Rooftop bar was a little skeletal in appearance and liqour selection, though it's occupants appeared much more swanky than the cowboys at the main bar which was incredibly well-stocked and well-serviced. Double-table pool hall in the back, pleasant, private beer garden as well. Spotless bathrooms. Very nice. I could've shot whiskey at that bar all night. I believe the Sheridan Hotel bar fit the mountainous settings better than anyother bar in town.

One of my favorite places to stay when in Telluride. Rooms are very clean, staff exceptional and I have stayed at the New Sheridan and known the staff for years. I am only a short drive from Montrose. Restaurant is delightful.

I only visited the bar, which had a nice entertainment area (pool, Foosball) and a really nice patio. Unfortunately, I did not find the cocktails to be all that great. The old fashioned tasted a bit flat, without much depth to it. There was an espresso martini that a couple of my friends had and it was pretty good though. I just couldn't drink those all night.

Food was good, atmosphere was nice, I enjoyed that I didn't have to order breakfast food for breakfast but they had a phone menu option. Service was also nice and very attentive.

Right on the main street. Nice selection of liquors and a few local beers. Two pool tables and a foosball table.

I haven’t stayed at the hotel, but every time we’re in town, my family and I️ come here for breakfast and are never disappointed! The service is attentive and so friendly, and the food is incredible! The chilaquiles are delicious and a huuge portion.

New Sheridan was amazing! We won't be staying anywhere else when coming to Telluride. We booked them for our wedding and booked a suite. I wanted to pay everything off early but made monthly payments. They took each payment with ease and when we got there it was great to finally put faces to names! Our suite was superb. We had a view of the mountain and the main street, enough room for my bridal party to get ready, and the bed was amazing! Stay here if you're coming to Telluride!

Love this bar — we stop everytime we are in Telluride! Friendly staff, great vibe. Concerts at the opera house are incredibly intimate — great acts for such a small venue.

Incredible food and service. I also recommend the Flatliner martini.

One of the best bars and bar scenes in Telluride. Pool and foosball in the back. There is a poker table upstairs, so assume you could even throw some cards here.

Of all the gin joints, in all the world. You've found this place… don't f@=÷$ around order the buffalo ribeye! That porterhouse is good too.

The bartender and host in the front was amazing! The food was amazing but this is not a low income place! If your going out for a nice dinner or anniversary, I highly recommend it.

We love to support this historic property, I've been coming here for 57 years and it's only improved!

Excellent service in a beautiful historic building. Rooms were big and clean and breakfast downstairs was delicious.

My family of 6 booked 2 rooms on their opening day in November 2017. We pre registered and were greeted with care and kindness upon our arrival. The Old Fashions at the bar were great, we did not have the opportunity to do Dinner but the menu looked great. The Brunch and the corresponding 20% discount were put to use our checkout morning. Thanks to the great service. We will be back to visit you again. PS Believe their indication on the street side rooms. Although it did not bother us I could see some problems with early to bed folks sensitive to the street noise.

Telluride oldest hotel dating back to the mining days. Clean rooms with modern amenities and the charm of the early 1900's. Perfectly located in town with a great upscale restaurant, coffee shop and historic bar.

Very nice and loved the heated bathroom floors. However, the street noise makes it difficult to sleep. They do provide a white noise make and earplugs though.

Exquisite in every way. Pricey, but worth every penny. Friendly, accomodating staff. Large, comfortable rooms, highest quality linens, up close mountain view — right across Main and up four blocks. Central as can get… as if town built around it. Restaurant as good as any I've tried. 4 ☆ food and service. Warm and inviting. I travel on vacation trips 6 or 7 times a year and stay and eat in great places… NONE BETTER than this place.

We stop in here for food, cocktails and overnight stays a few times a year. After being told our party of 6 could sit on the patio. We settled in and then were asked to leave because they were not sitting people yet. After their employee sat us in the section. guess this will be our last time visiting an old favorite. Update: The out door section sat empty the whole time as the weather was not that great. Not only did they loose our immediate business but all three groups will not be frequenting the new Sheridan or the Phoenix bean.

From a long day & night on the road from Durango going to Aspen we pulled in to the New Sheridan at 2:00am tired. The not so nice night audit with white hair and glasses needs a lesson on customer service, called his place of work too expensive and too fancy and offered us another cheaper hotel. After waiting forever for him to run up & down the stairs, telling us there is no elevator and no breakfast in this so called fancy hotel. Needless to say he sent back out on the road at that hour & we will never go back, cause I am fancy but kind also.

New owners but still classy old historical hotel. A must see at least dinner or drink.

Iconic older Colorado Mining town hotel refurbished in a lovely tasteful way. Perfect if you want walkability to all of downtown. Staff was excellent. Beds very comfortable. Incredible views every where you look!

Went there for dinner for the 4th. The restaurant itself is nice with an authentic flair but the room we were point in was hot. The food itself was good but definitely not cheep.

The bar at the New Sheridan Hotel was a great experience. The bartenders were very engaging and had a good selection of beers and drinks. Great place if you are looking to just have drinks.

Always a great spot for a drink. Gets crowded quick by the bar but there's plenty of room in the back.

This place has character, charm. Our bite-size room had great upgrades like heated tile, light dimmers. Completely updated, in the heart of Telluride.

This is a lovely, historic hotel in the center of town, and the staff is very helpful. I recommend it highly. My wife and I stayed here for two weeknights in June 2016. We paid over $200 for the room the first night, and over $300 the second night due to the Bluegrass Festival. It's expensive but I think it's worth it. The location is terrific, on the main street (Colorado St. ) next to a town park and a landmark courthouse building. The bars and restaurant in the building are beautiful and popular. In all of the common spaces of the hotel, the decor is beautiful — — classic, classy and historic. Our room was in the rear of the building, overlooking a back alley and rear yards, so the view was not wonderful. The room itself was great, including a bathroom that had upscale fixtures. The paint scheme and artwork in the room was lovely. I am glad I stayed here and I would choose it again. The hotel staff helped me when I made a special request regarding parking, and I am very grateful. We checked out of the hotel on the first day of the Bluegrass Festival. We wanted to enjoy the festival and drive away, out of town that night. The hotel had given us a parking placard to place on our dashboard while we parked for free a few blocks away in town. Well, on our check-out day, we asked if we could keep the parking placard all day, and return it tho the hotel that night, allowing us to keep our car parked in town until the festival ended that night.

Great rooms right in the middle of town with a friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again!

We had the opportunity to enjoy libations at the New Sheridan bar. Employees were friendly and quick to serve. Get your game on in the back with foosball and pool tables. Drink prices are reasonable.

What a treat to visit this hotel — one hotelier to another. Here the team excels at being human and the whole spririt is one of mountain life. We met a group of locals and they asked us to join them for dinner (here of course). For us this is the best Telluride hotel we have stayed at and the only one we will stay at in the future! And the restaurant and bar are what food is about — joyous ambiance and esprit.

Loved the New Sheridan. Stayed there the last week of Sept. 2014. It was sunny sweater weather when we arrived, then it rained, then it snowed, then a rainbow came out over Main Street. Steak & wine dinner in the bar is the best bargain in town. My wife developed a tooth ache and they even found us a dentist. A great town to walk around in, friendly people everywhere, including the hotel employees. We can't wait to return.

What a fine experience of being right in the heart of mountain life. The hotel seems to be a social hub where all the locals meet and discuss what's up in the hills. Great food, great bar, terrific ambience. Beautiful rooms. This is a winner.

An amazing little hotel in Telluride — an amazing little mountain town. These folks combine really caring people, not "staff" — but real people whom you want to KNOW, not just ask questions of (and always get great answers), with a sense of actually living in history with the real folks who live in this town. Here we got to be a part of the lifestyle, not just ski by it. And subtle luxury, great food, great vibe (the HQ for the Telluride film festival), and Yoga next door. Makes me feel good to just write this.

The restaurant! Didn't stay here, but the restaurant is five stars, no question. Pricey, but worth it! Yum.

I love this hotel. I rarely review places but after my 3rd stay I figured I needed to praise this Sheridan and its staff. The rooms are lovely. I was told they did a complete remodel and renovation in 2008. I can't say enough about the comfortable beds! I gotta admit that I had a noisy room one night and asked for something quieter and the staff was more than happy to assist me. After that room move I was in heaven. Everyone in town is really nice and the hotel staff was more than accomodating. What made me think to write this review was b/c I saw they got in service out of the Top 50 ski hotels in North America by Conde Nast. I would suggest asking for a quiet room unless you're gonna be partying. There was free coffee in the morning served behind the front desk which was really nice. Despite not having a fridge in my room they let me keep a few things in the restuarant fridge, so that was cool. Keep up the good work guys, look forward to another stay-Rocko.
