Glad hot tub was still open… clean, quiet room.

Nice breakfast, nice place, big parking lot.

I had a great 2 day stay there. Wonderful experience.

We couldn’t get to Pagosa due to road closures. They wouldn’t refund or offer to change to the next weekend.

Nice people and the room looked very good and clean.

We hit a deer coming into town. It was the middle of the night and the bank shut down our card because the security feature. We couldn't pay for a room until morning. They worked with us through our difficult time. These people are truly amazing. I can't believe how clean and updated the rooms were. I love this hotel! We need more caring and wonderful people like them in this world!

Sink leaked all over the floor, but it was fixed in 24 hours. No light fixture, just a bare, dirty bulb in the room entryway. Breakfast was cold and half of it was gone. Room was clean and staff was nice.

We came in to check into our room and was meet with hostility from the front desk ass because my 2 year old went up the stairs. He became verbally aggressive towards my mom when she confronted him on his rudeness and hostility. He then proceeded to tell her to get out and our reservation was cancelled. I will never go there again nor will I recommend a place that has violent people working there. Disgusted by the way this man treated my family and my 2 year old son who did nothing wrong and caused no harm. On top of all this we discovered that rhe owner who is also the front desk ass called all the other hotels in the area to tell them not to rent a room to us. What a loser this guy is. This place is not kid friendly and I assume he hated us because we are not white. Do not go here.

Hotel is very clean, the staff are extremely friendly and they allow dogs which is super awesome. This place is definitely newly remodeled and it looks great! We will be back again for sure! Thank you for such a lovely visit.

The best place in Pagosa Springs, great breakfast, comfy bed and amazing stuff.

Rooms were clean. Nothing special. There was puke outside by the main lobby and the front desk guy got in an argument with a guest over the phone while I was checking in lol kind of awkward.

Pet friendly, clean nice remodeled rooms staff helpful n very professional.

Place was nice and clean. Taking a star away because tub was clogged and when Owner arived to fix it complained about it he was so rude, I know it was not his fault and neither was mine I had arived a few minutes and after the drive nothing was more needed than a shower.

This is a cute place with newly remodeled rooms. It has a nice view from the sitting area near the pool. The clerk is a lovely, charming lady and was very welcoming. We love pagosa and the people. The only thing that prevented a five start was one of the beds in our room sunk-in in the middle (we just put the kids in that on and everyone was fine! ) I don't think the beds were replaced during the remodel.

Nice hotel at a good price. The beds were comfortable and the pool and hot tub were pleasant. There is a morning buffet but I did not try it. I would stay here again.

If you want to get the cops called on you. This is the place to stay! The old guy that works there is a douche. Don't even think about parking in their empty parking lot…

Stayed the night to go snowboarding at Wolf Creek. It was comfortable and clean. Very affordable and the complimentary breakfast was good as well.

We were refused check-in but charged twice on our credit card leaving us very little funds in our account. During a phone call to the owner's daughter I was hung up on after they refused to fix our reservation. Their own employee claimed it was their "greedy owner's fault" and that he was too prideful to assist us. She then gave us the room for the night and I had to talk to the owner the next morning, it was a frustrating weekend due to an ignorant owner. Decently clean rooms I must admit.

Was very clean and nice just sucked the hot tub close at 10:00pm wish it was longer but all in all it was a great place to stay.

I believe the room was a bit pricey at $114 for one night. We stopped in at 2:30 AM and so didn't get much use of the room before the 11 AM checkout time. It was a pet-friendly room as we had a cat. The room itself was a bit dated and could use new carpeting. The bathroom was not upkept to the standard I'd expect for paying over $100, especially the bathtub as the enamel coating was severely damaged and had peeled off. Overall it was OK but it felt more like a $60 room.

The Hillside Inn was easy to get to as it is just off the main road. I was in town for a wedding so I was not in my room very much, but it was very clean. I was happy with my stay at the Hillside Inn and would stay here again if I'm ever in Pagosa Springs.

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was wonderful. I didn't get a chance to use the pool, but overall, I was very happy with the Hillside Inn. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay for the money clean very nice. Lady at desk very helpful. Breakfast was great something for everyone to eat. Will be back.

This is the best place in town to stay. Owner are the best. I stay here every year when I come to town. They know be name and remember every year.

Based on previous reviews, I'll admit that I was a little nervous about booking a room at this hotel, but I was very pleasantly surprised! When we got there, the lady at the front desk was great! The room they originally had us down for was on the upper floor, but as we started toward our room, we soon realized that there is no elevator. Before we even asked, the lady apologized and asked us if we would like a room on the 1st floor instead. Awesome customer service! We got to the room and were very happy with it. It was good sized, clean, and had everything we needed. Yes, the wallpaper was peeling a little bit in a few places, the mattress was old and a not super comfortable, and it was a but dated, but really, it wasn't bad at all. They had a nice sized pool and hot tub, which we didn't use, but it looked nice enough. Breakfast was served from 6:30-9:30, and even on weekday mornings included biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, and waffles, along with the standard hotel breakfast food. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of making sure our bed was made and that we always had fresh towels and wash cloths. I would definitely stay here again! If you want a swanky hotel, you're going to have to pay the price of a swanky hotel, but if you just want a clean, comfortable place to stay, then I recommend this place!

Great place. Front desk lady was awesome, very helpful. Room was clean, nothing fancy but clean and functional. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed there last weekend and was awakened at midnight by the hotel office. The hotel's desk abruptly said I needed to move my car. Earlier that night, I had parked the car in a parking space that was not marked in any way. The flatbed trailer on the lawn was there, but not in the parking space. How was I to know, that it wasn't just stored there? Anyway, the front desk was abrupt, not apologetic in any way for waking me and having me get dressed to go move the car. He didn't give me an option to move it right then or by a certain time in the morning. I thought it was very rude. Also, there were many dead insects in the window. I don't think they could have accumulated from the morning's cleaning to check in. Breakfast was acceptable. Furnishings were rather beat up and several marks on the wall. I know the hotel business can be crazy at times, so maybe it was just a bad day. Thank you for allowing me the chance to get this off my mind.

The owners were great, nice and friendly. Rooms were very nice and clean and accommodating. Perfect for what my family needed.

Good for a quick stop. Hot breakfast. Room okay. A little tired. Carpet could be cleaned. But dog friendly so overall goood.

Breakfast was great. I had waffles. Beds were decent. Better than I hoped for. Staff was awesome. They take good care of bikers too.

Room was nice and half the staff was nice. I found what I believe to be bed bugs in room 228. I'm no expert on identification, however from a Google search and multiple sources they did look exactly like them, same size, color, shape.

Wi-Fi is equal to wireless dial-up, except somehow less reliable, bathrooms missing tiles, tub has peeling paint in the bottom. Breakfast is not early enough for working people and isn't restocked. Would be 2 stars but staff doesn't care about any of the above.

The hotel could use an update but it was pretty clean overall and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is pretty small and cramped and kind of difficult to move around if several people are there with not a lot of seating. The breakfast itself was just average, typical for a full continental breakfast.

Slow internet. The room are clean and the pool and spa work. Someday the hotel industry well give us the internet needed to watch our steaming services so we do not need to watch the old style TV or the 32" LED.

Nice hotel in Pagosa. Bathrooms have been updated, and everything is clean. Descent free breakfast. A bit too much chlorine in pool, but kiddos didn't complain, so not a huge issue.

Very nice place to stay when you want to get right into some sort of hiking adventure. All the nice trails are within half an hour of here, not to mention the hotel itself is not that bad (free breakfast! )

The hotel was on the main street of pogosa springs, making it so easy to get to everywhere. The employees of the hotel gave me great recommendations for places to go, including The Wolf Brewery to watch the Superbowl. The accommodations were clean and roomy, I will definitely be coming back.

Pretty decent hotel itself, however if you are not Caucasian, the owners treat you like crap. Requests to plow the snow? NOPE. Kindly wish them a merry Christmas? IGNORED. They are so rude. A group of Asians even went to another hotel. They conversed politely to a Caucasian family in their dining area but completely ignored the others. In conclusion unless you're Caucasian, don't expect nice service or any service at all from the owners.

If I could give this zero stars I would have but I guess the nice front girl at the front desk warrants a star. Other than that, this is the grossest place I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in a lot of places. It's dirty, it smells, it was $89. Do not waste your money and stay here, I will sleep in my car before I sleep here again!

At the last minute decided to go to Pagosa Springs for the Labor Day weekend. Got the last room at Hillside Inn. Price was very reasonable. They did not try to gouge me for a holiday booking. The room had 2 queen size beds and was very clean. The free breakfast was quite good. We went down toward the end of the published time for serving and were surprised to find that they were continuing to put out fresh food — no leftovers. In fact they continued to serve quite a bit longer than the published time for closing the dining room. Would I stay here again? You bet. Would I recommend this place to others? Well I just did. Warm, friendly and clean. A great place to stay.
