Wonderful little mom and pop motel with a homey feel. Nice central location on clearwater beach allows access to everywhere one would want to go in the area. Parking is sufficient.

We stayed here 13 days and awsome experience room 8 staff was nice.

This experience was by far the worst I have ever had. I have recently stayed at this motel a total of 4 times all about a week stay. My husband and I booked a 7 day stay 4 months in advance, keep in mind we are traveling by car for about 24 hours due to living in Michigan. When we arrive, the receptionist says she has our room ready but only for 5 days due to other FAVORITE customers being priority in which they get OUR room. We explain to her we booked months in advance and it is unfair that FAVORITE customers who booked last minute get precedence over us. These FAVORITE customers should have just like us, booked in advance but they did not. The woman working did not try to fix this issue nor apologize for the HUGE inconvenience instead she placed the blame on booking and said they should have called us the day of. I hope the owners realize that their receptionist/ employee is causing them to lose business due to having these FAVORITES. I will never stay at this motel again just because of this experience and how rudely I was treated. AND please be warned that if you decide to stay here, your vacation may be cut short due to last minute FAVORITES wanting to stay.

Just got back after 5 nights of being a guest here. Very clean rooms, with fully equipped kitchen and huge bathroom. The pool area was super clean and well maintained with clear water. The owners and maintenance team went out of their way to make the stay an awesome experience. I will be back.

I arrived at this hotel after a delayed flight at 11PM and upon checking in to the hotel found that I had to go over to another hotel across the street to obtain the keys to check-in. After going across the street I found no one in the hotel office. All that was found was a cell phone number. After calling this number multiple times with no answer we got a text back that said "I'm busy right now what do you want" after 15 minutes of back and forth we were told to pick up the key in a mailbox. We walked back across the street and walked into our room. The beds were crusty, sticky and uncomfortable. There was also a visible brown stain on one of the beds. Additionally, the electrical work was questionable as many of the lights flickered. Furthermore, the air conditioning did not work as expected and the place felt very unsafe with the cardboard and duct tape on a part of the door. After seeing the room we immediately the keys and found somewhere else to stay. Avoid this place at all costs.

A/c didn’t work. Only got compensated for half my stay even though we only stayed for not even 3 hours. Me and my 1 1/2 year old dripped sweat the whole time. Tried to contact staff, didn’t get a response until 11 the next day. Was forced to leave at 3 am to get another hotel and pay another 270$. Don’t rent room We did rent out the last available room which makes me think that’s why it was the worst. Every other review seems great which led me to believe this wasn’t a great choice. My boyfriend walked the premises and also noticed we had the smallest a/c. So I’m sure it was known by the owner that this was an issue. 113$ down the drain just to sweat and have my 18 month old not sleep until 6am. Wish the stay could of went better max motel was beautiful otherwise.

First time guests. Stayed here on recommnedation on a friend. Nice, quiant place and easy walk to beach. Difficult reaching or talking to someone who works at motel. I prepaid for our stay and was told we were paying a higher price for the big room since it was only one left the week we were staying. I was fine with that. Arrived and was put in a smaller room and then moved to another room the next day. Never got the bigger room because of a long time tennant. New guests arrived later that week and got that room. I was told I would see a credit adjustment more than once and I have yet to receive it. I feel I was over charged for a room I never received.

BOOKED A 2 BEDROOM On February 1st 2018 for today 05/24/2018 for 5 nights. Paid the deposit and also called 2 weeks ago to reconfirm. Literally a 1 1/2 hours ago the owner called and said she didn't have our room. Offered us a 1 bedroom at another hotel not even the one we was booked for and gave no explanation of how we didn't have our 2 bedroom we booked 3 months ago. The most unprofessional people I have ever delt with. If u want your room canceled a hour upon arrival then this is the place to stay!

I made a reservation at the Sand Point Resort for three nights, 11-14 March, 2018. The cost was $440. Upon arrival we found the office closed and were directed to a nearby motel, Silver Sands Motel. The motel was old, small, clean and well maintained. That office too, was closed but an envelope on the door of the office contained a key and a room assignment in our name. I cannot really rate a motel that I paid for but did not occupy.

The owner was very nice but not on site. You have to check in across the street at the Silver Sands motel. We booked a King bed with kitchenette. We were "upgraded" to 2 queen beds and the "kitchen" shown in the pictures. (I didn't know they had real kitchenettes until I saw photos in the reviews today. ) The position of the mirrored hutch allows people outside to see directly into the bed-even with the window curtain closed. The door is for a house and you can see through the window at the top. The place was clean, the pool was nice and it's SUPER close to the beach.

Very pleasant, warm experience from 2 weeks stay in Sands Point Motel in September 2017! The place is small but this makes it more welcome and feel like "home away from home". We came with other couple and got two different rooms; in each we have a comfortable and clean beds, kitchenette with all pots and dishes! Owners are very pleasant, working every day to clean rooms, pool and making sure all guest are satisfied. Motel is located very close to the beach, Pier60 and bars/restaurants. All you need for your vacation! Highly recommended!

I stayed here once so far and had a great experience. The owners are so nice and they have literally thought of everything you could possibly need. It's like a home away from home, I will definitely stay here if I'm ever in clearwater again.

I am currently up at 4:21am here at Sands Point motel. My mother and I booked a 4night stay here and after the first night I woke up itching in the middle of the night. So the next morning I had three bite marks. I decided to ignore it as I thought they were mosquito bites. So I am on the 2nd day and I took a nap in the middle of the day and awoke with three more bites two on my face and one on my arm. I am a very paranoid and anxious person so me knowing myself I thought that I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight (only our second night) I politely asked the lady that works here if she could change out bed spread and sheets and very abruptly she asked why and got very insulted and got very rude very quickly and decided to bring another person into the situation, Thease two people and I evaded up getting into a full argument (talk about good service) over changing the bed sheets. That's all I asked I never once implied bed bugs were involved but that was the first thing that came out of both of their mouthes … the argument ended with them telling my mother and I if we didn't want to stay then they'd give us our money back and leave. They were VERY rude and yelling at me (an 18 yr old girl) because I asked them to change the bed sheets. But I am up right now at 4:19am because I just can't seem to go to sleep the instant I start to dose off I wake up itching and now I have another bite on my arm.

Mom and pop owned, great pricing compared to other places in the area. I'd recommend it to anybody that doesn't care about having marble floors or not. Hands down a fantastic bang for the buck!

The hotel seems nice. But my brother in law stayed here while his family was on vacation. We stopped over to visit for a couple of hours and was forced to pay a 25 dollar parking fee because I wasn't permitted to park in the hotel parking lot.

We send a few days there they gave us a few towels and the place was not clean the beds where uncomfortable and on top of that the owners where extremely rude to us I would never recommend this place to anyone please stay away!

I'm local and celebrated my birthday in Clearwater for one night. The room was exactly what I needed. Didn't have the room I wanted but for 10 dollars more I got a cute two queen bed efficiency which turned out better than what I wanted. Clean and had that local apartment feel. Somewhere you could live in on a long vacation. Really close to the beach walk and Shepards. Very nice and I would recommend if someone just wants to kick it casual style without the hotel price tag.

I wasn't too pleased with the place. It's family owned and though it was a little odd two families of the owners were staying in the next room. The owner told us we couldn't warm up any seafood leftovers. I was highly disappointed there. Also, we had to wash our own dishes, no room service. I won't be staying at this location. The lady gave our original room I booked and downgraded us. She said she's running a business. I booked the room in August.

This was a awesome hotel… the owners was great very nice people… the place was very clean… outside was very entertaining… our room had everything we needed plus more… the price was very affordable… This hotel was located right in the middle of all entertainment, walking distance to beach and any shopping to fit your needs… I highly recommend this hotel.

Best place ever! every year I look forward to my vacation here, it is like going home. Stella and Ed are the best and keep all their visitors happy and comfortable. I have met the nicest people here and we all come back every year. It is like having a big family reunion! My room is booked for next year again. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else :)

Awesome is an understatement! All of the rooms in my suite were very clean and always well stocked. Including the kitchen. Beautiful furniture and decor. The owners are extremely nice and friendly. True European hospitality! The poolside is quaint, something I wish I had at home. The rates are beyond reasonable. They made it so wonderful that I never wanted to leave! I have already told several people here in Clearwater Beach, Texas, and Maryland about this place. Walking distance to the beaches and even a nice place that serves decent Greek food. People are either unaware or foolish for not staying in this well-kept motel.

AAA+++ This motel is family owned and operated. Rooms are regularly renovated. They just put a new tiles on the entire balcony. We were their guests a few times already, the rooms as well as the swimming pool, the entire area and neighborhood are very clean, quiet and nice. This year we got the same room as the last time, the kitchen, bathroom and floors got completely renovated. This place is very close to a beautiful beach and all the attractions, but far enough to stay quiet. European owners take care that their guests feel comfortable and get everything they need. They even clean the floors every day. There is no smelly carpeting as you may find at any other places. I highly recommend this motel especially to the people who don't like large and loud motels; they also take care that the place stays free of troubled loud guests. Smoking in the bedrooms and pets are not allowed as well, love it. You will feel like you are visiting your own family there, just like at any small family owned business when owners take work into their own hands and care very much about their good reputation. On top of it all their prices are very affordable.

It was really nice and clean, the owners are really friendly and helpful. Our rooms were always clean, Pool was clean everyone was nice and friendly around us. I would recommend that place to everyone who wants to have a good time for really decent price. Jack.

The owner saw me, and decide in his own little mind that I was going to cause trouble, when I two credit cards, and had made reservations ahead of time. He left me stranded at 10pm at night nowwhere to go. Great customer service (Sarcasm) the pool didint look clean, it smelled like fish everywhere. Nasty, and racist owner. Be careful if you dont fit the owners profile.
