"What you see is what you get" is an understatement! What this motel lacks in class it makes up for in charm! Very rustic beach vibe. Rooms are clean, cute and recently redone. Full sized refrigerator stocked with bottled water and stove. Public beach access maybe a 5 minute walk behind the motel. Restaurants and bars steps away from the door. Coffee is not in the rooms, but they have a cute coffee bar by the office. Maria was incredibly friendly and Michael was very informative. We are looking forward to next year!

After only staying for 15 minutes we returned to our car to find a large key mark down the side. The room was filthy with thick layers of dust caked on to all of the blinds. The door does not seal properly with obvious problems with the way it was mounted. This makes it easy for bugs to come in as well as water. The staff was by no means kind. There were no smiles with the lists of rules they enforce on threat of additional fees. All "guests" must pay a minimum $20 CASH deposit and is only refunded once the staff has done a walk through. All tenants also receive a 9:30am knock at the door to remind them of check out. I'm not sure what kind of squatters they normally get at this hotel but I have never had to have a reminder of my check out nor have I ever had to pay a cash deposit for a room. I'm sure that the owners will post something nasty as a response to this honest review (as they have done to others) but this is my true account of my experience with this hotel and the staff. PS watch out for the Wi-Fi as they do not seem to be very tech savvy, you are at risk for having others on the network monitoring your traffic. Update: Big surprise they posted a nasty response to our review… but hey a picture is worth 1000 words. Check out the filth of this place for yourself. Looking forward to the day the health department shuts this place down.

This is absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed! The owners are rude and inhospitable. She stared at me, while I sat in my car to charge my phone, and then aggressively and loudly knocked on my door at 20 minutes to 10 am, to "remind me" that check out is at 10. Mind you me and my husband went to bed at 11pm and had only been looking for a place to stay for the night. No loud noises, no extra people — we simply needed a place to stay and this woman made me feel like some "drunk college stendent" after gladly accepting my money. I am disgusted by their behavior and then when I expressed my concerns they made no apology nor any attempt to correct how terribly they treated my husband and I. This boorish man, who claims to be management, instead made excuses. My recommendation is! Do not stay here! It felt unsafe, to me, due to the invasive surveillance and aggressive nature of the hospitality staff. God knows there are much more hospitable locations in this area, winthin a walking distance. Plain and simple they made me feel creeped out and I was scared awake, one of the worst motel experiences ever. If I could give them less than 1 star, I absolutely would. — — — Your response proves exactly what I have just said, you and the rest of your staff are unprofessional and inhospitable. This is most certainly not your niche, you should consider moving along to something more befitting your inability to work with people without frightening them.

Simple and old motel. The owners are nice and it is clean. Low price for the location. Close to the beach. Microwave, fridge, coffe maker in the room. Small rooms but bed is ok. Two chairs outside room. Checkin 1300 Checkout 1000 Deposit 20usd that you get back when leaving.

I am not picky about things being modern or fancy I just want a clean place to sleep that is close to the beach. This place was exactly what I was looking for. It's a half a block from the beach and close to a lot of bars and restaurants. The owner is very friendly and explains the rules to you up front and they are very reasonable expectations.

Great rooms… You don't get bothered… Quiet area… And you literally can walk 5 minutes behind the motel to the beach. I would definitely go back again.

He is very attentive to the property and it shows. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax without all the trash you see at most motels, then Siesta Motel is for you. Horrible! Place is extremely outdated. The woman running the place is extremely nosey and makes people feel very uncomfortable. You are not told until after you pay that you can't have any guests, for any reason. We had 3 kittens and wound up paying about a 60 cash pet deposit. For one night we paid $250 which I was insane! The morning of checkout I will not go back and would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Place was very clean the hotel owners were very personable it was a pleasure to meet them and I will be going back there very soon.

Small rooms, cluttered with furniture, and very dirty. Lied about bed size and wanted to charge us for our infant child and any possible guests. Very rude and unwelcoming. Not worth the money spend the extra 20 and get a hotel.

My girlfriend and I planned for an overnight to Madeira Beach staying at this hotel for a quick getaway. It’s in a great location hence the 2 stars. Upon checking in I signed my prepaid credit card slip and the owner then informed me that there is a $20 deposit which you get back when checking out. I asked deposit for what, I have never in my 52 years had to give a deposit at a hotel. She said she only accepts cash and I will have to go to an ATM. Wow. I ran down the street to a bar that had an ATM. The room was clean and quite unassuming. No phone in the room, not a big deal. After a day at the beach, we got ready fo me dinner. After dinner we decided to head down to the beach and just sit and enjoy each other’s company. We came back to the room, put some music on and sat down on the balcony. We decided to keep the room door open while we sat outside. It was a beautiful night, AC was not running. After an hour or so out of nowhere the owner appeared on the stairs telling us to shut the door because the AC was running, which it wasn’t. My girlfriend got up and shut the door. Then the owner stated that he better not see that door left open. What?! Who talks to people like that, I let him have it verbally quite frankly we were in shock for being talked to like that. I told the owner we would not be coming back, he said he didn’t want us back. We were flabbergasted to say the least. You have to check out by 10am and I rang the buzzer to the office door to check out.

BEWARE! Wow is all I can say and not in a good way. It should be called the Auschwitz Motel! They don't tell you till after you pay and check in that you're not allowed to have any guests not one person from anywhere can step foot in your room. I had food delivered and the woman from the counter noticed someone leaving my door and insisted on searching my room for stowaways! I stayed 3 days and it was a holiday morning I could not cash my check and had to have money wired. 9:45am The owners insisted on me packing up all my belongings and waiting in the street and only after I allow them to hold on to my toolbox as collateral would they allow me to remain in the room until (11 a. M. Which is standard check out anywhere else) and when my money would be available so I could pay them and stay out of the gas chamber! When my money arrived I was told by one owner there was a $15 late fee and told by another owner there was a $35 late fee and the one Saving Grace of this place Mike waived the fee. The rooms are not bad its a pretty clean property but unless you like being treated like a piece of garbage then do not stay here! Do not plan on a nice relaxing bath unless you like black mold in your bubbles.! You have been warned!

The location is good and Wi-Fi was good connection. Rooms was clean except floors were gross like you could see the black on it bc it is white tile. Also bedding sheets were old needed updated. The biggest issue is when you check in, they make you pay 20 dollar deposit, when online says only 15, and then they will only take cash for the deposit. I'm telling this bc they are taking it this way to scam you. They come into the room before you leave. When you take them the key to check out and look the place with a fine tooth even made sure batteries were in the remote! But she said the sheets had oil on them and that wouldn't come out. Oil from when and the fact that it was not from us is my issue. They just do that and find something bc they have no intentions on giving that money back period. 59 dollar room is really 79 so BEWARE!

Lovely place owners are very nice wld stay there again and again.

Nice quaint room. However the a. C. Was not on when we got there and it was 95 in the room. Took 6 hours to cool down. Outside of that the owners were friendly and the hotel is a great location for the price.

Everything about this place was terrible. My grandchild was not even allowed in the room without paying an extra fee. The room was very small and dirty! I would not recommend this motel!

Very cute quaint little place. Great price. Not quite on the water, but a 3 minute walk to the beach. Free coffee in the morning. Fridge, stove, oven, sink, microwave, TV in the room. The shower is tiny, but the bathroom itself has space. Overall, we loved our stay. It's not glamorous, but it was more than good enough for the price.

You could tell the mother and son who owned the place truly tried but I definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Worst place I have ever been. Roaches in the room. The people who own it are awful, would never recommend. Do not waste your money; terrible experience.

Terrible do not stay here nor waste your money here check out at 10:30 and then the little old lady try to change the source on the TV into hdm1 to say that I broke the TV and I'm not going to get my $30 deposit back I just took the remote and put input back to TV and thenshe keep asking me about my life story and then try to give me business advice … and the room was dirty & loud from tge main street and that I have to turn the water on the toilet myself…

I stayed here back in February. I was by myself at the time. I must have drove around for like an hour trying to find a decent place to Stay at a decent price. I didn't have a reservation and they gave me a room anyway. Also, they gave me a discount. They were very friendly, and I felt safe there, which is very important to me. They were not rude at all. They never one time came to my room and never once bothered me as one post stated. They never did that to me. It was very quiet there, with a family atmosphere. It was a family who ran the whole thing. The rooms were very clean. They had an older beachy charm to it. I will be going back there next time I plan on taking a trip back down that way. Awesome location! Awesome management! Thanks guy for giving me a pleasurable experience during my stay.

If you like the smaller mom and pop roadside motels and the old Florida charm they bring this is the place for you. Affordable, clean, and easy public beach access. Stayed here twice and will be back!

This place is a little slice of heaven! Nestled into the heart of Redington Shores, this quiet little motel has it all! The rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. They each have a little kitchen, complete with working oven and stove. The couple that own the motel are really friendly, and do their best to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Added bonus: walk a short block, and you're on the beach! Drive a few short miles south, and you have John's Pass. The rates are reasonable too. All-in-all, if you're needing a quiet place to rest your head for the night, or a beach vacation, don't forget to check this place out!
