This hotel's best feature is the proximity to the harbor. However, to get down there you have to walk on a pretty rocky path and through a parking lot and tunnel… not hotel property. And its pitch black at night. On our first night of arrival, the lady at the desk said it was safe… so my sister and I used it in the dark. She failed to mention the gate to get back in would not open with a hotel key after 9:30 p. M. (there was a little sign but we missed it in the dark). The next morning when it was light I went down again for coffee (alone) and saw a city worker picking up trash who said never EVER go on that path alone… that they have an issue with crime especially from the homeless population (! ) At this motel you can't get towels or blankets after 8:30 pm. Also the hairdryer looks like its from the 80s. The pool area is nice. The landscaping at the hotel is really pretty. I guess hotels in California are just super expensive… it was almost $200 a night.

5 stars because of the value for the quality of this hotel is great. Offers clean, non smoking/ no pet rooms, which I love. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pool area small but nice. Best part is a 10 minute to walk to beach. Free parking. Only negative is the rooms are situated right next to train tracks. If one is sensitive to noise it may be bothersome. I slept through most of it. Overall, this is an excellent value hotel near the beach.

I really enjoyed this hotel! I stayed for a few nights visiting my daughter in San Diego. This hotel is very close to all the major sites. The manager Nayan was very hospitable. The room was very clean. Will definitely return!

I had a great stay at Days Inn. Great location being its walking distance from the Harbor. Clean and friendly.

My 2 kids 10 & 7 & my wife loved it! Close to harbor, 5 min walk to harbor and 8 min walk to beach we went to sea world 30 mins away & legoland 15 mins away. Great weekend! Great breakfast lots of choices great customer service, we forgot toothbrushes & front desk gave us some! Would definitely be staying here again if we plan another trip to San Diego!

Just stayed there this past weekend it was a great stay rooms were clean all in all we will be staying their again. In fact we already booked our trip for September! Only bad thing was people smoking in rooms next to us and right out their door when it said no smoking! But reception handled it very well and very fast!

Good pricing! Close to the pier and beach. Lots to do around this location. Room service was great!

Room was musty. The king bed was two twin beds put together on a broken frame. The frame stuck out and I cut my leg on it. It's now infected and I had to take a trip to the hospital.

Everything has been great for my stay. I had a few small issues that were resolved very quickly. The room are clean and everything has been up to standard.

Hot tub has a low temp. Not much protein at beakfast. Staff pleasent.

The front desk clerk was extremely welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Quiet and comfortable accommodations.

Stayed there to visit my brother stationed at Camp Pendleton. Nice central location right next to base. Really enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Thin walls, but clean accomodations.

I booked my stay through Priceline, which was chesper than Days Inn website for King bed room. Got here with a last-minute extra person and needed 2 double beds. Days Inn charged me $20/night extra for the extra bed. Next day I noticed their website showed that it was only $10 a night extra not $20 a night extra for the extra bed. When I went to the manager to explain or ask why they charged me $20 and I extra instead of $10 in the extra they had no explanation for me and I am a repeat customer and I got no break and they could not explain why they charged me $20 when their website shows only $10

We love days inn when we go to Oceanside. We live in Las Vegas and in the summer we just need to get in the ocean once in a while and this motel is close enuf to walk to the beach. So we don't ever drive our car after we arrive. We eat at the harbor. So many restaurants to choose from. And the rooms are not expensive. Cheap get away, from the Vegas heat.

Checked into my non-smoking room which upon entry smelled nothing short of that someone had definitely smoked a pack or two in there. And then, not even two minutes into being in the room, I LITERALLY found a cockroach halfway inside the room just walking around. Rest of the room was musty and felt dirty as all get out. Would never recommend again.

Rooms are pretty good, breakfast not so much. The pool hours should be extended a bit. 9pm is too early to close a pool, especially when the hotel next door has their pool in sight and open later.

It served it's purpose. The towels are on the small side and our tenor didn't work. Slept great and the a/c either very well.

We rented the room for super cheap and were really happy with It! It was very spacious for two people and the bed was pretty comfortable. The front desk person was super nice and let us check in a few hours early which we appreciated. They provide a free continental breakfast that had coffee, cereal, muffins, bagels, toast, and yogurt. It's pretty close to the harbor you have to walk a little bit but it's not insanely far. I would definitely stay here again the only issue I had was I couldn't get the television to change channels but I probably was just doing something wrong…

This place is a lot nicer than I thought it would be. The outside isn't so inviting but the rooms are nice and all cleaned up. My favorite it how close it is to the harbor and beach. We walked down there and were able to relax. I really like it and would come her again.

Great little motel! I definitely recommend staying here. Clean and comfortable. I requested a room upstairs and was accommodated. Next time I would stay away from the stairwells. There's a lot of foot traffic as to be expected. But other than that it was quiet. Close to the harbor and freeway. Very little car noise. The only complaint is the internet was super slow and sometimes didn't work at all. It was a holiday weekend and probably sold out so I'm sure that had something to do with it.

The rooms are not too bad, affordable but the beds can be replaced as well as the microwave, location is pretty good parking however not so much, not very much around this area to do besidea eat and walk the beach, other than that its alright!

Rooms were affordable but appliances were outdated and room wasn't as big. King size bed was old, creaky and uncomfortable. Other then that room was clean and close to the beach and staff was very friendly and professional.

Good service nice room fair prices but the have roaches.

I just dropped off a friend there a few times and only saw the outside. The jacuzzi and pool area were beautiful and tempting. I told her I was going home to get my suit, haha.

The room smelled so badly. This place is so Gross! Never again staying here again.

GROSS! NOISEY! Walls so thin you can hear the people in the room next to you brushing their teeth! WORST night EVER!

Room instantly smelled like old wet carpet as soon as we walked in. I killed a couple of ants in the bathroom then we left for a while came back with food. Ate dinner and threw our trash in the trash can. I woke up and there was tons ants all over the trash can and everywhere around. Even with left over food there should not be ants a few hours later. I've always thrown food in the trash and no ants. Very disgusting. Especially with my 8 month old daughter crawling around. Never staying there again.

Nice room, bathroom was re modeled. Most of the staff super friendly, super close to the beach. Only negative is the beds, super uncomfortable and creaky. Definitely worth the price and would stay here again.

Great customer service! Great room and price. Five minute walk to the beach and harbor. Room was very clean and spacious. Would definately return.
