We love bed and breakfast inns and stay in them as much as possible when traveling. We had high hopes for this property given the good reviews and were spending the weekend in Napa for a wedding. DO NOT STAY HERE! My husband has lung disease and is very sensitive to air quality. I explained this to Ed when I made the reservation. Ed, the inn keeper told us he would not be able to greet us and gave us the details of how to enter our room. Unfortunately, upon entering Room No. 3 in the main house, it smelled very musty! The room did not feel or was clean! We spent the night because it was late and could not move to another hotel until the next day. My husband coughed all night. Do no wear white socks because the carpet is filthy, and my slippers stuck to the bathroom floor when I walked on it. Disgusting! We ventured to the kitchen area and opened the refrigerator which was dirty inside. We could not imagine having breakfast at the Inn in the morning. I spoke to Ed in the morning and explained that we had to leave. I asked for our payment to be refunded, but he told me the policy was only to return 50%. I certainly would not have dealt with the situation that way. A most unfortunate experience!

I would avoid this overpriced place. No customer service as far as being greeted and made to feel comfortable. Went on 10/04/2023. Only guests due to mid week. We arrived. Door locked, rang doorbell and Ed said he sent an email with door code. We saw that and used it and got in. Most B and B have someone to greet you, and ask for your needs. I have been to many. Not here. No staff was there at all for our arrival nor evening. No afternoon wine and snacks like most B and B, s. Place has large area, but grounds overrun with weeds, lacking good care. There is a chalk board in the entry way with phone number and posts breakfast times and check out. Very impersonal. Rooms just ok and only two thin towels for the shower. No ADA handles, for those that need them. Room was dusty. Only highlight was Maria, the cook who served us breakfast a lovely egg and veggie frittata. For $517 dollars a night, there should be a host. Think Ed is using the area and figures he don't need return guests. Will not go back or recommend.

This is our favorite place to stay in St. Helena/Napa. We've been coming here for the last 4, almost 5 years. If you're into the rustic French cottage aesthetic, you've come to the right place. My hubby and I actually got engaged here, believe it or not. We had just checked into our usual room that we always request when we stay there and after a whole day of drinking, he whips out my ring pop from his luggage and the rest is history. The couple who run the place are super nice. Mimi, the wife, is a character and an excellent cook. We always ask for the full breakfast and she spoils us with all of her homemade goodies. We love taking a stroll in the gardens after breakfast and saying hi to the chickens who gave us such yummy eggs for our meal. We also order a produce box from them once in a while and they always vary from season to season. This B&B is such a gem, it holds such lovely memories for us.

We would give a 10 star rating if it was an option. My wife and I were completely blown away from our stay at The Napa Farmhouse Inn. The owners Mimi and Ed were completely kind and gracious. Our room and accommodations were quaint and romantic. Our breakfasts each morning were exceptional. Made by Mimi with fresh laid eggs by their chickens and organically grown vegetables on the property. Her homemade jellies and baked goods made from scratch were so delicious! The grounds were adorned with 50+ beautiful rose bushes, dozens of fruit trees, an incredible vegetable garden, and much more. We thought it to be a hidden oasis… just beautiful.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Napa Farmhouse Inn for our few days in Napa, and can not recommend it enough! Mimi and Ed are kind, welcoming and accommodating. Mimi prepared an incredible breakfast daily with fresh ingredients from the garden. We made sure to walk the beautiful gardens and see the care they put into it. Mimi also gave us great recommendations on how to make the most of our stay in Napa. Ed provided us text updates and responded to our messages and requests so quickly. The property is beautiful and in a perfect location in St Helena to explore all the best wineries. Ed and Mimi truly care about their guests, and we hope to return soon!

The most unfriendlessly b&b I have ever been at. They made sure anyone who was not a registered guest in the main house feel like they should not be there! I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Spiders, spiders, roaches, over-grown mess of a garden, dust and dirt all over the rooms, pubic hair throughout the bathroom and shower floor, sour-smelling towels. We asked Mimi, the owner, to clean the bathroom after finding the pubic hairs. She came 2 minutes later and picked up a few hairs with a napkin and threw it in the trash. That was her solution… Gross. Of course we continued to find plenty more hair throughout the bathroom. Spiders were hanging out in their webs in all corners. My fiance found a spider in his shirt in the morning. We killed a small roach in our room. Our room is connected to a common area where breakfast is served and the food is left exposed in the morning. Hopefully the roaches didn't find that because I had eaten some of it that morning. The garden looks like it is has never been maintained. There were whole egg shells and coffee filters littering the garden and flower beds. If you like your Hotel or B&B to be even moderately clean then do not visit here.

Enjoyed my stay at this lovely place. Peaceful ambiance with comfortable rooms and gracious hosts serving wholesome fresh food grown right from their garden of fruits and vegetables. A delight!

This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience and we were pleasantly surprised. The location is great … 1/4 mile to V. Sattui Winery where we picked up our favorite wines and cheeses, pate, and other treats. When we arrived, we were greeted by our Host Mimi and her cute baby dog. She showed us to our room and there were fresh flowers waiting for us. Our room had a fireplace and private outdoor patio deck where with a breath taking view. The bed was comfortable and the décor was very charming. It was a busy weekend, so the rooms were all booked. We did meet a cute couple celebrating their 5th anniversary. They just enjoyed wine tasting and spa treatments in Calistoga. The vegetable garden was so beautiful. We met our other host Ed later and he was really friendly and gave us some suggestions other things we can do near by. We are planning to make this our annual get away weekend and maybe try a couples massage next time. Thanks Mimi and Ed … we cant wait to come back!

My wife and I were attending the Taste of Napa grand tasting this past saturday, and made reservations to stay at this quaint 1865 Napa Farmhouse bed and breakfast. We arrived early as we were catching transportation to the event. Mimi let us check in early so when we returned we could go to our room. When we returned my wife wanted a nap. We went up to the room and what a treat, a nice comfortable bed, soft carpeting, nicely remodeled, and very quiet. I went downstairs and there in the kitchen was a carafe of red wine, poured a small glass and went out back to sit on the back porch. Soon a rabbit went by, then a mother quail with 8 babies went running by, and daddy bird landed on top of a post watching his whole family. Then the standard blue jays and squirrels were going by. A little later Mimi came up and asked if we needed anything, if everything was to our liking, and at that time my wife came down from her nap and wanted dinner. She gave us several recommendations and off to dinner. We came back later and slept great with no back aches, and felt very rested after a day of enjoying the best wines of Napa Valley. We went downstairs in the morning to the smell of fresh organic coffee, sat at a table and was served fresh fruits, some from the garden, fresh yummy pastries followed by an egg scramble with fresh veggies from the garden that was to die for. After breakfast, Mimi came up to us, making sure everything was to our liking, and chatted with us for a few minutes.

I highly recommend the Napa Farmhouse Inn. Mimi is an amazing host and chef! She made me feel so welcome — — from the fresh food from the garden to the delicious pastries to the cozy bed! I loved my stay at the Inn and will visit again soon!

My wife and I spent the weekend at Napa Farmhouse Inn and what a joy! Their location is the best. It's located walking distance from 3 Michellin star restaurants and award winning wineries. Their farmhouse is clean, charming and spacious. We love to travel and this is by far the best. It is very private and unique. We loved sharing wine in their pretty garden overlooking the vineyards. They only have a few rooms and we were treated like VIPs. Can't wait to go back!

I'm going to be honest. We often stay at nice places, but this place sucked. The King Suite was $350.00 + tax almost $400.00. The bathroom sink & shower too small. The house was in need of paint and had dry rot. The grounds were very overgrown and nothing has been pruned for years. There were meager gardens, but this place looks nothing like the website shows. It's like they bought it and have not been able to take care of it. The so called breakfast was terrible. A little fruit, 1 strawberry, & weak organic coffee. The "French Pastries" were stale, dry & tasteless. The homemade jam was watery and sour. The frittata was a joke. We feel totally misled and it was VERY over priced.
