They are absolutely gouging on parking at this hotel. The parking cost is almost 40% of the room cost! So if you get a room for 150, it will cost you 200 with parking. You don't find out till you get there that it's an extra 50 bucks. So they trick you into staying here with a competitive room rate, and then jack you on arrival. There are 5 other complaints about parking at this hotel on Google and they have chosen to not change their rate or policy, but they respond to reviews on here giving lip service with no real change to increase customer satisfaction. There is better value at other hotels downtown, of which there are far nicer properties at the same price with parking rates half of what this hotel charges.

Service was great! All the employees were very professional and friendly. Location was right next to 16th Street, which is great for guests. The breakfast was average, but nothing to complain about for it being a complimentary breakfast! Overall great stay!

We always love staying at the HGI, and for the most part, this experience was no different. My only gripe was that our air conditioning stopped working, and our room was 75* when we got back from the Taylor Swift concert. Not exactly primo sleeping conditions. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, they offered to swap us into a different room. I let them know we were in a double queen, and when they confirmed those were all sold out, they offered a box fan or a wait until morning when engineering returned. Having worked in hospitality myself, I would have known what kind of room the guest was in without her having to tell me, and would have known what rooms we had available without having to check — especially on concert nights or other event nights. I would have also been aware the guest was checking out the next day and that maintenance the next morning would have been a moot offer. The box fan only would have come up after an upgrade offer, IF the guest had declined the upgrade offer as unnecessary. Thankfully she got us into a king/sofa suite which was much appreciated. Everything except this piece was a 5 star rating.

My number one priority for any hotel is a comfortable bed/pillows. Everything else can be perfect but if that isn't right, nothing else matters. Having said that, it is rare that I stay in a hotel that doesn't get these two things right. Unfortunately for me and my wife it most definitely wasn't right. We both had poor sleep in room 1202. Neither of us slept well and my wife woke up with back pain because of it. The pillows were down which I love, however, these were minimally stuffed. At a minimum you should have a couple of pillows of varied filling and support to meet differing requirements of your guests. The bed was springy and definitely beyond it's useful life. Thankfully these problems are easily fixed. Hopefully they will be.

My reservation was cancelled next door the sister location with a 1 hour notice and not 2 I was emailed with. Hotel with in the 1 hour was sold out? This is after a long day and several other similar problems with my flight and rental, I might add. Luckily the managers on duty between the hotels was able to get us a very nice room here. Thank you very much.

This hotel is awesome! Definitely one of the better Hilton locations I have stayed at in my lifetime. My room was nice and clean, and me and my dad booked a queen room, which was pretty small, but not in a bad way. The bathroom had room to spare, which was good, but the HVAC system was a little noisy so it got turned off before we went to sleep. The breakfast is expensive, but this hotel has lots of amenities! The pool, strangely is not located on the first floor, but it is located on floor LL (Lower Level) and the Fitness Center, and Laundry Room are also located on this level/floor. The hotel and rooms are AWESOME, but what is a real rip off is parking. Drumroll… $42 A NIGHT? Yes, it is insanity! Other than that, this hotel is awesome and family-friendly.

The housing for our event was great. Friendly staff welcomed us and made the event our focus, didn't have any issues or even think about any needs as they met them. Great service.

Great location downtown. Hot tub and indoor pool were nice also. Comfortable beds. Was able to request quiet room. Keurig in room.

Great place to stay. Rooms are clean. Staff is courteous and professional. Only a couple blocks from the 16th Street mall.

Great rooms, but the "complimentary" breakfast was still $15?!?! The event staff was fantastic and easy to work with though. The pillows are very… Thin? They are down feather, but it was hard to get comfy. Great location close to 16th st and the convention center. Parking may be hard to come by without valet. We just rode the train from the airport then trolleys down 16th to the hotel and did not rent a vehicle.

The Hilton is beautiful and so was the food and the food servers. The only thing that was negative was what I assume to be the bell boy. When I approached him twice to ask him questions he answered very Rude and seemed very pompous.

The entrance is not on the main road and is hidden from direct view. The hotel rooms are good, location is good and service is also good. There is nothing exceptional about the hotel but if you are looking for a good hotel in downtown, then this does the job. Prices are not too expensive and hotel is surrounded by some decent restaurants.

Not impressed… I have stayed in way cheaper motels that where set up better that here… The beds are hard and springy the pillows are small and flat. Took the kids swimming the water in the pool and hot tub both looked greenish and the hot tub was broke… Huge room prices and still have to pay 40 bucks for parking… but the rooms are clean… I won't be back, it's cheaper to stay north a bit and take a cab…

My father and I just stayed at this hotel over the weekend for the Jets vs Broncos game. I was VERY pleased with the stay here and will definitely stay here again. It is within walking distance of everything and the staff was amazing. Our flight got in SUPER early and the hotel was able to accommodate our early check in. I am sold on this hotel and will be staying here every time I come to Denver. A+++

Great clean and modern hotel. The front desk is one of the friendliest group you'd meet. Rooms are clean and a bit higher than standard, feels very much like a Hilton property you've likely stayed in at this lower price range. It's nothing fancy, but also not breaking the bank.

We had an overall pleasing stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Denver. It is within walking distance of nearly everything you'd want to do in Downtown Denver, including the famous street mall. It is about a mile walk from the Union Station which was nice. The hotel is overall nice but the rooms were kind of dated. We were only slightly underwhelmed by this but the cleanliness that you expect from Hilton entirely compensates. I would certainly recommend this place of you are staying in downtown Denver, especially if you can catch a good rate like we did!

You won't find a place with more helpful staff then here. This is my go to when staying downtown in Denver. Wifi good. Breakfast good. If I had to ding you I'd ding you for the likely dent my car picked up at the valet. Please be careful (can't 100% prove so didn't push it).

Nice people. Bar had good food. Close to the mall downtown. Comfortable room. Beds were good too. Was there for a business meeting. Staff served breakfast and lunch. Food was good.

Cheap, Impersonal. Clean, Friendly staff, Good Location. No breakfast, not even coffee. Since almost every motel n had better Standard.

After what started out as a rough stay and a big headache. Everything worked itself out. Amy's service and welcoming smile made all the difference. Her smile was a good energy change not mention Bobby and I believe his name is Alex behind the bar, black spikey hair, both made me feel welcomed. They gave me good ideas and also had amazing service. Food and beverage team is above average and they deserve praise. Also Allen was very helpful in relieving my headache and also Ashley the AGM was also very pleasant. Even when it seemed it would be good stay she was very helpful. There were some thing that happened as far as stuff getting thrown away in my room that wasn't opened but other than that housekeeping was good.

Checked into the hotel on Friday, went to the room only to be met with a broken air condition unit. So we contacted the front desk to inform them the our room was set on 80 degrees and after 30 minutes with the thermostat set at 68 degrees, there was no change in the temperature. We requested another room but was informed they were sold out and a maintenance member will come up to take a look. We left for a few hours to only come back to the same conditions. But they did bring a fan for the room. We ended up opening the windows for the night. Saturday was the same story of the back and forth. They changed the filter and it started to cool off a little but ended up opening the window again. I don't believe this large of a hotel was booked up to were we couldn't get into another room.

Quiet and quaint. Nice little spot for a simple getaway. They have keurigs in the room which is great. Not super renovated and the Breakfast nook is hard to find but overall good selection for the free breakfast. Would stay again.

Staying here was perfect! Valet was a breeze (I hate thinking about parking). Front Desk was quick at check in and helpful. Ordered room service which was amazing! Easy to get to. Comfy beds and bedding. Bartenders were very nice. Made our stay super relaxing!

Everything has been great so far. The check in process was quick and easy, and there have been no issues with anything. The little convenience store by the check in area is a lifesaver, and the bar/restaurant in the lobby is very nice. I've used the fitness center twice, and both trips have been good experiences. Some of the things in the room are a little worn, but no functional issues. The free Wi-Fi is slow, but free is free, and it has good coverage. Every staff member I've encountered has been friendly and helpful. This has nothing to do with the hotel, but one thing to note for those travelling with luggage — public transport from the airport will drop you off at union station, which is quite far. You will need to take the mall shuttle which is free, but very slow as it stops every block.

The service at the Hilton Garden Inn Denver was outstanding! Staff was friendly to a 120lb service dog that can be somewhat intimidating. Always smiling, the staff at this hotel was a pleasure. The one bedroom suite was impeccably clean and housekeeping was very respectful of my privacy which I cannot say about other hotels. A 'DO NOT DISTURB' sign hanging on the door means just that at the Hilton Garden Inn. Even though I passed my 'late checkout' time, there were no harassing phone calls or knocks on the door. The service cart remained outside of my room until my departure and I remained undisturbed. Room service was prompt and attentive, even serving my dog before I could! It was my pleasure being a guest at this hotel!

Great location right across from the convention center. I'd have preferred a larger room, but the later check out time for members is fantastic! They said my room would be ready early, and then never called when it was actually ready. Overall a pleasant hotel with a friendly staff.

Great service! I'm very satisfied with both cleanliness and the professionalism of the staff. This is also a great location with easy access to 16th street and all forms of public transit! Will definitely return!

Awful experience here with dreadful staff. Room was not kept up at all, for example, bare wires exposed from wall where I presume a fire alarm would have been placed, the bathroom door was sticking and wouldn't close without a sharp jolt etc. As for the staff, the front desk help was not nice at all. We came back from a night out and had to wait for several minutes to get assistance. Seriously, who runs this place? Save yourself the trouble and find another place here to stay. I'd recommend the magnolia and I should have just stayed there.

A friend came into down and wanted to spend a night out in Denver and had attended the Rockies game. The valet was not very polite, and had very little human emotion. Upon checkin, we were greeted pleasantly, but once we got to our room, it was an entire different story. This is either a fairly new hotel, or it's been recently renovated. The fixtures and carpet were ok, but the bedding/pillows were terrible and the bed was very stiff. I was excited to stay here as in the confirmation it said that the bed had a "ADJUSTABLE FIRMNESS DIAL", which was complete false advertisement. The toilet was barely flushable, the AC didn't work and the refrigerator ran ALL NIGHT long, plus the walls were incredibly thin and could hear the neighbors and all of their activities up and down the hotel hall all night/morning. Upon checkout, I was asked how my stay was, and I said "it was alright", he didn't ask what had happened but just said, "since you booked through a third party, I'll take off your parking", which was astonishing in itself at 39$ a night! We didn't even drive it out ONCE. All over the rooms and on the room key, it says "if you aren't satisfied, you don't pay". And this apparently, is a lie too. Will not stay at this hotel again in the future. Would rather have paid a little more money and stayed somewhere else.

While the hotel is very nice and easy access to everything. Beautiful hotel, clean, great location! I have 2 issues — we split our room fees between 3 of us and I was double charged and they can not find evidence of that so I will probably need to provide bank statements. And once we left I realized my vehicle has been damaged by the valet. Once I stopped to get gas we saw the yellow scrapes and dent. I usually check my vehicle before I leave however it took us 35 minutes to even get our vehicle due to the line of people. I did enjoy my stay and they have taken care of the charges after a lengthy phone call.

The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The front desk clerks are cheerful and the check in/ check out process is simple and fast.

The rooms were large and comfortable. Also, the staff was extremely helpful. It is very close to the convention center and easily within walking in. Overall, my stay was comfortable, affordable, and convenient.

My wife and I stayed here after a long weekend as newlyweds in Vegas. While we where in Vegas we bought shirts that said groom and bride. We are from Omaha NE and flew out from Denver so we decided to stay the night in Denver before we started our long drive back home. We wore our shirts that we had purchased in Vegas as we checked in. The Front desk woman with short hair was VERY nice, polite, thoughtful and helpful. She noticed our shirts, congratulated us and started small talk. It was an early flight so we checked in sometime in the afternoon and we were very tired ready for a nap but wanted to go out for a nice dinner while we where in town. She went out of her way made reservations for us to a nice steak house in walking distance from the hotel. She knew we where going to take a nap so she made reservations at 8pm for us. At about 7pm we both woke up to the phone ringing. It was the front desk wanting to know if they could bring something up to us. We said sure were getting up anyways. A few moments later room service comes up and gives us a tray with chocolates, dipped strawberries, cheese cake drizzled with fudge, a bottle of champagne and a very nice thoughtful card from the lady at the front desk! It was a great way to end our last day on our honeymoon. The room was spacious and the bed was so nice to sleep on. We got treated so good and loved the room so much we decided to spend our first anniversary this March in Denver while staying here!

Good and economical option in downtown Denver. Located just two blocks from 16th Street, which is the commercial Walker in the center of the city.

The hotel was centrally located convenient and nice. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel room was decent, but the desk clerk double charged me for the room, and when I called to complain about it they said "it that happens all the time, and they receive several of these complaints a month". So I was forced to dispute the claim through my bank, and Hilton Garden has now drawn that process out for 4 months and refuses to refund me. Don't go here unless you want to risk months of aggravation.

Do not stay here. Epidemic theft surrounding this hotel. This hotel is in between cherry creek and 16th street mall. This is where most of the thiefs and criminals hang out in Denver. No one at the hotel tells you this but five minutes walking around and you will know you are not in a safe place. They have a bike rack for employees at the hotel, but none for guests? I dont know if this is a Hilton policy, or just this backwards ass branch, to provide better accommodations and security to its employees rather than the guests. Told me there was no bicycle rack on the property, even though there is one in the garage. My bicycle was locked up and was stolen from within ten feet of the hotel entrance in the middle of the day on May 22nd. If you stay here check you insurance coverage because all hilton will give you is a, "were sorry, but not responsible for anything". Look it up online this area is number one area for theft in Denver.

Don't stay here unless you want your stuff stolen. Valet parking ppl stole about 16 dollars from the console of my car and also stole a pair of Prada sunglasses that cost $350. Saw room service food sitting in the hallway for over 3 hours. You could get a way better place for how much this hotel runs compared to what they offer.

Left around $400 in things in my room. Called the next day and they said they would hold it. Couldn't make it. Tried calling and left messages. No one got back to me. Just talked to them and they said they got rid of my things cause I didn't come the next day to pick it up.

Entered the hotel and everyone was very nice, all the staff greeted us and were very polite. The room was very clean, nice, and up to the standards I would expect. Someone came by a bit later with chocolates which my family really liked and 30 minutes later got a call asking how things were. Very nice so far. Then we went to the pool and things weren't so nice. The pool was absolutely freezing, I am pretty sure they heater was either off or broken. The hot tub was dirty and had a very nasty look to it. I am pretty sure it hasn't been chlorinated in a few days or more. If you aren't using the pool, the place is very nice and highly recommended. If you plan to use the pool, I would think twice.

Great location, friendly staff, and nice rooms. Very close to the 16th St Mall, the convention center, and the museum district. We had a great stay! Ask for a room on the upper floors and you might get a view of the mountains.

The service at this hotel is amazing. The room service menu is very good as well and much better than the standard menu at many other Hilton Garden Inns. Each staff member I interacted with was cheerful, helpful, and prompt. This is not a hotel for the frugal, but you very much get what you pay for. My one complaint is that the mini-fridge is very loud and I couldn't reach the power cord to unplug it.

We arrived and had no problems with the outrageous expensive valet (but it is dt denver so expensive anywhere). We were able to do an early check in once the desk clerk figured out what she was doing. The lobby is small, but the Pi bar serves decent cocktails. The room was small, but clean. The pool is a pathetic indoor excuse of a pool, and the fitness center was closed for remodel. This place is in a great location to 16th st mall and many bars (and the strip club is right around the corner), but for what we paid, there are better options in dt denver.
