Amazing breakfast, nice bedrooms with fireplace and out door fire pits. Great location to visit Benziger and many other wineries.

This is one secret hotel you must visit. It’s absolutely stunning. The rooms are super cozy for a fun weekend getaway with your loved ones. My favorite part is the heated floor and shower head! In room fridge, and they thought of all the amenities to make you feel at home. Beds are super comfortable. The grounds are breathtaking. Pool is heated and to die for. The staff is really what just is the icing to the cake! They go way out of their way for you. So friendly and really genuine and caring. So helpful and awesome. The food in the am for brunch is heaven. Chai tea made in house is delicious! Can’t wait to come back soon!

We found the Olea Hotel as a happy accident for a special birthday trip and we were completely delighted start to finish. Ken and everyone else at the hotel went absolutely above and beyond in every way. From the wonderful breakfasts, to the doggie welcome basket, to the onsite wine tasting, the wonderful massage therapist (Sharon) and the authentic ease and kindness of all of the staff, it is no wonder why everyone we came across in the community had wonderful things to say about the Olea. It is a truly special place!

My husband and I came here for a staycation (from SF), best decision ever! The environment is super relaxing, with various outdoor seating areas, enough to provide privacy and relaxation for all guests. The rooms are very well designed and appointed, with all the modern amenities you need (except lacking USB charger), including the flat screen TV that can be connected directly with your mobile phone for ease of online streaming. We stayed in one of the two lovely cottages, it has indoor/outdoor fireplace (mind blown) and heated bathroom floors (what luxury)! Bed was huge and comfortable. The robe was of high quality — in case anyone else sleeps in robes like I do, hah. Just missing indoor slippers. The 3 course complimentary breakfast was also very impressive, tasty, and satisfying. We’ve traveled a lot, and I’m honestly unsure how this place is a 3 star hotel. It’s definitely on par, if not exceeds, most 4 star hotels around the world.

I live in the area and my wife booked Olea for a little birthday weekend get a way. I was so impressed. What an absolutely lovely experience. From the curb appeal, to the grounds, to the service, the rooms, and don’t forget about the food. I can’t want to book our next stay. WOW just WOW!

We had the most amazing experience at Olea. Great modern rooms, heated floors in the bathroom, complimentary snacks and water, personalized attention, friendly staff. Everything you can ask for and more! Accommodated our large group without a hitch. And those breakfasts! We’ll remember them for months to come. Absolutely no negatives, and tons of positives. Stayed her a couple years back for our Anniversary trip and was amazed by the views from our room. Very clean room and great customer service. Breakfast was amazing and Wine tasting was a nice bonus. Highly recommend this place to anyone. Might have to come back since it's been majorly remodelled.

We enjoyed the lovely setting, beautiful grounds, courteous staff, gorgeous breakfast, and overall ambiance. We definitely recommend as a destination for wine country exploration.

My wife and I were just there and I can't tell you how impressed we were with the ENTIRE experience. We were just so impressed. We were initially greeted by Gretchen who provided us a "wine passport" to the wineries in the area and suggestions locally before our room was ready. Later we met Kent and Kathryn who treated us like VIP royalty. Kathryn later helped us with wine shipment and brought us some assorted nuts with our wine. She was FABULOUS! And the breakfasts is not just a breakfast; it IS an EXPERIENCE! Oh my goodness. (we were making sounds after every bite, it was that good). And while we were at breakfast, the cleaning staff was already busy cleaning our rooms! (that never happens at a regular hotel! ). We are also so thankful that one of the chefs (Khambay) was so kind to prepare us a quick delicious breakfast on the morning we left since we had to leave early. Everyone was so incredibly nice and kind and they really "cared" about you and making sure you had a good time. With so much competition in the area, you have to do things that are better than the rest; and let me tell you, Olea is the best in our opinion. Thank you so very much for such a memorable experience. Cheers to all!

The Olea Hotel is one of our family’s favorite getaway from San Francisco. The hotel is nestled in the hills of Glenn Ellen & a 10 mins walk to all the local restaurants on Arnold Dr (the quaint historic downtown). The hotel offers complimentary wine & non-alcoholic drinks along with fruit & snacks in the lobby & your room upon arrival. The staff is friendly & helpful. The lobby has a dozen games that we love to play with our kids (Game of Life is our fav! ). They also have wine tasting discounts so be sure to grab some before you make your way through wine country! The rooms are clean & green. The amenities are natural without toxic chemicals. Our kids love the fit pit & hot tub at night. We love the serenity. Ask for a blow up bed for your children if you bring them so you can enjoy the king size luxury beds! The bathrooms have luxury showers and heated floors as well. The three course breakfast is worth the wait as everything is made from scratch & absolutely sinful. We started with fresh apricot scones, granola & yoghurt. The second course comprised of berries, homemade jam & a savory biscuit. The last course included scrambled eggs with lamb, mint yoghurt topping & almond crusted french toast topped with juicy strawberries. Check-out is 11:30 so you can enjoy the gardens before you set off to explore the beautiful valley. We can’t wait to come back — thank you for these last memories Team Olea!

Comfortable room, amazing shower heads, soft towels, super breakfast, lovely and attentive staff.

A lot of times you stay at a quiet, quaint place and it feels a little run down. This isn't that place. The people here take great care of the property and the people that stay with them. My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages on our honeymoon and would absolutely go back again. No complaints from either of us.

Nice layout of room. Rooms have heated bathroom. Towels were soft. Pillows were soft. Free snacks. Free wine and drinks in the lobby. Breakfast was the real highlight. Sit down 2 course but feels more like 3 course. Staff was nice. Very welcoming. Negatives are the thin walls and my SO did not liked the bed. Oh, did I mention you get a complimentary Sonoma wine passport. Would be closer to 4.5 stars cause of all the perks.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The location, the friendly staff, the gourmet breakfasts, the amenities (including the comfy bed and linens). This place is a gem and we can't wait to return.

This place was great! The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, and they made extra accommodation for my electric vehicle. I highly recommend staying here for a taste of rural Sonoma.

Absolute perfection from start to finish. We visited Olea on a weekend trip from our home in SF and it delivered on every front. Breakfast was gorgeous, scrumptious, and filling. The hot tub was beautifully set and nicely heated (+ open 24 hours! ). They even went above and beyond with free wine and chocolate for my girlfriend (it was her birthday). We will undoubtedly be visiting again and recommending it to our friends/family.

My husband and I stayed at Olea Hotel last year, twice. We had a very good experience and can't wait for the next occasion to go back. The landscaping of the property is beautiful: they did a very good job maintaining existing plants and trees (they have fruit trees too! ) without making it look too manicured. The room was so clean, well furnished with good taste and full of modern amenities, but not over the top. It's a modern boutique hotel that respects the beauty of the surrounding Sonoma wine country. They have a special multi course breakfast prepared by a local chef every morning. They have pastries and yogurts, but again the main breakfasts served at the table is decadent and delicious! The customer service of the staff was impeccable as well. One of the times we were there with our 6 months old at the time and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The staff suggested a great little dining place int he mini town of Glen Ellen and that was a very good find.

Love this place! Stayed here two times now; I loved it so much, I had to go back. The grounds are well kept. The recently remodeled rooms are beyond comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is great — nearly in downtown Glen Ellen — it is very near great wineries, excellent restaurants, and plenty of beautiful scenery. The breakfast is incredible, you will think about it for the rest of the day and set your alarm every morning to make sure you don't miss it. One warning, and they indicate this on the website, check the race schedule at Infineon before you pick your route to get there or you may find yourself sitting in traffic for what seems like an eternity. Highly recommended.

My wife and I spent our anniversary at Olea and had a wonderful experience. The room was appointed with very nice furnishings and it was hard to leave the bathroom given the heated floors, soaking tub, rain shower, and great bath products! The staff were very nice and helped recommend a great dinner spot to celebrate our special occasion. The hotel is very close to great food and wineries. What was unforgettable about our stay was the three-course breakfast. From the delicious homemade scones to the fruit tart and the breakfast pizza, we devoured everything. We even got to meet the chef Khambay who was so nice. Overall a WONDERFUL getaway and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful boutique hotel, beautiful grounds, excellent food/hospitality. However. During breakfast my colleague's chair broke in half as she pushed it backwards to get up and she fell on her back and neck into the table next to us. She has soreness in her wrist and back. Not good. THEN we returned to our room where the water had been turned off. We inquired at the front desk and they said, "Oh yes, there won't be any water for 15 minutes. " — No notice and no apology. Very inconvenient. For $300/night we won't be returning. Disappointed.

My wife and I spent four days at the Olea Hotel and had a fantastic stay. Our room was clean and quiet with a great view out to the mountains and a semi private lounge space. It also had those little high end details you always look for including a rainfall shower head and heated floors in the bathroom. Olea also provided a rotating plated gourmet breakfast each morning that made you never consider leaving the hotel for breakfast and wine / desert tasting each night. Both of these treats were very social in nature and led us to meet other people staying at the hotel. The hotel is very much the boutique style hotel so only had 10 or so rooms. This allowed us and the staff to get to know each other on a first name basis. Made us feel like we were staying with friends. It goes without saying but I must say it… We were spoiled and can’t wait to return.
