Friendly staff and the atmosphere is calm. The area is quite not alot of noise. The parking space is limited and the room is decent. It's pretty clean and the sink in my room was clogged. Besides that its not the Marriott, you pay what you get. Surrounding area has restuarant and general stores in walking distance, also there's a pool indoor and a weight room at this location.

Not a fancy hotel, but about what you expect from an Econo Lodge. Super friendly and helpful staff, and there's several decent restaurants nearby within walking distance. It's a short drive to town, and reasonably priced. Make it to breakfast early though, there's only one waffle iron.

It's about what you would expect, a decent room at a decent price. The room was pretty clean and everything was in good shape. It's better than comparable places in Pagosa Springs.

Great place, clean, nice, we had an after hours check in which was quick and easy. Nice breakfast very nice outdoor patio.

Four days here unexpectedly. Nice clean and well managed. Enjoyed the backyard. Thought it could be a good place for smaller low cost destination weddings. (Bring some faux hedge wrap. ) The San Juans are incredible here folks. Absolutely beautiful! Come to enjoy the mountains. Stay here to rest and recoup. Thank you for the hospitality Moose! You and your family too Martin. :)

A very nice stay! The man at the front desk could use a smile though! Breakfast wasn't too bad either.

The room was ok. The continental breakfast was just cereal and small waffles. I decided to eat reasonably healthy so I went to a restaurant.

Econo Lodge is a good place to go for travellers. The rooms are neat and reasonably furnished. The staff were always nice and helpful. Everything seems very familiar and casual.
The opportunity to sit down with a holiday evening beer outside in front of the rooms I thought was great.
However, due to the very meagre breakfast offer, there is a star deduction.

We weren't told until we arrived after driving 3 hours that pets could not be left unattended. There were hairs in the shower-many of them. The coffee maker had a dirty coffee pod left in it. There were dirty dingy pillows mixed with snow white ones. The main lamp by the TV wouldn't work. We will NEVER stay here again.

I had no complaints! Not a super insanely luxurious Hotel, but great great quality for the price! I love the pool and hot tub perfect for the winter after skiing to just warm up your body and relax your muscles! Especially love the heated pool! And it only goes to 4 ft I believe, so it's perfect for families! The breakfast was yummy and the lobby was cozy, it was in a great location too. Not too close to town but not so far away. I would definitely visit the Econo Lodge again!

Was a 'less than desirable experience'. Made reservation online for one of 2 pet friendly king bed rooms. When I arrived, was flatly and coldly told that I had not reserved the correct room. I was offered another room (2 queen bed) for the same cost however. The front desk attendant wasn't great at customer service. Hotel was loud — the walls and floor above didn't seem to have any sound deadening insulation. We had to turn the TV volume up to drown out all the thumping noise when people walked on the 2nd floor above or when doors closed, etc. The bathroom had some mildew around bathtub seams and was very small (hard to close the bathroom door when you were inside of the bathroom without crowding between the toilet and the bathtub). Breakfast was adequate. Overall not a great hotel that is representative of other Econo Lodge locations in my experience. Edit — forgot to add that my window in the room had been broken and was held together with what looked like scotch tape. The remote control to the TV would change the volume when you depressed the guide button.

Close to the heart of Pagosa Springs but far enough away to get some quiet, this was a great place to stay for us. The hotel was rated the number one best value in Pagosa and not only was that true but also it exceeded our expectations. Would stay here again and will recommend others.

Definitely worth the money I would say. We went to Pagosa Springs for the mineral water experience and this allowed us to do more with our money. Most parts of the room were updated but there were still a few that needed work.

We rented 2 rooms this past weekend. The 2nd day while changing our baby we noticed bed bugs. We went down to tell the representative and was told ok, as if it was no big deal. They mentioned they had no other vacancies. We had to all stay the night in 1 room. Making it a very uncomfortable stay. Not to mention, I had to toss clothes because I was to scared to bring bed bugs to my house. I definitely would not recommend.

Great hotel for the price. We had trouble finding availability in town and the front desk clerk was very friendly and maximized our stay. The bed comfort could have been better but the rooms were overall well kept.

The rooms are in good shape and cleaned well. The staff are friendly and helpful. The fact that our dog could stay with us makes it even better.

Recently stayed there for a few days. No complaints. We thought it was wonderful. Other guests I spoke to thought so as well. We will definitely stay there again.

The owners take great pride in presenting a very well maintained and clean facility. Our room was clean with a very comfortable bed. There was a very pretty courtyard full of flowers, attractive plants and seating for guests. This was a very good room for the value. We highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect place to stay, always clean an people are helpful day or night. Never had any problems in 8 years.

Good location off the highway, staff was friendly, and they served a decent breakfast. The whole place seemed tired, worn out, and badly in need of a good deep cleaning and maintenance. Pillows and mattress were uncomfortable and the peeling moldy wallpaper in the bathroom made me cringe. It was probably because the bathroom fan did not work. Pool water was a strange color. It was an OK place to spend one night, but I won't return again.

Our room was VERY clean. Every square inch of our suite you could tell that it had been dusted and cleaned very throughly. The carpets you could tell that they were worn, but it was still clean. The grounds in the sitting area outside were also keep very nice. During our visit, the grill had not yet been cleaned for the summer time use, but it would an extra bonus for their guests when it is available. The family enjoyed the breakfast and was very pleased with their selections available. I spoke to both the maid and the owner and told them both of how wonderful our stay was and what an absolute pleasure it was to have such a clean room. I would highly recommend the EconoLodge in Pagosa Springs and I know exactly where I will be staying the next time we go back.

Clean, friendly and we visited off season. Worth the money. Cleaning staff does an amazing job on the rooms!

Very disappointing for the price paid! Although my original destination was further up the road, construction through the Rockies slowed me down and I had to stop in this over-priced tourist flop of a town for the night (my night vision is not good). The front desk clerk was checking a family of 4 in ahead of me, and was quite slow at it, with no greeting to me or even acknowledgement. A portly woman with a thick accent (who I later found out was the owner), flitted about doing nothing; no acknowledgement from her either. Of course I could hear the transaction of the family ahead of me, as their vestibule is quite small. For a family of four with no reservation, they were given a room with two queen beds for $99. I heard nothing about any discounts. When it was my turn, the obsequious clerk said they only had a room with two beds in it left, identical to the one just rented to the family of 4. Although alone, I had to take the room as it was pitch black outside by now. My price: $137! When I asked why the family of 4 got a rate $38 less than mine, the clerk said they got an AARP discount, yet neither adult was older than about 43 (have to be 50 to join AARP). When I mentioned this, the clerk said, "oh, oh I mean a AAA discount". When I asked what exactly that discount was, the useless woman was clearly becoming agitated off to the side, as though how dare I question their pricing strategies.

Friendly service but an average hotel.

Great stay, great staff. It was a relief to stay here after a horrible stay at the Quality Inn on Hot Springs Boulevard the night before. Do NOT stay at the Quality Inn! Econo Lodge is 100% better for nearly the same price!

Very good stay, everyone treated great!

We stayed in Pagosa Springs at the Econo Lodge recently and we enjoyed it, the beds were nice and comfy, it was clean and there was a tub so our son could take a bath. The breakfast was the usual, bagels, muffins, cereal, waffles and orange juice, Apple juice and coffee. The hotel is located next to the road but we couldn't hear traffic except for the one or two semis that were breaking and the motor cycles right outside our window revving there engines. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the toilet paper was rough and there was no elevator. All in all I'd stay here again, but I'll bring my own t. P. And I would recommend it to my family and friends.

By far the worst service and most cold hearted people you could ever meet. I am a 18 year old girl traveling alone, my car broke down between Durango and pagosa and I was lucky enough to flag down people to help me find a hotel at 3:30 in the morning and they took me to the here. I paid my last 80$ to sit at the desk waiting for someone to drive up to help me and then we went to breakfast and went to sleep and the bed sheets had blood on them. I went to the front to discuss rates for another night — giving the situation and being low on funds and to tell her I needed a maid to come change the sheets and the owner, the maid and a random employee accused me of trying to "get a free night" and that I "made up" the blood or it was mine, when I took pictures and showed them. Just takes all my faith in people and the female owner who would rather through a girl out in the biggest blizzard Colorado has seen, 20 miles from my car and knowing I was in a situation because I chose to ask about rates prior to discussing the sheets needing to be changed. I was screamed at by everyone include the maid, gaining up on me after I was obviously scared, upset, and alone.

I remember a clean room with crisp sheets. Aces in my book. Second visit, mattress was pretty rough. Still clean.

This place is in need of some serious updates. The hours for everything stunk. We paid the same price for much much better hotels. Oh well, it was a place to sleep.
