Great food. I had the sixteen dollar burger. Would recommend. Service was okay. The tasting room was friendly and wines were great (but I'm not an expert). You have to buy tickets outside before you enter room. There was a promo for a free extra tasting. I appreciate how the server gave recs on other wineries as well.

Came in on a Monday and the service every step of the way was phenomenal. The staff was helpful and considerate. What ever my guest or I needed, they provided. The wine tasting was insightful. Ruth was awesome. Jack at the front desk drove me to other wineries at my request. This place is a grand vacation spot. Oh yeah, and the pool area is magnificent. Zen and relaxing.

Parking for event was relatively straightforward. Food service was so so… plates were not cleared. My special plate was served late. Beyond this, SCW has a great restaurant and bar. I highly recommend their Merlot rose.

This place is beautiful. I went to South Coast Winery for wine tasting and eating at the restaurant. The food and wine were amazing! If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely visit again.

Amazing winery and hotel, great place to spend a few days unwinding and relaxing. Walking around and enjoying the spectacular views is a great way to spend an afternoon. The restaurant has some great meal choices and a pleasant environment. Highly recommend staying here, even if you are going to visit other wineries.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They'll definitely guide you to the right wine if you have questions. You can buy bottles/glasses/tastings and just sit outside in the gazebo or in the tasting room.

Family, friends, and I went wine tasting. We became members at this winery about 2 years ago. We go quarterly. Winery is massive. The biggest in Temecula. It has been voted best winery in California 4 out of the last 5 years.

Great selection of wine. Their staff is very friendly and their bottles are extremely affordable. They close at 6pm so if you are looking to have a good time get there around 1 or 2pm the latest. Also, strongly suggest you get cheese and crackers elsewhere, their selection is very small.

We had an amazing stay! Staff was professional, friendly, and very helpful. We stayed in a villa, which was extremely comfortable. We had a great time at the wine tasting, and were recommended an off-menu wine that we ended up purchasing. Overall we loved our time there and would definitely stay again!

I Love South coast winery! It is a Great hotel with a pool, spa, jacuzzi, and a lot of wine. The View is so incredible. The restaurant There is good, but only I was There by happy hour. There are two weddings when I hosted There and they both look fantastic. My room was the Villa. Preferemos because more privacy.

I was there for wine tasting with a group of friends. Friendly service, their wine tastes great. We were able to go around and see the wine making process. Definitely coming back for their wine!

Such a beautiful piece of property! I loved every romantic min of my stay there. I would highly reccomend it it to my friends. I will remember my stay there for the rest of my life! Thank you for making my weekend with my husband so special.

It was super clean and the food was amazing. Not super cheap but if it's worth it. I recommend it very much.

Stayed for one night in a villa at South Coast. The villa was very nice with a lot of space and privacy. Having a gas fireplace and a huge bathroom were especially nice. The location was great for getting to things like other wineries and the casino nearby. The one negative was how packed and crazy the tasting room was at the actual winery. Was at too busy to enjoy trying the wines.

South Coast Winery & Carter Estate Winery have great wine. I visited South Coast for wine tasting and had a great time. This place is in demand so there was a large crowd. Later I went to its sister property Carter Estate Winery and received a much more intimate walk though tasting. I liked both environments and will return.

Great weekend getaway. If you need a dinner reservation ask the front desk to make it for you. I spent seven minutes on hold through their phone reservation system while my husband went down to ask the front desk. I was still on hold when he got back, reservation made. All rooms are great. We booked ours through a third party discount app. I’m used to getting the least desirable room when we do that. But even though we had a second floor smaller room (according to the floor map near the door for fire escape routes) it was still fabulous. We occasionally heard the people upstairs walking around, but generally it was really quiet. All the rooms seem to have the large soaking tub and separate shower, balconies or patio, fireplaces, etc. Oh the fireplace is really fake though. Think of it more like a decorative item that looks like fire. Love the energy saving trick that requires you to leave your key in a little box inside the door to have the lights on. Remove the keycard and all the lights turn off, energy saved.

I booked the hotel since I was attending a seminar nearby and from the start was impressed with the grounds and the overall peacefulness of the place. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with a balcony overlooking a vineyard. The spa was right behind my building and a little walk took me to the restaurant and wine tasting room. The restaurant was very elegant and the food delicious. I highly recommend the chilaquiles for breakfast. I did some wine tasting and have to agree the reds were my favorite (have read some previous reviews). I also got pampered at the spa, which had complimentary wine with each treatment! Overall, this was a wonderful experience and something I hope I can repeat in the near future!

I have dinner here once a year after a week in CA for work. The food is amazing! The pork chop, potatoes, green beans, and applesauce dinner option is something I rave about all year. I'm not a wine drinker but the others in my group really enjoy it. Great place for an upscale dinner. The amostshpere is dressy casual. I wore nice jeans and blouse. Others in my group were jeans and collared shirt. Other guests ranged from nice jeans to dresser outfits.

The winery is a great place for a relaxing stroll! The tasting was a very memorable experience, and at only $15 per person from Monday to Friday, what a bargain! The selection of wines was quite vast and varied, and there is plenty of room to move about both indoors and out. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Temecula Valley.

It was a weekend. The Tasting Room was very busy. Fortunately we had members with us and we were able to access their exclusive area. That was still busy but not nearly as crowded. They have many selections including sparkling wines available for tasting. Overall we enjoyed a great deal of the product available. Not sure if you would have the same selection if you were in the main Tasting Room.

I took my sister from Chicago here while she visited me this past May and we both loved it. I am new here so still exploring the areas and all its many offerings. We ordered the cheese plate and the wine flights for 2 and that is the smartest thing to have on your menu! It made it so easy and effortless to choose and we thoroughly enjoyed them immensely both (and we are picky). I would say the reason it did not get 5/5 was because we ordered a dessert and the dessert was straight up made with cool whip and I know how much cool whip costs so do not know what happened here but the dessert left me unimpressed… Our waitresses were awesome and took such good care of us and we still had a lovely evening despite the dessert falling flat. We will definitely be back again for the wine and cheeses plate.

If you like more selection of younger, refreshing and fruitier tasting wines, this is the place. If you want reserve wines, you will be referred to go to their sister winery in Carter Estates across the street. South Coast gives you five tastes for $18. You must first purchase a tasting ticket at the register near the main entrance. They have a decent amount of sparkling, white, reds, rose and sweet wines. Their tasting bar is huge but half of them were open when we arrived since it was Tuesday on the same week as Thanksgiving. The staff was knowledgeable with the questions my wife asked them and what wines I was looking for. We were able to split a tasting together. We were able to enjoying our tasting outside too. We just had to walk in each time we wanted another taste. My wife ended up buying a couple bottles while I went out empty handed. I like reserve wines better. Good wines though!

SCWR&S was a good experience overall. We were upgraded from the tower to a villa without being asked, which was fine. The villa rooms are nice, plenty of space. We received a free bottle of wine, which was a nice perk. Sadly, housekeeping seems to have been short-staffed or the hotel over-booked, so they didn't refresh our room, even after I called the front desk mid-day and asked about the timing of the housekeeping rounds at the villas. When we returned in the evening we called the front desk to get more towels and coffee delivered, so we didn't have any problems, but after being assured that they would refresh the room it was disappointing that they didn't. We didn't get an apology or explanation, either. I feel bad about leaving a less-than-five rating, as I know that bonuses and so forth are sometimes dependant on ratings (I used to work at a RC hotel). I didn't feel like anybody was going out of their way to answer my questions or surpass my expectations, though, so I guess they'll be satisfied with a four.

The room we booked was luxurious to say the least! The staff was friendly and the food was great! They also know their wines. We had a Riesling, a Merlot, and their sparkling wine, and all of them were delicious. I would definitely come back!

This place was gorgeous. I came here with friends for a wine tasting, and I had such a wonderful time. The wine selection was amazing, and they had live music which improved the mood of the room.

I was at the winery for a birthday celebration. There were 8 of us total and when we arrived they had the reservation for 2. The staff were quick to address the issue and were seated soon after. The wait staff were attentive and the glass water was always full. The food took time to come out but it was okay for us as we were deep in good conversation. The food was very good and our group ordered as follows: steak and eggs, pesto pasta, grilled salmon, chillaquiles, clam chowder soup, and salads. Everyone was satisfied with their meals. I would return.

The location is a bit away from the freeway, but that's what makes it so great! I enjoyed a comfortable room with my significant other and woke up both mornings to crispy fresh air and with little to no noise. Staff was friendly and kind. We went to the nearby town center to enjoy a meal and a movie. Very much recommended for couples looking to get away and enjoy a bit of quiet.

South Coast was such a nice experience. My friends and I decided to hold my friends bachelorette day there. We rented out a Cabana at a reasonable price. The employees were nice and kept the area clean. Would totally go back again.

South Coast Winery is a perfect example of what happens to businesses when they expand so much and are not managed properly causing organizational dysfunction. Let me start out with this review by saying I paid close to $700 for a two night stay at this hotel and I say hotel because its far from being a resort. The reason I share the price I paid is to shed some perspective into the experience one is to reasonably expect when paying so much. The juicy part of the review is at the end. Customer Service Overall: EPIC FAIL! So I get up in the morning and walk around the grounds. I run into a tasting room. I walk in as the hours are posted and its not busy at all. Pretty much dead. I approach the bar and it takes 5-10 minutes to have a gentlemen who was pouring approach me. He asks, "Are you here to pick up a shipment? " I tell him no that I was staying at the property and just wanted to do a tasting. He responds that the tasting room I was in was for club members only and that I would have to walk around to the front of the property (a long walk I will say) in order to taste. Now the problem I have is this… I get it I was in the wine club members only tasting room my bad. However, from a customer service stand point, the club members tasting room was dead, you weren't doing anything and you knew I was an overnight guest so why wouldn't you just pour me a darn tasting and maybe convince me to join the club as I probably would have if I liked the wines.

This review is only about the wine tasting. This was my second visit here and both times were great. The service was great and the server had nice recommendations. Overall the wine was better here than the other vineyards I visited after. $22 for 5 tastings (I'd estimate 2-3oz pours).

Loved our trip to our South Coast. We were greeted and taken care of in the tasting room by Bryan. His service and hospitality was exceptional. By his recommendations we tried several wines that we normally would have not been sure about and actually ended up leaving after purchasing 5 bottles! We will return soon! Thank you!

The villas are a bit dated but extremely nice. Fireplace, patio, enclosed shower, jacuzzi, den, and breakfast area with a king size bed. Excellent service — they know you by name. Sarah gave us a wonderful wine tour and tasting. One of the better vineyards in the area. Would stay again.

My wife and I visited South Coast Winery for a wine tasting. Great wine and atmosphere, the guy serving us was very friendly and helpful. The room is pretty small and can get warm & loud, but overall a great place. The wine is great.

Just went for a quick wine tasting. Had a great time. Definitely do the member thing. It's worth it just for being able to taste in the less busy room downstairs. Enjoyed everything I tasted.

Went to the restaurant and was very impressed with the service. We ordered the Burrito, Pancakes, Calamari, Burger. Everything was presented well and tasted really good. I had their burger with a blood orange wit. The host was very respectful and curious. I'd definitely go back again and maybe even rent a room!

Location is great but do ask to get a room far from the road and the restaurant (because of the wedding receptions). We were told it would not be noisy at all… not true. Villa is pretty nice (cute little patio overseeing grape vines) and roomy. We did however have an issue with the shower and staff was more or less helpful. Pool area is nice and perfect for a drink.

I went to brunch and spa at South Coast Winery. The brunch was yummy and perfect portions, not the super huge American size. My massage was amazing. I got the 50 minute body massage and my therapist was great. Asked me for areas of concern and worked on those the most.

Dinner was amazing. Wine was good, service was great. Everything is expensive, but that's the norm in wine country. At least this place delivers in quality and service.

South Coast Winery was absolutely gorgeous on the outside, flowers line the whole front of it and their water fountains add a nice little touch of elegance, which is something it sure doesn't lack. The reason for my visit was just to eat at their restaurant and the food was very good, and not overpriced in my opinion. I had their Chardonnay as well, which we just had to buy the bottle, as the glass wasn't enough. I definitely would love to go back there, I feel like there is so much more to South Coast that I probably missed!

We really enjoyed the wine tasting and purchased two wonderful bottles of wine for later. Our lunch was also great with exceptional service in all areas. We will definitely be back.

We came for our 10 yr wedding anniversary and have had a wonderful time. The staff makes you feel incredibly special and the food is delicious! We will definitely buy several bottles of wine as well. Worth the price.

Looks like a casino, despite the fact that this small, I had no problems to enter and exit!

I attended a educational convention that was being held at the resort. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful when we needed help finding which room our sessions were being held in. We had the best lunch imaginable! The way they presented our lunch and snacks was very elegant. Our only issue was at lunch when we found tables and we had more in our party than seats, a staff member told us they would go and get folding chairs for us and they never returned. There were almost too many people in our convention for the location. Two of our sessions had standing room only. The presenters were only expecting about 20 people and we easily had double that number, but I wasn't sure if that was our convention issue or the resort's issue as we didn't have to pre-register for our sessions.

South Coast Winery is absolutely gorgeous. A friend and I enjoyed a massage and pedicure at the GrapeSeed Spa. We were treated fabulously and were beyond impressed with all of the amenities. We were able to enjoy lunch and a glass of wine by the pool after our services. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back!

South Coast is a worthwhile stop while touring Temeculah. Their latest offerings are somewhat juggish but the reliable standbys are still quite nice. I recommend the Sparkling Pino Grigio for a not-too sweet everyday sparkling. Alas, their wine club has become a horrible mess, offering only two tastings every quarter. The resturant is passable and the bungalows quite nice.

The wine was delicious, all of it. Nice spacious tasting room. I didn't feel like I had to elbow my way into a spot like some of the other wineries. The employees were very kind and helpful. Gave lots of great suggestions and taught me a lot about wine and the winemaking process. We had a fun time.

The first thing you notice when driving up to this great winery is the huge parking lot which made it easy for us to find parking. Walking to the main entrance, the walkway is romantically decorated with lights and floral vines that go overhead. Upon entering the main entrance, the cashiers are to the left and the big tasting room is to the right. There is also an outdoor balcony for those cool summer nights. In the tasting room, there is plenty of room to stand and the place is decorated very nicely. A couple walls have all their ribbons and medals that various wines have won which says alot about the taste and quality of their wines. We were helped by Massi who is the man! Although we got there late we were well taken care of. He was very knowledgeable about the wines and knew which ones to pour to satisfy our different preferences. He answered all the questions we had and didn't rush us. We were very happy with our experience thanks to Massi. We also found out he was trained by one of our favorite people! They have a huge wine selection varying from sweets to reds suitable for anyone's taste buds. We were able to try some of the best ones they had. My girlfriend loves their sweet wines and their reds are delicious. We definitely will be back soon!

We just had dinner at the resturant, but the environment exceeded our expectations. Food was great and they had my favorite beer from a local Temecula. Rewery too which was a great surprise. The waitress forgot what we ordered for dinner, but apologized and my wife ordered a drink which was forgotten as well, but the overall experience was great. Make sure not to show up too early with reservations unless it's a busy night, we waited longer than guests just showing up without reservations.

The rooms at South coast winery were very nice. My now wife and I stayed here the night of our wedding. When I had called to make a reservation, I had told the front desk that it was my wedding night, and anything their staff could do to make our night special would be greatly appreciated! A generic congratulation card was left, no quote the grand gesture I was hoping for. I would not recommend this hotel for a special occasion, however it was a very nice hotel!

I drove down to the winery from orange. I told the lady at the wine shop that I needed to buy at least 6 caes, and i'd need to taste the wine a little bit. And she told me to buy a taste ticket. I was very shocked by the way they do business now. I used to come to this winery twice a year and buy a few cases each time. I could always taste the wine I wanted to buy. I wasn't taking about a few bottles, it was some cases and I wanted to make sure the wine would taste well before I paid for it. Even yogurt land or teriyaki chicken would let you try some samples before you order. After being a loyal customer for these years, I guess I am just so disappointed at this winery now. No more.

South Coast was a fantastic place for my wife and I to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The location was great, the villa we stayed in was very private, and the wine/food was nothing but spectacular. We did encounter one bump while we were there at no fault of the resort. My wife and I decided to come up on our motorcycle to make the trip "that much more memorable". Well, we got what we asked for. As luck would have it the morning we were getting ready to leave the bike wouldn't start. I called up the front office for some assistance and they sent Chris Rasmussen to help out. He was extremely helpful in getting any tools we needed, trying to jump the bike and at the end actually driving us around town to pick up a new battery. Chris made the entire morning seamless. He knew where to go to pick up a battery, and couldn't have been anymore accommodating. Thanks to Chris and the resort for the great memories. We will definitely be back!

The new carter estate location is very very cool. Great pool area with food service. Very relaxing rooms with beautiful views. The experience is truly the way they advertise. Super comfortable beds! Great job. One detail they need to be better at is setting up the table when you order room service.

This the best Winery very clean they have nice restaurant and hotel very organized and the people here are nice.

South Coast Winery Resort in Temecula was one of the worst experiences of my life! "NIGHTMARE! " I scheduled a room at South Coast Months in Advance because I was planning my proposal to my girlfriend. When the day of came, they made me drive up early to do paperwork so I had to make up an excuse, but that's not even the big deal. The big deal was when I got there they explained they gave my room away and over booked and they had to move me rooms. Non of this wouldn't have been a big deal, except for the fact I rented 12 Rooms for guest and 1 for my girlfriend and I. All our family had flown in from all over, it was a nightmare considering the HIGH cost $$$$$ of this venue! We have NEVER been treated so bad before by anyplace. The issue here is NOT the venue, the issue is their unhappy employees horrible attitudes and Complete lack of Customer Service! To top it all off, durring check out they charged. E $150.00 for having my small Maltese Service animal that I carry a card for. I made them aware months in advance of the dog since she was in the proposal, she carried the ring. They said they do not except those medical cards, and that's illigal! Trust me, beautiful country, great idea to go out have fun and visit the area but trust me. Book your stay w/ a small family owned winery instead.

I'm writing review for their breakfast at the restaurant. This place is definitely worth visiting for their beautiful surroundings. Sitting outside is preferred so that you can enjoy the view. Perfect place to just relax and enjoy the lazy morning. I ordered their breakfast with typical scrambled egg, hashbrown, and bacon. Everything was prepared well, where both hashbrown and bracons were nice and crspy. The only down side was that they seem to prepare these items in advance, probably a part of their breakfast buffet or brunch items. The food was rather cold. Other than that, I tried their season fruits, which were delicious and their something banana pancake. Their pancakes were thick, fluffy and wonderfully sweetened. Overall, our breakfast experience was good.

Went here to taste wines on a recommendation from another associate at my workplace. I enjoyed the tastings, the red blend (called angry wife or something) was my favorite. I enjoyed the décor as well. Chatting with others about their preferences was awesome as well. I can see this place being an awesome romantic getaway for newlyweds or for people celebrating their anniversary. Its on the east side of Temecula where its very pretty.

I DJ'd a wedding in December at South Coast Winery and it was a very nice venue. I really like the grounds and atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful too! I recommend you check them out for your next wedding or event.

A review? You say you want a review? It's South Coast Winery Resort and Spa! They dont need a review. They're throwing a party every day. Everyone is there! It may be the next best thing after God's grace! Just kidding; we love it there though.

Hands down the best service I've had in Temecula. The guy who gave us the tasting was really nice and attentive. He made time to talk about the wine and even gave us some extra wines to taste because we were celebrating my sisters birthday. Tasting: $15, he asked us what kind of wine we liked and gave us the ones we may like. I bought the sweet white wine for my cousin that had a hint of lychee. My sister loved the red cab, which was really smooth. (Sorry I'm bad with remembering the names). If we are in Temecula again, we will most likely be back.

Very impressed with their wines. I have tasted many wines but this place is the best! It is no wonder they have so many awards. The staff is also very welcoming, knowledgeable, and enjoy what they do which sometimes makes all the difference.

Came to see Joe Nichols with my father while visiting all of the way from Michigan. My father bought the most expensive tickets possible with the hopes of having great seats got here early only to find that we couldn't even see the stage! The general admission seats which where half of the price had a perfect view of the stage! I will never visit this venue again.

I have stayed at a lot of hotels around the world, everything from the motel 6's to the 5 diamond resorts and none of them have ever treated me like they did by locking me out of my room and not having enough staff to help me at the front desk within a reasonable time. I think waiting at the front counter to get a key for 25 minutes is unacceptable. I will never go back nor will I ever recommend anyone else to go there. We were locked out of our room because we decided to go for a walk before we checked out. Have never felt so violated and embarrassed as I did that day in front of 2 other couples who were with us on our recommendation. This happened over a year ago and i'm still shocked at the way we treated by the staff. Okay, I'll start from the beginning. Some of our friends and us decided to go to SC Winery because I had been there once before and enjoyed the whole experience, especially the balloon ride. I made the reservation for 3 rooms, one night stay. We got up in the morning early went for the balloon ride, got back, had breakfast strolled around the grounds tried to get a massage for the wifes, all booked (good for the resort, they were full, no more availability). Went back to our room and decided to go for a walk before checking out. I called the front desk to let them know that we will check out once we return from our walk. All seemed well. We had our our "do no disturb" sign on the door and the maids went in anyways.

They really don't appreciate their customers. We came in at 5:30 for happy hour just to check the place out. Happy hour menu on the table, we decided that two of the munchies sounded good, but were then told happy hour was over. "No, we can't even provide the loaded potato chips since it is now after 5:30. ". We were waiting to go to a wedding rehearsal dinner an hour later, and this would have been a good chance at gaining our attention, and perhaps we would book at the hotel in the future. Not a chance, it's very clear that this establishment doesn't care one whit for customers. We will never return. But it did provide me with a great example of what not to do for my customer experience consulting business and public speaking engagements.
