Love this Hotel! Everyone is so friendly it is centrally located and the amenities are top notch.

The hotel charged me $228.35 my second day which was taken from my account with no explanation. The hotel and parking was already paid for. It is in my receipt and it’s shown on my bank account. The manager and staff have no idea how this happened and said it must have been a “computer error” but refused to help or say how this happened. It is a lot of money to take from someone for no reason. The manager was extremely unhelpful and said she couldn’t help and to dispute it with my bank since I already checked out. Makes zero sense. I called their customer service who said the manager most definitely could have helped me. The manager couldn’t find where I was charged and acted like it wasn’t a big deal when it very much was. I highly recommend everyone staying there to check your cards on file because they take your money and refuse to help give it back to you. That’s theft. I’m dealing with their customer service now who said the manager should have helped me so I will be taking this all the way to corporate so they know the manager there is unhelpful and doesn’t care about their customers. I will never be staying there again and I will not stop until they are held accountable and to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else and to talk to that manager. I was staying there for the bar and the last thing I needed was to worry about my hotel taking money from me without my authorization.

Been here before and have had great service and rooms. This time I had a room for 5 days and 4 nights, called 48 hours in advance and told them I had to cancel due to health reasons, and I was advised to stay home by my Dr. There reply was "We are sorry and hope you get better, we will cancel your room, however we need to charge you a cancellation charge. " "Our policy is 72 hours notice, sorry wish we could help. " — That was after the call was escalated to the "Manager". Terrible customer service not to mention being conscious of there customers health. F-

Great experience, great food.

Our room was very spacious. The bathroom was large and didn’t make you feel like you were taking a bath in a closet.
The staff were all very gracious and accommodating.
We needed an extra late checkout and the desk staff made sure we had more then enough time.

A clean place to stay. No ventilation in the bathroom, the lighting in there is awful, the room itself temperature wise is not consistent it's muggy, to hot or to cold. No happy medium. Front desk people have been great so far. The hotel staff has been helpful as well. Common areas are really clean. Full size beds not queens. Fyi.

My husband and I stayed here over a weekend and the room was adequate. There were stains on the walls and tapestries but I wasn’t too bothered by it. After all, it is an older hotel. The bed was clean and they even covered the TV remote with a plastic bag to combat germs, which I appreciated. When greeted upon arrival, the receptionist appeared tired and short-tempered. He wasn’t welcoming at all. But we had a comfortable stay and check-out was a breeze… That was until I checked my bank statements. I checked Monday morning and everything matched up with my receipt given to me via email. The next day I checked my bank account again and noticed I had an additional charge from the Sheraton with an additional $50 tacked on. Immediately, I called the hotel and the representative couldn’t explain the double charge. She said “it was just a mistake” when I asked why I would be double charged. She never apologized. She even said it could be because they attempted to charge me for a “deposit. ” Isn’t a deposit to be taken out BEFORE or UPON arrival? And a deposit was never mentioned on my receipt which I signed and authorized. I never received an additional document stating their attempt to take double the money owed. I’m highly dissatisfied. I’m recommending to my friends, who visit Sacramento and stay at this hotel frequently, to be very wary when booking or to not stay here at all.

The parking situation sucks here! There is no place to pull up to check in and unload. I had to carry 3 bags and push my daughter in a stroller for 2 blocks to get to the hotel from the ramp. There was no fridge in the room which I think is a bit ridiculous. I ordered food and had to toss what we didn't eat. Other than that our stay was great. Room service was good! I loved the Quesadilla and my daughter loved her breakfast in bed. The gym is amazing and the pool is quaint.

Attending the annual fire fighter Memorial. The host hotel has really gone out of their way to give the families support. The food provided was very good.

Had a great little overnight getaway with my love. Loved the room, very spacious and quiet. Great breakfast buffet, and loved the late checkout I got for being a member.

Nice hotel. Fitness certer is better than many I've visited in this price range but not the best. They do have sufficient equipment for a decent workout. Dumbbells up to 50lbs. A cable machine and a few other machines. Treadmill, elliptical, stationary bikes. Decent food and walkable restaurants. Rooms are comfortable and decent TVs. I'd stay here again.

Sheraton Grande Hotel Is conveniently located in downtown Sacramento. A very good place for staying or hosting social and professional events. Recently I attended there for a conference. The staff was friendly and caring. The food was very good and varied. The only thing I would like is the room temperature to be a little bit warmer. It's refreshing if you just came in during a hot summer day, but if you stay for a longer event like in my case it does feel cold. So if you're more used to a warmer weather or get cold easily caring a light jacket is always a good idea. :)

It's a very nice property overall. My room does not have a mini fridge, which is a little disappointing. However, every part of the hotel is clean and comfortable. My room is no exception. Walls are thick and I do not hear my neighbors other than some slight noise through the door, which is to be expected. Room service is fine. Food is decent quality, though not particularly exciting. Be aware that they apply a 20% gratuity AUTOMATICALLY to all room service orders, but still have a tip space on the bill. Make sure that you are not tipping more than you want to.

Stayed for two nights. My flight got cancelled. Staff refused to honor the rate I had booked my hotel rather they were forcing me to get a room st walk in rate even I am SPG member.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Grand hotel in Sacramento. The bed was very comfortable and the room was impeccable. The hotel was walking distance from several restaurants that we also enjoyed. I would give 5 stars, but the towels were a bit rough. I would definitely stay there again when visiting Sacramento.

Overall good hotel if needing to stay in downtown Sacramento. Here are the pluses: easy access and friendly staff, prices are high buy slightly lower than nearby properties. I was a little disappointed in the rooms. If by myself or just one other person there would have been plenty of room. Options for families and larger rooms are somewhat lacking. Most rooms with two beds only have full. Size beds, no queens. The club floor food was on point with a special about out to Jan who was a very nice and efficient attendant at club level.

Hands down the best I've been at. Everything was and always has been perfect. I suggest that you try a corner room to see the view of Old Sacramento and the River on the other side. It is so romantic. Everyone at that hotel is great. The location is great. Breakfast buffet is excellent. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. This is our go-to spot when we have our weekend getaways. Pet friendly too!

We attended a downtown party and instead of driving 45 minutes home we decided to get a room and drive home in the morning. At 2:49 am we awoke to the fire alarm going off continuously for what seemed like 5 minutes or so with a voice interrupting a couple times saying we are looking into the cause of the alarm. At this point my wife and I get dressed and as I look outside I see people leaving their rooms. We gathered our things and followed the others to the stairwell where we could barely get in line going down because of the amount of people heading down from the floors above us. We then moved with the crowd 14 floors to the ground level. We were met by a large crowd on the street and fire trucks. Instead of sticking around we decided to drive home. When we called the hotel in the morning we were told the hotel was not evacuated and it was an isolated incident and it was our decision to leave. I asked the manager why did the alarm go off for that amount of time and fire trucks called if it was only an isolated incident? He offered to refund half our bill. All I know is when I'm at work and a fire alarm goes off we immediately drop everything and get to safety! To say the hotel was not evacuated and it was our decision to leave is insulting.

Had my senior prom here. It was nice having many separate areas so you could find one you felt most comfortable in. Temperature was never an issue like at other venues. Parking lot is badly designed if you ask me. Overall a good experience.

Pretty dissapointed in the Sheraton. My company had a conference recently, and I stayed there for two nights. I was upgraded to a suite, because my company booked a banquet room and blocked off several rooms, that were never stayed in. The room itself was nice, but the carpets were wet, and it smelt like mold. I emailed our coordinator and she said she could downgrade me to another room that didn't smell. She also said she would send someone to the room to see if it still smelled. I never heard back from her, so… I stayed in a stinky room. Then I borrowed a family car, and parked in The Sheraton parking lot. I was charged $50.00, when I went to the front desk with vouchers, they told me that they would reimburse my credit card. That never happened! It's dissapointing that with all the money we spent to reserve the banquet room, buy food and block off and pay for 60+ rooms, and they can't follow up with me about my room, and my parking?

Limited valet parking… sometimes full. Outdoor pool with handicap lift and 3 lounge chairs, get there early if you want a seat. Soft beds. Not quite sure what makes this a 4 star hotel.

Great location and a surprisingly good deal for a room here on short notice. Room was very clean and nice and you cant beat the location for downtown sac adventures. Very glad to have found this place and stayed here.

Really nice place. Comfortable beds. Clean atmosphere. Seems to be a lot of social events going on. No refrigerator in the room is kind of a bummer considering the price we paid for the room. Great location.

Convenient parking across the street, but the parking spaces are a bit narrow. I attended for a social event. The ballroom is large and well lit, with decent acoustics. With 500 people in the room, it was possible to carry on a conversation across the table. Food was decent, but a bit overcooked. Everything was clean and orderly. Servers were professional and courteous.

Nice hotel and great location for the convention center. The Capitol is also walking distance as are lots of places to eat and drink. The only issue is that the elevator gets crowded when large groups get out of meetings or from the convention center at the same time. If your get a room on a lower floor you can take the stairs and save a ton of time waiting for an elevator that might be full.

This is conviently located near the convention center, but I cannot give this 5 stars for the following reasons: Internet is TERRIBLE, even if you pay the $15 a day for premium. Toiletries were also poor quality, and I was left without shampoo. The main reason however, is that in the morning the water took nearly 15 minutes to get hot. I had to catch a plane, it was very early, and the water was freezing. I called downstairs and was told that it can take a long time, and that 10 minutes was pretty common. That is just ridiculous. I alone likely wasted 20 gallons of water, costing the hotel more money. And on the mirror it stated that conservation is important. I was apparently supposed to get a $5 restaurant credit for not using house cleaning for a day, but I never got that.

Very friendly team and rich food.

This is quite a cute hotel. The staff was friendly and kind during the check in process. Check in was quick and efficient. As a Platinum member, I was upgraded to a very nice suite. The location is right in the centre of everything. It is very convenient to the convention centre. Parking is a bit expensive. The club lounge is too small for the amount of people who had privileges.

Pros: Located downtown. Large hotel. Friendly staff. Great view of downtown from 23rd floor. Cons: Absolutely NO MICROWAVES in the entire hotel — so prepare to eat out everyday. Refrigerators are available upon request, if they even have any left. Hotel room decor us a bit dated. If it wasn't such a huge inconvience to have a microwave and fridge I would have given this hotel 4 stars.

My wife and I decided to get a nice hotel room for our last night in Sacramento, after staying and visiting with family for a few days. We usually stay at the Inn of Capital Park, which we like a lot but decided to stay at a "nicer" hotel to treat ourselves. Right away we noticed that there is no refrigerator and no microwave. Then we began to notice that the room had dust on all the surfaces, the blinds were broken, basically no amenities. Add the $25 parking charge and we could have stayed at our favorite hotel for less money, free parking and had all these things with it. It wasn't terrible but there are so many better hotels that we will never bother with the Sheraton again.

I have stayed here several times. It is solid hotel. Last night I sat at the bar around dinner time. The service was FAST. I really like it when the server comes over as soon as you sit down and they were ready to take my drink before my bottom touched the seat. They continued great service for refills and appetizers. Pretty good food and ok beer selection.

I went to a social event which took place at the hotel. The registration was in the basement of the hotel. The rest of the event was the Convention center. Which is located on the side of the hotel.

This hotel I really like is very professional and there is always someone who is willing to help one. I also recommend this hotel to stay and it has restaurant inside and a bar.

Location: Nice, as it's close to the convention center and the capital, and fairly close to old Sacramento. Rooms: Adequate and spacious enough for 4 people. Unfortunately they do not provide a fridge and there isn't much place to store things. Everything was clean and there is enough plugs for each person to charge their gadget. Service: Quick and as silent as the night. Props to them for such an easy experience. Tip is advised. Amenities: the basics, shampoo, towel, etc Pool: Eh, don't swim. Tl;Dr: it's a good option if you want to explore out for most of the day than just being stuck in your hotel room.

Stayed one night before California International Marathon. This is located right next to the Expo venue, Sacramento Convention Center, and the race day bus starts right in front of it. No other location is more convenient than this, the room is so clean, well-made, nothing to ask more! Thank you Sheraton, it was pleasant stay!

Anytime your server (s) are consultative in helping you find a nice mix of food and beer, there’s a good chance it will be a good experience. Kristina and Jessica directed me toward the massive chicken nachos (only $13?!, yes please! ) and toward a tasty IPA I had never tried. Strong recommendations and excellent bar top service. They sent me on my way with a smile on my face.

Visited for a conference. Really nice rooms and service for water, coffee. Spacious, elegant. Self parking is expensive, so park somewhere else or take public transit in. Rooms are smaller than you would expect on the club level. Really nice venue, professional and easy to navigate.

I am doing this review based on the service I have experienced during nursing conferences I have attended here over the years. The Staff here are very kind and helpful. The food served is consistently good and the conference rooms conducive to learning. There is a garage across the Hotel which is convenient and they validate our ticket during the conference. It is only done for this one garage and no other so be mindful of that. I do not know if that is for every conference held here or dependent on case to case basis. They have valet parking as well like other Hotels.

When my friends needed a place to stay with their dogs and a transport for Dogs on Deployment, the Sheraton was the best place in town. They offer outstanding service and a beautiful hotel. I highly recommend staying here. They helped get a soldier's dog home to her after 18 months out of the country.

Good location, comfortable rooms, some with handsome views. The desks need more electrical outlets. Staff is Sheraton friendly and always greet warmly. Parking is across the street. Restaurant is great for lunch and there are lots of nearby restaurants for variety. You can't go wrong.

By far the best hotel on our road trip. The service was impeccable and the buffet breakfast was a delight to wake up for! The only downside was that our room smelled quite musty, but we were so tired that we were able to get past it quite easily. This hotel has made Sacramento the best town on our trip thus far, would love to return some day.

I have lived in Sacramento all my life and it's not often that I take the time to stroll the city streets. My sister and I had just come from the local adult arcade, Coin-Op, and I was talking about planning a Stay-cation, when I stopped on the corner and started straight up into the most beautifully presented building… The lights on the ground floor were bright enough to see inside, though the lobby was mostly empty. We viewed a group of 4 women sitting at a windowed seat, eating, drinking wine, and LAUGHING. The joy was wonderful to see! I know where I'm going next time I need to get away!

Very nice hotel. Check in and valet is fast. Our rooms were clean and we'll kept. Our room came with an empty small refrigerator, great for storing our kids snacks, was an unexpected bonus. Downstairs Lobby has a bar and restaurant. The gym is adequately stocked with machines and free weights while the 4th floor rooftop swimming pool small for the venue and lacks a jacuzzi. The hotel's location is in the heart of Sacramento and is conveniently located within walking distance to most restaurants and attractions, which is the primary reason for my booking my stay here. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will stay here again. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel with great rooms. The bar was fairly cheap and made some strong drinks. The concierge answered all my questions perfectly in regards to where to eat and where to run.

This is a business hotel. I have been here many times. Rooms are OK. Food is OK. The service is very good. The public spaces are great and the beer at the bar is reasonably priced. When I have a choice, I prefer to stay at the citizens hotel about a block away.

Attended my graduation ceremony, the facilities were very nice. Valet parking was a bit pricey, but fast service.

Stopped in for drinks with a friend who was staying overnight. Welcomed warmly even though I wasn't the guest. The rooms were immaculate, the facities were gorgeous. The bar was very nice. Upscale but not intimidating. Plan a stay of my own soon.

I love this hotel — great location near Union Square at a reasonable price. Small but comfy room, with a large walk-in closet. Hear the clink-clank of the cable cars, and the bell-men's whistles hailing the cabs. Check out the happy hour at the cozy bar, with the friendly bartender Rory.

One of the main reasons both my friend and I loved it was the location. It is located in midtown and it's close to so many great places to eat and drink.

The hotel surpassed my expectations. Excellent room. Bed comfortable, pillow, etc. Definitely superior accommodations. I specifically requested quiet part of the hotel and the fulfilled my request. The hotel permits dogs, yet I heard little to no barking; besides, I like/don't mind our four-legged friends. In terms of price, the hotel is inline with other comparable establishments, e. G. Hyatt, Citizen. Sole issue with this hotel, probably needs one or two more elevators, and only 3 of 4 were operating when I stayed. Beyond that, I'm very happy with my stay and would definitely book here again.

Aside from the small rooms, the staff at the concierge is just plain lazy and dishonest. After calling down for a luggage cart, waiting for over an hour and calling three more times, each time they assured me someone was on the way up as we speak, yet 20 minutes later still no one would show. I finally just made three trips and lugged everything, expecting to see everyone busy but instead there were all just standing around talking. When I asked what happened I got a blank stare. Now I am into phone call number two with them to try and get the double parking charge removed, which seems to be going as well as the luggage rack. If it wasn't for how overpriced it was, I wouldn't have been so annoyed. But this was just lazy and the place is not worth the money.

Room was very nicely furnished but small for the price. The reception desk seemed understaffed too. However, it was a very nice hotel; it just could be more welcoming.

SacAnime weekend. We got a 1 bedroom suite on the 4th floor. We used the fitness center was just down the hall. Room was very nice.

The room was very convenient, location-wise, with a very short walk to the elevator and ice machines. The hotel itself had a lovely decor, an amazing view of the Sacramento skyline at night, and perfect location being next to the convention center, down the street from the major downtown area, and the Capitol plaza. The service suffered a bit because of the convention in town, but I've never seen a hotel pull that off well anywhere and if any place could I feel it would be the Sheraton here.

The location of the Sheraton Grand Hotel is amazing! Very centralized. The conference rooms we used were spacious and very accomodating. The service at the restaurant on the ground level was great. All staff was friendly.

Great welcoming staff. Sacramento what can I say, I did not know you were a fun capital.

Rooms were OK, nothing fancy but comfortable. Ice machine on floor did not work. Lobby area was spacious and clean. Check-in and check-out took way longer than needed, they did not have enough people working at the desk.

Very nice hotel staff is very friendly but not impressed with the room, there was no fridge in the room. I could have paid less to get the same room but in this hotel you're paying for amenities definitely.

$4 for a taste of wine? Plus, there was a fly in it too. Service is also slow, but I don't hold it against the server. He's only one man who has to work a room full of people, and it's not fair. I blame his supervisors for that. Also the Wi-Fi is hard to connect to. And Sacanime has this crappy program where they want you to book a room and pay inflated costs so you can get a VIP badge, when during the con, you can get one for $85. It's an awful idea, and one I'm not too keen on.

We made reservations back in January 2015 for our stay in August 2015 we were just advised that the hotel was overbooked and were offered a stay at a different hotel which was further and not as convenient for our stay.

The Sheraton overbooked their hotel and just informed us that our TWO reservations are both cancelled ONE week prior to our trip. They emailed us, didn't even call. Both reservations were made 4 months ago back in April. They stuck us in a Fairfield Inn 4 miles away from where we need to be, which was originally walking distance to our work conference. We now need a rental car and it's too late to acquire one through our company because of the late notice (we needed to include the cost in our company's travel authorization form for reimbursement — that was done back in April). As someone who travels a lot and stays in hotels at least 1-2 times a month, I have never had this happen and am appalled at the lack of concern or even regret by this hotel. You can't even call your customers to inform them of the problem? You can't give them more than a week's notice? You can't contact us about the new hotel you have booked to make sure WE are okay with it? You can't offer some sort of reimbursement or voucher for the major inconveniences you caused? If I can help it, I will never stay in a Sheraton again. They've lost my business for good.

Nice room. Security were a? holes. They came up to our room. They said someone called and said it is loud. We said ok. He was trying to come in and count the heads. It was five of us. We had three rooms but decided to talk for awhile after coming from party spot. He has the nerve to say its to many in the room. Two people left the room. He still wasnt happy so I shut the door in his face. Lol.

Nice hotel and staff, but I was double charged and still, 1 month later, cannot get the billing mistake resolved. Uggggggghhhh.

The service is spectacular the staff are very cooperative and make you extremely comfortable and at home away from home.

While the hotels interior is really nice, the exterior picture of it appears to be the main entrance, it is not. There is no parking, so you have to pay for parking $20+. Internet is not free, its additional, the water in the room is not free either, its $3 a bottle. The channel line up in the rooms is very basic. The location of the hotel is great but there are other hotels in the vicinity that can offer you more of the basic amenities for free. The cleanliness of the room was as I later discovered to be not as clean. My blanket under the comforter had a large chocolate stain on it and the bathroom sink area had small hairs as if someone had shaved or buzzed their hair. All small stuff but for what they charge, you'd expect just a little more.

We stayed at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento on a trip through Sacramento. The staff and accommodations far exceeded our expectations. The room service was great, too.

I've been staying year for years 30 plus nights a year. I've never got a suite upgrade or a club level room. I'm 100 night plus Starwood. I don't get it. Valet can be slow. It's otherwise what you would expect of a large convention center Sheraton.
