Yes a renovation is needed but our stay was overall quite pleasant. The staff were beyond nice and friendly especially Tina. The location was perfect being right across from the beach and in walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The view on the water was breath taking and the breakfast was on point offering a different variety everyday. Truly enjoyed my stay during my birthday week!

I used to love staying here. Not anymore! Stayed last week and was surprised to see how rundown the place has become. It was dirty and in definite need of renovations. The second day in the elevator broke. On top of that my room was right next to the exit door on the second floor. That was also broke. Since breakfast is served from 7-10 am on that floor the door continued to bang shut all day and into the evening since the bar was also located on the second floor. If you didn’t get to the breakfast bar by 8, some days 9, you were out of luck to get breakfast. During our stay we received a notice that the hotel was having inspectors coming in and that they may possibly enter our rooms (with management). Of course that day all employees were on board cleaning and making sure breakfast was available all morning. There was never a manager to speak with since after I and several other guests asked, was always “in a meeting”. The only two good things about this hotel is the location and bar service.

I love it here. The staff is very nice and helpful. Nice location and plenty to do around the place. I will be again.

It was AMAZING from the friendly staff including John at the Tiki Bar to the front Desk Staff, the room was big and clean and had a keurig which was great. A microwave and a fridge. The breakfast was sufficient! Kept me full til lunch. Would definitely stay again.

Had a wonderful stay here! We had an issue because my cousin (who booked the hotel) ‘s flight was cancelled, the staff was very helpful and were able to get things settled for my five year old and I. On that note, being it was just us the whole time, I would like to mention the entire stay I felt completely safe and at home. The pool was warm enough for cooler days and extremely relaxing, it also included towels which saved some room in our luggage. Wasn’t able to use the rooftop bar but judging by the crowd it looked like a good time! It was my sons first beach vacation and he loved every minute of it. It seemed to be a very safe area, right across the street from the beach and within walking distance to many bars and restaurants. I haven’t been here since I was a teenager and I’m very looking forward to rebooking soon!

Susie was a huge help at the front desk and Lisa made sure breakfast was perfect every morning. Great rooftop bar and views and rooms are great.

Great location, nice pool and walking distance to restaurants and bars; friendly staff, rooftop bar serves great drinks and the bartenders, Jon and Jason were AWESOME! We had a room facing the marina with a balcony; rooms are ok and old, but will stay there again. Took trolley, which was free, to John"s Pass, a must see.

Have cleaner rooms without roaches. Also the manager/proclaimed owner could be customer friendly! Not acceptable at all!

Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed everything about it. The desk staff is friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar is amazing and drinks are strong. The hotel is older, but everything in the area is. The room was spacious and we were on the backside with a great view of the boats and canal. The pool felt heated, the hot tub was hot and the beach was easy to access. The hotel even had some chairs and floats you could borrow for the day, which is great for travelers. There is also an electric scooter station right outside the door which is fun and easy to use.

Roaches! My fiancé and I checked in last night for a 3 stay and first thing this morning he had to kill a roach. Luckily I didn’t find it because I would have freaked out.
But the staff is very friendly and we are relatively close to the beach.

We stayed here 4 days and decided to extend our stay! The hotel and staff are amazing, great live music on the weekends, wonderful bartenders. Because of covid the breakfast was limited to fruit, granola bar, muffin and bottle water. There was also coffee as well as tea. There is so much to do on this island within walking distance.
Beach is across the street with eady access. There are 2 different boating, kayak and wave runners, 1 on each side of the hotel. The local are really nice and will point you in the directions of great good and fun. If staying I recommend staying 3 or more nights. We had rooms on both side the marina and pool. If your worried about noise from the pool don't be. Rooms are really quiet. We loved our room, they even give you a cute beach tote.

Nice boutique hotel across the beach, comfortable spacious well appointed room. The only downside from my perspective was the breakfast which did not quite meet my expectations, also the excessive use of plastic accessories in the breakfast room was very disappointing.

Was supposed to be poolside but our room wasn’t ready so we took a room on the marina side, so glad we did! Much better views and private. Love sitting on the private patios at night. Pool and hot tub are clean, all the hotel areas are clean. Comfy beds, awesome free breakfast included. Beach right across the street from the hotel. Prices are great too. Loved it so much, we booked a week over Christmas! Can’t wait! Treasure Island is our favorite beach ever!

Just had a family reunion here and it was wonderful. Our room was right next to cousin's and had sliding glass door that went right out to the pool. We could dry our wet bathing suits on chairs or hang out there. Beach across the street is convenient (although not one of the nicest in the area). They provide large towels to take to beach or pool. Very friendly and accomodating. Keurig coffee and tea refilled every day plus breakfast upstairs in the morning. Really everything you could want. No complaints! All good! I'd go there again in a second. Restaurants and shopping next-door. Very quiet rooms even with kids screaming in the pool.

Really surprised by this hotel from the outside it doesn't look great but wow on the inside it's great. Only problem is the tater tots at breakfast tasted old. Lovely staff can do enough for you.

Recently took our first visit here for a anniversary weekend getaway. Absolutely LOVED it! Room was super convenient with everything you need. Very welcoming with a fun towel in a turtle shape and nice reusable bag. The bed was super comfy and soft! Walked right across the street to the gorgeous beach where there was a mini cafe with drinks and things like that. Just super convenient for your walk. Just a few walks down are nice shops and delicious restaurants. And we also took a short drive to the Florida aquarium! We loved the entire area, this place was just a topping on the cake right in the middle of everything we needed. DEFINITELY going back again SOON! Best part was the roof top bar, the lady working was soooooo sweet. Loved her! && not to mention the great breakfast! cant wait to come back! also we got the bay view and it was gorgeous during sunset!

For the price, this hotel was above and beyond. Decent room, better than average breakfast, balcony in basic rooms. Attention to detail was good, towels folded to look like a turtle, extra fancy toilet paper design. The extras make it feel good. And great location, right across the street from beach access. Also they have waterfront rooms towards the bay/river.

I have been staying here exclusively for work trips for years. Great place to stay at, and is walking distance to almost anything you could want to do. Very friendly staff from beginning to end. Drinks at the bar can be a bit pricey for the selection they have, but not too bad overall given the location. I usually price this for $120 or under a night.

Big clean rooms, complete with mini fridge microwave and lots of extras. Friendly staff. Beach across the street, close to restaurants. Great for families! Definitely a "come back to"

Lots of noisy kids. So many in the pool we didn't want to use. Chlorine would have been used up with that many bodies. Has a view of the ocean, but is across the street and view is obstructed in spots. Room is big and has a nice amount of storage for long stays. Building is outdated and the a/c has to be on lowest temp, highest fan to be close to comfortable in Florida's hot, humid weather. The room was very clean; best feature of the hotel. Balcony overlooked the very busy pool so we didn't sit out there for long. The breakfast was not great. Lots of stale food. Is expensive for what it is. Would not stay again.

I cannot understand who would write a good review of this place. You must be paying people. This is nice on the outside but the rooms are very outdated, dirty and smell. I'd spend more money for a better place any day.

Got everything you could want and right across from the public beach. The rooftop bar is the spot to be and locals came by it almost every evening. 3 out of the 4 bartenders are really good, one seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else. Only other complaint is there were only 10 cars there and they still managed to check someone into the room next to mine after midnight.

Had a wonderful time. The staff was very kind and helpful. Our room was clean and orderly upon arrival and after the daily cleanings.

Love this hotel. It keeps getting better year after year. The pool is meticulously maintained. The hot tub is spotless. It’s a quiet ultra clean hotel right in the middle of treasure island. They have now introduced a free breakfast on their second floor every day from 7AM to 10AM. A great perk with a good selection of hot and cold items. Highly recommend this place. The staff is fantastic too.

Good hotel but poor value for money.

We stayed there last week. Very clean, comfortable bed, free breakfast with pool and hot tub. It was across the street from the beach with and excess park with a view of the Gulf of Mexico. Also the intercoastal is on the other with a small marina. Also a roof top bar which was nice to watch the sunset.

Absolutely loved this hotel it had an Cabana bar on the roof top deck, jacuzzi, and a pool. It was so nice my family and I stayed their for a night. We walked the board walk, walked to dinner everything was within a walking distance. Had a few drinks we will definitely stay again.

This is a very nice and well maintained hotel. The staff was very friendly. This is not upscale or modern but is great place to stay. You are close to the beach and I had a great view of the marina. I will be back forsure.

Met family staying at the hotel. Front desk staff was quick and friendly. The room was spacious, included a mini kitchen with fridge and small freezer. The air conditioning worked really well for it being so hot. I was impressed with the number of cups available for guests in the room, and also that they actually have two chairs and a table in case you're eating in the room.

Very good, good attention. And the best that our pets accept, good location.

Nice hotel. Very comfortable rooms. Okay location they advertise a full breakfast it is NOT. All microwaved food. Should not advertise that it is a full breakfast. Overpriced.

Love this little place. Right across the street from the public beach, great sunsets from the 2nd floor beer and wine Cabana bar. Exercise room, pool and spa, Wi-Fi, and complementary hot buffet breakfast. Many restaurants within walking distance. Also, pet friendly. And you can bring the kids.

Lovely hotel. Bay on one side beach on the other. Free breakfast. Rooms large and well equipped. Swimming pool on site. The beautiful beach is just across the road. Easy walk to John's Pass or, if preferred, a bus ride. Buses run right past hotel and are reasonably priced.

I had to book a room here because my rental was being termite tented. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly, the hotel was very, very clean and the pool and poolside bar were fantastic! This is a great place to stay and there are so many things to do within walking distance. If you are visiting Treasure Island, you can't go wrong here! Go see Leah at the pool bar and tell her Bruce sent you!

Great place stayed 2 nights with family, had a marina view room with 2 double beds kitchenette, and balcony, breakfast included was OK, also has a small pool, but is right opposite the beach, a few nice restaurants nearby and a waffle house right next door. Staff very friendly would definitely stay again.

Subtle touches throughout make it a totally relaxing and unique getaway. Infused water in the lobby, bath & body eucalyptus stress free lotion, shampoo, conditioner, keurig, refrigerator & microwave in the room… free breakfast bar including a waffle maker, eggs, sausage, bagels, cereals, yogurt & more, beautiful pool area w/Jacuzzi, rooftop bar! So glad we found this place!

Nice rooms, patio's, big pool. Great location. Checked in late (after 11), and the lady at the front desk was very nice.

After a fast check in I arrived to a clean room with a balcony leading right out to the marina. The hotel sits directly across from the public beach and has a great pool and hot tub. Thanks breakfast was also fairly decent with a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a biscuit. Parking is free and easy right out front and there are tons of great shops and restaurants in walking distance.

Recently booked this location via Hotwire. Honestly I was a bit disappointed at first with this assignment. However, once we arrived I was impressed with the overall smell, and cleanliness of the hotel (even outside, free of cobwebs, dirt, clean windows, furniture, etc). We had a handicap room, so the shower floor and bathroom floor were one in the same, this led to some staining on the bathroom floor, but it was not "dirty". Bed was comfortable, prices were affordable, location was perfect, staff was friendly and accommodatable, and I would stay here again. The complimentary breakfast, could use a little tweaking, but for the price, I can't complain. HUGE bonus points, for having Bath & Body Works shampoo's & soaps. I hope you survived Irma.

I desperately wanted to rate this place higher because Sandy was outstanding with her service and attentiveness but due to the incident we encountered I just can't. The room was nice, nothing over-the-top but sufficient enough. Located right across the street from the public beach access was convenient and very close in proximity to the better restaurants in town. The issue in which we encountered was something was taken from our room and it was fairly obvious. The item that was missing was something that someone would've had to have gone out of their way to take and we called and alerted the front desk about it but they can only do so much at that point and time. It was not a big item or even a pricy item which is what stinks the most but the principle of the entire matter that something was taken from us is just a turn off.

Upon arrival we checked into room 119. I immediately was swarmed and bitten by fleas. I was informed by the front desk staff it was a pet friendly room and she placed us into another room. In the new room my son found a lighter, an open pack of cigarettes, and a condom wrapper under one of the beds. The next two nights the hallway stunk of cannabis / marijuana. I informed the front desk twice and gave the specific room it was coming from. Nothing was done as it continued until checkout. All side doors were left unlocked throughout the night. The breakfast was the standard continental breakfast and staff was friendly when you could find them. I would not stay again.

A great place to stay. Beach Access right across the street. A boat dock out back. It is very clean and the staff will do anything to make your experience better. Keurig coffee makers in the rooms. Bath and body works soaps and lotions. The beds are very comfortable. Soft but supportive. The pool is clean and well maintained. There is a upper level bar and lounge. If you get this hotel for a good price like I did it will make you vacation so amazing. Even paying peak price is worth the money.

I should do this review back on January 2016 when I had a chance to stay at this excellent motel. My family and I stayed here for about one day, It's not that much experience coz we were heading to Florida just for Disney world, but I felt that they did a great job with us, front desk, staff everybody were so helpful and so nice. I probably might visit you guys this Christmas break.

The hotel is very clean, great hospitality by everyone, love the pool and jacuzzi. No time limit on the pool and jacuzzi! Ocean is across the street easy access. Restaurants within walking distance both ways from Hotel. The marina is beautiful easy to get to from your room. You can even see some cool sea life! Every quiet and peaceful Hotel! I will return for future visit!

The room was nice, and clean. BUT on our last day my fiancé was bathing our son in the shower and he slipped and fell outside of the tub. Thankfully he didn't hit his head on the toilet and thankfully it wasn't my son who fell. Then one of our friends showered right after and he fell also! I spoke to the front desk about this, and she said she would speak to the manager about this and he would contact me, but it's been almost a week now and I have heard nothing. I just feel like that was kind of disrespectful to not even try and get in contact with us. And there was also someone smoking weed near us. It was a very obvious smell throughout the halls. Normally I wouldn't mind, but we had our 2 year old with us and it made me uncomfortable. We had an alright stay until the last day! Thankfully no one was hurt.

Wife and I spent a week here last September for our 5 year anniversary. The staff was outstanding and even upgraded our room to one with a view when they found out we were there for our anniversary. Every day, and every shift, the staff was always smiling and very helpful and friendly. The building was well kept and the rooms were clean and very spacious. The location is great as well. Right across from the beach and several places to eat and drink near by. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to visit again very soon.

Room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Mean old woman at front desk gave my wife and I room with two small beds instead of a king or queen. Mattresses were worn out bad. Should have been thrown out years ago. No microwave. No mini fridge. Casino was too smoked out and slots too tight no one was winning.

I booked this on priceline, listed only as a 2.5 star but it was a great room, recently renovated, very nice, highly recommended.

Went here for a 3 day getaway last Wednesday till Saturday morning and absolutely loved it. It's a tad older of a building but they keep great care of it. Loved the rooftop deck and free coffee/tea/hot cocoa bar. The pool and hot tub was also 24 hours which really had me jumping up and down (literally). They were also sparkling clean and seemed to have been just remodeled. Had interactions with three different front desk personnel who were all wonderful. I loved the details down to the stress relief bath and body works soaps and lotions in the bathrooms to the pool toys provided for the kids and little tote placed on the bed with the hotel name on it. The room was clean and the beds were so comfy! I actually came back home and missed the hotel bed. Location was great and the beach is right across the road. I had the marina view and it was gorgeous. Waffle House is right next door and the hotel offers a cheaper voucher for the meal. Did not find one piece of trash on the grounds, the hedges were trimmed perfectly and the sidewalks edged. I lucked out with this place on Hotwire but will willingly book again directly and plan on it! Love love loved it!

Great service, surprisingly clean rooms for a building of that age. Superb location! Don't underestimate the Waffle House across the parking lot.

Had a few Bigger Issues, however I will still rate this hotel a 5. The way the manager Ms. Carolyn handle the situation was above and beyond exceeding my expectations. She and the housekeeping manager, responded promptly, compassionately nd very professionally. When back in the area will give them abother try, and recommend to others. Jennifer Donaldson.

The staff at Treasure Bay is amazing and extremely accommodating. The hotel itself was nice and very clean. I would highly recommend it to friends and family and would most likely stay here again.

For the price our expectations were exceeted. The staff is very kind and friendly, the rooms are clean, and the beach is only 10 minutes away by foot. The hotel is not directly in front of the beach, but it is pretty close. If you have to choose, choose the marina view. The Waffle House next to the hotel is really tasty for breakfast and you get a discount from the hotel. I recommend this hotel. Enjoy!

It was well over a year ago since I stayed here, hope to again because it was great. It was just me. Yeah. Anywhoo I was planning on visiting Treasure Island Florida after hearing the rave from it from others. I booked this stay for a night. I got a nice king bed room, I believe it was handicapped which at first I thought the roll-in shower was pretty nifty. It was on the first floor and close to the Lobby. I think I might have asked the desk if anyone was handicapped that needed that room more than I did. Everything was decent, quiet nights, best bed ever, oh and did I mentioned that cool shower. Oh and more importantly the genuine nice staff. I loved this area, a great break for an Orlando-er.

Not a 3 1/2 star mayb a 2 star at best. Tub was dirty didnt drain. Location was ok but thats about it I would highly recommend Hotel Zomara they were amazing.

The hotel is great, the staff was really friendly and in really good location. I hope stay there for year I recommend for every one to stay there it's really good hotel. I want this hotel to be the hotel of the year in 2015.

Fantastic hotel rooms are beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond. I left a very old foto from the 50s and Andrew from front desk called me twice, second time I was in the hospital. I could never get down there, he mailed it back to and didnt give up until he knew I had it.! Give Andrew a raise! This is located close to everything to. You dont have to worry about driving nor parking. I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here in November of 2011. The place was affordable and it had a good location. It also says it is pet friendly. I had a bird in a cage and after driving 700 miles was surprised that they would charge me $100 extra dollars for him to stay. Now I have 2 birds. Would they charge me $200? I think they should have made this plain from the beginning and a bird in a cage doesn't cause them any extra work. Other than that the hotel was no frills but clean and I liked it. But 100 dollars for a bird? No one else ever did that.

Make sure to purchase refundable option when booking rooms online with Expedia or Treasure Bay Hotel. Treasure Bay Hotel and Marina and Expedia were notified prior to my reservation date that I could not go due to an unexpected medical emergency. Expedia only offered a small voucher and Treasure Bay Hotel and Marina offered nothing. I will never stay at Treasure Bay Hotel and Marina. Update, a few weeks later I actually got money refunded due to the credit card applying pressure and backing me up. Expedia and Treasure Bay Hotel still offered nothing, it wasn't until I provided documentation to the credit card company that the right thing was done. In the future I plan to stay at major hotel chains.

We had a real great time, very clean good service, great pool and hot tub. Very very nice. We we're here in February of 2014.

Great hotel. We've stayed here twice and had a great experience both times. Staff is always friendly and room is always clean. This is obviously an older building that has been renovated. Rooms are updated and feel new. Hotel is directly across the street from public beach access, just a short walk away. Know that you won't be staying in a resort with 5-star amenities, you'll be getting a great stay at a hotel with just the basics, at a very fair price. If I had to find something that wasn't great, it would be Wi-Fi coverage in the building. All else is well worth a visit. Overall, I highly recommend the Treasure Bay Hotel and Marina.

I put my mom up here when she visited. I loved the hotel so much I stayed in it with her. Great service, great location, and beautiful rooms. I would love it if who ever decorated this hotel could do my house too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The second floor veranda is beautiful, and we had a lot of fun out there at night.
