I have been coming here since a little girl, and I love all the amenities. Always fun to come here with my family. The pool and pool tables are fun. And if you need a small treat, you can get an ice crean cone.
We have stayed for years here and loved it. But now with new owners it is not the same home town feel. The pool is the perfect place to cool off and visit with family and friends you don't see often. But this year they made you stand in the hot sun and wait to get in until others came out, if you went to the bathroom you lost your spot. If you pay for a RV spot you should not have to stand in the hot sun for hrs to swim. What's going on? Bad time! Hope they fix this terrible new rule.

I've stayed here in the past with my family about 10 years ago when my kids were still little. They are now teenagers. It is still very much a family oriented RV campground. Lots of cute, adorable children and pets running around. Mix of young families and retirees. New cabins have been added, although we didn't stay in one but they looked nice. Staff remained friendly and courteous like I remembered. One big drawback to RV campgrounds, (not unique to the 49er) and my recent stay here was a reminder of this, is that there is very little privacy or private space. Your fellow "campers" are just a few feet away. You can hear their conversations, doors closing, stereo and televisions. And forget about sleeping in. In addition, there isn't much nature. Mostly its lounging around at the campsite, cooking and eating, and hanging out with family and friends, which is totally fine. But I've decided that camping for our family wont be at RV campgrounds, but more so at primitive camp sites. You can still bring your trailer and have some amenities, but more importantly, you'll have peace, quiet and tranquility.
