I have stayed in a lot of hotels before but let me tell you this one is by far the best rooms are large and spacious and the Continental breakfast was amazing.

Great location nice pool breakfast was also good.

Very good service while our family stayed there for our Holiday. Very clean. One happy customer and wouldnt mine staying at best western hotel again for another holiday next year.

Our stay was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the free shuttle to and from our cruise port. We will be back and we’ll always refer this Best Western.

Neighborhood sketchy but inside is great good people.

This is my first time at a best western and most likely my last. We decided to stay at this hotel to save a little money as we were attending comic con. Overall the room/hotel was clean but — 3 stars for outdated A/C, interior and terrible customer service. The bed sheets and pillows were stiff and there was a an window looking A/C unit that barely worked over the course of the stay. Made the room humid/hot and didn't works some nights. The water pressure throughout the hotel is not good so our toilet clogged on day one. Instead of giving us a new room, the hotel staff advised to use the lobby bathroom until the next morning as "we clogged it ourselves". To top it off you need to get a key from reception every time to access the one person lobby bathroom. We decided to have service bring up a plunger and we got the toilet to work ourselves. At this point should we have charged the hotel a service fee? The area is convenient, if you would like to take public transport as the metro is right across. The area is pretty sketchy with tons of entitled "urban campers". Many asking for complete meals or asking for free coffee while we were having a McDonald's breakfast inside.

I stayed at Best Western to attend a Dance Fusion Festival. And overall I enjoyed my stay Best Western's offers amenities that other hotels do not offer for example they have a refrigerator in room even though my refrigerator was like a freezer and froze all my food but nevertheless that's a plus and any hotel. The room was relatively clean not even to the carpet was pulled the rest of the furniture looks fine for a nice day and most importantly for me to air conditioning was working fantastic and it was such a 60 degree temperature when I walked in which was definitely a plus for the hotel. Keep in mind that the parking is very difficult in Long Beach so they have a gated community and sometimes you might get locked in.

Cuz they lie about the free shuttle to the port.

The Hotel is fine, affordable, clean, secure, and the staff is good. The complementary breakfast is delicious and they have a complementary shuttle to the port. It's a good hotel at all. The only thing it's that my family and I don't felt safe at the surroundings. For one night stay was excellent!

The hotel is fine and once you are inside it is like a normal Best Western but the hotel is in a bad part of town. Felt like I was in a ghetto with homeless people and unemployed people walking around looking for something to do. I won't stay again only because of that fact. Again, the hotel was fine and the staff very helpful. Breakfast good too!

Good price. I paid $400 for 4 nights and I got the king suite. It's affordable and pretty well taken care. AC works, bed is comfy, bathrooms are clean, and there is good water pressure in the shower. Tons of restaurants nearby. The beach is only like 10-15 minutes away. The elevator needs a bit of an update, but other than that, it was great. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was very nice, clean, modernized, and has a friendly staff! It’s conveniently located to the beaches and shopping areas! It was very moderately priced! The complimentary breakfast was awesome! Great food and very attentive staff! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Long Beach area! It’s definitely a keeper!

Overall, a clean and comfortable hotel with excellent staff who are very professional and helpful. The downfall is the pool, definitely could use some improvement. The area around the hotel is questionable. Did not spend any time walking around it. A very short uber ride to the Pike Market and Shoreline Village so no need to hang around the hotel.

Very convenient with a wonderful friendly staff. They picked us up at the airport and gave us a very early check in with no extra charge. They offer transportation to the cruise port and a full breakfast to start your day right. We will use them whenever sailing from long beach.

Always stay at this hotel for the Long Beach Grand Prix in April. While the prices have gotten a bit high, the hotel has a good location to the Blue Line train that takes us right to the track entrance. The staff was good. The rooms are pretty nice for this brand of Best Western. The breakfast is ample. I look forward to staying here again next year.

It's a nice hotel, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is good. The area is not one to be walking around as the Police advised us on our first day. Stick to the efficient Metro right outside the hotel or use taxis.

Very nice and comfortable place to stay. Staff workers are so accommodating and friendly. Breakfast food was delicious. Some road noise but not that bad.

Budget Hotel with service I remembered the price. The area is not very nice at night.

A 5min from the center of long Beach, abundant choice to eat nearby (also on foot), Metro in front of the hotel, courteous staff and always present.

What a great deal. Breakfast was nice. We stayed here because they have a shuttle to the cruise port. There is a market near by for last minute items. We had pizza delivered so didnt eat at any of the nearby places. The room was very big! Very nice, and would stay again.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel the night before sailing from Long Beach, California. The hotel offers at Stay and Park option with two-way shuttle service that was very efficient. The room was larger than anticipated, with hassle-free Wi-Fi connections without limiting the number of devices. In addition, the hotel offered a continental breakfast with a choice of hot and cold food and drink. If sailing from Long Beach, this is the hotel at which to stay. Quality room, low-cost option to parking during a cruise with reliable shuttle service. (We were fortunate to walk off the cruise and immediately get a shuttle back to the hotel. ) Perfect!

If you love to exfoliate, you're in luck! Their towels are perfect for getting rid of dead skin, scratching that itch on your back and drying your body, triple action! Do you like soft pillows or hard pillows? They surprise you again by giving you a two-in-one experience with lumpy pillows like your favorite oatmeal. Speaking of oatmeal — Great news, breakfast is included! They offer a wide selection of topping choices for your granola and powdered eggs that leave you gassy for days. Can't forget Otis the Elevator, he's a little slow and may have a tremor, but at least he's reliable (in those areas). In all seriousness, what makes this hotel worth staying at is the staff. Everyone is hard working, friendly and attentive. The front desk guys are willing to chat and are helpful in every way they can be (you're the best David! ) and they offer cookies like they're on commission.

Room is very clean, a few cosmetic blemishes but very nice room. Love the fact that there's a microwave and fridge in your room. Didn't stay long enough for the breakfast and not sure if they have Wi-Fi. OK bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Definitely recommend.

If you stay here for the park and cruise apparently there is an extra charge and you have to sign up for it, it doesn't go with your room found that out the hard way…

Good and decent price for a two room suite prior to boarding a cruise ship. Come on now, we're not talking the Ritz here. Good quality for it's respectable pricing.

Very nice hotel and strategically located for travel to and from Downtown both to Long Beach. The hotel is in front of the metro station and with $7 you can travel for a day.
The hotel has spacious rooms and bathrooms, with microwave oven, coffee maker and fridge.
Breakfast is plentiful with waffle machine and pancake. Advice for anyone visiting Los Angeles to stop at this hotel.

The Best Western of Long Beach isn't in the best of neighborhoods it's on Long Beach Blvd and Pacific Coast Highway. But the property has been recently remodeled, the staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are well appointed. Great for Grindr hookups!

The metro station is right in front of the door and will take you right down to the beachfront. While the lobby left something to be desired, the room was perfect, with lots of room, a desk, a table, not as cramped as they sometimes get. The breakfast spread was great too, with decent coffee and a fresh pancake machine.

The staff at the hotel is kind and they are ready to help. The room where I stayed was nice, the bed was fine and in general it was a good room. The location of the hotel is fine though the surrounding area is not the best.

We had a great experience in our 4 night stay at BW Long Beach. The 2 most important things when we stay at a hotel are that it must be very clean, and the bed must be comfortable. It was, that is why I gave them 5 stars. We also felt safe there. Parking was also very easy. We will be back.

The room size was good and it was clean. However, older premises. Breakfast has a good selection.

Great hotel. It's kinda small, but the rooms are clean and the service is great. We only stayed one night with the park and cruise package they offer, but would come back any time we need to stay in Long Beach again.

II booked this hotel because of the convenient free shuttle to the cruise port. I'm glad I did as the entire staff was friendly and helpful. They arranged a cab for us when we wanted to go out to dinner and the shuttle driver went above and beyond by returning to the cruise port with my purse which accidently was left on the shuttle. The room was comfortable and the free breakfast had a nice selection. I stayed with my sisters and they all agreed it was a good place to stay.

The hotel was not bad at all. Parking lot had many spaces to park. Staff was helpful (although I only encountered 1 at the desk upon check-in) everything was good up until I layed on the bed. The bed was stiff as a board. The night prior, I stayed at the Best western plus in La Mesa and the bed at that location was AMAZING! I totally expected the beds to be the same, but was very disappointed that it wasn't. My boyfriend and I had a hard time sleeping.

A very nice hotel. Pleasant staff nice rooms plenty of towels and pillows. A good selection of TV Channels on the rooms television. A table set up with two chairs to get work done. Very nice.

The facility was modern and clean. The breakfast was among the best that we have seen. Everything was fine — EXCEPT that the bed was so soft that it was more like sleeping in a hammock. As a result, my wife and I both slept very poorly. And sleeping is, after all, the reason to check into a hotel.

Stayed for a business convention at the Long Beach Convention Center. The hotel was not too far away and offered a shuttle service which was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Neighborhood was sketchy and didn't look like somewhere you would find a decent hotel. The room was dated and the carpet stained-definitely could use some revamping. The pillows were my biggest complaint-terrible hard lumps! I had to go to a nearby Ross to purchase more comfortable ones. Not the worst, not the best.

I enjoyed my stay here. Thought the place was adequate for the price. We had an issue with the air conditioner and it was replaced immediately and worked perfectly after that. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning. There were many options and the food was prepared well and was tasty too.

At the time of reservation I got the info that they have airport shuttle, but when I arrived it turned out it is till four thirty only and not lax airport. I was hoping for a nice swim but the pool is open from nine to nine, so I could not have an evening nor a morning swim. The bed an pillows were really uncomfortable. The room was noisy all night due to traffic. BeeKfast was great, staff is friendly.

The area surrounding this place is bad. Not just not nice but flat out bad, like watching prostitutes be dropped off by their pimp and drug deals bad. My brother who lives in Long Beach wouldn't even come to our hotel once it wa dark because he didn't want to be in the area. No one in my traveling party felt safe or comfortable. Our room was not clean and smelt slightly of urine, there were stains on the couch in the room. The worst part was when we pulled back the blankets on the bed there was actual dirt in the bed. We called down the the front desk to get clean sheets and were told we had to pick them up ourselves because the front desk guy was alone. My husband went to pick them up and told the desk guy we needed the fitted sheet. The guy hands him two sheets without asking what size bed. Get the sheets to the room and they are queen size flat sheets instead of the king size fitted we need. We cut our losses at that point and just laid the sheets out on the bed. Needless to say we checked out the next day and will not be going back again.

The front desk is very helpful. The rooms are clean and nice for an older hotel. It is located near public transportation and they have a shuttle to the convention center. Overall it us a good hotel for the price.

I paid 200$ for two nights and I feel I would have been better off at motel 6. The hotel stinks and the rooms are very plain and basic. I the beds where dirty' and for some reason the sheets squeak. We have four pillows on our bed and they are completely different pillows. One will be soft and comfy and the other would be lumpy and ect. We have refrigerator in our room that doesn't work and I'm assuming the people that were in the room before us stole the wall art cause the only thing left on the walls were hooks. As I'm laying here at 10:15 pm there are very loud bangs (like gun shots) that keeps going off every 10 mins or so… Although I know the hotel can't control that. The people above us are so loud and I can hear where they are at in the room because the walls are so thin. I defiantly would not come back to this hotel. Not worth it in my opinion.

The hotel inside is nice. It looks recently redone. The breakfast is really good, no bacon but I suppose I'll live. The staff has been extremely helpful. The location I don't think is great. The good thing about the hotel is that nearly all the parking is underground. So you aren't dealing with the outside location much. Not far from the hotel is a Walmart and a Chipotle. That's where we went to eat and get food for the hotel. If your on the edge, just go for it!

I've left one other review before today, however, I felt obligated to do so on this Best Western. The front desk staff were ambivalent. The partially-used toilet paper rolls made me sad. The Wi-Fi was as slow as my nanna on a Sunday afternoon. I was constantly worried about my car being broken into in the parking garage. You do NOT want to leave your room once the sun goes down. This is not the type of neighborhood you should be in if you don't know street smarts or you're foreign. I pray no foreigners find this place and decide to wander off into the city on foot… only to become a victim of gang violence. The amount of people loitering the streets is unacceptable. Be very careful if you must stay. By all means, there are a hundred other places in the SoCal region that are 1000 times better than this. Make other arrangements!

I normally never write a review, but I think people need to honestly know what this hotel is like. I like most research a place before staying there. Online there are many reviews that give this hotel 3-4 stars with positive reviews. So I figured why not, and booked my stay. Later to come to regret it. This is very outdated Best Western. The bed had an old lumpy mattress with very low quality bedding. Despite having 4 lamps in the room the lighting was very poor. The bathroom hair dryer didn't work. The noise from the public trax station and traffic was very loud. Not to mention the walls are very thin. The elevator always smelled of cigarette smoke. I stayed 3 nights and never once was the bedding actually changed. Even when I purposefully did not put the card on my bed stating I didn't want clean linen. The free breakfast was okay. Not much of a selection and the eggs were always cold. Basically save your money and stay at a motel for the same kind of quality of stay. Not worth the prices they charge for the rooms. So disappointing for a Best Western.

The rooms are simple and do the job. They are what you would expect of a budget hotel. Currently they are remodeling the lobby and its starting to look pretty nice. The construction however was a slight pain getting around since I had a lot of gear since I was on a job. The overall experience was pretty good and if I have a job around there again, I would be fine with staying there.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were willing to work with me and my group of 6 with all of our requests. The shuttle service was also very flexible and the staff did great at accommodating their services for our needs.

Front desk staff was courteous and efficient. Building is in renovation but my room smelled heavily like it was old and worn out. Bed was comfortable. Tv remote had some sort of drip stains down the sides. Carpet had 4 red stains with trailing drip marks. Furniture is really outdated. Light right is located right next to the hotel. The stains in the carpet are enough to make me wonder what the heck went on in the room and I will not return.

The rooms and property were ok, a little dated but presented well at face value… The thing that hit me was the smell in our room! The room reeked like garlic and body fluids and even with the window open and fans on, it didn't dissipate. The bed was nice and soft but the bottom sheets were not pulled down around to cover the mattress beneath. In to the bathroom the floor was sticky with pee around the base of the toilet. When I pulled the "clean seal" off the toilet and lifted the lid there was poop smeared on the seat. The shower had black streaks down the tile that easily rinsed off when I tried. And the hair dryer was sticky and finger printed. Nice TV and decent furnishings, just not the clean I'd typically expect from a Best Western.

I was expecting much better than this from Best Western hotel. 1) : it was located in gedo place. 2) : the pillows were in auful shape 3) : Room carpets are in very poor condition 4) : I booked room with 2 beds, they gave me Room with one bed, if I want to have 2 beds, I have to pay $10 extra. Lol 5) : furnitures are from 19th century. Lol so ugly. Making story short, it was not worth even $30 per night, but they charged me over $100.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were very impressed with your cruise line parking/shuttle service. Thank you for taking good care of us. We will certainly return to your motel in the future.

We stayed here from 11/25/15 thru 12/1/15. The desk clerks were very courteous, friendly & helpful. The young lady who took care of the breakfast room did a fantastic job. The breakfast area was always very busy — there were multiple cruise passengers staying here and it was a holiday weekend. Regardless of the number of peoplle in the dining room the selections provided did not run out. She was constantly checking & refilling what was getting low. Our room was well appointed and well taken care of. We would definitely stay here agin if we were back in Long Beach, CA.

The hotel is good, but the neighborhood in which it is located do not therefore depends on the needs of each person.

The hotel was very close to the freeway and of the places I needed to go. The breakfast was ok not enough options but ok. Pancakes had no taste since its a machine making them. But making ur own waffles is ok. Cereal, coffee, orange n apple juice, fruit. Activia yogurts not my choice. Friendly staff. If you go late at night theres a chance theres not enough parking for u downstairs and u might have to stay on the entrance side. But I dont know what would have happened if I wouldnt have found the last parking spot left, as I was out all day and of course would return late to sleep. They could find a way to mark the spots per room. Overall place was clean, fresh smell, clean towels, cleaned overall, all we cared about was getting fresh towels we didnt need them to clean the room each day as we had our stuff everywhere. Dates were 11/12/15, 4 nights.

Very good hotel and breakfast included. Near the metro and the beach of Long Beach. The only detail is the area, it is not good to walk at night.

We stayed at the hotel while my husband was an outpatient for eye surgery. The room had a refrigerator and microwave so I could prepare light meals for him as he was supposed to remain quiet. The air condition worked well, and quietly. The staff were courteous and helpful, so we had a comfortable and pleasant stay during a stressful time.

Being that my first two days in southern ca visiting my family were horrible, I was so happy to finish my vacation off here. They are very fair priced, the rooms were super clean. The staff was very nice and the bed was sooooooooooo comfy! it's close to everything, I will be coming here everytime I come to visit my family from now on.

Slow staff dont know if they just dont care or if they just hate there job have been waiting over an hour for a room.

Accommodating staff and nice facility centrally located in a good area with plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. The rail metro station is just across the street giving access to the whole city! Only down side was that the elevator was completely fried while I was there. Not their fault though. It was time for a brand new elevator and that should be installed by the time you check in. Be sure to visit the Queen Mary and the "Beach" of Long Beach.

Here's the real deal. Pros: the staff is fantastic. It's *right* by the metro, so getting downtown or to the beach is super easy. The room was srsly gigantic. We are clean eaters, and the breakfast did have some options that were alright (hard-boiled eggs, fruit). Speaking of clean, the room itself was the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in. For real. They have one heckuva cleaning staff! The bed was firm, but comfortable. The hotel itself was quiet, as hotels go. Cons: the neighborhood is fine during the day, and one local told us that next to the metro the police have a big presence, so it's usually safe. But. Once it's dark, that part of town is a totally different place. While we were never in any actual danger, my husband and I were legitimately adventuring in South Central CA. We saw things in that neighborhood, ranging from people smoking crack on their patio, to a gang banger who was packing, talking about "babysitting" 4 "toddlers" and 3 "newborns". Also, the pillows were these really really gigantic mounds of ridiculous fluff and lumps. I did request a smaller pillow, and the staff found me one that was a bit better. There is a cluster of habitations behind the hotel, where someone was blaring music every night, until about 10pm. If you want to sleep before then, maybe bring some ear plugs :) Summing up: if you've got an open mind, this is a good deal on a nice-ish hotel.

Long Beach is hard because if your not downtown your somewhat in some weird areas. I liked this Hotel. Good parking, clean rooms, checked for bed bugs could not see any, comfortable beds, GREAT Staff. They are very helpful. Rooms are HUGE.

Very comfortable hotel. We used the stay and park before a cruise. Martin drove us to the ship and back. He does a great job. We couldn't figure out how to set the alarm clock in our room and he was there within a minute to take care of it. Check-in was easy. The bed was comfortable and the room was big. We left our car at the hotel during the cruise and saved a bunch of money.

For the price, comfort, and accommodation of the shuttle, and parking package if you are going on cruise or flying out. I would stay here again. The wife loved the bed, she could kick me far away from her so she didn't have to hear me snore, cause it's huge, "that's what she said" and they don't transfer movement when either tossed and turned, or got up. Their breakfast had a simple but nice variety if good eats. Even a make it yourself fresh waffle set up. But make sure u leave them in about 35 sec longer after the beeper goes off, or by the time u get em to your room, the bottom will be soft, and your wife will claim you messed up her food cause she wouldn't go see what they had for herself.

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The price for the hotel is cheaper than staying by the convention center, plus there's a breakfast at the hotel, which you won't find at hotels near the convention center. There's also a fridge and microwave in the room. All the rooms are smoke free and NOT smelly! There's a shuttle that will take you to the convention center and back. Shuttles don't run past 4:30 pm but it's really easy to take the train back to the hotel for only $1.50.

Everyone who worked there was extremely helpful and friendly. The shuttle service to the convention center and the airport were life savers. The water pressure in the shower was low but besides that the stay was wonderful.
