. Kids stayed on pull out couch in main room, and my husband and I had our own room. There were 2 connecting doors to bathroom for easy access from both rooms. Kitchen had microwave, full size frig and coffee maker. We were able to store leftovers, water, beer, etc which was nice. The pool was very nice. My kids spent a lot of them there and there is also a game room where you can check out games to play. The wings at the bar were incredibly delicious. We ordered them 2 nights in a row. Easy parking in the garage.

This place is wonderful! The hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The room has was amazing. I loved everything about it. I especially liked the dvd kiosk. I'm glad I chose this location. I would definitely return. I certainly recommend it! A great place for a family vacation as well as if you're traveling with adults. There is enough room for everyone!

My stay with Las Palmeras by Hilton was great. The rooms are very clean and elegant. My kids found the pool and activity center very entertaining as well. Overall a great experience. I will definitely be back!

First day at this place: they have already charged $430 in fees for parking and “amenities “ which are two cups of coffee OR two bottles of water, “free” Wi-Fi, local and long distance phone service, all of which would be free at any Days Inn. The staff is surly. I asked for a shower bench, which is listed as available in their guest services book in the room and was told I would have to move to an ADA room to get one. The restaurant downstairs was overpriced and unremarkable. In case you think I am a chronic complainer, I am not. I have simple taste and am usually quite happy with my accommodations. Don’t stay here. Addendum: in the spirit of fairness, I would like to update my post to say that the manager of the hotel has called me and offered to adjust my parking fee and reimburse me for the purchase of a shower bench. I appreciate the eagerness to address my concerns and it speaks well for the attitude of the management.

Fun place for the entire family. Activities for everyone. Spacious accommodations with nice decor. The chairs and couch are not so comfortable for long periods of time. Free DVD rentals from 2 red boxes in the lobby. Everyone was very friendly and efficient.

Cute little resort recently purchased by Hilton Grand Vacations. Stayed in a studio which had about everything we needed but ice… which is only available on floors 2 and 7, so it required an elevator ride every time we needed to fill up our bucket. The food was good although a small selection.

As a gold member, I enjoy Hilton brand hotels. They're clean, inviting and the staff typically go above and beyond to meet accommodations. Las Palmeras is centrally located to shopping, restaurants, the convention center and Sea World. This particular facility gets 4 stars because of the $25 per day "resort fee. " I felt that the nearly $200 per night was sufficient.

Great resort for families! Lots of fun for kids including a huge wrap around pool, splash pad, and water slide open late, too! The bartender outside can make delicious virgin drinks for the kids as well. And the employees that help with the activities are so much fun, especially Kelly, she was a delight to talk with and she showed so much enthusiasm for her work there!

We really enjoyed our service until went to a tour of the facility and the corporate tried to get us to join their owning membership. We enjoyed our tour guide but when we politely said that no was not the time to purchase and that we are paying for a wedding the corporate manager got very rude to us. He asked where we were goin on our honeymoon and said it was a dump compared to what Hilton offered. As a engaged woman, why would someone need to say something like that? We were interested in joining after a few years but now I’m not sure. I’m disappointed in their presentation.

So the room we stayed in was noisy — we heard every elevator sound, every cabinet opening and closing above us, every chair scoot and every step with a hard soled shoe. The bathroom had a nice dent in the wall from where the shower door handle meets the wall. No doorstop. Design oversight. The bathroom to dining area door rubbed at the top and required some force to close. The carpet between the bedroom and the living area had some sharp bits sticking up. We also discovered in regards to their "not a timeshare timeshare" before buying that on top of your maintenance fee for your theoretical property, you have to pay a resort fee and parking which, in Orlando, was around $45 in total PER NIGHT. Which means that even after the initial payment is done with it's not nearly as good a deal as it sounds, because you will have your maintenance fee (thousands per year in some cases), property taxes because you own physical property, and these other fees. Avoid.

Great rooms with modern sinks and granite counters. Bed wasn't as comfortable, but it had lots of down pillows to adjust things to your preference. Nice amenities for solo travelers and families. The staff very friendly, professional and friendly. Clean and secure. We had a great stay!

Most excellent service! Wish I could give 10 stars for an amazing experience! We had a package delivered beforehand and wonderful Stephanie (and her IMPECCABLE customer service! ) made sure we were reunited with it upon our arrival. We opted for the resort experience and didn't need our bedding changed, but Sharon on our floor kept us well stocked in towels and tp! Will definitely recommend!

The upside of this place it's right next door to the outlet mall. It's quiet as well considering how many rooms are on the property. We only stayed there for a timeshare presentation for another property. Downside is parking is terrible because there is NOT enough. If you come back to your room after 9 expect to park all the way by the front office which is a long walk depending on where your room is. This place is made for older people or tourist who barely leave the property or in by a certain time. The grounds are nice and the staff was as well. But on my dime I wouldn't stay here again due to parking. We came to eat and hang out… Not necessarily all Disney related and we came on an adult trip. This place is great for families and seniors.

Location, rooms and service are great. The only complaint is lack of hot water at all times. Even when taking a shower at 10pm there is a lack of hot water. Otherwise wonderful place to stay and very friendly staff. Fairly close to Disney. Overall good stay.

Great property with excellent staff dedicated to making sure your stay is terrific. I have stayed several times and have not been let down. The location makes getting around pretty convenient. I didn't bother with a car either time and just used the trolley service or occasional ride share. Highly suggest checking it out if you are coming to town.

5 star all the way. The location is close to theme parks, lots of activities and restaurants. The rooms are top notch. The staff is very attentive. Love the fact that you can communicate with the front office by text message.

Not a resort. The hotel is simply a hotel. Nothing is within less than 20 minutes walking distance except the conference center. The room entrance light was not wired correctly, thus if one switch was off the other switch didn’t work. The ice machine on the refrigerator didn’t work. Also be careful if you have a refrigerator at home with foot clearance on the bottom, theirs didn’t and you will scrap the skin off the top of your foot. Also make sure when requesting towels to request they place them in a plastic sack and hang them on your door. If you are out to the parks, when you return you’ll find them just laying on the dirty carpet hallway in front of your door. The pool area is also in the shade in the winter time, so if you are looking for sun I would head elsewhere. I might give this hotel 2 stars, but compared with Hiltons first two resorts in Orlando and Hawaii, this is definitely at the bottom for resort type properties. I could easily see them converting this building back to a Hilton hotel, as it is truly not a resort, and tie it in with their other hotel on the other side of the convention center with free unlimited transportation between the two properties and use of amenities. However, since they are two separate companies now I doubt this would ever occur.

Nice room. Very good service. Balcony a bit narrow. Ordered pizza. Delivered quickly. Not enough carts for luggage. Had to make multiple trips to load car. My daughter left early but we were still charged for her car parking ($18). Asked to have the charge to be removed. Later when checking the bill, they had not removed the charge. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Had a somewhat disappointing experience with this hotel. For those who don't know Hilton Grand Vacations Club, is a timeshare resort and is not the same as traditional Hilton Hotels or their other brands. If you're expecting traditional Hilton service and care, you'll want to moderate that expectation and realize this is a different company entirely. The facility is quite nice, though, a number of amenities were out for service during our visit.

The rooms are beautiful, they have excellent attention.

Las Palmeras is a beautiful hotel, though a bit pricey. Make sure to read up on all the hotel fees, tax, etc, so you have an idea about the final cost. This hotel has a perfect location on universal Blvd. The hotel is extremely clean, the pool area is spacious and tons of fun, the bedroom also has lots of space, a balcony, very nice kitchen area, big screen tv, and the bathroom is also spacious with a big tub. Over all I'm extremely pleased with the cleanliness and atmosphere of this hotel. Can't wait to go back!

The suite was nicely decorated with a large balcony. The valet service was very timely which was helpful. It is a smaller club property but it does have a nice pool, bar, restaurant. The only thing missing is the market some of the larger properties have. A trip to Publix is a good idea and is only one mile away.

The suite is very nice, the rooms are very large, and the staff is extremely accommodating. They gave me a room on a higher floor when I requested it. The balcony has an awesome view. I would definitely stay here again. I appreciate having a restaurant on-site and that room service is available.

Stayed here for my honeymoon and absolutely enjoyed it. The customer service is exceptional. My husband accidentally dropped his wedding ring in one of the trash cans in the lobby and housekeeping found it right before they took the trash out. I can't remember the name of the young lady I spoke with but she was so nice! They have wonderful room service and the rooms are awesome. You also get to rent dvds. Highly recommended and will definitely be staying here my next trip to Orlando.

Location is little off from the main street. It is close to the convention center. The service was great and the rooms very clean. I am glad that I chose this location. I think the family will like it here.

Nice hotel. Staff is very nice and they provide prompt service. I had an issue with the sheets on my bed and they took care of everything very quickly. The manager even followed up with me over the phone. Rooms are very nice and clean. Would defintely stay here again.

Loved everything about it. Staff emailed me right away to let me know they found my car keys even before I knew I had lost them. Good place for kids. Would highly recommend.

I have no idea why this resort got such a bad rating. I needed a quiet oasis and it was immaculate, soundproofed so well that I got 6 hours deep sleep in a row which prepared me to attend the convention I was attending in great shape. The staff were classy and the bartender a great guy. We had a shuttle to our venue and I also saw the Sea world bus. What a beautiful room, get a studio, it's great with a balcony. So worth it. Pool is nice also outdoor happy hour music. If you don't want a bunch of drunken guests pick this classy resort.

My parents stayed here when they came down to visit. The kids had a fantastic time in the recreation area. They got to swim, play ping pong, and even some video games. There was also a place to rent movies in the lobby. The rooms were pretty spacious and comfortable. Also, all the staff I interacted with were very courteous and helpful. We really enjoyed our time here.

The place is beautiful, however there are many problems with the rooms, we found water leaks, problem with the refrigerator, a fused lamp, etc. We will definitely not go back to this Hilton Resort unless they remodel it.

This is my first stay here at the Westin. I liked the location. The hotel is nice both inside and out however, I will not return. I wasn't impressed by the customer service. When I went up to my room and attempted to shower there were no bath towels or wash clothes. I requested these items multiple times before house keeping eventually brought them to my room. I spoke with Matt initially when I requested towels and again after I still had not received them. I must say, he is an ass hole with a very nonchalant demeanor. After I received the towels; I noticed that some appeared dirty with brown stains… I'm furious and refuse to stay here ever again!

Stan Serikov's review is right about the manager! Ran into the night manager "Matt" shortly after maintenance/engineering/cleaning noises started at about one o'clock… IN THE MORNING! His response was; "It was scheduled". I asked him what he thought the PRIMARY PURPOSE OF A HOTEL WAS" (sleep) and he had a strange look of satisfaction and stared at me! This is the first hotel I've ever stayed at where my wife and I were up in the early morning at odds with what to do with the meetings/interviews we had planned in Winter Park, now, without any sleep! We promptly checked out early in the morning telling the front desk we wouldn't be there for the second night, fearing more disastrous noise. A refund was mentioned and I replied; "Whatever you want to do but if you have any class, you'll donate the money to a homeless shelter! " The place also has "theme park disease"; ridiculous "resort/hotel fees" they don't tell you about. They also charge for parking even though they have no difficulties like urban location hotels — they're out in the middle of nowhere. Another reviewer said something about the "creepy brown stains on the towels"… We saw it too and brought the towel to the front desk. This is a "real' review — Starwood Hotels & Resorts corporate was contacted with the complaint.

Front desk was very nice and accommodating. Crib in the room was very suitable for my toddler. The room itself was standard but clean and spacious.

Excellent service, they were able to comply with almost every request. The pool area is very nice with a bar. Location is amazing, exactly as far as I want it to be from the restaurants and bars; far enough to be not bothered by it but close enough for a quick drive or cheap taxi ride.

I am typically a frequent Westin Hotel guest. Do to the custom of my business I have the luxury of enjoying my nights away from home at some of the best establishments across the country. I may add that I stay as a guest in hotels at least 300 days of the year. I recently had the worst experience at this particular Westin and would not be able to recommend this place or desire to stay here again. I am typically not one to leave bad ratings but can't seem to hold back discussing my personal concern. As all quality establishments I expected great service and helpful staff upon my arrival. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the quality of service and response to my requests upon check in. Seems the night manager Matt may have been having a bad night because his attitude surely reflected it. I was disappointed that He was very unhelpful to my simple request for possibly having a single bed on a higher floor. As a Starwood guest most Westin Hotels employees appreciate the guests frequent stay by offering exceptional service but he seemed very distraught by my request — in turn shoved the keys to me and replied that if I didn't like the room that he offered that he would gladly cancel my stay and in turn not refund me for my online reservation due to my unsatisfactory experience as a guest. I think customer service reflects on the quality of any hotel.

This hotel was really nice. The rooms were great, VERY COMFORTABLE beds and the food was amazing. The food was definitely the best part of this hotel.

Hotel is over rated. Hardware is not any better than 3-star hotel. Hotel charges $20 parking fee when land is not an issue any all there. Hotel also charges resort fee for $15. So on top of the room fee, you have to pay these so-named crappy fees. This hotel is only close to Convention Center, which corporates don't even consider costs. For normal people like me, it is in a middle of nowhere with plenty of land, yet it charges for both parking and resort. I will not stay there any more.

The hotel is lovely, service is friendly but the Wi-Fi is absolutely horrid and there is no way to upgrade the internet (granted, it *is* free).

Awesome staff very friendly. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, clean and the bed is so comfortable. They offer a complimentary drink at the bar and have free breakfast for the kids. Their fitness center is clean and its a full gym with adequate machines to workout every muscle. They also have a beautiful pool by the bar with a hot tub in a cute private area. Definitely worth every dollar! Oh and they brew their own Starbucks coffee and they also put a coffee machine with Starbucks cups and coffee in your room for whenever you're in the mood to brew!

At Check in they charged me $15 mandatory two drinks at the bar. I dont drink I said. But she said that is hotel policy. In addition they charged $18 to park. So what you see on Priceline, Hotwire or other websites is just to get you in. Great hotel terrible way of doing business.

To those who are here to inquire about the hotel. Don't stay here. Hotel is nice and beautiful, but they will charge you to park, internet, and have no courtesy shuttle to parks or restaurants. Speaking of restaurants the overpriced menu, horrible Chef in charge who apparently is only there for the paycheck. Won a James Beard award and serves gross food half of which is prepared by people who don't speak English and don't know the cuisine being cooked. He's rarely there at night, so if you do have a chance to speak with him he'll try to say what his credentials are and implies that you have no idea of the concept of good food. On top of all that the top seller in the restaurant is pizza. So why isn't the steak, Oh yeah, the pizza isn't that good either.

Clean presentable hotel, valet service very friendly, front desk staff better in am, pm staff needs training. Also only high price breakfast items remove an amenity we're used to. Fitness center very nice. Overall good location.

Hotel was "okay" nothing special. Parking and room service was expensive. Hotel is kinda outta the loop for a vacation. That being said, if your going to a business event convention center across street it could be a good choice if your "job" paying for it. Lol.

My experience at the Westin Hotel Orlando- The Goods: 1. The majority of the staff was friendly and courteous. 2. The appearance of the hotel (at least on the inside) is nice and clean. The wraps it up for the goods. The bads (where do I start. ) : 1. Their chicken caesar salad made my wife and I sick. I woke up at 1:30am, nauseous as hell, almost throwing up on the bed. Somehow made it to the bathroom just in time to puke my brains out for the next 30 minutes. My wife (who is NOT a sympathetic puker by the way) came in after me to puke as well. The best part about this, I paid $44 dollars for those two chicken caesar salads that got flushed down the toilet. Not my idea of losing weight or having a great time on vacation. 2. Internet access: You want internet access? Sure! Just go ahead and pay $15 a day. I''ll pass. 3. Parking Charges: Ridiculous. Self-parking is a whopping $18 a day. Valet is $24. Oh, and I love their sign at their parking lot that reads "not responsible for any stolen property or damage to vehicles". So why am I paying so much in parking fees if I can't even get the peace of mind that my car will be looked after? Big rip-off. 4. No laundry facilities on-site! Yes folks, this 4 Star hotel has NO laundry facilities on site. Oh, but their staff was quick to offer me their expensive dry-cleaning services. Uh, no thanks. 5. Bathroom: Despite leaving a tip, the housekeeper did NOT leave extra toilet paper.

Just got back from the Westin on a long weekend vacay. Although it was a nice hotel, there was nothing spectacular about it. The parking seemed pretty expensive. Either self parking at $18.00/day or valet parking at $25.00/day. The breakfast buffet was good, but I don't think it was $20/per person good. The best thing I can say about the hotel is the bed was INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE! I never wanted to get out of it! Make sure you read the tabs on the amenities in the rooms. Some are not FREE and they will charge you for them. (such as bottled water) The staff seemed friendly, except for some of the bartending staff. They seemed bored and not interested in being there, which made me feel the same.

We got the room at this by hotline. We paid low rate compare to their room charge. Over all good except no free internet access in the room. Cost you $15 for internet is out style. Parking should be free or low rate.

This was our first time staying here, because of the Priceline Name Your Own Price function we rarely get the same place twice when we travel to Orlando. But the spectacular service we received has me ready to forgo Priceline and book directly with Westin from now on. It started with Jessica at the front desk, who was so friendly and accommodating I could write a positive review based on that experience alone. But as our stay progressed it became clear that quality service is just a part of the culture there. The housekeeping and restaurant staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The food at the breakfast buffet was very good. But the thing that stood out to me the most after the very positive check-in at the front desk was the valet at the front door when I came in from my morning run. I had chatted with him a bit when I left but when I came back he walked up to me and gave me a bottle of water. I've stayed all over the country for business and pleasure, this was the first time anyone has ever done that for me. It's a small thing, the water probably cost the hotel $0.25, but I greatly appreciated it. Thanks very much to the staff for a fantastic experience, we will be back.

I stay in a lot of hotels throughout the year and "Roger" the nighttime MOD (so he says) is the rudest front desk clerk I have ever encountered. The hotel is nice but Roger isn't. Also the parking charge and internet fees are crazy for a hotel of this type. I would never stay here again. There are a ton of other choices in Orlando. Most hotels of this type offer free parking, internet and breakfast. This hotel charges for everything mentioned above. The internet is $14.95 PER DEVICE, PER DAY, valet is $20.00 PER DAY and breakfast is a small fortune. Roger's rudeness has nothing to do with any of the hotels crazy fees (so please don't think that's why I'm bitter) it has to do with Roger being rude and nasty to my wife and kids. This hotel is also in the middle of nowhere. It's not within walking distance to anything.
