Quintessentials is such a delightful B&B & Spa that it is incomperable to the many I have been in prior to this visit. Sylvia, the gracious innkeeper, is able to anticipate most needs. What she doesn’t think of in advance is covered by her smart questions. Her home is full of the best possible kind of energy: love and care and nurturing; her breakfasts are made from this as well as fresh, tasty, and healthy ingredients. Experienced and worldly as Sylvia is, I’m not surprised she has her finger on the pulse of whether you need solitude or would like an interesting and lively chat. Her reccommendations for restaurants and activities in nearby towns are spot on. Two days at Quintessentials felt like a 5-day vacation. And, the North Fork is a wonderful place to be to enjoy nature and much more.
My wife and I spent our 32nd wedding anniversary and found the welcoming hospitality enhanced our time away. Silvia greeted us with a big hug and made us one of the family immediately. We would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to all it is very peaceful the inside is very clean throughout the house. We were surrounded by antiques and enjoyed her description and stories behind each piece. Sitting down for breakfast was wonderful way to start your morning, meeting other guest and chatting with Silvia truly was a great experience she has traveled the world and shares her stories with her guests. This is a VERY clean place and that was what I appreciated the most! The innkeeper, Sylvia, is very nice and interesting to talk to. She pays attention to details and wants to make your stay pleasant — and it was very enjoyable. She stays informed about the area and can tell you about things to do. The breakfast she provides is fantastic and filling too. She makes a variety — but every day we had a large fruit cup. Favorite foods she served were rosemary potatoes, and a spinach frittata. We had a cucumber salad too and feta cheese, tomatoes, olives… bacon, sausage—just a great smorgasbord of good foods! TV in room was easy to operate and music playing to welcome us. It was a good trip to the area and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
