Review of Damai Resort Orlando 4*

Overall I'd give this resort 3.5 stars for it's excellent value, its proximity to Disney, and its spacious layout. We used the resort as an extended stay place while we did our house hunting. The condo/apartment itself is lovely. We did have issues with the service side. Our vacuum broke on the first day and after emailing and calling (hard to get an actual person on the phone) after 3 days of saying hey we're coming that day they sent an email in all caps saying they had already delivered it. It was not delivered until that night after their rude email and my husband had to take it completely apart to get it to work. The lawns were not tended to the three weeks we were there leaving tall grass and weeds which would explain our frequent large black snake sightings. Because of this the kids were basically trapped in the house because we were worried. Given that it is meant to be for longer stays I was surprised that they had no cleaning supplies for counters, bathrooms etc. With two kids under 5 the house gets messy quickly and I found myself at Walmart stocking up on basic cleaning supplies. THe home itself is awesome for large families because it has so many bedrooms and a separate junior master bedroom. It is not however baby/ toddler friendly because there are stairs everywhere! We ended up buying 2 baby gates to keep everyone safe and sAne! Over all though, it is exactly as I stated before excellent value. Would I stay again, probably not but I would recommend for anyone doing a 4-5 night Disney stint. Pro: Comfy beds Flat screens with cable in all bedrooms Great appliances and new furnishings Cons: Hard to reach a human being for service when needed Not baby safe Lawns not tended to, snakes! Not equipped with cleaning supplies A couple of the rooms were missing remotes for lights/ceiling fans so we were unable to use the fans (no pull strings to turn on manually) Thin walls and floors you can hear every step especially if you have loud neighbors.
