Nice small place to start close to Kaiser Permanente IT campus. Restaurant next store is good. Place had a little bit of a funky smell lately.

My say was excellent the room was clean. Air conditioner worked great. The staff was very friendly. Had a breakfast burrito in the morning at the cafe in the hotel. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

For what it is, this is an awesome hotel. You're minutes from the airport. While we would occasionally hear planes landing the sound was not intrusive. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. We stayed here 4 nights at the end of our stay in CA and we're not sorry.

I appreciate the complimentary breakfast and absolutely love the shuttle service to the airport, which is especially helpful if you have to stay overnight due to a missed connecting flight.

Reasonably clean and up-to-date. Breakfast included and is pretty good for hotel food. Quite a few choices and plenty of food. Relatively clean with spacious rooms. Comfortable needs. Good showers. This location could use a bit of a facelift as it's showing some wear. All rooms are no smoking. But there was a hint of stale cigarette smell in the room. This did cause some minor nasal congestion or irritation. Overall: 3.5 out of 5

This is a great place to stay if you are in the SF Bay Area. It's just minutes from the SF airport, and commuting to San Francisco or Peninsula is easy. There is parking available at the ground level of the building. The property is clean, the staff is nice and helpful. The Manager, Mr. Bhas is very friendly and attentive and goes the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are well equipped and clean. Wi-Fi is good. The breakfast selection is pretty good as well.

I don’t bother to write many reviews but very pleasantly surprised w this place. Super clean and desk staff was really nice helping w a problem w my door card. The room was modern and sparkling clean. I love that it had tile instead of carpeting, which is super gross esp in a hotel. Only complaint was that the room didn’t have an iron. Great value for the $.

I had a good experience, nothing out of the ordinary. A basic hotel in an area near the beach and historical Turisticas.

Nice, quiet, and was fully ready for myself and 3 others last minute. Highly recommended for an inexpensive, last-minute stay in Santa Cruz, just a few minute walk from downtown!

I booked a room with the Continental Inn through a third party website. I needed a double room, but had accidentally booked a single room. The general manager, Sam, was on site and remedied our situation quickly, only charging us an additional $20 per night for the double room. He checked on us frequently throughout our three night stay, making sure that we were satisfied. The rooms were very clean and I especially liked that housekeeping was available after noon, as we are late risers.

Great staff, clean spacious room, great internet speeds, short walks to: the boardwalk, a great kids park near the river, and some wonderful restaurants. Our unit was a suite with 2 bedrooms, a separate mini kitchen area in between with the bathroom off of it. We had 3 adults and 1 child. It worked out great! I was impressed with the friendly staff from the minute we checked in. We wanted to be close to the pool, so they upgraded us to the suite free of charge.

Absolutely the most charming place I’ve ever stayed. The garden was magical and the ocean was just a few minutes walk through the cypress grove to sit and hear the waves crashing along the beach and rocks. The staff was wonderful!

Great place for a quiet getaway. The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve borders the ocean side of this hotel. Every morning I would take a short loop around the Reserve including steps to walk down to a small beach. The views are beautiful. The hotel provides unlimited water and beverages. Breakfast can be delivered to your room, the garden or the dining area. In the evening there are many wine choices and great cookies. The reception desk is extremely helpful to give you tips on where to go.

This hotel is such a gem! The price is great. The rooms are soooooo spacious & well appointed! And the location is superb! Aside from not having a microwave, this is a perfect place to stay! Being an ex-bay area resident, it feels like home!

It's a boutique hotel and it reminds you of the Ocean Lodge on st. Simons Island Georgia and it's in walking distance of all little shops restaurants the mall is a mile away and it's kid friendly they even have a game room in the mall the baby enjoyed it and he's 3 years old.

We stayed here two nights over labor day weekend. I had booked the larger king room which happened to be on the ground floor off of their check in parking. Although it was different to be away from the hotel, I loved it. The room was massive and the bed. Oh my. That bed was so dang comfortable! They have a gorgeous hot tub and sauna on the second floor that we enjoyed one if the nights. The staff is so wonderful and helpful! They even served complimentary wine and cookies at night!

Management argues about giving towels, for some reason the maids "forget" to place them in rooms. Toilet paper and cups are also rationed out like gold. No breakfast or even coffee in the office or rooms. Actually even if it was provided I'd have to pass, the number of roaches is amazing. Even in broad daylight they wander about with not a care in the world, the garbage left in the room from previous renters and what's scattered in the parking lot keep them well fed.

So I am here at Motel Santa Cruz. For all you who gave negative reviews, it is apparent you are not beach and surf people. I didn't come here to sit in a motel room. The room was clean and I had a place to rest my head. The staff were great and Sabrina was very welcoming. Have a feeling the negative reviews are from people who are not grateful. You wouldn't be happy with a million dollar check because it's on the wrong color paper. Going to surf and enjoy mu blessings.
