We spent one night at this hotel and had a very bad experience. Check in went smoothly with polite and friendly workers, however our room had a very strong odour upon entering. A strong chemical cleaner as well as another smell we could not identify. We left the room for the day with a window open. The window would only open 1/4 of the way, and there was no working fan in the washroom to generate additional air flow. When we returned for the night the smell was still stron…g and present.
My boyfriend was having an allergic asthmatic reaction and I woke up through the night with a headache from the toxic smell.
Upon waking up I turned on the ac as the room was very hot and stuffy, and the smell amplified.
The smell was either coming from the ac or the carpet. After a bad sleep I went down to get coffee and a muffin from the complimentary breakfast being served.
I was then denied breakfast as my room was not on the breakfast list. I was told breakfast needs to be booked in advance and is not available for rooms booked via third party. (American Express). As we were simply told that complimentary breakfast is served from 7-11 at our check in, this came as a shock and disappointment after a particular long and unrestful night. I was offered to pay $13.95 us per person if I wanted breakfast.
Unacceptable in my opinion as that is not what we were first told. I will not be staying here again and would not recommend it.

The rooms were clean and simply appointed. The hotel is easily seen from the 101 freeway but doesn't realize noise from it which is nice. My room was spacious quiet and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I took one star off because the mattress was far from luxurious. More like rock hard prison cell if-you-are-dead-tired-you-will-not-mind hard. Otherwise, I'd stay here again. It is convenient to many food options, shopping, and any other necessities.

Comfortable room with nice atmosphere. They had a breakfast that wasn't included in our rate, so we paid extra for it that day. It was quite good. Next time we visit the area we'll definitely be staying there again.

Things could have been so much better. The room itself, was great (loved the bed). However, housekeeping did not leave enough kleenex or toilet paper, even after I asked for more. Check in took longer than it should have because they only had one clerk behind the counter and it was a popular check in time. That was not appreciated either after a having a long drive to get to the hotel. The restaurant however was pretty good. The food for dinner was excellent and breakfast was pretty good too, although the bacon could have been a little crispier. I do not like chewy, almost raw bacon. The gym was very small, but doable.

This Hilton Garden Inn lives up to the high standards of the brand. The modern lobby has a bar and restaurant, along with a comfortable lounge area. The room was clean and spacious with modern fixtures and amenities. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and a delight to encounter. I'd highly recommend this location.

My favorite place to stay but a bit expensive! Beautiful, and very comfortable! Mattress was a bit too firm for me.

Everything was great other than the beds. Woke up every morning with a crazy tight upper back. Pillows were soft, comforter was warm and soft mattress was the worst I have ever slept on. Food was great service was also great.

Exactly what you'd expect from this chain. Room was good but the shower had a slight leak which made the bathroom smell bad.

The hotel is nice and looks relatively new. You are close to shopping and the main roads. The breakfast and bar in the lobby are overpriced even for a hotel and there's definitely cheaper places to stay but it's not bad for one night. The rooms are decent size but I got a bigger room in LA near the airport for not much more. There is a pool and hot tub but neither is very big.

Staff are friendly, rooms are clean, and the hotel is located fairly close to shopping and activities.

I came from the san fernando valley to attend a professional event held on the side of the lobby. Service was great. As soon as I walked into the hotel I was greeted by 3 people asking me if I needed assistance. They provided coffee every time we needed a refill or more refreshments without much of a wait. Our computer went down for a miinute and an employee that worked at the front desk assisted us as much as she could. Again, great service!

The price of the food is a little high but it is very rich.

Hilton honors member and no mention of it or usual water and what not at check in or out. Cable in the room was not getting signal on some channels. The room was noisy and I could hear all the traffic and vehicles outside. Staff was friendly and helpful and the food at breakfast was good just not that impressed with this Hilton in general unfortunately. It was in a nice area and close to everything but the room was just average.

A nice hotel. Similar to other Hiltons I've stayed at. Staff was polite and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was plush, soft, and cozy. I would stay here again anytime Two small complaints. First the bathtub was slow draining. Second in my room you could hear your neightbors conversation echoing through the bathroom vent pipe, not too obtrusive but was noticable.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The reason I did not give 5 stars were a good cook to order breakfast with horrible coffee and a wet animal smell in the fitness center. The other negative is the noise level of the air conditioning which is needed to be comfortable for sleep. All said, I will stay here again because the value provided is good.

Rooms were nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was amazing.

Staying for multiple nights and the housekeeper has done a great job of touching up the mess I usually leave and making it organized. Small things like arranging wash clothes all fancy around my hair brush and bringing me extra pods of coffee/cream when it's obvious I'll go through them. Overall pretty pleased.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. One of the maintenance guys even helped me load a heavy crate into my car.

Haven't stated here in a couple of years. Service has greatly improved. The room was really nice and clean. Possibly the rooms have undergone some upgrades since my last visit. Every staff I encountered was polite and welcoming. Easy and fast check in too. I will recommend to family and co-workers. I'm staying for a week on business. Its close to everything. Restaurants, shopping, and the beach. Hope that helps.

We worked a wedding in their adagio room here as photographers. It was a beautiful place and the staff was friendly and helpful. A great place to work!

Very nice facility with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Great coffee and a cook who knows how to do eggs correctly. All food served fresh and HOT.

First off we had a basic king bedroom reserved. When we arrived they upgraded us to the actual penthouse room. My wife and I were the only people on this floor. From the moment we entered the hotel even before the upgrade they treated us like royalty. Every person working there went over and above with their hospitality. We are planning another trip soon just because they showed us such customer service.

I love all Hilton Gardens, they all so nice and clean. The staff is always helpful and the restaurant and bar are usually top notch. This is was the case for Oxnard. Strongly recommend.

The staff is always friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and the food is very good. A 4 star is a high rating. 5 stars are reserved for the Four Seasons resorts!

I thought the people was very nice and kind. The room it self was very big. Bed is so comfortable, very clean, cable was great, microwave excellent. Overall is a 4 star. Love the stay I was so spoiled amazing.

Great room. Very up to date and very cozy. Loved everything about it. Staff was very pleasant as well. Nice rest from the drive back from Texas.

Stayed there for Mountains 2 Beach marathon. Staff was friendly, helpful, and we were able to check in about an hour early. They offered a late check out, but we didn't need it since their check out time was noon and we were done way before that. Would visit again.

After a late afternoon lecture at the Bacara Resort during Santa Barbara Food & Wine Weekend, it was time to head back south to Oxnard to check into the Hilton Garden Inn Oxnard/Camarillo. Using it as a base hotel, it is conveniently located close to Highway 101. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. They make you feel right at home. This hotel has a complimentary on-site restaurant (Great American Grill is open for breakfast and dinner) and lounge, 24-hour business center, fitness center, heated outdoor pool, laundry room, and approximately 1, 900 square feet of meeting and event space. There is a large parking lot which it shares with its sister hotel, Homewood Suites by Hilton Oxnard/Camarillo. The King Bedroom has the following amenities: self-adjusting king-size bed, complimentary Wi-Fi, chair with ottoman, large work desk with ergonomic chair, speakerphones, data port, voicemail, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, air conditioning with adjustable thermostat, clock radio with MP3 connection, flat screen TV, bath amenities, and hair dryer. The room is quite spacious for two people. The work space has ample space for laptop and plenty of charging ports for accessories like camera batteries and mobile phones. The bed is comfortable for a restful night's sleep. * Travel tip: If you are a Gold level or above Hilton HHonors, you can choose to have extra HHonors points or free breakfast during your stay.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Conveniently located very close to both the 101 and the PCH which makes getting anywhere you want to go that much easier, but no disturbing highway noise at all. Overall a great hotel for business travel.

The rooms were clean, the staff was nice! I stayed two nights because we had our women's conference here this weekend. We were about 100 women and there was plenty of parking. Great shopping center nearby! The food for the conference was good. No complaints!

Comfortable beds, cozy rooms. The only downside was that the breakfast was not free.

Points for being very quiet even though it appeared to be near full capacity. No free breakfast though : (Beds were ok, a/c turning off and on all night kept me up…

Great staff. They even provided wine glasses for me to use during my stay. Only complaint is that the hot tub wasn't hot… just warm. I would definitely come back though.

The room was excellent. The best bed at a hotel I ever slept on. The customer service was amazing as well. It was super quiet and peaceful and the rate we got the room for was spectacular.

Hospitality at this hotel is a FOUR LETTER word. From the initial check in scowls of the front desk supervisor girl and the large heavyset woman counting every dollar in the register incessantly. dont even think of staying here. Everyone of these women act like they're going to be the next general manager! The one exception was the one Asian guy at the desk very nice and the Hispanic maintenance guy. Doesn't matter what level of Hilton Honors you are wait in line with ALL the rest! The absolute lack of hospitality is the only equal treatment.

I am a Dimond Member at the Hilton, Our biz/relax weekend was basically ruined. The first night we experience a loud grinding noise from the mini refrigerator. Also, the bathtub nozzle was leaking in which also kept us up. Apparently, the room was not inspected properly, which of is inexcusable. What was very really frustrating is that when we complained about these to issues to the front desk person, she did not offer us another room, as she should of, but rather she said she'll send a plumber to the room — totally unacceptable! Thus, we had to take the initiative and ask for another room. Moving was a total inconvenience. The other room not only had a different bed (old spring type), but to our shook there was mildew and two blood marks on the shower curtain. The following morning I spoke to the office manager and she merely offered us 8000 bonus points and an appetizer. Frankly, 8000 points and a $5 appetizer does not erase the total inconvenience and dissatisfaction we experienced here as Diamond members. The offer was somewhat of an insult. Further, The fitness room was like working out in a sauna. For some reason they do not have ventilation or air-conditioning working in the room We would never stay here again. Very poor Management and staff lacks customer service skills.
