The rooms are clean and comfortable — the new bathrooms are beautiful! — and the staff is friendly and helpful. We've stayed here so often, management recognizes us, and always greets us with a homecoming smile. That kindness in businesses is rare, and very much appreciated. It isn't fancy, but it offers basic comforts affordably.

The room stunk like somebody smoked a whole carton of cigs with the window shut. The guy at the first desk didn't even ask if we wanted a non smoking room. Not good when your traveling with your family.

The rooms are clean and the beds are freshly made excellent hotel service and phones in the room there is a laundry on site. The machines are fully stocked and you can get free news newspapers and coffee in the lobby early a. M. There is a dog walking area with doggie bags to dispose of doggie waste and a nice area to sit and smoke by the front office by the swimming pool. The swimming pool is not heated and at the time that I stayed there the jacuzzi did not have warm water. When I stayed there I was able to get two beds to the room and it was only $89 for the night. I love that I could walk my dog all around the parking lot and the hotel and I felt safe. The hotel is Century Located to fast food and Sizzlers and a Denny's.

No Star Hotel. Everything from the check-in to check-out was awful. My fiance and I had booked a room for 2 nights. They tried to charge us for 3 days.? We almost left after the first morning because we couldn't get a wink of sleep. Seems like this hotel was full of druggy's up all hours of the night. Constant noise elevating through the halls. Please please don't waste your money folks!

Clean, modern-day rooms. Nice. Fantastic Beds! Laundry room is awesome! Ice machine full and vending machines great selection of snacks and sodas gum and candy. Great selection of newspapers and travel coupons in the front office and hot coffee free! This hotel is pet-friendly and has a great place to walk your animal. The rooms are non-smoking but they do have a smoking section that is covered and very nice. The jacuzzi and the pool is not heated.

Didn't look like a motel 6 and if u visit here make sure u get a parking pass. Or else they will tow your car. I came out just in time before the tow truck driver hooked my truck up. And I wasn't there more than an hour and I left and came back. Within that hour and still almost got towed away.

Room had a smoke smell. Cigarette butts around the outside of the facility. Nearby room had barking dogs. In the morning found a cockroach roaming the room. I was not expecting anything exceptional but was not expecting to smell smoke, find a piece of my car missing or to have such a shabby bathroom. There were dirty areas that did not look like they had been cleaned. I mentioned the problem with the barking dogs and the cigarette smell at check out and all the clerk said was "I will look into it. " There was no apologies or any sincerity in his response. I was very disappointed in my stay.

Do not go to this hotel! They are very rude and lied to us saying there was a new law that they have to see everyone’s ID that stays in the hotel. The Black African American at the desk also was sexually harassing the girls after making fun of my friend. They charged me for a hotel even after telling me they would refund.

Location was convenient for us. Front desk didn't feel very welcoming. Beds were fairly comfortable, however the sheets were pilly, and the matresses tended to slide off the platforms. The bathroom sink was in poor condition — gouged, scratched, discolored, not clean. We did like the wood-look flooring. Much better than carpeting.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. No breakfast offered but it's next to Dennys. There are not many amenities, towels are small and thin, and not many are provided. For the price, it should have a coffee maker, microwave & mini fridge. Its an okay place when you just need a place to sleep. While I was there, a group with many young people that were noisy & running down the hallway all night and nothing was done to quiet them.

The Customer Service is phenomenal! The wonderful woman at the front desk just fixed an otherwise terrible trip to Apple Hill… the kids will never forget and neither will I.

We were pleasantly surprised and pleased. The only suggestion would be to make the Wi-Fi connectivity and speed more robust.

Don't make this your first option. Checked in and a room in the building was being raided by officers. Walked down a slightly scary and very dirty couple of hallways to the room. The room was hot without air and freezing with it, so no happy medium. As we got in the car to leave in the morning, the room we parked in front of had a coroner's sticker across the window. This may have been the worst Motel 6 I've ever stayed at.

I needed a quick place to stay for the night so I could be up early for a meeting I chose this place just based on the price. From the looks of the website it looked very sweet and clean. When I arrived I waited a little bit to get checked in the front desk girl didn't speak to me at all just took my ID and handed me a room key. She didn't even tell me where the room was located. I said thank you and have a goood night with no reply at all. I parked my car around back and as soon as I stepped into the building I wanted to turn around and leave. First thing I noticed was how bad it smelled I get that you have smoking and non smoking rooms but goodness it smelt like I was in the camel factory! The floors needed a lot of work they were so dirty it made me almost sick! Garbage all over the grounds don't think the hallways have even seen a vacuum to be quite honest. We got into the room and was surprised they did updates for sure very nice room lots of space, the bathroom could use some work ours was very dirty. The walls are so thin I heard all the small children jumping around screaming all night. This place needs some serious cleaning before I ever think about staying here again.

I made a reservation almost a week in advance of my stay. I arrived at a little before 4pm on my check-in day and was told my room was still not ready for me. When I was finally checked in by a front desk associate, I was treated as a nuisance and not a customer or guest. I placed the "Do Not Disturb" placard on the outside door handle, but was still disturbed by motel staff. I also chose this motel partly because it had a pool, but I was told (quite gruffly) that the pool was closed. This was NOT brought to my attention when I reserved the room, it wasn't mentioned when I checked in, and it was not told me when I paid for the room. The hallways were filthy; they looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a while with dirt, foot prints, and drywall dust or plaster all along the hall way. Junk and old furniture was shoved into corners and ends of hallways. Other unknown stains lined the hallway walls as well as many chips in the paint. The smell was extremely unpleasant. My room was no better. The only furniture in the room was the bed, a nightstand, and a table. The floors were hardwood, but had either not been swept, or the debris was swept poorly and into corners and baseboards. The toilet had urine stains on the outside and base. Again, the walls looked terrible with chips and stains in various places. Lastly, and the part that make this place unsafe, is the fact that the smoke detector had been removed. Wires hung from the ceiling where it should have been.

No carpet in rooms, maitnance man never does work he is asked. There are homeless people living in woods behind the motle and are all over this property. Not safe no security and half the properties cameras do not work.

Better than the one off zinfandel dr in Rancho Cordova just another quick hotel that u can just be comfortable enough with staying the night without totally regretting it.

The room was kind of bare. Weird pink stains on ceiling. Wood floor instead of usual carpet. Shower head and sink were short.

I have stayed at Motel 6 in Cameron Park for the last 2 years and I must say I am say I can see a decline in the attention to the outside has gone down. The rooms are clean but could be better, that's why I now stay at Quality Inns down the street.

This is the worst motel 6 I ever stayed at. I had to kill 2 roaches on the floor. The sheets and pillow cases had old staines on them. I slept in my pants and jacket so they wouldn't touch my skin. Their was 2 dirty hand towels left on the floor how was this not noticed when their supposed to clean the rooms. Their was was one by the TV and the other on the side of the bed. The bathroom is jus old and dirty lookn clearly they dont take any pride in their motel. I will NEVER stay here again. I'd rather spend more money for a room then stay here again.

Even though we requested a non-smoking room, there was enough smoke in the building to trigger a massive asthma reaction in my child. Room appeared clean, but bedding was gritty (we slept in our clothes on top of the bedding). Walls are paper thin, don't take your kids unless you are prepared to explain the banging coming from the next room. Seriously, it was so strong that it was shaking the lamps on our wall. Bathroom toilet was leaking from the base every time we flushed, and the doorknob nearly fell off of the absolutely filthy door (brown smudges and splatters on back of door). We would've left if we had any other options in the middle of the night. Morning was worse, if you can imagine, it sounded like they began construction on the roof and the neighboring room at 7 am, but no, it was just the other residents. Vending machines were broken. Floors and stairs leading to second floor looked like someone scattered cat litter all over them. Shady character lurking in the parking lot after 9 pm, pacing and acting strange with hood pulled low to conceal face. Would've communicated this to attendant if he would have made himself available. Upon check out we used the office courtesy phone because the desk was deserted and were told to just leave the room key in the tray and he hung up before I could respond. We will never stay at a motel 6 again… ever.

David summed this up perfectly. From approximately 11pm til 6 or 7am (not sure as I was unable to sleep) there was constant door slamming, people talking loudly in the halls, dogs in the hotel barking and other disruptions. I went to my car around 4am to try to find headphones to use as ear plugs and noticed someone had propped a pizza box in the door way to keep the locked door open. This allowed any stranger/homeless vagrant access into the hotel. The staff were fine but this was by far the worst hotel experience I've had. The room was fine for a motel 6 but as pointed out previously, they have no control over the people occupying the building. Time to hire a night guard or security. I can not recommend more clearly to avoid this hotel at all costs.

White Trash Central! Yelling, doors banging as I'm writing this now and it is after 2:30 in the morning. Dogs bark in the hallways because people have them in their room and one person was yelling because a dog just pee'd on their door. I have a long ride in the morning on my motorcycle and I have no idea how I will get some sleep. I asked for a nonsmoking room but it doesn't really matter because people smoke right outside your room. The staff are nice enough but no one seems to have control over the tenants. Do they live here? Are they paying monthly with their SSDI money? I just don't get why this place has to feel like I payed for two nights in Tijuana. If you want dogs barking, the smell of smoke, doors slamming and the sound of drunken ignorance blaring through the night; then by all means, come to the Cameron Park Motel 666!

Loud, Barking dogs, children jumping on the beds above us until 2am. Front desk said they couldn't do anything, didn't know what room it was. Someone smoking skunk weed drifting down the stair well. (2 nights of it) We won't be staying here next year when we work up here next year.

When I got to the room and turned on the TV it did not work. I called the man at the desk, said he know's it did not. I said what are you going to do about it. He said nothing. It was not late in the evening. He had a lot of empty rooms, not a lot cars were in the parking lot. So much for service. Also the room was very sterile. You should send a rep. To take a look for themselves.

Saturday, July 19, 2014 for 1 night. Check-in very friendly and courteous and had our room ready very quickly even though we checked in early. The room was very clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub was clean and perfect. Had a great quiet, peacefull night and coffee in the morning and then a good Breakfast at Denny's on same property. Wish I could have stayed longer, really enjoyed it, thanks Motel 6 for a nice stay.

Motel 6 Cameron Park is clean and the staff are very friendly. The prices are low. This motel has improved greatly over the last year. The laundry equipment is new and works great. Its an excellent value and staff are great.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. The hotel is full of transient drug users. You can tell as you just walk to your room, which is pretty bad as well. I was awoken on a two night stay at 3am by sheriff's beating down the door of the room next to me. The next day I asked for a refund of at least my second night, let alone the night I just spent and was refused. Horrible service at a bad hotel. I would never recommend you stay there.

An affordable hotel, with great service and management! Every member of the staff including the Manager are very nice and friendly! The Location is great within walking distance to many restaurants! Everything was within a quick driving distance.
