Breakfast very Basic. Its ok though. A Mexican market clos by. Allso the Railway/Union station close by.

Centrally located in Chinatown and DTLA just walking distance from Union Station this budget friendly hotel-like motel is great for nomads and travellers. Decent complimentary breakfast is included. Clean rooms and parking available. Neighbouring to everywherre you want to visit if you're a touristy person. No complaints about this place.

Lovely staff. Clean. Has everything you need. Great location. Even gave me extra pillows and the loan of an iron. Parking facilities great. Would definitely recommend. Even breakfast though basic was great.

Not bad for being downtown L. A. The employees there were very knowledgeable and helpfull including parking attend and security guard!

Nice room though it took a long time for the AC to kick on so it was hot. Wish there would have been a refrigerator in the room to keep cold items. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The best thing about this motel is how close it is to union station. Only about a 5 minute walk. The other positive was the daily parking fee was only $5 and my car was safe to leave there for four days. Besides that the rooms smell and are outdated. The room looked clean but it didn't feel clean. The flat pillows and very firm bed made for an uncomfortable night sleep. Okay for a night at a time. Wouldn't stay two or more days in a row.

A little pricey but clean n quiet & convenient for Dodgers games!

Nice clean place. Very near to the union station so very easy access to the metro. Breakfast is ok no eggs or waffle stuff but it is available till 9:30. Free coffee 24/7.

Nice comfy hotel. Staff were very friendly. Morning Continental breakfast was good. Hotel personnel were continuously checking and refilling fruits and food in the breakfast bar. Safe place and near to transportation.

Although the facilities are older, but clean.
And it's near the train station and it's convenient for people who don't drive.
There are parking spaces here, the accommodation needs to be paid in addition to $ (cheap) The elevator door has hot and cold water to take!
We are very convenient for the children to drink milk!
There is a simple breakfast, fruit and drink.
The desk staff is very enthusiastic, next time will be living! The only drawback is that at night when I take things to my friends, one of them may be the cleaning staff!

Nice hotel, stayed there at 2016. First time in the USA. I am from the philippines Love it, there was a Filipino staff as well, and there was a big and small room. Nice hotel.

Not clean, hair in tub, phone looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Asian man at front desk not friendly at all. He did not say anything when I approached the counter, just looked at me. Morning clerk had a friendly and professional attitude. I do not recommend based on lack of cleanliness and customer service.

Yes, there is hot and cold water supply, and a simple breakfast is provided, is close to the mass transport, the room is slightly old, but if you go to Los Angeles and don't drive, it's a great place to save money and convenience.

This is a very nice hotel everyone was friendly real helpful very nice private room wonderful little breakfast I enjoyed the coffee not far from the Los Angeles Amtrak train station.

Good rates for the area, clean but dated rooms with regular amenities. Close to wherever you want to be in Chinatown, Downtown and East Side explorations. Conveniently situated close to transits and highways for those on the go. Plenty of restaurants and local shopping.

This place is a dump. It's really difficult to find the entrance because there are so many other businesses sharing the building and frankly it all looks sketchy. I tried to get a receipt after staying there and they were SO INCREDIBLY RUDE about it. This is the US, learn to speak English correctly and in the US if you expect people to come back to your business — — don't act bothered when people ask for assistance and then yell at them. There was no shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom. The towels were too small/thin and the room looked like it was decorated in 1970. Next time I'll take an Uber from the train station and go stay at a better property. How this place has so many good reviews is beyond me.

The best thing about this hotel — LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! This hotel is only about two blocks from Union Station, and from there you can take the Metro to different parts of the LA area. The rooms are large and include a bathroom and free continental breakfast. This place is not fancy, but it's a great deal for your money. For the same price I paid for this room at this hotel, in NYC by comparison, I would get a very small room at the YMCA that contained two bunk beds and not much else. If you are hungry, there are the Mexican restaurants of Olvera Street nearby, Chinatown in the other direction, and Phillippe's French-dipped sandwich restaurant a block away. I spent over a week here in 2015, and I'd stay here again when I'm in LA.

Carpark at lvl 2 but the door doesnt open. Need to go lobby at lvl 1 to get carpark coupon. Take lift to lvl 2 and open the door from inside. Hot water is outside at the corridor. Average facilities but the room is spacious.

Parking horrendous. Hotel in disrepair. No in-room amenities. Only one elevator in service. Bugs crawling out of bathroom vent. Pluses? Staff was nice and helpful. Continental breakfast? I've had worse…

Metro plaza hotel is right along N main Street and allemeda, very close to surrounding attractions such as little Tokyo and a food marketplace. The rooms are as advertised and the room service was timely. The younger clerk, who got us set up to stay, was very helpful.

Very convenient location near Union Station. A little on the old musty side, but comfortable and clean. They also had friendly staff.

Great motel within walking distance of train station, across from Olivera street in Chinatown and close to Phillipe's Original French Dip. Walking distance to downtown LA and Frank Gehry's opera house.

Kind of sketchy. Check-in time was unclear, rooms were a bit messy, area seems a little unsafe. That said: super cheap, and easy walking access to the spots you'll want to visit.

Clean, nice sized rooms, decent bed, comfy pillow, good customer service, and really decent Wi-Fi. Convenient location, cheapest parking. Downsides: Towels were a bit old and threadbare, no drawers, and no microwave.

For the money you pay it should have better accommodations. Pillows not good, very flat. No microwave in room. Room smelled. Shower faucet hard to use.

I was here with my family from Mexico and they like so much.

Rooms are very large and clean and there's a good TV in the room but that's all the good I can say. The hotel is in desperate need of a renovate as most of the carpets are stained. All features except the TV and bathrooms are very dated. The fire alarm in our room went off three times from 6 to 10 and this was put down to someone having broken the glass in the alarm. As our room smells strongly of smoke from previous guests I'd put it down to more likely being a guest smoking when they weren't supposed to be. The area around the hotel looks very sketchy and I feel uneasy about going out around the hotel. Also the free parking is decent but when we went to get our car we found that a gentleman in the garage seemed to be running his own valet service and accepting cars into an already packed garage. When we got to our car we found it blocked in by a car parked right behind it. Luckily the guy moved it straight away for us but the whole thing seemed very strange. We have not yet returned to know what the parking situation will be like later today. So far I would not recommend this hotel to anyone other than someone wanting a cheap bed for the night in reach of union station.

This hotel is located well within walking distance of Downtown, Financial District, Union Station, Little China, and Little Tokyo. The rooms were adequately equipped. Our views overlooked Alameda road. TV has HBO and Starz. Air conditioning gets cold. Service was very efficient. A free light breakfast is provided. Staff was courteously let us leave my bags after check out so I could eat at a nearby restaurant. Will definitely return to book the rest of my stay.

I stayed here for about 33 days and think this hotel is perfect. I literally have nothing bad to say about it. The service at the front desk is impeccable. Hotel get so many little details right, including complimentary umbrella and complimentary shoe shine.

Great hotel at the Wharf! From check-in to check-out, everyone was friendly, courteous & helpful. Will definitely stay here again if ever in SF area.

Beware of this hotel, you book online for a room with a kingsize bed and afew days later they will charge card 3X the amount they have here on their website. Please be careful. They did that to me so now I have to contact the Better Busines Bureau for advirtising one thing and charging way more. Not to mention that this hotel is like a 1 star hotel,. Please be careful! Their theifs!

You get what you pay for people! This is not a high-end hotel, so if that's what you're looking for I would go elsewhere. But, if you're looking for a clean room at a reasonable price, you will find it at the Metro Plaza Hotel. There is safe parking underneath the hotel, although they charge you $4.00, which I thought was tacky. Our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean also. Yes, the décor is dated and a bit worn, but nothing to worry about. The hotel staff was very efficient and friendly. They provide a basic breakfast in the morning also. The hotel is in a decent location, near Union Station and Olvera Street.

Quiet, inexpensive, centrally located, but nothing fancy. Fantastic for cost/benefit. Stayed here for friends' wedding.

I checked in over night and it was great. Room was great bed was just awesome big too bathroom was just as expected compared to the other generally very good price and I loved it alot.

Great place to stay if you're getting on a train in the morning. It's right across the street and a block away from Union Station. It looks like a return to the 80's. That's probably the last time any renovations were made.

Beds are horrible, the continental breakfast is cheap, just cereal. We were charged extra when we arrived. Parking area is sketchy. All around, cheap people with no customer service.

Do not book this hotel. Please read the complete review. I have just returned from LA, most of my trip was great except for the METRO PLAZA to say my stay was terrible would be an understatement. First they refused to email confirmation of my booking then when I arrived at the hotel they said I was to be charged a higher rate. I continued to debate this issue until check-out. At check-in I was told I could leave my bags behind counter as they have no storage facilities and my flight was late night. So at check-out after being charged $150 more than original booking I asked to store my luggage. The assistant said and I quote " HOTEL DOES NOT AGREE WITH DISPUTE YOU MAY NOT STEP BEHIND DESK (to store my luggage) FOR SAFETY CONCERNS YOU HAVE THREATENED THIS HOTEL (disagreed with extra charges) WE DON'T KNOW IF YOU HAVE A WEAPON IN YOUR BAG! " I asked him to write down what he had just said which he did, I suggested he was a bit crazy? The assistant then stood at attention and in full voice started singing GOD BLESS AMERICA I am smiling now but at the time I was astounded. Other reasons not to go near this half star hotel are no tea/coffee in rooms you must go down to the foyer and access a Flask be careful if you do go down the Elevator it broke down five times during my stay. The internet they advertise is dial up, twice I tried to log on it took 5 minutes to load so I went to the local Library. The also have ladies couch sitting in the foyer?

A friend and I booked the hotel for two days over the Thanksgiving holiday 11/24/11. When my friend called and booked the hotel she asked if we could check in lwhen got there which was going to be early around 6am. She also asked for the total price of the room which was quoted by Anen who was in a different country not state, $228.00 and some change, which was fine. Here's the problem: we called the day before to make sure everything was okay, we spoke to Garcia, who told us we couldn't check in to 8:30 or 9:00 am, but we could hang around and have continental breakfast. We were upset with this because we were expecting to check in at 6am. So we got to the hotel at 9am only to be told by Daniel that we couldn't check in to 3pm, we couldn't eat breakfast, and we had to pay a deposit. REALLY! Never heard of a deposit charging hotel. We were angry at this point. He knew we were angry and told us we had to wait 45 minutes more and he would get us a room asap, and I won't charge you for the extra hours. Wow! You want a cookie, Daniel. Then you get to the room and its fairly clean but the beds were like rocks and the pillows were flat like a diesel had back and forth over them for fun. Totally experience was horrible. Then they have a fleet of Mexican house keepers who cleaning the rooms while banging doors and speaking Spanish loudly. Like there's no guest in the hotel at all.
