This motel deserves more like 3 MAYBE 3.5 stars. It's a bit run down and the location isn't the best. However, the rooms are clean, affordable, and pretty comfy. I do highly recommend getting an upstairs room. Those things being said, the management and staff were AWESOME! I have stayed at A LOT of motels and hotels over the years, and there are going to be issues here and there. BUT… I have NEVER seen such a hands-on and caring manager. The manager here, Heather, went above and beyond to make sure we left as super satisfied customers. She truly cares about her guests and definitely made it a 5 STAR EXPERIENCE. Thank you!

Cleanliness was questionable at best. Room smelled musty, funky like a lot of dust. I paid for premium Wi-Fi and it was down. Called front desk a few times to resolve the problem but got no response. Experience could of been better.

I have stayed at this motel many times in the past, however recently I just had a very brief stay of one night. I checked in on a Wednesday night, actually technically Thursday around 1am or so. The woman behind the glass spoke to me through the night window. She was very informative and genuinely seemed like she wanted to help me. I have stayed at countless hotels and motels in my life, so I tend to scrutinize the staff's customer service skills. I do that because as a consumer, its my belief that when it comes to how a person behind the desk treats me, they should be as professional and hospitable as humanly possible… I know that the more the hotel costs, generally the better the service, but this woman treated me very nice and I was a little surprised when she said, "Let me see if I can get you a lower rate on this room. " She saved me close to $10. Very cool. The room was the basic Motel 6 decor we all know… and the room and bathroom were clean. Clean towels. Free soap. Cable TV. WI-FI, but you have to pay for it… either $2.99 or $4.99 for "high speed". I'd stay there again. One tip… if you are a single female and planning on staying for several nights, try to avoid (in a friendly way) any men who work there. You'll be saving yourself a potential headache, trust me… several females have commented to me about certain staff members who are like Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, so just be cautious.

Dirty room. Found pubic hairs in the bathroom in the tub and on the floor. Floor was not cleaned in room couldn't step without something sticking to my foot (hairs, crumbs, etc). Wi-Fi you have to pay ($5) for that claims to be high speed but is by no means such. Lack of electrical outlets. But, no bed bugs, security guard was present, and they are pet friendly.

The price says it all cheap. There was old soap shower on the top of the shower with hair in it. I took pictures. The toilet seat is broken and slides. The toilet paper holder is sticking out because it's too big for the cut out and to deep for the wall. I took photos. My wife had surgeries on her spine. We asked for extra pillows. The manager was such an assist. Said we don't do this it I will give you 2. We have stayed at many motel 6 around the country and have never been treated so bad. All in my party has back pain from the worn out bed. I will never stat at this one again. I hate to write bad reviews but this is bad. I'm a Google contributor also.

Cockroaches crawling on floor when I arrived, black mold in the bathroom, and hair on the toilet seat. The staff was awesome. And the hot tub was huge! The premises were clean. It seems like the poor housekeeping staff works tons of overtime. The rooms have been remodeled, but the the bedside table and desks need to be replaced. I will not be staying here again because of the cockroaches.

Staff was friendly and quick. I booked online and check in was easy, but they said there was only smoking left. The room was basic and looked clean, but badly smelled like cigarette smoke. The bed cover had cigarette burns and also smelled bad. If the room had been aired out and the bed cover replaced before I checked in, it would have been fine.

Let me start by saying the staff was very friendly and did all that they could. The manager, was the opposite. He tried to be kind, but it came across as distaste for having to work. As well as reprimanding an employee in front of a room full of customers for something out of that employee's control. The room was maintained. There was hair in common, general areas. There was no mold and the bathroom seemed clean. However, the lack of room amenities was appalling for the cost of such a room. To be charge 40% more of a regular rate based on increased traffic and to not have the following was a robbery of our money. No fridge, no coffee maker, no alarm clock, no iron, not even accessible plugs near the bed for charger cords! The only plug we could use was behind the TV, which we found no use for regardless. I was very upset by my stay at this Motel6 and will hardly ever stay at another one again. The only reason I gave a 2 star rating was because of the friendly front desk staff and the comfy bed and pillows.

This motel took in the homeless with their thirty day vouchers. My boyfriend Sam, being one. One with a job where he works six days a week, keeps to himself, respectable, clean, and at work more than in the room. Without fair warning, or an explanation the motel pack his stuff up, and he was told he would need pick up his stuff from their office after work, and that he was being moved to another motel.

The staff was outstanding. They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond their normal duties. The downside to the Motel is the location. The area is a bit sketchy. However, I always felt safe. The room was clean and comfortable, more so than some $300+ a night Hotels I have stayed at in the area. It was perfect for me as I was doing business in the area.

Staff was awesome. Housekeeping was excellent. Location was perfect and rate extremely affordable. There was only one flaw in our entire stay and that was the manager of that location Craig. I cannot ever remember meeting a more unpleasant representative of the hospitality industry. My children and I experienced him not only yelling at, but verbally assaulting his staff in a very un — professional manner! My oldest actually witnessed him throwing an object at one of his female employees and was terribly upset by it because he was taught to respect all people as a child. His attitude towards the guests was not very inviting and I would only return to this location if Craig the Manager (I feel myself questioning Motel 6's integrity and human resources dept regarding this hire) is no longer present at that location. For that matter at ANY of the future locations I might consider staying at. Other than this issue, we had a very pleasant stay… C. Palomino.

Checkin process was good. The problem we had was the noise of the people staying above and on each side of us. There was an argument between the lady next to us and a man, he was yelling at her swearing very loudly. The police came and ended up taking the woman away. The neighbor on the other side of us was selling drugs. So many people came to his door for a quick transaction. The door was opening and shutting until the police showed up for the other incident. There were people digging in the dumpsters, stray cats all over. We found a cap to a syringe in our room. The bedspread had burn holes all over it. Needless to say we did not feel safe all evening long and could not get out of there fast enough! I can’t believe I actually paid to stay here!

The wost experience I have ever had in a hotel. The toilet in room 220 was not working right. So I went to the front desk to ask for assistance. The female worker came to my room and checked the toilet. She saw it was working after W Jiggling the handle. I asked to just be moved to another room because I didn't feel I should have to deal W faulty toilet. She then said it would be a big hassle. I decided to not give her a hard time since she seem like she really want to hassle W accommodating my request. Then at 630am. The toilet got stuck again. This time over flowing over the floor. Went down to the reception and it was a older man this time. He came into my room W a plunger and yelled at me for trying to fix it. He said he couldn't have me in the room anymore. He said he would refund my money for both days which was $141 and now waiting for the refund. This guy that was working on the morning of February 10th at 6am should be excused immediately from working at motel 6.

The rooms are large and they allow animals. They have a pool and spa. It is in a good location.

They have a pretty organized and secure motel. Its in a over all good location. There's all the freeway on ramps there too.

It was a pleasant enough stay for the price. But everyone knows that you don't visit a place for the bed. The location was perfectly suited to my needs and all in all I had a lovely time.

Unfortunately my my stay at Motel 6 in Santa Ana was a nightmare. I had reservations for the weekend for me and my girlfriend who were celebrating our 5 year anniversary. I had planned on asking her to marry me Sunday afternoon shortly after she was arriving in town. I called the office to your question earlier room service and the manager Craig blew up in my face over nothing. He showed up at my door minutes later tell me I have one hour to get out are you going to call the cops. I simply asked them on what grounds are you kicking me out and he said he didn't need a purpose you don't like the way I was talking to him. Well I don't think anybody would like the way somebody talks to them especially when you're screaming at them I said. Craig said he would refund my money to come to the office in a half hour. I went up to the office to get my money and he said that they would return it to my credit card within 3 to 5 business days I told him I needed the cash now it was a very special day for me and my girlfriend and he was ruin it and going to destroy it without refunding my money in cash. He was very non sympathetic towards my circumstance.

Mad We came to stay because my husband has a doctors appointment in the morning near by Santa Ana. We drove 5 hours and got here about 9:45 pm. We went to eat came back to the room and by 1:45am my husband woke me up saying something was biting him. He had 12 bites on his back. We looked in the bed, on the pillows and we couldn't see anything. We kept looking, right on the floor by the sink where he removed his shirt was a bed bug. He went to the front desk and showed them the bites asked to move rooms but they said they couldn't. He asked to refund the room they said they couldn't. He asked to speak to the manager and he was told the manager was not there and there's nothing she could do. He came back to the room found the bug recorded it and took it back to the front desk showed it to her and she called the manager who informed her he would not move us or reimburse us. We called the non-emergency police line and two cops came out. They seen the bites but said it was a civil matter. The cops spoke to the attendant who was standing there with my husband and asked her if the manager is refusing to move us or reimburse us, she said yes. We moved our belongs to the car. Even asked the officers if we could sleep in the car and they said it was not a good idea since it was a bad area. It's now 3:45am I worked a 8 hour shift and drove 5 hours to get here and I can't sleep. We stayed up sitting on chairs all night. I have video of the bites and the bed bug.

If I could not leave a star I would. Owner of this motel 6 is trash! Why he has a business who knows? Doesn't know how to deal with customers, had an attitude when I called mind to add I have not been here yet hasn't seen my face. Then he started yelling about me not getting a refund. Had a few problems with reservations… which mine got cancelled not knowing. Not only that I called 40 mins prior but yet know one said anything. Better business burrow will be looking into this.

Ridiculamente caro. Or a bubble of shampoo, just a mini soap. Wi-Fi is paid extra. Bathroom super old. Shower I came back to the shoulder. Used by emergency.

I have stayed at Motel 6 all over the country a few years back when I went on a cross country trip. This Motel 6 on First Avenue in Santa Ana is one of the nicest I've seen. The room was clean and welcoming, with a pleasant citrus fragrance. All of the amenities expected were available. But what separates this motel out the most is the great customer service we received. Craig and the rest of the staff were professional and friendly, and went above and beyond to assist us when we had a problem with noisy upstairs people. Highly recommended, will be back if I am in the area.

Had stayed at this same Motel 6 five years ago and had a very good experience then, and now as well. Very convenient location. Room was clean and made-up nicely, staff was friendly. Parking was convenient. Overall a very nice experience with no complaints!

The concierge was delightful and very helpful over the phone. Was quickly given our room keys upon arrival and directions to our room were quick and concise. However, the reason I am giving this Motel 6 review 4-stars instead of 5, is because when I first walked into the room, there was a small roach on the wall. I do not feel this is a common occurrence, but things happen.

Very Plain Jane Room, not even a picture on the walls. Room was clean, however, the tub did appear to have a ring in it from the shower. Towels are great if you want to sand down some wood. What was most disappointing was the lack of convenient electrical outlets. You can not work at the table with a computer unless on battery. Only 2 outlets in the room. 1 hidden behind the TV, w 1 outlet available, and the other was hidden behind the beside table. Neither one had USB power connections on them. Come on now, get with the times. I will say that the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. That is the most positive aspect of this location.

I decided to book the room via the Motel 6 app which saved me about 20 bucks on the cost of the room. Check-in was a breeze and the staff were super friendly they even address me by my first name I felt very comfortable being there. The room was exceptionally clean and it looked exactly like how the picture was on the app. Nice wooden floors a nice 32 inch flat screen LCD TV brand new air conditioner clean beds and linens it was amazing best Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. Pretty good coffee in the morning and check out wasn't until 12 which was delightful not to have to leave until noon. Again best Motel 6 I've ever stayed in I recommend it to anyone 5 star.

This experience was a much-needed breath of fresh air! After being dissatisfied elsewhere, we looked to the Motel 6. The manager was understanding and pleased to accommodate us in a bright, comfortable room. We were able to check in a bit early since the room was clean, and we felt very safe and relaxed. We had everything we needed and felt pampered by the staff. What a joy!

The bed was comfortable and room looks nice now that they are upgrading them. Just needs a small fridge in the rooms.

Motel 6 was great. Comfortable stay and everything was clean.

Minimalistic service but you pay for what you get. Decent TV size and beds are nice. The room is tidy but it can get chilly so bring extra blankets if you have thin blood.

Is a place clean and has much tranquility to be comfortable.

Right when I pulled in Santa Ana police arrived as well. There was a lot of cops on sight. No Wi-Fi. Price was different than what was on the website.

Highly recommend NOT STAYING they steal your belongings if your not a regular! Very rude staff! Lots of Drug addicts & Homless people around the area. Room was ok, had a bit of a smell to it.

The new look is retro cool. Room had a fair price. Would go there again. Better coffee choice would be nice.

The ladies seem to know wat they are doing, the men on staff are unprofessional. The Manager threatened me, for asking about the second reservation I had to make because the first youngman did not make it after he said he did! The Manager needs rehab! Sorry for whoever makes him mad!

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff is miserable. They go through your belongings while you are gone. We stayed here as a group, and they hide the coffee machine until after we leave in the morning. There is no turndown service, so don't expect clean sheets on the bed, they simply put the old ones back on. If you request clean bedding, they will throw you out stating excessive linens usage as the reason. The beds have old urine stains hidden under the sheets, and the entire room stinks of overdoses and prostitution. there are motels less than a block away with nicer rooms, enjoyable staff, and better prices.

This was my first experience booking a motel room, let alone doing a walk-in, so I was unsure of how it would go. I wanted to get a non-smoking room on the first floor, but naturally the consequence of not booking in advance was the opposite. The associates at the counter were nice and prompt with booking me a room, payment was easy and the price was fairly reasonable. I even got a complimentary Wi-Fi code due to the lack of non-smoking rooms, that was nice of them. Yes, the room did have the cigarette smell, but having been raised around it before, I was able to de-sensitize myself to it (at least it wasn't active smoke), and I did find the room adequately taken care of otherwise, with clean towels and linens, a good sink and tub, and decent table space for my work. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Checkout was relatively easy, I just handed in my key in the morning and I was off. If I got the ideal room I wanted and it was taken care of to the same level as what I experienced, I would easily give these guys an extra star. I wouldn't mind giving these guys another shot next time, and I'll be sure to book in advance!

Looking around I thought this motel 6 was going to be scary looking inside the rooms. I was wrong, it's very nice and clean. Staff was very polite to my friends and I even to myself! I kind of had a bad attitude walking in because I was exhausted from our long drive to visit Chapman University. But as soon as I walk in I was treated with a very nice young lady and she made me laugh with jokes that I quickly over came my "IDGAF" attitude! I don't normally do this but I like this place and recommend people to stay here regardless of how the surrounding looks like.

Everything is nice and clean, staff is nice and polite, absolutley would recommend this hotel to others.

About the 4th of July I had the best experience at motel 6 all the staff was curtious like family I wad treated specially the asistant manager. Jackie made sure we where taken care of this is motel I will go to next time I am in the area.

Overall I was pleasantly impressed, the only improvements are 2 minor ones: too much air freshener used so we had to air out the room all evening; and the outside lights were so bright it was like daylight all night long (lower wattage or motion activated would be a welcome change). Neighbors were quiet on all sides. Felt safe there, front desk staff was excellent. Love the website reservation process and AARP discount. Glad there's a laundry facility, a nice bonus even though I didn't need it this trip.

Rating= Negative — 5 If you like Broken heaters, Cat/Dog Urine soaked carpeting “masked in carpet freshener”, waiting 4 hours for a blanket, bums banging with a hammer on the wall at 520am, rude front desk guys who think their names are “secret information”, and rude Managers who accuse you of “abusing the front help”! Then this is the perfect hotel to stay for you! (Don’t get fooled by the $49 price…. Its really not worth it! ) Laura at the front desk was friendly, helpful and professional (perhaps she should be the new Manager! ). Btw. A "Form letter apology" don't Pay the Bulldog. Bro! Name should be "CatBox Hotel! ".

I was very satisfied. I guaranteed the room with a credit card and when I confirmed the day I expected to arrive, they were all ready for me. The clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was pleasant and did NOT smell weird the way so many motel rooms do. The room also had a small table and comfortable chair which was very nice for writing and dining. I felt very safe and secure here as the motel is constantly monitored. It is inexpensive and I was quite content with the quality.

Very nice pool with hot water rich preferred.
