The room is quite old, the counter staff moves slowly, no elevator; the only satisfaction is the breakfast of lemon ginger tea, cold weather to a great cup.

Very nice and clean rooms/ bathrooms. Kinda old but not broken down. Close to supermarket and Peets coffee — — walking distance. Pool is small but clean and heated. Porch is really small and every one has a bright light on it. A bit obnoxious! Staff is courteous and helpful. No elevators. Good parking. Beach is 20 minute walk or 5-10 minute drive. Shuttle pick up is close. Will recommend to others. Very close to hospital where I work. Smoking area is ok with tables and chairs but needs some beautification.

Kinda of in a secluded area (so follow the map directions) which isn't a bad thing. Very nice, friendly staff, great breakfast selection, the rooms are nice, they are in the process of upgrading. Heated pool. Close enough to the Santa Cruz attractions but far enough away from the riff raff. We will stay here again when we are back in the area in September.

Very nice hotel. Down the street from everything. Room was new, very clean, and very spacious with it's own balcony. Would definitely stay here again!

Very pleasant Hotel experience. Pedro at the front desk was professionally helpful from the initial call to check in. The location is lovely surrounded by trees on a little hill with an expansive lawn offering seating areas. Sunlit hallways to the nicely appointed rooms. The rooms are very clean and everything smells clean and fresh. The beds are completely comfortable and the linens of good quality. The rooms have small patios to add that extra touch. There is a pool for the guests. Free breakfast offered is quite plentiful, with something for everyone. The most fun was making your own waffles. There was cereal, fruit, eggs, potatoes, sausages, juices and coffee. Oh, and did I mention the waffles? Plenty of butter, syrup and condiments of course. I found this location to be centrally located to many of the things that draw you to Santa Cruz in the first place. It is close to Nicene Marks Redwood forest as well as Henry Cowell redwood forest it is close to the famous Santa Cruz Pier and Boardwalk, the quaint Beach towns of Aptos and Capitola. Nice hotel in a good location.

This hotel is just like home for a tired traveler: comfortable accommodation, quiet setting, great location for Santa Cruz county destinations and, most importantly, absolutely wonderful staff. Also, very reasonable rates. Great place to stay!

Check in was quick and easy. Room was nice and clean. Gayle's is close by a santa cruz favorite.

This is a very clean basic no-frills hotel. Breakfast was more than just cinnamon rolls and hot coffee that was a bonus. Very quiet, would stay there again.

Clean and quiet rooms with a cool little patio. Rates werent bad and breakfast is included.

This is a joint review with the Shadowbrook Restaurant, because these two beauties have a complimentary taxi service that shuttles you between then both. Couldn't have made me any happier. Large rooms, quiet spaces, extremely clean, friendly staff who are also very helpful, and the most comfortable beds! What more could you want or need?! It was great. Just great.

Great front desk guy, horrible curry smell in the front building. The only way the beds could be worse is if they were made of spikes. Then the crappy continental breakfast ended at 10. Don't get there at 10:02! Never again.

Stayed overnight for a wrestling tournament at Aptos High… the only complaint I have is they lock the office door and I needed a hot chocolate at 6am and I couldn't … other than night no complaints. Very nice lady that checked us all in!

Loved it. Travel a lot. Great value,. Comfortable. Clean. Quaint. Great staff! They need turkey sausages instead of that darn swine. I will visit this location again, although I generally stay at 4-5 Star hotels. We planned to stay only one night. We checked out drove a couple of hours away and decided to return because we liked the hotel and town. Checked out the second day only to return for a third night. After three nights we finally moved on to San Francisco where we stayed one night at a 4 or 5-star hotel at $600 per night and so much more enjoyed our three night stay — except for the darn pork!

Nice place for the price. Seemed to be very clean and cozy. Had all the essentials. Only dislike is the fact that it is right off the freeway and you can hear traffic from inside the rooms if you are in that section of the hotel.

If you are looking for friendly service and a comfortable relaxing stay that feels like home away from home, this is the place. Nice private location without traffic noise and perfect place for great restaurants within walking distance. Its about four blocks to the ocean and the best bakery in town is down the street.

Everything was ok. Not great but ok. Room was clean. Appreciated that. Breakfast was typical.

Average franchisee of Quality Inn. Complimentary hot breakfast had hard boiled eggs and self-made waffles in a small eating area. Lobby is not open 24/7 but they do respond to calls. No additional card key security for the each of the buildings giving it a converted apartment feel and same with the in-unit A/C. Parking lot is newly resurfaced. Pool is smaller than the pictures.

We stayed 3 nights. It looked like part of the hotel had been remodeled. Unfortunately we stayed in bldg 3 on the top floor which was still waiting to be remodeled. The bed was pretty good. The carpet was old and dirty. The bathroom way too small. The hot water was a hit and miss. They don't provide any xtra pillows, and no movie channels on the tv. Mt husband enjoyed the breakfast. Oh, and if you're disabled you're out of luck. There is no elevator to 2nd floor. You're on your own to climb 3 flight of stairs.

3 Pros: Nice place and location, its next to the stores. Nearby the beach and things to do around. Cons: But because we didn't really had a great night sleep the mattress was really hard on our back, the next day our lower back was sore and pain. The shower was weak and the water didn't reached the hot temperature at all.

Nice room with a small patio (a nice surprise). Huge washrooms, fridge, etc. What you would expect from comfort suites chain.

Clean, microwave and refrigerator. Breakfast was good except the eggs. Some sort of scramble but the egg whites are not mixed.

Pleasant clerks. Clean facility with some construction in parking lots. Room was comfortable but there were several wall blemishes needing patching and painting. Shower grout needed attention. Shower head needed to be replaced. Courtyard design was pleasing. Hot complimentary breakfast was very good. Nice neighborhood near shopping.

We are staying in a big suite for a bachelorette party weekend. The rooms aren't super big but they are nicely equipped. They have fridges and microwaves, but unfortunately, only 1 shower when the 2 bathrooms can clearly accommodate 2. The customer service isn't the best. We called down to the front desk to ask for an extra set of sheets and were denied because it was too late at night. We asked for extra towels the next morning because we had 8 in the room and were only provided 4 to start. They never came. So overall the location is convenient and the rooms are clean, but the customer service is a little lacking.

Overall a fairly nice hotel. The rooms were great; all the furniture was very comfortable with plenty of outlets and a modern TV. I also really enjoyed the balcony. The free breakfast was excellent. The Wi-Fi was fast, but I had some trouble finding the password. The exterior of the hotel could use a bit of work, however. There were some broken chairs and trash on the ground near the main office. Overall, I liked this hotel and would stay here again.

They are in the middle of redoing some things. New furniture, new flooring, The bathrooms need work. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. They have the right idea to fix this place up, it needs it.

I was surprised that for the rate we paid this is very nice. Rooms were clean and well stocked. A great nights sleep with friendly staff. The breakfast was pretty darned good as well.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was excellent and had its own balcony. The location is off the main road so traffic noise is minimal. Conveniently located close to restaurants with an excellent sushi bar just down the hill. A very strict no pets policy!

Stayed there for a bachelor party. Close to everything! Walked to Capitola down town. Uber'd to other bars, didn't break the bank on comfortable sleeping arrangements by staying here.

Closely located by capitola wharf and quaint town of soquel. Room set up is OK. Decent variety of breakfast offered. (Eggs, sausage, waffle, oat meal, yogurt, etc). We enjoyed the stay.

Just love Quality Inn in Capitola. The hotel is clean, updated, beautiful linens and rooms. The front desk is helpful, courteous, professional. This is our second year in a row staying here and I highly recommend it. Nancy.

Hotel was fine for our needs. The hotel could have been cleaner. They are renovating and painting. The guy at the front desk could have been more pleasant. It was clear he would have rather been somewhere else.

Stayed for one night. That was enough Pros: Nice staff. Clean, comfortable rooms with plenty of space. REAL high-speed connection (I got ~1.6mb) Cons: Just far enough from the beach, you don't want to walk. More expensive then a lot of hotels in the area, you get better for less at the Holiday inn. Very smoker unfriendly.

I have no complaints at all about this hotel. We stay here every Sept. For Labor Day weekend. We travel with our baby so the microwave and fridge makes is sooo convenient for our son. The rooms are up-to-date, nice, clean and quiet. The free breakfast are awesome. There are many many choices for breakfast. We only put are feet in the pool but it is heated and the hotel is walking distance to local shops.

They suck all together! Staff and their establishment.
