First time back to a restaurant since this craziness started. Excellent hostess and server provided safe, distanced seating on the Cookhouse deck ~with this view! A bit of normality. We highly recommend it! Cheers!

We have had a boat moored here for the past two years. The office staff is very efficient and friendly. We appreciate the staff on the docks, who keep the area clean and neat. Easy in and out access to the main channel of the lake.

I can't recommend Bridge Bay enough — The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful that answered all questions we had. The boat was everything we wanted and more, and the view on the lake was breathtaking. Bridge Bay is family-friendly and perfect for any occasion.

Ate at the restaurant, it was wonderful.

This place has ABSOLUTELY the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received. I will NEVER go back. I tried to take out of town family to enjoy the view. We were not allowed to sit outside or have a window table because of needing a high chair even though the place had lots of room available.

We rented a houseboat and a wave runner. They made everything so easy and added so many service extras to ensure that our stay was fabulous. Love Bridge Bay and can’t wait to go again.

The people at Bridge Bay were amazing. We were there for three days for our granddaughter’s wedding on June 8th, 2019, and it was picture perfect! Everything was set up in their wedding area and well designed for the ceremony and reception all in one place. We stayed in the motel, and it was showing it’s age; but the environment was so beautiful that we were outside most of the time and it didn’t matter. The Cookhouse restaurant was one of the best we have ever enjoyed; and we have eaten at many restaurants in many countries. The food was more than ample, and really delicious (we ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner there on different days). The waiters and waitresses were very thoughtful and friendly, and they went out of their way to be sure we were well served and happy being in their restaurant.

It was great renting a boat from here. They were out of ski boats, so we took out a patio boat. It was $75 for 2 hours. Note that you also have to pay for gas that you use! We used an average amount over the 2 hours and it cost $17, so that adds to your cost. It was smokey when we were there, so they gave us free smoke masks, which was awesome.

By far the worst experience ever. Drove 4 hours today for our houseboat reservation to find out they were closed. I checked this page and they never posted anything about being closed. In fact they are still posting messages encouraging people to book with them. I spoke with Cheslea once I got there. She said they called people and the only people who wouldn't know are ones whose voicemail wasn't set up. I admit that I recently switched carriers and didn't realize my voicema…il wasn't set up, but a single call from an unlisted number is insufficient to let people know there reservations were cancelled. She went on to blame me for showing up since they tried to call (once). I pointed out that they had my email and even sent me a message confirming my booking about the same time as when they tried to call. She said the email was automated, but didn't explain why they couldn't stop them or send automated emails that they were closed. I should also point out that I checked their Facebook page before heading up there and there was recent activity. No, nothing mentioning they were closed. Rather, they were making posts encouraging people to book vacations with them. They put the onus on us to find out they were closed and the blame on us when we didn't. Terrible service, terrible attitude, terrible all around. Save your money and go with another company that understands that customers are important.

Decent place for what it is. I was thankful they had the air conditioning turned on when we arrived to our room, though our room did not have a lake view as expected. No pool and the access to the lake is very difficult. You really need a boat to swim there. If you are gluten-free, you may want to avoid the restaurant. They didn't seem very knowledgeable about celiac disease.

I was just checking the Bridge Bay FB page for info about the lake and closures because of the fires. I have to say after reading some of the bad reviews here it really is too bad… Id like to add my own review. We have been staying at Bridge Bay, in the summers, for over 15 years, we boat, rent the motel, have rented houseboats and we always rent a boat slip when we stay at the motel, we have had many wonderful breakfasts, lunches, dinners… we always use the lounge, we love the store and the convenience store on the dock. The people at the front desk — especially now that Seven Crowns is out of the picture — are just great and really make a point of letting you know that they care about your visit and your stay there! Although there have been changes over the years with ownership, procedures, restaurant, bar, store, employees etc, everyone who we have ever worked with at Bridge Bay have gone above and beyond to make our stay the best it can be. People need to realize and take into account that this is a older facility, it is in the forest, on a lake and it is seasonal. I feel strongly that they do a great job in all areas with the budget they are given and working in 100+degree temperatures most of the time, with many people renting boats and machines that have never driven a boat or a jet ski in their life which requires more patience that any of us have. They are organized, clean, courteous.

Boat Rental at Bridge Bay. Easy check in easy check out. Nice staff and really easy to find. Be patient when returning your boat because every one else on a rental will be docking at the same time. So share the water and be prepared to strategically navigate your rental. There is also as loading dock with wheelbarrows to make loading easier on your back. Have fun and be safe!

A surprisingly nice hotel and restaurant attached to the most convenient house boat rental dock in Lake Shasta, hard to go wrong booking a getaway here. The beds are OK, but really nothing else to complain about especially considering it's proximity. The staff is alll extremely helpful and smiling as the day goes on. Be sure to have breakfast at the restaurant. Houseboat rentals are booked often and early so don't leave yours till late. Parking can go fast so get there early!

We had a great time on the Summit house boat. It's about 8 feet longer than the cascade. I think we will go back to to Cascade next time though because with that one you can open the back gate see which way the motors are turned. It's not as important when you are out on the water but it is when you are leaving a dock or trying to dock it. Unfortunately one of our motors ended up with a dead battery on the last day so we only had one motor. Luckily it wasnt windy so we were able to maneuver it ok just a little slow.

They were very nice up there and gave me a extra day for free I would take my car up there is very safe nobody will rob you they have lots of security up there so it's a good place.

I don't normally write reviews but I wasn't about to pass up the opportunity to let the public know about my boat rental experience at Bridge Bay. I rented a ski boat (all day) on 6/22/18 for $300 + gas. I had to put down a $300 deposit as well. $600 was charged to my account with a $300 due back to me when returned with zero damage. We made the best we could with the boat. There was a major safety concern from the beginning… the boat would not shutoff. You could turn the key and pull it out and the engine would still run. It is not safe to get in and out of a boat next to the prop while the engine is still running. I made the decision to do it myself, but my guests did not. We also cancelled our picnic lunch on a beach due to the fact the engine would not shutoff. All the while this piece of junk was burning fuel. I was given a 10% discount when I brought the boat back 4 hours early. Not even a break from the "all day" price. I just checked my credit card statement and I was credited $176 of the $330 that was due back to me. That means I was charged $154 in fuel for a half day out on the lake. At this point I can only say I feel I was RIPPED OFF and I will not be back to rent from them again.

The price and location are great. But our room was dirty. The floor was really sticky both in the room and bathroom. The next day we were checking out but room service came literally 10 times starting at 8 am. We were sleeping and forgot to put the do not disturb sign. But the same two ladies kept coming again and again and again.

My family stays at Bridge Bay Resort and Marina every year for holiday weekends. They always have a fantastic staff, great prices and clean facilities. This past memorial weekend we dealt with a slight emergency situation trying to pull our boat out of the water. The dock crew was an amazing help and so kind to us. The hotel staff also went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable. Collectively, the staff at Bridge Bay Resort and Marina provided outstanding hospitality to my family. We couldn't be more happy with our experience and appreciative of the staff here at Bridge Bay.

Bridge Bay is a beautiful Resort. The houseboats are clean and working condition. The views from this Resort are breathtaking!

Bridge bay is a great reseort located right on the edge of Shasta Lake. They offer several types of boat rentals as well as storage for personal boats.

The food was awesome. Service is a little slow but they always make up for it with amazing food and a friendly staff.

Stopped in March 31st, 2018 to have lunch and enjoy the view. After waiting 10 minutes and no hostess attention we had to ask when could expect seating. With six tables open and one family in front of us we were told they were backed up and would be 10-15 minutes. We left. HORRIBLE service.

We were on our way to San Francisco when we saw this beautiful lake! We took the exit and drove there to find one of the most amazing view on the whole west Coast of USA! It is a must visit place. God bless USA.

Food is ok, but the view is what keeps you coming back. No other restaurant has that view of the lake. The bar upstairs is well known, as is the regular bartender Dan.

Kid friendly, nice staff, full bar, good food with decent prices, and a beautiful view of the lake while you eat.

Room was excellent for the price, with spectacular scenery. In room TV reception was spotty. The bar's limited winter hours did not meet my group's needs.

There's better hotels out there, but this one has one of the best locations you can find. This place is right on the lake. The boat launch and docks are just a short walk away. You can eat at the restaurant that has a gorgeous lake view, bring your boat and go fishing, or rent a house boat for a small party. The rooms are a little small and old, but still well kept.

Unfortunately our last visit to Bridge Bay was Aug 2017. We have rented houseboats for over 25 years and exclusively from Bridge Bay the last 12-13 years. We have noticed a decline in maintenance and cleanliness of the boats in the last several years but the proximity on the lake worked so well for us so every year we would rent again and hope for the best. At the end of every trip no one wants to really hear the problems or issues you experienced so they can be resolved for the next guest on that boat. This year we had so many issues that were unacceptable. We voiced that to staff who authorized an acceptable credit. However, we still requested to speak with the manager since no one noted any of the issues or problems. After waiting for sometime for him to get free we were told he was at the office. But, once we arrived he had to "leave to deal with an emergency". While we understand emergencies happen, the timing was interesting. And, after the manager dealt with the emergency, he still didn't attempt to contact us in any way. After we arrived home we wrote a letter to the general manager. We received his response which outlined an excuse for each of our issues. Some of the issues and facts were changed to make sure the excuse was adequate. What Bridge Bay management doesn't understand is that customer service isn't just giving someone a credit. It is listening, and taking responsibility for the problems and looking for ways to improve a customer's experience.

Went smooth! Had a blast! People are nice, fair and friendly. We rented a boat for 3 days and camped, plus got a room for 2 nights. Good times! Could not be more pleased.

Heaven on earth. They rent all types of boats including houseboats. There's a small store where you can buy ice, drinks (including beer and alcoholic beverages), fishing necessities, etc. Always a friendly and helpful staff. Gas prices are a little high at around 5 dollars a gallon for fueling your boats. And 20 lb. Bags of ice are around 7.50 a bag. But all in all, this is an excellent place to vacation or go for a picnic on the water.

Called to see about reserving a patio boat and was told the lady that made those reservations was not there at that time. I was asked to leave my number for her to call me back. I never received a return call!

The view, the staff and the food are all excellent! Every time I have gone there I always feel totally satisfied! Love the place!

Love this place, reminds me of 20 years ago when I was a kid houseboating. I can't wait to go back.

I was there for a tournament, parking was great and the staff was wonderful.

Had dinner at restraunt expected a nice experience but what we ended up with was really not good. I had a Pennine and it was hard and burnt. My husband wanted steak but was told no baking potatoes at the start of dinner hour so he asked for a Cobb with dressing on side. Got his salad dressing mixed in and had what looked like processed meat on it. Won't go again EVER.

The food is a great. Top of the line. Service was friendly. Restrooms were clean. Margaretas are.

Got dropped t here hitching the nice lady gave me, 90 dollars for a room. The management there basically told me that I am not high enough class to be there and wanted me to leave not a kind place they threaten me with calling the cops if I did not leave that area. Not kind people. Please stay away.

This place was great, BUT, the night desk clerk who checked us in was WEIRD, and acted sexist. I'm female and payed for the room. The clerk passed the receipt to be signed to my male friend. I said, in an absolutely neutral tone of voice, 'oh it's mine. ' And he loudly responded, 'Well, you're the same person, aren't you?! ' Neither of us could figure out what the guy was talking about, and in retrospect it was just mildly upsetting. Mental health issues expressed in kind of a sexist behavior? I dunno. Anyway, the positives were: great, not overly renovated room, ie, cool tile in the bathroom. Beautiful view of the lake, decent restaurant on site for breakfast. Unfortunately we were traveling too fast to go swimming in the morning. I'd definitely stay there again.

New owners. I literally was just here last week and questioned why the food just wasn't like it used to be. Well they said there is new owners. Went here again tonight under the new name Cook House. What a huge let down. None of the servers seemed to know what they were doing. My rare steak was forgotten and when they brought it out 15 miniutes later they informed me they were out of new York so they brought a flat iron out. They did comp it which was nice but I miss the old menu. The claim chowder used to be amazing. I go here very often as our houseboat and boat are moored here. I hope the service and food improves.

We went there this morning for breakfast and the service SUCKED, the bus girl was very rude and said nothing, The staff totally ignored us and we had to ask for everything! the food was super basic and nothing special. We have been going out there for years and sadly will not be returning anytime soon!

The first time I ate there was for a late lunch on a weekday. I went to sample the place for a Board meeting. Not many patrons were there. I took a very long time to get service. Given my simple order for a sandwich, and the paucity if patrons at that hour, it took too long to get served. At the end I had to activly seek out the server to get a check. When he came back with the bill he starts calling me John. Very unprofessional. We ate there last Saturday since it is about the only acceptable place between Redding and Dunsmuir, and it was late; we were hungry. Again, it took far to long to get menus, far too long to get our order taken. Then the server brings salad for my grandson and no bread. He disappears. I have to ask a bus lady to get water and some bread. Food was low OK. Same deal again to get a check. Bujslady had to find the server. Finally he comes back with the bill and addresses me as John and is chatting with us about simplistic jibberish. On the way out he is calling me John again. If we had eaten there many times and knew the families then the way servers address partrons can be more casual. I found it offensive and highly unprofessional. You choose. BTW I am NOT Tristan Behm. Don't blame him John Brennan Mt. Shasta.

What an Awesome Location! What Awesome Potential! What a Shame! Service was awful, Strawberry Margaritas all tasted like plastic form the blender — they blended them 3 times from two blenders Ugh! EVERYTHING — EVERYTHING seemed to come out of the fryer and all tasted the same. Everyone was looking at my baked potato which appeared to evade death in the fryer. 8 People ate at our party (or not as the case was) and 8 people left the entrees! We were politely asked if we wanted it all to go… well there was tumble weed and crickets! The potential at this location should be massive — beautiful views and a boat in and drive in location — what a shame!
