Cheapest hotel I could find in the neighborhood. Sheets had stains on them, beds weren't the best but good enough to sleep. The sheets and towels were pretty thin. Rooms were aged. I was expecting a basic room since it is a motel 6. In hindsight I would pay a bit more to sleep in a cleaner room.

We used this hotel as a “base” on our trip to Northern California. Just one night. Good service and clean. The room with two king size beds is a bit small (if you plan to stay more than two nights) no microwave. No fridge. No hair dryer. But in general quite well.

The room was great except for the toilet paper holder was too low. It got in the way, forcing me to sit sideways while on the toilet. Also, I didn't receive the wake up call that I requested. Other that, my stay there was great.

Easily one of the best Motel 6's I have stayed at with an affordable price. The receptionist was friendly and ready to be helpful as possible. I would not mind staying their again.

Easy check-in and check out. Very clean and friendly staff. Location very convenient. Walk to restaurants and bowling alley next door. Would come back to this location.

Really liked the beds, the mini frig. cons: super noisy (construction side : ( Horrible desk reception staff. Horrible. On check out the guy said that he would be right there to help me. I waited and waited and waited. The manager then walked in and he popped right up to the front to help me. So sad. Must be challenging to find workers with integrity.

There was absolutely no problem with the service. Nice people. However the pool was filled with trash, food wrappers bottles Etc. The room smelled terrible… old stale smoke and the floor left my daughter's feet black from dirt. The "queen" bed was toi small. It was quite expensive for what we got. Very dissapointed.

I left some very valuable jewelry behind and Isaac (front desk) checked with the cleaning staff and quickly responded that they found it. We retrieved it all and were extraordinarily pleased Yes, we gave a reward too of course!

The connection to the Internet was not very good. There was No refrigerator and microwave, but the rest was fine.

The rooms were clean but small and bed was bad. Bathroom had no room to put any of my things — unbelievably small. Also, there is literally no closet space. Not near anywhere to get a late night meal or even fast food nearby (9 pm). It would be good for a quick overnight stop, but be sure bring your own dinner if arriving late. Check out and go elsewhere for breakfast.

I found 2 cockroaches in the hotel.

I was entirely pleased. Room was clean, bed was fine, I liked the wood floor rather than carpet for the look and because it doesn't gather odor as much. Its small and next to the freeway, but if I wanted to pay another $100 a nite to stay at the Hyatt I could have. Most important to us, everything was clean, everything worked and by the way the coffee at the front desk was better than Starbucks daily roast. Seriously.

The location was centrally located and suited out needs perfectly. The staff was very helpful and were very attentive. We have no hesitation booking again. Our thanks to all.

It would have been a five but they are in the middle of a remodel so parking is a little tight. As always, a good clean room at a great price. The office staff was excellent.

I'm sorry BUT our stay was horrible. The bathtub was disgusting underneath the mat was totally filthy the sheets smell like musk they were rough they were horrible the pillows were horrible no iron no blow dryers the room was big enough for Barbie dolls to stay in. There were guests up at all hours making noise all through the night. It was a really bad experience and we will never be staying with you again. We could have spent 20 more dollars and stayed in a really nice hotel this was a bad move on our part and we learned a valuable lesson never stay with you guys again.

We got a good room on the second floor with a little dinner table/desk in the corner of the room with a booth fit for 2 people. I was pleased with the layout. The bathroom door was similar to a closet door that snaps shut — not the best barrier for privacy but it did the job. The only complaint was that it took a long time for the water heater to start for a shower!

A simple basic place not so luxurious but where you can get to rest.

Upon arriving I discovered two things that annoyed me: (1) Wifi access required an additional charge, and (2) all of our mobile devices' data signals were being blocked. I would have probably gone ahead and paid the Wi-Fi charges (even though at $100+/night it seems a bit nickle-and-dime) — but once I discovered they were willing to FORCE the issue, I instead decided to just check out early and never stay at a Motel 6 again.

The rooms are exactly as I expected — simple, clean, and well maintained. Isaac helped me at checkin and was great, he helped guide us to the local weather as well as places to eat, I couldn't have asked for more. Keep up the good hiring!

Fine. Room clean. Friendly service. Came in late on delayed plane, left early. Only issue was room smelled of bug spray and needed to be aired out … not what I wanted to do at 1 am.

You provide a minimum of amenities and that is what I expect in a budget motel. Prices under $60 in today's market, in my opinion, would be a budget price. I am nearly 80. I remember when Motel 6 WAS a budget motel. $120/night is not a budget price, even if it is the lowest of the national chain motels.

I love hotels and motels I go to them as small vacations all the time and motel 6 always has me comfortable in my stays. No bugs, very clean, big bath tub, next to stores and eating establishments. Even got to go to the bar next door at zoodos. I highly recommend motel 6!

First off it's one the most affordable motels in Santa barbara/Goleta. The location is perfect, with a bowling alley next door and a bunch of stores and restaurants within walking distance. The room is clean but basic. My only complaints is the some of the other tenants like to gather in groups and drink, and once u leave your room your assaulted by noise but it's a fairly minor issue in my book, as long as the room is quiet.

Good place to stay immediately prior to or after traveling through the Santa Barbara airport. My room was clean and the staff very nice. My room was quite small but perfect for a single night with one occupant.

Room was clean and conveniently located less than 2 miles from the airport. It was a perfect place to stay to catch an early morning flight out of Santa Barbara. The pool looked nice too, well kept.

Great customer service, but the hotel was kind of gross like most motel 6's. Condom wrappers outside the door, cigarette burns and creepy indentations of unkempt asses in the mattress and tub floor. Water was very hot in the tub but the sink only had cold water. No bed bugs! A/C worked okay. Didn't use the phone, the TV worked great plus had HBO.

Our stay in Motel 6 Goleta was satisfactory. The room had only one bed instead of the usual two, but it was just as comfortable as our previous stays.

It was a very clean and decent motel considering it was a motel 6! It was a $110 fee for one night. So yes it is a very pricey Motel 6. But its not loud and the staff is really respectful and nice! So overall I give it 4 stars!

First off, I'd like to mention that I understand this is a cheap Motel and not The Ritz, but for $150 a night I would prefer if I didn't have to step over black mold every time I needed to use the bathroom. Staff is friendly and personable. Parking is terrible and overall the place is dirty. 2/10. I would return if I was desperate.

Nicely upgraded room. Very comfortable. Large vehicles however took up two parking stalls. Made finding a place to park in your lot difficult.

This was very nice and good for the money in this area. I heard a lot road traffic but was able to sleep through it. The room was clean and the A/C worked.

We checked in and was assigned to room 138 then when we opened the door; the room was not clean. Dirty towels, trash, dirty floor, bad odor, etc. We went back and got a new room 222. There were 2 towels in the room and we used it at night so in the morning, I went to the front desk and asked for 2 more towels, the receptionist said no towels till 10:30 am. They are washing them right now. We had to postpone our hiking trip to later till we get the towels and shower. The receptionist got us $20 off! we should have not pay for the stay at all. It was terrible. We will never come back to stay here again with $210 per night and received this bad experience.

Super close to UCSB. Check in and check out was super easy and fast. Rooms were clean. I thought it was a little pricey for a no frills motel.

Very nice hotel with a swimming pool, a nice setting and very well equipped rooms! Nevertheless, it is a place quite far from the city of Santa Barbara and whose price is rather expensive for the night…

Stayed here before moving to Santa Barbara and it's like any other Motel 6. The price is expensive compared to your average Motel 6 but it's Santa Barbara where everything is twice the price. It's cheaper than the other hotels down the street which are several hundred a night. The location is nothing special but you are next to places to eat and shop.

As awful as usual. They have cigar mark all over the non-smoking room. The bed linen and the towel also feels like it needs to be replaced.

Stayed here over the weekend and had a great trip. The room was nice and clean. I'm used to larger rooms but since it was Santa Barbara I understood. The elevators were fast considering we were on the 29th floor. The shower did lack some water pressure but it wasn't bad. Overall it was a nice hotel and a nice pleasant stay. Oh, I did like the charging station on the table. Came equipped with plugs for virtually every device.

Stayed in the Santa Barbara area for a weekend. Decent motel considering the price. Staff was very friendly and informative. The rooms were on the cleaner side. Floor were some kind of laminate. It was clean, but felt like it needed a good mopping. Bathroom was clean, hotel didn't provide any shampoo, only soap. Luckly, there's an Albertsons, Wallgreens and CVS a across the street. Complimentary coffee in the registration office in the mornings.

When did Motel 6 become so expensive? $150/night and then charge for Wi-Fi? Especially in a college town? While the room looked modern, the bed was not very comfortable and the faux wood (or was it linoleum) flooring reverberated anything the upstairs occupants dropped. The savings grace was the staff was great and the room did have plenty of electrical outlets.

Great price. Located right next to Zodo's — best bowling alley/bar ever! There was no ice in the ice machine and the soda vending machine almost kept our soda. There was a dead bug in the corner of the bathroom. It almost seemed like people lived there… but the rooms were like studios so I guess that makes sense. Otherwise it was great for what we paid and the location. And while the rooms were not the best, it was obvious they were recently remodeled. I would definitely stay here again, but I also love Zodo's.

This is a terrible Motel 6. I've stayed here six times (I'm on a tight budget), and this past visit was unusually unpleasant. I made a reservation online and arrived at the motel, only to find that their system had registered me for the wrong date. The staff told me that there were no rooms available, despite my receipt indicating that I reserved a room in advance for the night I arrived. The staff were very rude, claiming that I must be lying. After two hours of arguing with the GM, they finally gave me a vacant room, which was of low quality; the shower was broken, there were no toiletries except a mostly-used roll of TP, the floors were caked with mud, and the linens were grimy and filled with pubic hairs. They charged me for the no-show, arguing that it wasn't their responsibility that the Motel 6 website was goofed up. I'll stay at La Quinta next time, which is much better and about the same as two nights here.

The room was ok. I booked online and they charged me more when I got there. They would not accept the deal the business I was working with had previously worked out with them either. The bed was a mattress on like a hard table. Could have just put the mattress on the floor. It was very hard and uncomfortable. Room was clean but not as modern as they advertise. The TV was mounted on the wall crooked. I went over to the Super8 after one night, better price plus free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. Can't get those at Motel6.

Place is extremely clean, area is convenient, staff is great. Great stay for the price. Stay at this Goleta location often. It is always clean, quiet and very friendly. JGreat discount motel, great price.

Come on it's a Motel 6, whats with the price, over $100.00. Definitely overpriced. The T. V. Didn't work well, the Wi-Fi kept dropping its signal. Next time I'm in the area I will spend a little more and get more.

None of the Motel 6's that I've stayed in offer shampoo, so it confuses me that people complain about that. The desk staff were wonderful. The room was clean and quiet. I was there on a Wednesday. There are alot of food places and a Trader Joe's down the street. Great value for me. I would stay again.

My husband and I checked in on Friday 12/13/13, As a motel 6 employee myself I look forward to rating other properties, as I have been in the hospitality bussiness for many years. I have to say I was very impressed with your staff. Ruben, Isaac and David were all very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet which was a surprise to me since it was next to the office I thought id hear some noise with guest checking and such. The only thing I can say that is even close to being negitive is that my remote was due for new batteries but other than that this property and its staff get a two thumbs up from me, Id give them more but I only have two lol. We are planning a trip to San Fransisco in the near futre and will be staying at Motel6 there I hope they can compare to the high standard your location has provided. Sincerly Leah Boas.
