Review of Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort 4*

They state that, "At Sheraton we are committed to going above and beyond to ensure you have the best stay possible. Our associates are dedicated to delivering the highest standards of service, be that grand gestures or thoughtful small touches. " NOT EVEN CLOSE! This hotel was absolutely disgusting & personnel could care less. We were told they had free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We had to pay $60. Our room was dirty upon arrival. The room was advertised as sleeping 8. Actually it would only sleep 6 adults. Mattress on the sofa bed was disgustingly filthy & uncomfortable. Twin bunk beds are hard as rock. It would have been more comfortable sleeping in a car. Each day we had to call down to have our room cleaned… Of the 13 day stay, the room was partially tended 10 days… as in we received towels. Beds were not made up each day, sheets were NEVER CHANGED! I put a pencil mark in the corner. "BLACK MOLD" in the bathroom surrounding the vent, the ceiling and two walls. We were told they would not and could not take care of it until it was vacant and they had no rooms available. So why did you put us there in the first place? We asked if a sister property was available. Yes but we would have to pay the difference in hotels. WoW The hotel promotes a "Free Shuttle Bus" to and from the parks. The bus is out of Department of Transportation Regulations with exhaust leaking into the cabin causing several of us to get sick. Driver apologized & stated that he had put in a several tickets to get it fixed but the bus company hasn't fixed it after several weeks. That morning we decided to have their buffet breakfast. Personnel were removing food as we were serving ourselves. Scrambled eggs were raw and bacon was under cooked & GREASY! After the "bus" incident, we made a complaint. As I was sharing our experience, the person taking the report suggested that I may have food poisoning instead of an issue with the bus. When I told them could be since I ate there in the morning, he changed opinion. Jacuzzi is more of a chlorine vat than warm water. They have ONE small laundry room with 4 wash machines and 8 dryers which they expect to service three buildings. There is no room for a wheelchair. The ONE highlight was the Valet! Awesomeness and then some! Each and every time we went out, they were quick to offer nice ice cold water and each and everyone time helped me in and out of the vehicle. And when I came out after asking for & not getting help from the front desk, they quickly pulled out their phones to help me find what I had asked for. Give those gentlemen a raise!
