Front desk man was extremely rude and condescending. When I was checking in, he lied and said my card can’t be used because it “needs a chip” even though my debit card was already charged in full for the stay prior to my arrival. The room was very outdated. The AC wasn’t working properly. The pillows on the bed were dirty. The bathroom was run down. The vending machine was broken and it stole my dollar. So I had no water for the night and was really thirsty. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and won’t be returning. The only good part of this was the airport shuttle when I was checking out. The airport shuttle man was very nice to me and got me to the airport on time for my flight back home.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! We called ahead of time to give our flight arrivals as we had a late flight. We have waited over an hour for this shuttle and have been told THREE times "they were on their way" and still have no concrete ETA. We called at 9:13 and it's now almost 10pm.

This hotel is disgusting. Upon arrival we had a racially driven experience with the shuttle driver which we reported immediately. Nothing was done to address this. Upon pulling back our sheets we found blood on what should have been a clean room during the time of Covid. We also found a live roach crawling around the room in addition to live spiders in all corners of the room. When this was reported to management I was told that we were receive some sort of compensation ; however They simply had me email them the videos and then never returned any of the fees paid nor made contact with me. After calling for several days I finally was able to speak with the general manager Andre. Andre Was rude and told me that what he would do was get pest control but he would do nothing to address my concerns or comp my room. Stay away! They don't perform COVID protocols clearly and they don't care about the consumer, sanitary accomodations or customer satisfaction!

The rooms are clean. It is close to Jaxson's ice cream, Within walking distance to varies places All the workers are helpful and so very nice.

I stayed for 5 days and on my last days I was robbed for all my souvenirs that I purchased. And the general manager was not concerned and it’s been days and he hasn’t tried to call me. I will Never use holiday inns anywhere. Lies and thieves.

Dirty room… bed bugs! Everything looked okay, for the price. But as my grandmother used to say, “the cheapest can be the dearest. ” And that was my experience. The staff was pleasant at check in for my one night stay. I woke up with straight line bites on both shoulders and arms, hips and thighs. It was clear I had been the victim of bed bugs. I immediately took a shower discarded my pajamas, found cleaning staff and bagged my other belongings. Thankfully, they weren’t on the bed. I checked out and discreetly told the attendant about my experience, she was unapologetic and nonchalant. After questioning her about next steps She instructed me to see my doctor. So I’ve done that. The doctor concurs it appears to be bed bug bites as evidenced by the number of bites the straight line of the rash like bites and wrote a prescription for treatment. The General manager was dismissive and defensive when I called back so now I’m warning everyone reading — my experience included bed bugs. To be fair, he SAYS he had the room professionally inspected and there was nothing found. I know this can happen anywhere, but it happened here to me.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are spotless, Very reasonably priced.

The hotel was great. I only have a huge complaint. I had booked this room as a one night stay before departing on a cruise the next morning. When I originally booked the price was around 225.00. Then one night I was looking around on the internet and noticed the price had dropped to 198.00 so of course I called and asked about changing my rate. They did which made it a little cheaper. Upon check in I overheard another front desk rep telling someone the rate was 169.00 over the phone. What? I asked about getting that rate. And the answer was no my rate was locked in. Really? I’m standing here paying for it now. It just looks like to me that Holiday Inn Express should honor that especially for loyalty customers. That doesn’t make me happy. That’s the first time I have ever stayed anywhere that I didn’t get the rate for that day.

Unbelievably bad experience… Got home from long day to find my A/C not working so as an IHG member decided to just go to the closet Holiday Inn… Called hotel directly to book something and after waiting on hold, Ibwas transferred to Central Reservations where I booked non-refundable room. I advised them I would be there in a few minutes. Fifteen minutes later I tried to check in and was told I would need to wait becauae the reaervation hadn't come through yet, even though I had the confirmation on my phone. I asked if the front desk agent if he could just check us in as a walk in and he said sure but that we would be double charged. Seriously?

Clean. Friendly service. Their shuttle driver took us to a sister location to have dinner, then picked us up when we called them. Easy shuttle to the airport the next morning. Great free breakfast.

The only reason I book with hotels instead of Airbnb is because they offer shuttles to the airport. I reserved a shuttle for a specific time and they told me that would be good. Now I am here in the lobby waiting on the late shuttle driver for 30 minutes past the agreed shuttle time. The manager doesn’t care at all. He casually says “the driver is late” This also was my experience at the holiday inn in San Jose California. Also the windows don’t open in the rooms and there is no fresh air available. Other than that the room was okay. Nice beds and clean. The staff is friendly. Just don’t expect your shuttle to be reliable.

Extremely convenient location for airport drop-off or pickup. Three-story parking garage, I was able to find a spot even at 11 PM. The front desk attendant was very efficient. Room was comfortable, shower was hot, several choices on the included continental breakfast.

Nice hotel, average area. Toilet got stuck and they refused to unclog it after maintenance left for the day at 7pm and they refused to switch rooms. Breakfast was pretty good, with fresh cinnamon rolls. Besides the lack of customer service, hotel looked good.

I don't know where to start. But let me mention what stood out the most. There was an African American guy named Mike that works the front desk I was greeted by him with chinky red eyes. He laughed at everything I said and then told me he was "stoned" which means he was high on marijuana. When he gave me my room keys he said "if you need any good smoke let me know I get the best trees" I was completely shocked to hear him speak so freely about marijuana since it is illegal. I told him no thank you. He also told me he smokes weed upstairs in a secret location which he offered to share with me however I declined. My room was not clean when I walked into it. Bed was not made, no towels in my bathroom. I complained to the GM Zach and he was real rude and nasty to me. I am going to write the Better Business Bureau next. And will leave this review on other travel sites as well because I spoke to other guests and they told me about how rude that Zach guy is too. I will never stay there again. .

Great, flexible, very nice room, cozy bed, helpful, have taken very good care of us, only breakfast could be a bit more extensive.

I was in town for a wedding and stayed here with my sister. The accommodations were nice. Shower area is glass, which I was impressed by. I much prefer it. They also have complimentary breakfast with your stay. The area you're in has a great deal of reasurants and is not far from shopping plaza's as well.

I had missed my flight home, the past few hours had been chaos, Mike was at the desk when I finally arrived at this hotel. Mike was fantastic. He could see I was frazzled. He checked me in quickly, gave me some tea, and helped me find some good pizza to be delivered. The hotel itself was very nice and clean. Super comfortable beds and pillows. All helped erase the past few hours of hell. All staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this location!

Rude breakfast staff first day. Threatened to escort me out over a very rude staff member because I warned other people to not touch the breakfast bar until 6 am because I had already been accosted over taking a cinnamon roll off the bar. Two cars broken into while I was there. Parking garage extremely limits vehicles that can park there. (8 ft max). Curtains don't close fully, had to fight them to close so I could sleep.

Excellent for rest; Far from the noise, very gentle; Something expensive. If you want to go to the beach you are removed from the hotel.

Copied from my Facebook post: **Long post alert** So, I’m sleeping soundly at the Holiday Inn Express in Ft Lauderdale and it’s 1:00 AM. I was woken up by my phone ringing a few times but never even considered answering it. As I was drifting back off to sleep, somebody starts pounding on my door but didn’t say anything. WTF? Is it some drunk trying to get into the wrong room? Then the perpetrator actually tries to open the door and is stopped only by the safety latch. At thi…s point, some guy starts yelling, “What’s your name? This room is supposed to be vacant! ” Now I’m up and yelling back at the perpetrator at my door. Who are you? What do you want? “Tell me your name! ” “No! What do you want? ” At this point, the whole 6th floor must be awake. The guy finally tells me that it’s the front desk. I finally caved and told him my last name and he left. I immediately called the front desk to confirm but there was no answer. Now I’m getting worried and I’m starting to go through these Department of Defense security videos in my head. I had noted earlier that the hotel swimming pool was just below my window. I called the front desk again and some guy answered. I asked him if he was the same guy who was just banging on my door. He said yes and explained that there was some mistake in the room registration. I told him that’s not the way to deal with it at 1:00 AM and he sort of apologized.

Close to airport, fairly clean. Front desk service was sitting in lobby on his cell phone (not talking) and yelled across lobby. (Last name? ) As he reluctantly got up and came to check me in. Charged extra for king, even though I'd prepaid for a king. I told him what time I'd need a shuttle, and there was no record of my request next morning. Bus driver seemed as if I was making him get up and drive. Facilities were nice. Service could be greatly improved.

A nice cozy hotel for a quick stay, the room are comfy enough and a complementary breakfast can't go wrong. Very nice staff at the front desk, always smiling. Although I passed by the breakfast area before I left after breakfast was done just to ask for a glass of water. The lady who was cleaning just said no English. Like seriously who doesn't know the word "Water". Anyway otherwise all is nice the shuttle bus is always on time.

Stayed here for a week. Room was cleaned most, but not all, days while there. Had a residual odor of cleaner that was very potent and not very pleasant. Seemed very clean overall. Breakfast was par for the chain, filling if a bit bland, but many options including cereal yogurt and hot options. Has a small parking deck built onto the structure with attached elevators which was very nice. Rates skyrocket during the weekend! Overall not a bad place to stay. In the room it had a medium sized fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.

It was great the treatment of the workers was excellent I do not give more than five PQ can not good cleanliness and good treatment all the staff I recommend.

Nothing wrong with it. Close to airport. Rooms are very dark if you need to sleep during the day (which we did). Breakfast acceptable.

Great new hotel. Very friendly staff. Mathew really makes you feel at home. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place near the airport and the Port.

Stayed first night and I thought it was a very nice room (4 adults and one child) very nice size. Our plane was cancelled because of weather, called front desk and they was once again super nice. I will be back and definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here on a layover. The hotel was very conveniently located, the shuttle came quickly and the driver was nice and helpful. Check in was easy, the lobby was clean and attractive. Our room was clean, comfortable and equipped with lots of nice amenities (keurig, bath and body toiletries). My my complaint was that the dinner delivery recommendation wasn't great and when we requested a crib we were brought a twin sized roll away Breakfast was a really wide selection and the shuttle driver was reliable and helpful.

There was No good sign of Wi-Fi on the high floors. Friendly staff.

This place is very clean and management is great. It has everything you would want in a hotel except Wi-Fi. Internet was patchy and sporadic at best.

The room was nice. I left my phone charger in the room when I checked out and the cleaning staff did not turn it in to the front desk. When I called the front desk was very unprofessional.

Pool area and room were very nice. Breakfast was less than impressive. They did have a nice variety of pastries & fruit, but the only eggs were omelets that looked like they were from the freezer section & thawed out. The sausage gravy tasted ok, but didn't even have a utensil to scoop it out. At 610 a. M. They were out of orange juice & I couldn't find any butter anywhere.

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT I booked this hotel for the weekend due to Hurricane Irma for Saturday & Sunday. We lost power all day Sunday. I asked management if there is any way they can discount my stay of the $300.00 I paid. Remind you Sunday, Monday morning we weren't served breakfast, had No Wi-Fi, TV & couldn't leave the room because the elevators were out and the stairs were too slippery. Spoke to management and his unprofessionalism was amazing. His response was "NOPE NO REFUND" I reminded him that I'm not asking for a full refund just a courtesy off and his response again was "NOPE NO COURTESY OR REFUND". No compassion, professionalism, respect for thier customers who hard working money actually makes thier payroll. Worst stay of my life!

I stayed at Holiday Inn Express after been stocked at FLl Airport, Florida after returning from The Bahamas. My family drove back home, but I purchased a ticket flight because I was in cronic pain. I missed the flight due to all the changes and caos of Hurricane Irma. I got at the hotel late at night after a horrible day at the airport. I was in a lot of pain and needed to take a strong pain medication in order to cope with the unbearable pain. The following morning I got late to the breakfast and Sabrina with so much kindness told me not to worry! She offered that I could take what I needed and also gave me a bag with a bottle of water, a banana and a yogurt! I felt so blessed because for me that meant a lot after everything I went through the night before. Sabrina made my day with her kindness! I also wanted to say thank you to Nathan, the general manager who extended my stay for a couple of hours. The location is very convenient since it's only three miles from the airport. I will definitely return to Holiday Inn Express if I ever have to flight from FFL Airport or visit Fort Lauderdale.

We just stayed at this Holiday Inn Express during Hurricane Irma. Nathan, the general manager, was an exceptional leader of his team of very polite, capable and productive staff at this hotel. It was a stressful couple of days and his staff helped ease that stress. Even when protocol was followed to shut down the elevators for safety, his staff would still help you carry your things up and down the stairwells. I could go on and on but I must say this was the highest representation that any brand could hope for during a situation like this and I must tip my hat to Nathan and all of the managers and staff at this particular Holiday Inn Express.

Clean, fairly modern, nice pool in a small area. Girl on the front desk was a bit blase, tried explaining that the Wi-Fi was not working but could'nt get through.

Not bad at all. Very close to airport. Great room. A pool on 4th floor, keurig coffee, good breakfast, they store your bags if your flight is at night.

Important information for travelers: This hotel offers 24/7 FREE airport shuttle. This is compared to many other that limit the hours. Stayed pre-cruise and post-cruise. Service was poor when we first arrived at 0200. We had 2 rooms booked and the gentleman gave us our room keys. One worked great, the other opened an ALREADY OCCUPIED room. Super embarrassing for us and I'm sure at 0200 scary and angering to the people already in the room. Upon returning to the front desk, the employee proceeded to tell me that the room shouldn't be occupied. *blank stare by me* Well it is occupied. So he proceeds to call the room (did I mention it's the middle of he night? ) and ask the occupant for their name and info. He continues to mumble about how that's not possible etc. Etc. By this point I asked him to just get us a room so we could sleep and let him sort through the details of the mix up later. He did apologize, but no other attempt to compensate or make-up for the problems. The return stay was much better. We were able to get an early check in on one room at 1100 which made life much better. We relaxed in the rooftop pool while we waited for the other room to be turned over. Kim (? I think) was excellent at the front desk and had great suggestions for us. She even got us set up with plates and cutlery so we could eat our pizza we had delivered. She really went out of her way to help us. Kudos to her.

Good experience. We were picked up from the airport for free. It was quick and prompt. It is super close to Port Everglades, which was nice for our Uber to the port (It was about $17 for an XL).

We stayed here on 9/17 and 9/25. The first night was great, no complaints. Friendly staff, great breakfast. We returned from our cruise on 9/25 and checked back into the hotel. Staff still wonderful. We returned to the room that night and it had a really bad odor. It smelled like a combination of mildew and cat urine. We called to the desk around midnight and requested another room and was told the hotel was full. There was no apology or anything. The young man working the desk that night brought us up a can of Febreeze and a can of Lysol. Had we been in the room earlier that day we may have notice it and could have gone to another hotel. Since we had to check out around 6am we stayed and I was awake the entire night. I really like Holiday Inn Express but this stay was really bad. The young man working that night just didn't seem to care.

I had a long layover in FLL Kim was very accommodating for the six hrs after my check out. Wifi was supper fast during the day and slowed a little at night. Jamie the driver was nothing but professional.

While the facilities are much better than you'd expect for their star rating; the gym was a nice touch, I had an awful experience with the hotel shuttle. I cleared customs at 7 and didn't get to the hotel till 9! The driver passed me 3 times and never stopped and I had to call the hotel 10 times just to get collected. The front desk manager Katrina was lovely and offered a cab after I waited so long and gave me a later checkout but the entire experience was quite frustrating. Still I'd stay again of I'm transiting through FLL but I'll definitely take an über this time,

Good basic accommodations for an overnight stay while waiting for or getting off a cruise. Kinda spartan, but if you are just staying the night and don't need "first class" it's fine. Breakfast included was your typical chain hotel food (cereals, muffins, rubber eggs) but plenty of it. Hey they didn't blink when we showed up at one am because our flight was delayed.

Great hotel. It's very clean and the rooms are nice. They provide breakfast with a lot of options. Check in time is at 3 and check out is 11which I didn't like much but overall it is a good hotel.

Very close to airport. Shuttle to airport and seaport for cruise's was great. Rooms were clean and smelled amazingly fresh. Bathrooms also were next to spotless.

Everything was great until the internet died. I called the desk and they said they had just reset the modem and it would be up and running in 5 or 10 minutes… nope! It was off for hours. : (

8 days Rm 525 Spire Elite Member Very convenient location although the area doesn't have the most inviting feel when the sun goes down. It's located literally 5 minutes from the airport and highway; 15 minutes to the beach. There are more than enough places to eat within walking distance as well… The hotel is relatively small and has 3 levels of indoor parking. If you drive anything bigger than a midsize, I suggest going straight for level 3 and trying to find a middle spot. There are columns after every 3rd spot and it can get pretty tight. My room was a king and definitely suited its purpose. There was a fridge and microwave which is always a must if staying somewhere more than a few days. You may have to adjust the thermostat a few times before finding a comfortable setting (I found 72 to be very comfortable). I can't really comment on the quietness of the rooms because I was lucky enough to not have anybody next to me most of the time I was there. A few nights had some loud talkers in the hallway but thankfully it didn't last very long. Also, I can't really comment on the staff either because I only dealt with the front desk when I checked in and then I asked for fresh towels from the cleaning crew halfway through my stay. The Wi-Fi worked well but did offer its moments of frustration. The bathroom is small but nice. I always like hotels that offer walk-in showers so I was especially pleased here.

The staff was very helpful and kind. The hotel was very clean and nice. The only short coming would be that my room was not cleaned by the time I got off work and returned to the hotel. Other than that, 5 stars.

The staff was very helpful, directed us to a fantastic restaurant for dinner, even gave us a ride for free. The shuttle driver from the airport was great the complimentary breakfast was pretty good, better then I was expecting actually. If you're here for a cruise, I'd stay at this place every time. Quick, clean, easy, the only thing missing was a jacuzzi. The pool and gym were great there's even laundry room. Fast free Wi-Fi, and ether net.

The rooms were new, and included refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee system. There were also places to plug-in electronic devices for charging and the decor was very smart and modern. Our room was a king-size single but they included two nightstands, which is a convenience that I like to have while traveling. The staff was friendly and the hotel has a shuttle service to the airport which basically ran almost 24 hours a day. Our flights to Houston and back were very early in the morning and very late in the evening and the shuttle was able to accommodate that schedule. That was a very nice amenity to this hotel.

Room was awesome and the people at the front desk were very helpful when suggesting places to eat. The shuttle driver who works at the hotel and brought us from the airport was a really cool guy.

While booking my flight to Florida in July, my spouse and I were looking to stay at the Holiday Inn Doral. This hotel was recommend by the site as a package and after looking at others we booked this one and the cost was very reasonable. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the decor and absolutely amazed at how well presented the rooms were. The place was clean and the staff friendly. The hotel is in close proximity to shopping, entertainment and dining options and is located approximately 5 mins from the Ft. Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport. They also offer shuttle service to and from the airport and if you decide to rent a car, the parking there is supurb. The amenities in the room is good… mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and they also have an indoor pool and gym. Though it is located so close to the airport and train station you are never disturbed by noise… which was an eye opener for me. I absolutely enjoyed my stay there and would recommend this 10 times over to everyone.

It's a great, clean place to rest your head. Free continental breakfast, good security (if you're running from somebody), friendly customer service, laundry service *yes; laundry self-service*, fitness center, swimming pool, microwave and refrigerator, hair dryer and iron, all the varieties of coffee and/or tea you can handle; if they don't run out. You really make yourself right at home for a reasonable price. Just about all the amenities are there; except for a few. The only caviot is that there was no security safe in the rooms to lockup valuables, the main window curtains didn't completely close to block-out all the light sunlight, the shower head did not have a hose attachment for extra mobility **I know. I'm spoiled **, and the closet could be much bigger. Other than that, it was a GREAT experience at this Holiday Inn! I'd definitely come back and would encourage friends and/or family to stay here so close to FLL International Airport.

Where should I start? A pubic hair in an open soap in the bathroom, followed by dirty towels and bedsheets. Don't stay here. Oh and yes, when I asked for a room change they had none, I asked for towel change and they had me wait until midnight to do it. I will post pictures later.
