Small issue with check in once I arrive with my friend. But thankfully we got in fine after. The rooms are nice just AC isn't too cold.

The price for extended stays is unbeatable, and it turns out that if you book directly with them for a month or more and decide to leave earlier, you will still get the discounted monthly rates. The rooms are Ok, clean beds and bathrooms, nice little kitchen (you can ask for utensils and pans), but the carpet may have stains. The free express breakfast is essentially hot drinks and some granola bars and packaged pastry.

Absolute dump. I had to stay here to be close to work and regretted it from the first three minutes here. The lobby smells like cigarettes and pot and the elevator, which I'm sure was hot-boxed, is covered in graffiti. No coffee or water in the rooms and completely outdated. Grossly stained towels and walls. I'm praying I don't get bed bugs. People yelling in nearby rooms and the lovely aroma of pot everywhere even though I chose a non smoking room. It's scary and dirty. Please don't stay here.

Good service with attentive host, and clean room with nice space, however when we tried to call because of our deposit not being given back they hung up on us.

Good little hotel. Nothing fancy, no frills. Comfy bed though. Booked a room last minute online, got called like 20 minutes later that they didnt have that room. Requested queen non smoking, said all they had was queen smoking left. Had to take it but they didn't offer any compensation. Slept well, served its purpose.

As a matter of fact, last month, Trip Advisor & Google informed me my review of ESA Yorba Linda, reviewed on 05/23/2017, "A Bit Of Home Away From Home, " had a record number of readers for 1 month (1, 434! 89% USA, 2% Italy, 2% Canada, 6% Other Countries). My hat goes off to Tori at the front desk for always being there for me. On Monday, March 18, 2018, I was hospitalized, having contracted Necrotizing Fasciitis (flesh-eating bacteria). I noticed some pain in my left thumb on Thursday, just prior to my Friday check-in to ESA Yorba Linda. By Saturday night my left thumb had turned partially black, and the pain was at 100 on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being EXCRUCIATING. I managed to drive to the ER 3am Sunday. My surgeon informed me if I had waited another 24 hours, I might not have made it. On Tuesday, I asked my friend, John to gather my personal effects from ESA Yorba Linda, because I had a feeling the bed I was laying on was going to be a familiar spot for me (4 surgeries & 1 month familiar). I advised John to seek assistance from Tori at the front desk. As predicted, Tori took care of everything that needed to be taken care of, and my mind had one less thing to worry about.

This place is great for mini vacation. Pet friendly! Only thing missing is a pool.

Do not stay here unless you like being harassed by the cops on a daily basis!. There have been several cases that are fowl against this hotel. The one heavy set blonde lady that used to work at the front desk is very rude!. Horrible experience.

The room was clean except for some soap scum in the shower. My biggest complaint is the beds being hard as a rock. Other than that it was a great stay. Wonderful staff.

Place is great for a long weekend or just get away. Shopping, food, etc, etc… Walking distance… We had a good stay. Fair price. 8 out of 10.

Looked at like a thief for using promotions for saving money they provided. Desk clerk specifically said you saved 15% and looked at me like I was trying to get over on them. I will never stay at ESA ever again!

Very bad experience — the overcharged fees have not bee returned yet! I have checked out the rooms 8 days ahead than my original schedule, and I have prepaid 1 month fees, when I checked out, the staff forgot to change my checkout date, they do not accept their mistakes, and have not have my 700$ refunded yet.

Service not at par as advertised, very slow in service. Front office needs welcoming attitude. This is my first time here, paid in advance and booked a month ago, my two rooms were not ready on arrival, had to wait in lobby. I recommend stay at Residence Inn just 2miles across highway.

I always enjoy staying at this location. It's quiet, yet near the freeway for easy access. The customer service is friendly and helpful. There are food and drink choices nearby, or perhaps a quick trip to the nearby Sprouts, in case you want to grab something and head back to the room. Plenty of gas stations in this area too. There is a really nice view of the sunset and sunrise if you're lucky enough :)

I really like the rooms and all the people at the front desk. The housekeeping staff can be a little rude, but overall I would totally recommend this place. Very quiet. I wish there was more than muffins and packages of oatmeal for breakfast, but I can leave with that.

Let me make this clear… this rating does not reflect the hotel or its service in anyway. I give this place a low rating because every morning there are local police who wait in the parking lot and follow people out and pull them over. I am not on probation or anything like that and they searched my car anyway… and interrogated me about why I was there. NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS! Long story short they wasted their own time as well as mine, and then let me go about my way. Other than that the hotel is pretty decent.

As with most things you get what you pay for so don't expect too much more. Extended check-in times if someone's ahead of you and if your in a non smoking room and your suspected of smoking the maid will go into your room without knocking and claim it accidentally if your standing there naked. Also be sure not to be seen talking to any law enforcement officials regardless of your standing with them because hotel policy I'm told says that any police contact is reason to make you leave and keep the room cost and deposit even if you had not even made it to the room. Thanks H. B. Es. Great attitude. Way to treat a customer already mistreated by the other property where the reservation was not honered. I am no longer a customer and only here for friend.

Had a good time here overall is a good place, all the staff was very nice and helpful, but little details are what stopped me from giving 5 stars, the main door is dated and dirty, that gives the first impression, the room came with kitchenette, but you have to order all the equipment, that was a little inconvenient, there was coffee pouches on the ac vents from previous visitors, the remote control was very dirty and sticky, took a while to clean it thoroughly, the toilet was old and had some rust buildup, I understand its supposed to be an affordable place, but those things are basic in any place. If you overlook those details you'll have a great stay, the bed was very comfortable and big, the room was clean and everything in the kitchen worked.

The hotel exterior looks new but not inside. The bed sheets, blanket and towel are old. The pillows are flat. I had a hard time to sleep first night because the look of bedding. The facility is CLEAN and staff is nice. If you get a good rate and don't mind an older facility. It is still a decent place to stay but just don't expect too much. It is definitely better than Motel 6.

Great service nice rooms with kitchen weekly maid service. Pet friendly nice area off 91 freeway@weir canyon. Smoking rooms available, I like King suite rather than queen it's bigger.

Spacious room that was very clean and felt homey. The amenities were very much appreciated and well stocked. The morning breakfast/coffee bar thing was great! Lots of good, quick eats to choose from and great coffee. I would love to stay here for a longer time next time I come through town, and just might try to do that!

Tried to tell me I didn't pay for a night when in the end it was only the taxes that I owed. I had booked through an online site but still, taxes were like 20 bucks, compared to 130? Yeah, f-that, glad I caught it.

I ended up booking another hotel for the night. I booked through Priceline and they have me a smoking room. I don't smoke! They didn't have any other available rooms, so left.

You have to know what you're getting into when you going with one of these places. It's not the Hilton. But the staff is nice, accommodating, try to help as much as they can – and the rooms are generally clean. Do you have your riffraff here and there, but the staff does their best to put them away from the paying customers. I lose sh*t. All the time. I'm like Hansel and Grettle — little trail of things left behind. Brand new iPhone 6 Plus. — thought it was a total goner in this place. Found. Tablet. Found. It's inexpensive but honest. I know, it shocked me too.

The front desk is friendly and the rooms are decent. But the police are always hanging around being nosy. The breakfast is nothing great.

Crime scene. Cops are always on site and killed innocent guest sitting in his car! Valerie below is 100 correct. I've seen this guest. An innocent man many times and he would just hang out in his car. It's not a crime. Police are constantly looking to cause trouble and show up in full roit gear. It's a safe area without the police harassing you. Never in my life have I been harassed by police before. The cops spent a full day to cover their own tail and turned the whole parking lot into a crime scene. If u parked there you were sol. So sad an innocent man lost his life because of hot headed cops.

The Yorba Linda Police fatally shot a 30yr old man at Extended Stay America Hotel in Yorba Linda on February 15th, 2016 at around 1:00PM. The 30yr old man could have been innocent since he was still considered a “suspect, ” and still just considered a suspect. The Yorba Linda Police Officer shot the man so badly that he died 30 minutes later in the hospital. Some people are convinced that the hotel is now haunted by the ghost of the man that the police shot. Look up: Shooting at Yorba Linda Extended Stay Hotel. Sadly, this looks like a case of Police Brutality. I strongly discourage anyone from staying at Yorba Linda Extended Stay Hotel because the police here are paranoid when Yorba Linda is a very safe area. The Yorba Linda Police circle around the Hotel Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Night, and the police ask anyone that goes to their car what they’re doing, why they’re doing, and if you’re going to the store to buy groceries then the police ask you where you’re going. If you decide to stay at this hotel then be ready to be excessively followed around/ harassed, stalked, treated like a criminal, and be ready to get bullied because these police bully people and use intimidation tactics. It’s not right that the police treat Yorba Linda like Comptom or the bad areas of Los Angeles because Yorba Linda is SAFE and MOST People AREN’T criminals. Someone should contact the ACLU American Civil Liberties Union for violation of our rights.

Room was spacious however terrible front desk service. The hotel attendant did not know how to use the computers and we almost had two charges on the card. The hallways smelled like garbage and smoke. The smoking room had a cigarette bud on the floor in the room and cig ferrets ashes in the bathtub. Overall not the best hotel experience.

Nice area. Decent hotel too bad its by a freeway. Manager was very nice other staff were not as friendly. It is right next to the freeway so not best for light sleepers. Big trucks wizz by constantly is a very busy freeway so dont go it if you quite rest. I think staff do the best they can with what they are given. My room was pretty clean decent size. The main negative is the people who stay there far too many smokers and they really disrespect the place and foul up the air. So its very hard to get a non smoker room that hasnt been smoked in. When I was there the downstairs carpet was pretty messed up like it was flooded the first floor hallway smelled like dog pee. Again bad customers who let their dogs pee on the carpets and sneak cigerettes anywhere with no respect for others.

Service is horrible. Staff has no idea how yo do their own jobs. Rooms smell like piss. 10 TV channnels only and every single channel is blurry. Bunch of low lifes and bum hanging around all day and all night, inside and out. More like housing for low income rather than a hotel. Pet urine stains in the lobby and halls. Do not stay here.

It's been a while since I've reviewed a hotel establishment, but I felt strongly about writing something about this Extended Stay (located in Yorba Linda). My fiancée has had plenty of visits with this chain establishment and it is because of this she chose our stay here. Unfortunately, this particular establishment does not live up to her sisters in the LA area. Our first complaint came from the miscommunication in making reservations over the phone. Firstly, the operator stated that the branch we originally wanted to stay in was completely booked (Imperial Highway) ; which is understandable. What was confusing is that when we booked a stay at their Yorba Linda branch, the operator kept giving us directions to the Imperial Highway branch to check-in; even when we asked repeatedly if it was correct. Of course, upon arriving at their sister branch, they were full and we had to ask for directions to the Yorba Linda branch. Secondly, we made reservations for a Non-smoking room with a King Sized bed; only to check-in and find our room had two twins. This was just NOT good business for us. If they didn't have what we requested, we should have been informed BEFORE we checked-in and traveled to their hotel. Objectively speaking, I will continue this review with a professional demeanor and omit as much emotion as possible. That being said, upon arriving to their hotel, the parking seemed a little inadequate for the size of the building.

No pool. At least it had a bath tub. Rooms were clean. No coffee makers in the room you have to call front desk for that cups, etc.

Unfortunately, stating that you have high speed internet doesn't make it true. I got less than 1 Mbps on good days, on bad I couldn't even connect. I had to go down to the front desk to ask for silverware, plates, and cooking items. As if someone is going to steal the cheap dollar store sets they provide. My TV set turns itself off in the middle of me watching a show or playing a game. No warning, no way to disable it. They want to save an insignificant amount of electricity so bad that they inconvenience me. The only reason they are getting 2 stars instead of 1 is that there were no bugs.

Probably my worst hotel stay ever and I travel for my career so it's a large list to pull from. 1. Way too much needless police activity. I shouldn't have to drive around cop cars that are only there because they're friends of an employee. It's intimidating and unprofessional. 2. No pool + slow Wi-Fi = no amenities. 3. They "ran out" of toiletries for my entire 4 day stay. Who runs out of toiletries even they're operating a hotel? It's like McDonald's running out of buns. 4. I asked for dishes. Twice. And finally got them an hour later. 5. I asked for a blow dryer 7 times and never got one. 6. Not a single time of the 40+ times that I went to the front desk was there a friendly face to greet me. I always had to ring a bell because they hung out in a back room. 7. The smoke alarm have two obnoxiously bright, blinking lights that go off constantly making it difficult to sleep. 8. The TV is mounted below the bed line. This makes it impossible to see the full screen while lying in bed. 9. Room had no toilet paper and a broken tub drain. I will never stay with Extended Stay again.

Sheriff has nothing better to do then harass guests there I was pulled over for no reason and asked o f they can search my car. I've never been arrested or targeted so negatively by law enforcement. I trully lost all respect for law enforcement. I spoke with 3 other guests who whet also pulled over and searched for no reason. O. C. S. D. Get life you sorry sacks of shit. Eat a fat dick filthy wines.

Not happy. However we needed the sleep and all others hotels were all sold out. Keep looking. Rooms are smoking rooms and smell really bad. Sydney was rude and on the cell, while my husband waited for service.

We stayed here for 2 months on a business trip, the staff was very friendly. Benny, and connie were almost always there helping us with questions and to just chat. The rooms were clean, and very comfortable. The only problem I ran into was that one of the maids stole a ring from me, and then quit. But I still highly recommend this perticular extended stay.

Lot's of stains on the carpets and mattresses (I think they are pocketing the pet deposit instead of correcting resulting issues). Also, the green rubber matts they use all over the place smell toxic. Lot's of other people have complained about that already. No convection oven, only a 600 watt microwave. However the price is decent and they have online specials.
