The Staff is friendly, professional and consistently committed to making our visits most enjoyable. Summer Williams is the manager and wedding event coordinator extraordinare. It truly is a magical place and we look forward to returning again soon!

It has such a beautiful outlook, you can walk into town along the beautiful cliff-side road.
The staff are absolutely lovely and were so helpful. We needed to get some laundry done and they were so accommodating. What a perfect location for a wedding!
It’s a quiet haven and we have stayed here 3 times — we are returning in the spring next year.

I love this place and have been going there since 97! My ONLY complaint is the mattresses are too soft. This is a big problem for even my healthy back, specially at 238. Would highly recommend staying there❤️

Very comfortable and enjoyable living quarters, plus a great view of the ocean if you are staying in the main part of the facility. The only downside is that the living arrangements are a bit dated.

Amazingly beautiful! The views are breathtaking. The rooms are spacious, clean and relaxing. 5 minute walk to the beach yet set in peaceful seclusion. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I love it. I would say it's definitely my favorite spot.

We stayed there a few years ago and I cannot believe I did not write a review. This place is beautifully located with an ocean view. They are pet friendly with a fee for your pet's stay like most places nowadays. We stayed in the Rose Garden Suite and it was lovely. Our breakfast was delicious and though we chose to dine out, there is a kitchen if you choose to buy food and dine in. The grounds are a nice area to take in the views. We came when the flowers were in bloom but not quite when the butterflies were around. The reason for the 4 stars is though the place is Victorian, some of the furnishings were just a tad dated. I realize this is a subjective comment.

What quaint, romantic room overlooking the bay. The view was to die for. The staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was brought to the room. Hearing the waves hit the beach was so serene. This was the best Valentine's Day ever!

A fantastic and comfortable place with amazing views. The bed was probably the softest I've ever been in and it was so quiet that it was almost unnerving for us as parents of three kids used to constant noise. And the view of the entire Monterey Bay (including actually being able to make out a building in Moss Landing) from our room was astounding. The only complaint I have (a small one) is that the breakfast didn't include meat (some sausage, bacon or ham would have been n…ice), but would say that it was otherwise tasty and filling. One additional non-complaint point: I have seen that of the few negative reviews, they mostly centered on the idea that this is an older place. It is an antique structure that dates well back and faces the humid, salty ocean air. But it is clean and well tended, much like a tidy antique table. If you're looking for ultra-modern chic, this place isn't for you and you should look elsewhere. But if you can appreciate a gorgeous set of structures in a place of pristine beauty that caters to comfort, peace, and customer service you can't do any better than this.

This place is great! Fancy old Victorian style bed and breakfast. The staff is friendly. Each room is unique and cool in it's own way. The views of the Monterey Bay are exceptional. We stayed in the Victorian Room and it has amazing bay windows that you can watch the bay from bed or the breakfast table. I highly recommend Monarch Cove Inn.

A wonderful and unique place to stay.

This place is a hidden treasure in a great location, and view of the ocean all the while feeling like you were in the mountains. Our room was just amazing with a private courtyard and Jaccuzi, not to mention it is in walking distance into town, maybe 10-15 minutes. Last of all the staff is extremely friendly and looking forward to another visit.

The views of the ocean were beautiful but the place is need of repair. There is mold, dust, dirt all over the rooms. The carpets is disgustingly dirty and the beds are rock hard. It priced way out of it's league. It should be more of a $120 a night place. The parking is terrible. Anthony McCurio would have a fit over this place. I can see with upgrades and repairs, this could be a wonderful place.

We stayed here with our whole family and it was such a blast! Adorable cottages, super comfy bed and a local breakfast! We had a great time and would stay again!

Beautiful place with wonderful views, up the street from the beach and great restaurants and shops. Good service, staff is friendly and breakfast was nice. Great hot showers, nice and quiet and private. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the bed was hard, not firm, but hard. Like lying on the floor hard. I would encourage the inn to get some soft pillow tops to go on the mattresses, or new mattresses.

This was a amazing place to stay with a pretty view nice staff … breakfast was great the whole experience was amazing will definitely be back would be a nice place to get married with the ocean in the back but to many trees actually blocking the actual view by over all check it out.

My wife and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary. This was our last stop on a week long trip that began in Phoenix, continued in Boulder City and Vegas, a visit to the Golden Gate and Sausalito, finishing here. We absolutely loved the place. The view is spectacular, our suite was perfect for our getaway. The continental breakfast delivered to the suite each morning at the exact time we arranged. We had an early flight out on Wednesday, they dropped off breakfast the night before. The customer service was great. My only complaint is that it's 3000 miles away and we can't return every year.

I have very much enjoyed staying here and now that my son is older, He asked me about this place because of his fond memories there. He and his girlfriend are going on there first road trip together and a tradition is brewing. I can't say enough nice things about this place.

Nice place, very romantic. You cannot choose your breakfast but it is served in your room, so it's pretty enjoyable. The bathroom is dated.

Nice location, but we had lots of problems here. Black mold in the shower for starters. I guess since I'm tall it allows me to see things shorter people can't, so I get to view little gems like that. The breakfast was not so hot and we ended up going out for breakfast. Not sure how they can charge this much for a place either especially in this condition. Ah well, not going here again.

A beautiful old world charm with ocean view and great garden. We felt relaxed as soon as we got in the garden area. Sunny Gables, a 2 BR suite was just awesome and welcoming. 3 of our grown up kids did not want to leave but they had to go home and to work next day. My wife felt so relaxed when we left the 3rd day. Met 2 very friendly staff. Marry made us feel welcome over the phone and then meeting her was a delight. Jacqueline was also friendly and showed us around. Oh yea the bed is very comfortable. Vp.

Overall average. Charming little bed and breakfast in Capitola. I stayed in the Ocean View room, which does have great views of the ocean. This place is located in a charming neighborhood and within walking distance to downtown Capitola, which is a small beach town that is fun, clean and full of cute shops and restaurants. They also bring free breakfast to your room, which is great service. Unfortunately, the breakfast is nondescript and not as good as Four Sisters Inns. The mattress was also worn out and the bathroom needed updating. Further, I could hear the footsteps of the guest (s) upstairs. They really should renovate or slash the prices to stay competitive, as I do wish them well and want to patronize them again. This place is advertised for weddings but because the lodging and grounds are quite small, this place would be comfortable for a small wedding of 50 guests or under. Even for a small wedding, guests may have to find parking off grounds and on residential streets.
