I've given this place 0 stars. Ice machine was down when working it costs money for ice, ridiculous! The pool was also broken, no swimming was available. The staff, I need to go here, rude is an understatement! I booked in and was out before I got the bedbugs! Staff barely speaks English and was just plain rude, the only positive thing about the short stay, I fought to get my money back from the dilapidated hotel and was successful! Never stay here look around there are better hotels/motels to stay!

For an amazing beachside room and direct view of of IRB, AT ONLY $100 BUCKS. Fabulous in book?

Not bad they just need to update their rooms dinosaur TVs needs painting and cleaning but the beds were good and so is the view.

Booked two oceanfront rooms a month in advance. My girlfriend called a week ahead to make sure we had balconies, and the man who answered was extremely rude. Day I arrive, there is only one towel in each room. I go to the desk to ask for ONE extra towel. And I'm told it's IMPOSSIBLE. Really?! 170 a night. The only thing this motel has going for it is the ocean view. Its fantastic. But the entire motel is extremely outdated and the staff is rude as could be. If you can get past that, the view and beach is gorgeous. But I highly suggest staying at any other hotel/motel nearby. Indian Rocks is gorgeous.

Very deceiving from pics on the website. Mold in the shower, bugs crawling on bathroom vanity, vanity and sink were so nasty that I cleaned it before it could be used. I would advise using the stairs verses the elevator. The “so called kitchenette “ was so outdated we chose not to use it. The only good thing me and my husband can say about this place is the view!

Great no — frills little motel RIGHT ON the beach.

We checked in last night the place is a dump my room has multiple broken items closet door off railings. The light as you enter is out. The bath room fan is full of dust and grime. The bath room hair dryer started sparking had to unplug it the. The air conditioner makes a racket The window I went to open after shutting off A/C has a large crack in it the screen onnthe other side is damaged so can't open that one There is wires hanging out of the center of room electrical box were a fan used to be. The toaster did not work well. I just don't believe I rented such a terrible place they don't care about the place or there customers I would advise you to not come here consider this your. Our stay was great. The employees we friendly, the room was clean and right on the beach. Definitely will be back.

This is a dingy beach motel, exactly what I was looking for! The building is old, but it is clean, reasonably priced, and the view is AWESOME! Pay the extra few bucks for the ocean view — it’s wide open and gorgeous. Staff was kind and accommodating.

Hotel is in need of major updating but you are paying for the location, walk right out onto a beautiful beach. Also, views of dolphins from the balcony of the seaside room.

It's the right price for an ocean view balcony room. The room was clean just outdated. 10X the view for half the price of the holiday inm.

I read both bad and good reviews. Our stay has been fine although we are only staying one night. I couldn't see staying here for a week. I'm not hard to please, the only thing I can see that I agree with is the furniture and rooms are really outdated. It's quiet, great view on beach side, cheap. The front desk staff was really nice and let me check in 2 hours early. From what I gather, the owners of this place are just letting it go while getting by and possible hoping for an investor to buy the place out and renovate. The location and view is prime. Building just needs complete renovation and it could easily charge $200-300/night.

The motel is great. The patio must have a light. Have to change their keys to a card to access you to go to the room. The rest is fine.

Very dirty, sheets not changed, no ice, smelled pot, definitely not for children. This was the only place left with vacancy that's why we stayed there. Never again. Didn't feel safe in elevator, the floor was soft.

The best place to stay for the money. Had awesome views gulf side, beach front balcony. They have a swimming pool too. The rooms have AC, mini fridge, microwave and sink. Also have a safe for very small extra fee. This place easily could charge more but don't. Very reasonable for the amenities that you get. Almost didnt stay here cause of a few bad reviews. So glad I didnt listen to them!

This hotel is well past its prime. We stayed here in April and were glad to come across it, as it was reasonably priced for the area, and most other hotels were full or were weekly rentals. We had a third story room with a balcony looking over the Gulf. View and location were spectacular. Beach is fabulous. Our experience with the management was fine. The bed was comfortable and linens were clean. However: decor outdated, funky electrical abnormalities, dubious cleanliness, many rules posted, scary elevator (although it worked fine). Many repairs, both small and large, are needed.

I am giving it one star because of location. Beach and pool are great but inside is completely run down, very dirty and lots of mold. Shower heads are like outdoor spickets. Check out is 10:00 too early. Long list of rules with big fines. Much better places on that road for lower price that are better.

We loved this place, The ocean view, the quiet floors. The rooms are a bit dated but they are awesome, like a mini apartment, we had a kitchenette in the corner with 2 burner stove top, a sink, a small fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. They even had dishes in the cabinets to cook with and eat on. The beds were bouncy and the sheets and blankets were freshly cleaned. Spacious balcony with chairs and a table to the most beautiful view of the gulf and the sunset… Amazing! Lots of local places up and down the road within walking distance. I would totally recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a private getaway adventure.

This place was horrible. It smelled moldy and everything was outdated. Customer service sucked! My neighbors were complaining of bedbugs. Honestly I didn't get bit by anything. I will never come back to this place. The elevator was so gross, and there was no ventilation. This was like staying in a motel on Nebraska Avenue in Tampa Florida.

Bare bones motel. Room is ancient with tube TV and no phone. But you can get a room on the beach for under $140 which is great fir such a beach. We don't come here often, but when we do, we like it.

Good price and the hotel wasn't bad… pool was clean and the beach was beautiful. Not your 5 star hotel, but good for a night.

Gulf Towers Motel was right on the beach. It was reasonably priced for the area. It has older fixtures and decor, but was very clean and comfortable. There was a nice pool. The patio had grills (although somewhat old) to cookout on.

DO NOT GO HERE, the view is awesome, but there are plenty of other places that have the same view. Rooms are moldy and unclean, outdated also, but that never bothers me. The AC went out and I called them and the response I got was OH WELL and hung up on me. Do not recommend this place at all.

Don't ever stay here! I stayed here for less then 24 hours and was mortified. I found bugs in the bathroom that appeared to look like ants. The only appeal is beach but it is rocky and the water is cold. The management is very rude and the elevator is disgusting (I took the stairs every time). The room smells terrible and reeks of cat urine. If your looking for a dump this is your place, don't ever stay here.

Service horrible … stayed one night was charged for 2 nights… called for 3 days to discuss charges got hung up on, had to go in person to be rudely treated called a liar … wow customer service? While I was there someone asked to check in early and they were rudely greeted by the same hotel check-in agent who told them no very rudely not to come back until 2 o'clock could've been greeted with a happy smile and said I'm sorry we don't allow check ends until 2 PM just very very rude agent was very upset with me because he did not understand my language English he called manager John who was very helpful and after 20 minutes of being called a liar John resolved the problem and refunded the extra charge for a second night that we did not stay John's great but he even looks like he didn't want to be there I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Customer service is non-existant. Wi-Fi and cable are shut off promptly at 1:00am so don't plan on late night cuddles with TV or Netflix with your spouse. Owner is very rude when issues are calmly and appropriately brought to his attention. Paid for a week here, would have been happier at a days inn or motel 5.

This place has a very unprofessional guy working on the weekends. He is very rude to the customers. We were also made to wait over two hours to get a room key. They ended up giving me a master key just so I could have a room key. I discovered mold in the coffee maker basket and when I turned on the heat it set off the smoke detector. I will never stay here or recommend it to anyone.

Great ocean view for fair money. Not a new room but very clean and nice.

My experience with this hotel was awful! I had a reservation and called back after reading the reviews on here. When I called I spoke to a gentleman by the name of Johnny who indicated they took over motel 3 months ago. I explained my concerns with what I read on here and that This was an important weekend for my sister 40th bday and I wanted to make sure there was not going to be an issue with us having guest. He explained no guest allowed unless we pay $10 per guest. I said well ok if that is what I have to do to ensure no problems happen. Then I called back yesterday to confirm my reservation and spoke to a Mr. Shah who was very rude on the phone, He said yes yes your room is fine why you worry? I said no worries Im just confirming what I booked. Then today I called back to verify the total cost because I never got my email conformation. Mr. Shah answered again and went off on me yelling and telling me to stop calling. I said to him why are you yelling at me and how dare you speak to me like that I am the customer and if I called 50 times to ask questions you should have no problem answering them. I then ask to speak to the manager and he hung up. I have now canceled the reservation. Take head to the warnings on these reviews this place is BAD! beware!

The only good thing about this hotel was it in on the beach. The place is real old and the furniture in the rooms were even older. We have a truck So was hard to get into the parking lot. There was no hot water by night time. The Wi-Fi was terrible. I couldn't ever connect to it. I would never return and would never tell anybody to go there.

Nothing terrible guest have to pay for parking I came here three weeks and no problem now it's a Hassel jst cause its fourth of July he followed me around like I was a criminal after I paid for his stupid parking pass then I came to seat wit my family nd kids and he came up to me for the third time if anyone has kids and thinks bout coming her dont it's a bad experience for the kids because more and likely u would get in altercation nd that's not good for the lil ones the rooms if there dirty u have to pay jst in all the place is a piece of sh*t.

The hotel was very old but clean. The Wi-Fi was horrible if you're going to be on it a lot don't go here. The staff was ok, the maids were the most helpful. Very good views of the Gulf, and very easy to walk to the beach. Walking distance to many great restaurants and across form CVS. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a Dissent place to stay.

Good experience over all. Yes, it's an older hotel that could use some updating. I read the reviews before I arrived and it was just what I expected. My room was very dated but super clean. I had an amazing view off my private balcony. I slept with the door open every night. I am a single female that stayed alone and I always felt very safe. I didn't come for the luxury accommodations. I came for some quiet and much needed "me time" (single mom 5 teenagers) away and that's exactly what I got. And for what I paid it was more then worth it. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. But I had no guests and I don't smoke. Location is perfect CVS is right across the street and Crabby Bills and several another places to eat are within walking distance (loved Crabby Bills and the bartenders) I'm ready to leave, I miss my kids. But, I would definitely come back.

If I could rate this a negative 5 star I would! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! My uncle was staying there and when I went to meet up with him the front desk guy told me NO VISITORS and that I had to wait outside in the parking lot! When my uncle came to get me they charged him $10 for every 2 hours I was there and made it a point to say no visitors a bunch of times. I have never felt so disrespected. Who handles customers like this? you would think they want locals to give good reviews but instead throw them out the door when they are trying to visit family. Especially the local real estate agents (like me! ).

Nice location but you have to pay for every person that comes to see you. No guest allowed at all without payment.

Stayed here a couple of times in the past few years and enjoyed the beach and pool only steps from my room! Loved the balcony for sunsets! Great location for places to eat and pick up beer and snacks for later. I'm looking forward to my next stay. Paying for the closeness to beach and having a pool not anything up scale or fancy. Private and quite. lc.

If you're looking for a simple, inexpensive hotel with a great location this is it. Rooms are clean, bug free, and the bed is comfortable. Sleep with the door to your private patio open for the ocean sounds. Coffee shop and restaurants are in walking distance and the beach is right out the door. We paid $154 a night including taxes. If you enjoy a mom-and-pop type hotel, then you will love it. If you want 24 hour room service and lots of amenities, then look elsewhere.

Worst place ever. I booked a room at this hotel for my grandmother to stay when she came down for my Wedding. I didn't want her staying a crappy motel and the budget didn't allow for a resort so because this was a middle of the line price, we decided it was a nice option. When we checked her in we were greeted with one of the RUDEST and most disrespectful women I've ever encountered. She was demanding, and short which deeply offended me and my southern raised grandmother. She also sprang it to us that the elevator wasn't operating and made no concessions to help my grandmother up to her room. Ridiculous. She almost yelled at us when we asked if there was a continental breakfast. To make matters worse the hotel is an old, run down and boiling hot. The walls are dirty, the carpeting is disgusting and the most helpful people were the janitorial staff, who not only held the door open for us but helped us find the creepy staircase. The only plus about this room is the view. I would NEVER stay here or suggest someone stay here in a million years even if someone pays you. Its a dump, the reception is a joke the location isn't worth it. Not american owned.

Heater set off fire alarm. They are strict about checking out AT 10:00 a. M. So I showed up early. Office was closed. I came back at 10:00. Office was closed. Showed up at 10:30 and they almost charged me an extra day. Ride to airport didn't show up for a couple extra hours so I asked if I could borrow a chair to sit at the beach. Another rep later came up to me told me I had to go, took the chair because if it went missing it hurt her paycheck, and then proceeded to get into an argument with the person who said I could borrow the chair.

If you know what to expect in an older motel, this place is fine. It has been slated to be torn down in the near future so not very many features have been upgraded. We have stayed here for the past 12 years and we enjoy the quiet, friendly, beautiful location and people. The entire motel has been repainted, some new appliances and new carpeting expected in April throughout the motel. The price is much less than any place on the ocean and that's why you change your own linens and vacuum you own unit. Big deal. It takes 10 minutes a day to clean your place and therefore the price is $100's of dollars cheaper than other places.
