My husband and I were coming into town on a plane to take our kids to Disneyland and stay at this hotel. When our plane got canceled we knew we wouldn't make it in on time to get into our hotel so we called this hotel to see if we could cancel our room and if there was a chance to get a refund back due to us not being able to make it. The manager said that we will only be charged a $50 fee for canceling last minute the way we did which we were okay with paying the fee instead of the full price of the room. The next morning we noticed the hotel charged us FULL price and not the $50 fee they told us they'd only charge. My husband called the manager right away and explained the situation. He spoke with the GM when the GM explained to him that the manager we spoke with the night before was new and didn't know the rules on how those things work. The GM said that they had to charge full price even after we were already told something different and they didn't even have the decency to call us and let us know! I am extremely disappointed with the service at this hotel. I understand there is rules for canceling a room but because we had someone tell us that night it would only be a $50 charge and to see the next morning a full charge without even being informed, that is such a horrible thing to do to someone that was your customer. No one should ever be treated this way. My husband and I are taking it into our own hands now to make sure we are heard in this situation, its not about the money, its about how easily they can lie to you and still rip you off without you realizing it. If that manager was really in training that night no matter what happened it is required for the GM to take the hit on whatever was promised from that manager. Bottom line, DONT go to this hotel. They lie, they're rude, and they don't do what they said they're going to do.
