Rooms were nice. We got rooms with two beds, and the beds seemed to be Full size. Sleeping two people in each bed was a bit difficult, but manageable. Breakfast buffet was very good. Very reasonable price. Service was exceptional. Pool where you can drink, listen to music from a live DJ, and a lot of other people vacationing. In house night club. Drinks were slightly over priced in all hotel locations. There is a golf course if you want to do that. Overall had a very relaxing weekend!

We were given a room that overlooked the golf course and it was quiet and out of the way. We had a good time in both the little pool and the big one. I'd say the big pool has more people. The Starbucks on site charges for water, which you shouldn't get because there's free water stations around the hotel, but there it is. The line itself was long but it was pretty quick getting our stuff afterwards. There's so many birds!

I have so many memories here from when I was kid, and teenager. The resort is a great place for all ages. Kids love the Pink Flamingos out front, the ducks, and Black Swans. For a fun filled evening, take a boat ride around the backside of resort near the pool and see the multimillion dollar homes where celebs live, and afterward get off at one of their many eating and drinking options. There’s a Japanese steak house, a lounge, or grill and bar. As you can see the Marriott Desert Springs has options. Inside the huge lobby is a Starbucks, and there’s boutique shopping as well. Don’t forget to say hi to the parrots and other wild life flying around.

Hidden gem and I've been yearning to go back. Beautiful resort and great staff my wife and I loved this place. Initially we didn't even plan on going here but someone talked us into it and we loved every second there. It's a bird sanctuary too and being from Michigan I've never seen a flamingo in my life and as you pull in there's like 20 wild flamingos just walkin around. I knew right then and there this is a good place. The gondola ride is awesome too.

It was one of the most amazing time we had at a resort. Everyone was exceptionally accommodating and were so sweet! The room was immaculate. They also sent us a welcome gift as soon as we arrived. When they found out it was my birthday and our anniversary and they made it a point to send us a bottle if champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. They definitely made our stay delightful!

I spent only one night here so I couldn't experience everything that they offer. However I enjoy a good night's sleep and the beds were amazing to sleep on. Pillows very comfortable, the rooms air conditioned. Very luxurious rooms. I was able to enjoy the pool area as well and they offer both family friendly and party areas. Restaurant choices near this place are amazing as well. I wish I could spend a week here to experience it all, and maybe I will someday as it's worth it to come back.

Nice resort that is beginning to show age/wear/tear. Place was very busy when I stayed, Stagecoach. But the staff seemed to do a decent job of getting people checked in and moving to where ever they wanted to go. Pool area was a zoo. But all fun, people were well behaved. Staff was quick to respond to any behavior that looked like it could get stupid (1 guy started to dry hump an inflatable whale in the pool and about 4 staffers were there in.

A perfect place for relaxation.

Very nice hotel, beautiful grounds. Service in the restaurant was fantastic, but less so at pool and housekeeping. Scheduled for room renovation in upcoming months, which will help with rooms (not that they're bad currently). Was there for a conference and facilities were spacious and well staffed. Multiple pools — which is a necessity since the main pool becomes spring break like with large crowds drinking heavily while wading in the pool. Other pools maintain peace and quiet nicely for families.

Great spaces to visit, the attention and rooms are good.

I had a wonderful time at this resort. All the staff were so nice which is rare during high stay volume times. The rooms are decently sized with large bathrooms. There were also some nice views from various parts of the hotel. I do recommend their breakfast buffet which was very satisfying. I recommend also booking ahead for decent room rates.

JW Marriott in Palm Desert is super nice and beautiful resort. They have the man-made lake and free running boat around the complex and to their restaurants. It is a first class service hotel, the facility, golf course, rooms, restaurants are amazing and surrounding with mountain and golf course views. They are in the central of Palm Desert and many wonderful and up scale restaurants in the area. It is a good place for shopping too and amazing wines collection @ Total Wine store in town. If you want to push yourself to the limit and find out your enduring, hitting the hike trails when the temperature could reach 100+ during the mid-day, it is a challenge for sure and remember to bring lot of water and know your limit. It is not a hiking trail for casual hiker for surw.

In the mother, super quiet and there is muchasss swimming pool to swim.

One of the nicer resorts in Palm Springs. The staff is friendly and the folks at the front desk were very helpful in accommodating my room requests. The rooms that are facing the golf course provide a beautiful view. The hotel is older and the rooms and lobby could do with some upgrades and improvements. It was nice to use the range as well as hangout by either pool. The best margaritas can be found at the pool bar, make sure you try one!

Where do I begin. This Marriott is amazing. There is a major golf course, lakes, shops, fine food, etc. The staff are extremely nice and you are taking care of quickly. On top of that… the prices are amazing for the quality and the views are stunning. This is a must for people who love views, golfing, swimming, etc.

Our room was not ready until 7:00 pm, TV in room was not powering on. 5 calls later some just arrived to fix it. Restaurants are over-priced and poor service. Honestly… there have to be better places than this for the price. I won’t be back.

Love this place. Everything about it is special. We've been going every year for the past 10 years. The staff is great. The suits are always in like new condition. We travel a lot and this is one on the nicest resorts.

The location is very nice, however some attention to detail needs to happen on the front end and on room cleaning. Allow me to explain: We had traveled to the hotel to photograph an event. Upon checking in, the hotel put a $500 incidental charge on our card-fair enough. However, when we charged things to the room, those charges were taken off, in addition to the $500 hold. Next, after a long day, we grabbed some drinks and were relaxing on the patio. Low and behold, what do we find on the table, but a roach. Now, we aren't opposed to the consumption of cannabis, but the cleaning crew should have cleaned the patio, prior to receiving new guest. Finally, the hotel charged our room to our card and not the association that we were working for, aside from the fact that we communicated the arrangements and had the event manager confirm this fact.

Outstanding service and friendly staff. We stayed 4 nights had good food and drink with nice rooms. Pool cabana staff was amazing. Beautiful resort highly recommend!

Golf pools terraces all big and well.

Awesome! My husband & I searched Mexico all inclusives, Hawaii & the Caribbean… we wanted a quick, easily accessible get away & we hit the jackpot. The grounds of the resort are immaculate and beautiful. Flamingos, ducks and humming birds add to the water falls and colorful gardens. The pool is spectacular. Several pool areas, some with a *few* kids, some without — all are included. 5 restaurants, a night club, motor cycle rentals, shops and oh have I mentioned, a fabulous golf course. Definitely the perfect getaway with something for everyone. Stop looking — this is the one.

Very nice hotel, I love the pool. The pool was open 24 hours, so we enjoyed a night swimming! During the day is the pool area over pact. They have a side pool besides from the pool area, this is good during the day. The hotel is to big. But its very nice fresh and clean. Wonderful service. I didn’t enjoyed Palm Desert-Palm Springs, I would rather go to the beach areas…

This place was extraordinary! It’s huge and beautiful! It’s very unique with so many incredible birds and animals to look at and love. Rooms were clean, one smelled just a bit, but the pools were — those who work by the pool (servers, guards, etc) were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would most definitely do stay there again given the opportunity!

What a beautiful property! We got very lucky with the room. We got an upgrade (we are elite members), breakfast upgrade as well. We always stay at Marriott, but this property is exceptional. Had dinner at one of many restaurants, which was great. Place is full for holidays and s bit busier then I would like, but still enjoyable. The music was very loud by the pool till 11, so if you want peace, ask for the room on the other side.

We spent 6 days around Christmas at the resort. We were 3 families, a total of 14 people. Everyone had a great time. We used the spa for massage, the gym for work outs, young ones took the boat ride — from the lobby, and had the breakfast package so we all met at breakfast every morning. Palm Desert weather was 70 to 82 for the week. Plenty of hiking nearby from easy and flat to 10 miles at 8500 ft by gondola. Joshua Tree is an hour drive but worth a day. Advice — make reservations in advance everywhere including restaurants in the hotel. Plenty of good places to eat nearby. Really booked for new year's.

Very nice high standing Hotel located on the Golf course, a quality of service renowned indisputable to the small care. The restaurants and Spa follow this beautiful place that aspires to comfort and confidence. A large area of water goes into the hotel to refresh the place during the hot season. Nothing has been forgotten for comfort.

Love staying at this place! Nice setting relaxing. Staff is always pleasant. Need to have the swans flamingos and the gondola ride. The only thing I may suggest would be that they need the rooms to be updated.

A beautiful property located in Palm Desert, surrounded by beautiful golf courses, lakes and mountain ranges. The property has electric boats to take you on a little spin around the lakes or to shuttle you to one of their 4 restaurants. The property has something for everyone, with several lounges besides the restaurants, Starbucks, a night club, a spa, workout room, shopping plaza, golf course, extensive putt putt range. There are full conference facilities as well. The waterfowl on property are a nature lovers dream, mute swans, black swans, macaws, and Chilean flamingos along with the wild birds that I've noticed: Canadian geese, mallard ducks and coots. This has been an enjoyable stay in a true Oasis in the desert!

Were just for golfing and dining here. Facility is huge. Shops, Hertz, many restaurants, pool facilities, other activists, also for children beautiful … k e I n free Wlan …

The hotel is gorgeous. When I first came in, valet offered to park my car and take my luggage. The hotel offers several restaurants and bars. The pools have cabana rentals, and there is an amazing gondola that will take you around the resort. The rooms are spacious and have balconies. Another whole post could be written about the golfing!

We had an amazing experience at this Hotel. It was spotless, and staff was over the top helpful. Aside from a bit late Maid service, a few days. The Fisherman restaurant was very disappointing. Would not recommend it at all. Overall it was an excellent experience. Will be back for sure.

Overall a very nice place to stay. Rooms are extremely far from lobby and from elevators. Ask for detailed instructions on how to get to your room. The front desk assumes you know theres only 1 elevator in the entire resort. Front desk gave kids a flamingo stuffed animal, which was nice. Family pool was good and also had a movie at night. Parking also very far from building and no shade available.

This is a fantastic and big resort in the desert — love the lake that goes into the Attrium Lobby. Try a free boat ride while you're there. Rooms were great — service was superb. Food was good The large pools are a lot of fun — there are several pools and they get busy. There is gold course surrounding the property — the view from the rooms are very scenic. A great place to relax and have fun. Wouldn't recommend in summer as it can get pretty hot.

Beautiful location, excellent staff and great food. They bake all their own bread and pastry. Joshua Tree coffee is good. Several pools, shops and a golf course. Gym is good sized and staffed. Great place to relax or have an event.

Go to eat in lobby bar. Such a pleasant environment with a great view of the mountains and man-made lake. Love watching the boats come and go. Nice bar menu though Caesar salad is nothing to write home about, nor is the hummus. However my friend loved her sushi each time she's been and we both think the chocolate mousse cake pops are to die for!

Beautiful resort located in the desert. The grounds are beautifully maintained with pools and decor that light up throughout the night during the cooler hours to accommodate walks or swimming. The service is friendly and prompt. I can't think of any missing amenities from the pools, golf course, tennis court or boat dock on the inside of the hotel lobby. The rooms have been upgrade to include state-of-the-art appliances and free amenities. Even though I am not a huge fan of weather over 100 degrees at night, I look forward to each time I can stay at the hotel.

Very big and nice hotel, clean, organized, I liked very much. What I recommend.

We had a boat ride to dinner which was fun for something to do in the desert. The hotel was beautiful and well kept. Dinner-we were squished at our table with a party of 6 plus another party of 4. The ambiance left much to be desired inside the restaurant, old flooring and dirty windows lighting was ew. I've been to other locations in the valley with a better overall experience. The food was delicious and the service was top notch!

Beautiful hotel and grounds. The boat ride is fun; clay and grass tennis courts; good restaurants; Sherman's deli around 2 miles away. The only drag was our hotel room was too hot, in spite of running the A/C the whole time. And it wasn't just our room, others complained too. A high of 122 can't be overcome by their A/C equipment.

We stayed in a room overlooking the Mini Putt area. Spacious room, strong shower, comfortable furniture. The pool was never overly crowded. Food found all over the hotel is great quality, and for thise on a budget… Dominoes delivers regularly to this hotel! Free self parking, resort fee is worth it to take advantage of all the amenities. 2 night stay was enough to experience the entire hotel, and then some!

Short trip from the freeway and close to all the downtown areas for eats. Nice appointments in the rooms and clean. This is one of my favorite locations in the Palm Springs area and as close to the Las Vegas style resorts you will find in the lower desert minus the gambling. It's all here. Spa, Night Club, Restaurants, Bar, Pools, and Starbucks. Beautiful lobby to hang out in the evening for drinks.

Really enjoyed the Ambiance at this Resort! Fisherman's Landing was really good food so was the buffet breakfast place! I did not have a good experience with the Sushi service or food unfortunately and also was sick from it for a few days sad to say thatas I was really looking forward to it! enjoyed the boat cruise and Poolside Fun! The valets were very helpful, someone needs to change their UPS shirts though way too hot for the desert and not stylish enough for the hotel!

We went for our anniversary. The hotel is one of the best we've ever seen. The Palm lined entry gives you a hint of what is to come. The staff is amazing! The shops are really cool. You can rent a Harley Davidson if you want. Restaurants are open at pretty much all times you want to eat. We didn't try them all but the ones we did try were perfect. Service and food were excellent. Priced far less than a good meal anywhere else. I didn't golf, but the course was impeccable. We had the time of our lives in major part because the staff loves to help you.

Good place to spend the weekend. Three swimming pools, tennis and golf. It is the biggest hotel I have ever seen. You can hop on to a boat that takes you to travel various parts of the hotel from the lobby, all this in the middle of the desert.

My wife and I have stayed twice here and had great experiences both times. The rooms are nice and we had great views overlooking the pools and west towards San Jacinto. The pool area is awesome and is served by a bar just steps away. The bar in the lobby of the hotel is excellent. Plenty of seating at the bar, or tables, or couches all around. The golf course is beautiful. Close to grocery stores, but a little bit of a drive to bars, clubs, and restaurants, but that's what cabs are for.

Great resort with nice amenities. Potentially long walk to your room should be kept in mind if you have many or heavy bags. Hallways seem endless. Nice pool selection and great lobby bar with multiple good food options.

Beautiful area. The grounds are perfectly kept. I golf courses look great. Pools and services are excellent. Some rooms have been update however mine is not. It could use updates. I am here for a business conference. The conference center is a very nice setting.

Located nearby a number of useful shopping centers. Easy to get car in/out. Great lobby bar. The pool is nice, but be ready for a weird mix of a lot of children and a lot of bachelor/bachelorette parties (AKA frat obnoxiousness). Pool bar closed at 4 on Friday. The hotel has about everything you need of you aren't interested in leaving. Large mini golf place (really just a multi hole putting green). Rooms do the job but are definitely aged. The shower is smaller than most closets. Balconies are nice with a great view. Bed soft. House keeping comes between 8 and 4 which is worse than a cable company. By 3 ours still hadn't come (AKA no fresh towels to wash off the pool chlorine).

I'm confused by some of the negative reviews. It was a great property with fantastic facilities. The golf facilities are also in great condition.

I wish I could give this place a "-" star. The property is super outdated, nothing is good. I had a bad feeling the moment we were checking in. I am a frequent traveler, and know what to expect. The girl in front desk seemed like the most unmotivated front desk person in the world, no greetings, no smile, in a robotic voice check in, and left us with minimal direction of a super confusing resort lay out. After getting lost 3 times, and asking people around and climbing stairs with luggages due to misdirection, we finally made it to the room to find out its nothing like the picture. Then went down to the lounge for happy hour. Got "house wine" which was advertised to be $6. Later I found out the bartender charged $12 in my cc. Story does not end here, I found out in the mall later that my Credit card is missing, I thought the front desk girl did not give it back to me. Came back to the hotel, asked people present there, they looked here and there and "sorry mam, it's not here! " later I see there is a VM left in my room saying, "your credit card was misplaced, please pick it up from the front desk. " Called them to find out that they know nothing about it, I would have to wait till tomorrow 7:00 am to find out if my ID and credit card is still there. please stay away from this place, use your money for somehitng better!

Help! I'm trapped in an outdated and circuitous compound! The staff did their best, but even managers seem befuddled by cardinal directions ("Can you just tell me which way the sun sets?! " … Ooof. ) This was probably an amazing hotel complex in 1996. Twenty years on, I feel claustrophobic even amidst the amazing views.

I thought the place was fabulous. The service was great, the beds are comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. When I read the negative reviews it's hard to believe, because my experience was so wonderful, relaxing even though I was there for Business. I want to go back!

Check in was ridiculous. Knowing that there is a conference going on, they should have been able to quickly check in everyone. I felt bad for the guests who weren't here for the conference. Other than that, everything else was great. Beautiful resort.

We came here for New Year's Eve. The kids were swimming because it was 75C. JW has this boat ride from inside the hotel to transport you around the grounds. Kids liked that and the mini golf included in your resort fee. The NYE party in the lobby is the main event on this occasion. Live music. Lots of people. Noisy if you are trying to sleep before midnight. Great place to celebrate.

Stayed at the villas for 3 weeks. Very nice stay. Everything was pleasant and fun except pool attendant at the main pool at the hotel was very rude I used the pool last friday and was in the process of putting my towels by the cabana area when he rudely blocked me The pool was almost empty and j was not planning to use the cabana Anyways it was the rude communication that bothered me Otherwise the experience in general was good.

My experience at the JW Marriott was phenomenal. When I first walked inside, I marveled at how well designed the interior was from the color of the walls to the choice of furniture. They always have live music and the bartenders are very polite. The location is perfect in the sense that the weather is hot. The rooms are spacious and the service is exceptional. I will definitely come back to the JW Marriott when I want to go on vacation.

This place is definitely on the average to low end of spectrum. I don't know, it just seems like a really cheap overly regulated place. For example, they charge to use their computers in the "business office" or they charge you for basic amenities that you would get for free at other 5 star resorts. I'm blessed to stay at 5 star hotels regularly and this is my 3rd and possibly last time coming here.

A beautiful property, but management has let go of some of the high standards of conduct and decorum upon which they once insisted. We stayed for a week over Christmas 2014, and a large group came into the lobby lounge, carrying Little Caesar's pizza boxes, and they took over a section of the lounge, eating the pizza and drinking juice boxes. I used my cell phone and called the operator, who was as appalled as I. She put me on hold, then came back and told me that this was a church group, which had permission to bring outside food into the lobby and eat it there. We stayed again for a week beginning of June 2015, and again a large group brought food in from the outside, but this group was having hotel staff to heat the food or reheat it for them. Further, we saw people in the lobby wearing wet bathing suits with just a towel wrapped around, men without shirts, children in bare feet, and none of the staff spoke to anyone about this. We had to make sure that the chairs were dry before seating ourselves. So, it's still a beautiful property, but it's slipping from what it used to be.

Customer service via phone is exceptionally slow. I have been on hold for 19 minutes so far. I'm not hanging up merely because I want to see how far this will go before someone takes me off hold. This is not a good precedent for my upcoming visit. Boo Hoo JW.

Good all around service. Wish they would let you bring outside beverages into the pool area. Their food and drinks there are over priced and not that tasty. Besides that it's a nice place to stay with lots of amenities.

If Miley Cyrus is at this marriott ask Miley Cyrus to come out from her hiding place I would like to see her.

The Hotel was mostly was above average. They don't run a very tight ship, however. For instance, Restaurant Fisherman's Landing, when I called, the girl curtly told me I had to talk to someone else about the menu, she put the phone down-not on hold, a lot of giggling, and I waited and waited for 4 to 5 minutes. Was about ready to hang up when girl answered. Did not know the menu and was disinterested about my complaint of waiting so long. I called back and cancelled so I cannot comment on the food. Attitude dissuaded me from eating there.

Beautiful resort. Excellent golf course and great service. The gondola ride is fun too. BTW I had only read about the black swans but they have two from Australia.

Amazing! From A to Z. Amazing service! Will be going back defiantly. Perfect Breakfast. Excellent Lobby Bar, Amazing Restaurants, Great Sushi. Booked their holiday spa special and received a one hour Swedish massage with Darko, the massage therapist. That massage was the best I have ever had. I wish I would have booked him for a two hour appointment instead! Thank you Darko.

First time. Beautiful. Aesthetically everything was amazing. The rooms are very nice and clean. Nicely decorated especially the bathroom. Very large tub for 2 and shower. Great pool and jacuzzi. There was a separate charge for certain amenities, that was kind of lame.

Very nice hotel great class you take full the sight of the entrance to the parking lot, especially with Flemish-roses, the boat ride that starts from the lobby, but the rooms are not a the image of the hotel are not very large, the old-fashioned floor carpet and furniture, the c advantage is that there is a balcony.

Without forgetting to drink the personnel that get you your luggage in the room.

Mediocre room; nothing all that impressive. The pool area is a major turn off. It looks like it's spring break for the 30+ crowd. Lots of beer cans and people walking around with red solo cups. I knew something was off when there were security guards by the entrance checking peoples bags for contraband. Is this a hotel or a rock concert.
