We visited this weekend for our daughters first cheer competition she was met with the most thoughtful note from the staff and some wonderful snacks it was soo nice they def went abound and beyond this is a trip she will always remember including the amazing room hot tub heated pool and great staff we had a great stay I can’t thank y’all enough ❤️🥰

Service was great, staff accommodating, rooms spacious and clean, free breakfast better than most and even though I didn’t use it the pool area looked nice. Only 2 things that kept it from 5 was no bar or lounge, and for me the bed was a little softer than my memory foam pillow top at home.

I usually do not write a review, so I will keep this simple. The ambiance of the Ayres hotel sets it apart from some many others. The cleanliness, the hospitality and the customer service is all second to none. From a weekend getaway to an overnight business trip, If there is a Ayrea Hotel nears, that is where I am staying.

Our room was super clean, well furnished, easy to control temperature, and overall very nice. Water was hot when I took a shower in the morning and the towels were comfortable. The provided breakfast was very good, with everything being fresh and clean when I arrived about two hours into the breakfast time! Very impressed and pleased with my stay, I will for sure stay here again when I come to to area.

Loved the place because of the attention to details. Enjoyed the greenery around the hotel front. Pleasant and helpful staff at the desk, quiet and artistic lobby, spacious outdoor area in the back with outdoor pool, first floor hallway with historical Long Beach black and white pictures. Rooms were great. Orchestral music station playing in the elevator. Close to the highway but not too close that it was noisy. Masseuse a couple store fronts away and a Kobe Japanese Steakhouse across the street. Plenty of other places to eat not too far away.

Great rooms. Great breakfast. I would give a 4.5 instead of 4 because my only feedback and recommendation is to have a change machine or accept cc for the washing machine and dryer. When we asked for change at the front desk, they informed us that they couldn't give change until the morning and we were leaving the next day. My other feedback, would be for the front desk clerk to let me know that the access code for the internet was on the back of the card given to me at check in. Overall an excellent stay.

We are always excited to stay here. This is our second time and we will definitely be back. This time, my husband left his wallet and when we called and returned, the staff had found it and secured it for us. Definitely made us feel wonderful and safe with an honest staff. Oh, and the cookies and continental breakfast are the best. Love the pool, Jacuzzi, gym. Can't think of anything bad.

Excellent accommodations and your staff was very helpful for finding me a room on short notice. I/we always try to stay at Ayres properties whenever we travel in So. California and it was great to find one so close to where I needed to be. The room was very quiet and clean. Your housekeeping staff made sure I had fresh towels and replaced the toiletries I'd used. Fantastic hotel! This was our first time staying at Ayres and I must say we were quite delighted with the hospitality. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed… Sean at the front desk was amazing! My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer. Thank you Ayres for a wonderful stay; we will definitely visit again!

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Conference room works great for our group of 30. Staff are and have always been top notch. A great overall experience.

The morning breakfast was good. However, the menu was the same everyday. Was expecting a variety with the eggs. On a few days the bacon was over cooked. Overall the hotel is excellent. The bed and pillows were excellent, comforting and relaxing. The place was exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend it to others.

I've stayed at a number of Ayres hotels across California. All are pretty consistent. Clean and comfortable. Ecclectic art and decorations. This location's front desk staff has at least one less than great team member. Overheard one telling a guest that asked for bottled water to drink from the sink. And the front desk staff seems to be unable to get the same rates as their web site. So book online first and don't expect to be able to extend at the web site rate. This location's breakfast Chef is a gem. Great breakfasts!

It was in a good area and close to where I was going to. The front desk was helpful with some questions I had concerning the shuttle service. If a need for me to be the area again I would stay here again.

The staff are very polite and the hotel is beautiful. Its very clean the beds are very comfortable. We had a great experience and would gladly stay again.

Enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Ayers Hotel in Seal Beach, CA, this past weekend. The hotel was nicely decorated and most importantly, it was very clean. The staff were efficient, and customer service friendly. The daily breakfast includes a wide variety of foods to select from. My selections were tasty. I would absolutely stay there again. I highly recommend this hotel.

Ayres Hotel is a nice chain. The location on Seal Beach Boulevard and 405 is Eazy-E Lee acceptable accessible from the freeway. The rooms are nicely sized laid out with nice furnishings and the amenities available to the guests this location has a pool as most do.

As with ALL Ayers Hotels, this one is very quiet, even right adjacent to the 405 freeway. Super clean, well mannered employees. We love Ayers Hotels and everyone we have felt with that works at the hotel chain.

Very nice hotel. Check in process was efficient. Room was spacious and nice. Beds comfortable and yet pillows too bulky and not easy on the neck. Breakfast very good with lots of delicious choices. Would recommend staying here. We will stay again in the future.

I was just at your hotel this past weekend. I loved that the staff was thoughtful and professional. The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The free breakfast had an amazing variety of foods and was tasty. Thank you for the entire experience! Robin.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only issue was one day when the sheets were changed they felt very stiff and the detergent they were washed in smelt very strong. I'm sure if I would have asked the front desk to change them out — they would have. Maybe use a cleaner on the sheets that is not so strong. Besides this, everything was great and I would definitely stay here again!

My first visit was impressive and a room was available after 1 am. Room was clean in great condition and personnel was very helpful without being asked. Full breakfast was included and not just fruit and cereal like I have experienced in other hotels. Eggs, French toast, sausage links and patties, fruit, yogurt, what ever there is to offer they accommodated. Very happy with our visit.

Being unfamiliar with the hotel or the area and making a last minute reservation, we were a bit nervous about what to expect. Now we can say the hotel was very nice, the staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The hotel and our large room were well appointed and comfortable. The room was clean and well prepared for our visit, the bed was comfy and the room was quiet. Don't know what more we could ask … we'd stay there again. Thanks.

Every thing was great. The desk clerk changed our room assignments when he realized my son was in a wheelchair. This had been noted when we made the reservation but it was not at the local site and message did not get communicated. My son was very pleased with the layout of the bathroom in particular and believes the room was the one of the best accessible rooms he has stayed in. We had a pleasant stay.

We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was even though our room went out to the Freeway. In the immediate vicinity, all the shops and restaurants were available for every Taste. The traffic was very good.
The hotel was very clean, although sometimes minor flaws were present in room Service.

This hotel was great. While it seemed slightly older, it was updated and clean. The portraits hanging on the walls were creepy and odd, but other than that, I enjoyed the other aspects of the hotel. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. There was a chef making all of the food and it was very delicious!

They Do much to prevent the waste of electricity. The breakfast was perfect one of The best breakfasts of all The hotels that I was staying. The employees were very friendly.

I love Ayres! It is my top favorite hotel chain. There is a home away from home feeling every time I go there for a quick get away. I appreciate their friendly attitude and service. The decor is warm and welcoming. Ayres is definitely my favorite place away from home.

Beautiful clean hotel room with comfortable accommodations. Hotel needs to pay attention to the dirty elevators however. The floors and baseboard in elevators is more than noticeably dirty. We travel to southern CA from Idaho 4 times per year. We only stay at Ayres Hotels. Our favorites are Seal Beach, Orange and Fountain Valley. The hotel in Anaheim is older and not in great condition.

The room and the staff were very nice. The breakfast was disappointing. The potatoes we're mushy and the bacon was not crispy.

Any time we go to a show at Speghettini, this is where we stay. Convenient location and very clean and comfortable rooms. I pay the extra when available to get one of the patio rooms close to the pool. Good full breakfast and close to plenty of restaurants to choose from. Staff is friendly and responsive. We had a lovely one-night stay! The beds were comfortable, the room was spotless and very nicely decorated. It was also so-o-o-o-o quiet! We slept great. Check in and check out was smooth as well.

The Ayers Hotel in Seal Beach is a very nice hotel. This is the 3rd time I have stayed there. The breakfast each day was awesome easy off easy on to Interstate 5. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very helpful. I give this hotel TWO THUMBS UP and I would stay at this hotel in a minute when I return to Seal Beach.

This is our 6th visit to the Ayres in Long Beach. The property is well situated for visiting Long Beach, Seal Beach, LA and Orange County. It is currently (July 2017) nearing the end of a major refurbishment and guests are all accommodated in the newly updated rooms which are quite nice. The staff is both pleasant and helpful. The complimentary breakfast goes way beyond fruit and muffins with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, yogurt, etc. We have tried other hotels but this is by far our favorite place to stay when we visit the area.

We had an amazing stay at Ayres Hotel Seal Beach! This was my first time at an Ayres Hotel and I was just there for one night. The rate was absolutely worth it for the stay! I was able to easily book it online. The room was beautiful and spacious, with everything that my boyfriend and I could have needed. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of cold and hot options! Staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean and beautifully decorated. And location was very convenient to stores, restaurants, and Seal Beach! Loved the stay very much and wish there were Ayres Hotels on the east coast (where we live) but don't believe there are! Thanks :)

I was happy with the size and comfort of the room. Ayres staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was 5-star and the best I have had at a hotel for free. No complaints. Also, I would mention that I left 2 important books in the room that were for my career in fire fighting that I desperately needed. Housekeeping broke legs to find it. I am happy they did that. I got my books next day. Thanks again Ayres. I would return again after 5-star customer service from both front desk and housekeeping.

Such a great hotel! We stayed for four nights for our son's graduation and enjoyed everything about the Ayres hotel. Our room was wonderful, we enjoyed a great breakfast every morning and spent time each morning by the lovely pool!

This hotel is so nicely decorated and clean. I loved the breakfast — spinach in the eggs — yay! It was quiet (on the courtyard side) and the location is conveniently located. I will definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel; located just feet from the freeway ramps it's got great access but you can barely tell it's so close, road noise is not an issue. Rooms are nice, well kept, but not flashy. Nice complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi and parking is brilliant. Overall a great place to stay!

Great Rooms and decor. The breakfast scrambled eggs were dry and did not feel freshly made. They should have been regularly stirred by the help. I would have liked a tray to take food up to my wife, who was not feeling well. The gym equipement was very limited.

Our stay was pleasant throughout. The check in staff was very accommodating to our requests and super friendly. The rest of the staff provided exceptional service from the bell staff to the breakfast staff. The breakfast selection was very good and always hot and fresh. Despite being near the freeway, our room was quiet. Great experience, we would definitely stay again.

We stay here whenever we're in the area. This hotel has a feeling of "old world elegance " while providing every modern convenience. The staff makes you feel like they really care and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is unsurpassed in variety and quality.

We appreciate the gracious attitude of every staff member from breakfast staff up to the manager on duty at the desk. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable — it's actually nice to spend quality time in the room! And when travelling in a group, socializing on a comfy sofa with snacks from the room "fridge" or microwave make the experience of being away from home more comfortable than one normally expects. Beds are great; lots of pillows a really good idea.

Lovely hotel, pleasant, professional staff, and a terrific breakfast buffet available every morning. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only drawback for us (we shared a room with my sister and brother-in-law) is they didn't find the curtain pull until we were leaving. Ha ha I guess I should have looked for it for them sooner, but we all slept well.

We enjoyed our stay very much, it wasn't our first time. You have very caring staff. We really enjoy the Breakfast and another plus is the quiet, you feel you are the only ones in the Hotel, yet you know you're not. Thank you again, Ralph and Linda Wallace.

We had a long day of sight seeing. We got to the room and wanted to get in the hot tub. There were kids all around the pool. When they left we go in and the security guard told us we had to get out. 5 mins is all we were in there. I didn't want to relax with 10 kids running and screaming all over the place. Another thing, we stayed there 2 nights. The first night, my girlfriend has a rock that she massages my back with. When we left the next morning, I left that rock on the desk. Smooth light blue rock. When we got back that evening the rock was missing. We looked everywhere. I don't want to say, but I think the maid took it. Another thing was the beds were too soft. Both nights I woke up with a back ache.

The room, breakfast, and basic accommodations were very good. However, when I came in after midnight for a late check-in after a very long flight from the east coast the last thing I wanted to deal with was a slow check in process. So even after checking in prior on-line I was forced to go through a grueling 30 minute process of checking in. Your night time front desk clerk said there was no such thing as checking in on-line… which by the way is just bizarre since you sent the option to me.

We were only able to stay one night, but would love a return visit. The room above the court yard was spacious, clean and elegant. The little time we did have, we spent about 30-45 mins in the Hot tub and enjoyed the court yard at night. We requested towels and within minutes someone brought out a full cart quickly and was very pleasant. The grounds Security stopped in at 2145 to advise us that the area would be closing in about 15 mins. He apologized for disturbing us, which he didn't, but he was very polite about the information. We had some time in the morning to enjoy a brief breakfast and if it wasn't for the event we had to attend I would have love to have stayed much longer. I do believe we will be returning on one of our next trips down south.

Rooms are spacious, a little elegant, and functional. Our 2 Queen room had a large working desk, with lamp and outlets at desk level, as well as a two person round table with chairs. There is a large vanity sink, just outside the bathroom proper (toilet and shower). There is also a microwave and mini-refrigerator. Breakfast was a full breakfast: Two kinds of omelet eggs, sausage, pancakes, hash browns, cold cereal, oatmeal, pastries. The breakfast room is large and airy, just off the lobby. Location is convenient: very near I-405, with fairly easy access on and off in both directions, but just far enough away that you are not aware of the freeway while in the hotel itself. Staff was professional and always very helpful. Wifi worked perfectly with minimal hassle.

Always a very high level hotel for quality, service and staffing. For our needs and my personal needs, the hotel is excellent. We had a party in the dining room sunday night and it was the perfect place for our afterparty event. I look forward to coming back there again. I am an Ayers believer when I stay in So. Cal.

Third floor room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Decor was tasteful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Staff was very accommodating to helping me book two rooms next to each other. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was top notch! This was our second time staying at an Ayres property and the second time we were blown away by the experience compared to the price. Excellent!

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The proximity to restaurants in walking distance is a plus. The breakfast was delicious and well prepared. My pet peeve is bad coffee and your coffee was delicious and I very much appreciate pressed cardboard cups as opposed to styrofoam. I also appreciated the USA Today newspaper which was available very early am.

When we arrived, the person at the front desk at the time was rude. She spoke too fast. We had to ask her to repeat information. She acted like she was bothered when I had a question; was walking away. Then, the TV came on in the middle of the night twice. The only thing the person at the front desk had to say was, oh, that has never happened before. I went back a couple hours later and asked if there was anything they could do for me because of this. It was not a restful night. He then gave me the locals discount which I was satisfied with. The breakfast was also mediocre. We have stayed here before and our experience was decent. This one, not so.

As usual when we visit relatives in Rossmoor, our stay at the Ayres was very pleasant. Staff is courteous, Rooms clean and well appointed, good breakfast. My only nit to pick, again as usual, are the flimsy plastic cups. How about some nice glass tumblers in the rooms?

We had a very nice experience at your hotel. Your customer service was very good and it was enjoyable staying there. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only thing that was a little bothersome was the toilet when flushed is very loud and you can hear it from the adjoining room (at least it was in our room). But, overall a very pleasurable experience. We will be back!

Overall we had a good experience and appreciated the help and support of the staff. The only problem we ran into was when trying to find delivery service for lunch during our meeting. If your staff could develop relationships with the local vendors that process might have been easier and more successful.

Thank you so very much for making a bad situation so much better. I live in the neighborhood and had my home sprayed for vermin, I learned at 9pm that I would not be able to spend the night in the home. I checked around and your establishment had the highest rating, so I booked for 1 that night. Every one was so very pleasant! Especially the nice fellow at the check in desk. After I had a roundabout experience with trying to find the front door when parking on the east side of the hotel. Very difficult to navigate and you should post signs directing your tired travelers away from the rear patio area, which is locked down tight, to the front desk area. There are some stepping stones leading through a rose bed, please trim the roses so your guest (I'm legally handicapped so I kind of put in a LOT of effort just to get to your front door) can tell which is the right way to go to find the registration lobby. But once I got there, he couldn't have been nicer. He carried my bag up to the room, which was just lovely, he had given me an executive suite with champagne chilled in ice. It was so wonderful to be treated so nice after all the hassles of the day! I'm telling all my friends about how wonderfully I was treated by your personal. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! My wife has asthma and the mustiness of the hotel was not good for her. It was a strong odor that hit you as soon as we walked in.

Overall please with the hotel and amenities. We have stayed at the Ayres in Costa Mesa several times and this one was a bit smaller and seemed to be somewhat older but still met all expectations with the exception of a housekeeping issue.

Overall stay was very nice. We asked to change rooms because the first room we were given was next to the freeway. The front desk quickly accomomadted us with a better location. The breakfast was ok. We have stayed here many times before and have had a better breakfast. That is the only reason I rated a 4 this time. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again.

This hotel is exceptional. Our experience was extremely positive in all aspects. The rooms were beautifully decorated and quite spacious. We appreciate the fact that the hotel accommodated our personal needs welcomed our business for hosting a family reunion. While this hotel is a bit more expensive than what we generally spend, we found it to be worth every dime. We would definitely stay at another Ayres Hotel if presented the opportunity in the future.

The only reason I did not rate your hotel as very good is because you can easily hear the people walking around in the room above you; to the point that it can wake you up. Otherwise the room was quiet. The hotel is nice and in good condition. The staff were friendly and helpful. The interior courtyard to eat breakfast in was nice. The room was well appointed although the bath tub was slow to drain. It was conveniently located to shopping and the beaches. I would recommend it to others.

I love, love, love the Ayres Hotel. I have stayed here before and it continued to exceed my expectations. The staff were excellent, particularly Nancy at the front desk. I understand that she's been with Ayres for twenty-two years, so it speaks highly for both her customer service skills and knowledge of your organization. Also, Housekeeping staff were excellent — Letty and Antoinette and a gentleman whose name I didn't get. The King Room with patio was lovely and very comfortable. The location is great and easily accessible to the 405 fwy and shopping. I had several friends who visited me at the hotel and they were also equally impressed with the hotel. P. S. Having Enterprise car rental on the property is also very convenient.

I do a lot of travel and the Ayers by far is one of my favorite hotels to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a touch of class. The staff and customer service I have consistently received is what has won me over time and time again; always friendly, courteous and professional. The only con I can say is the fitness room albeit nice is minimal but you can get a workout in. I look forward to future stays.

I know it took me a long time to write a comment. We book our hotel on Jan 17, 2010 for our Honeymoon for one night before leaving town. The staff there was very rude and they never told us what time our check was after the maid walked into my room with out knocking. When I went to go drop off a key the woman there at the front counter was very rude to me. This was five years ago, I just never got around leaving a comment here. I will never do business with a bunch of rude and disrespectful employees. I let people know not to go there any more. Employees need to learn better customer service.

Our friends have an annual reunion in Huntington beach. We reserved and paid online. Arrival was fine and being tired I jumped into bed. I awoke to find that I was sleeping on someone's BLOOD STAINS. The front desk was informed and they promised to send up a manager who NEVER arrived. They did change the sheets for our second day. NOTHING ELSE! I was and am completely discussed and repulsed. My advise is if you find yourself at the Ayres you have been warned about the sheets. Your on your own for the rest of the linens. I did learn and for the rest of my life I will check the bed before I get in.

I purchased a hotel room for my daughter's wedding and the attendant at the front desk refused to help my daughter and proceeded to insult her and my new son in law and talked down to her and insulted my son in law. He ruined my daughter's wedding night and when I called him to inquire about the matter he was rude. My daughter tried repeatedly to explain to him that I had made the reservations through Travelocity but he refused to look at the confirmation on her phone, upset her, made her cry and really upset my son in law. I am APPALLED that Ayres Hotel would hire someone who could treat people so disgustingly as this front desk attendant did. I will never book a room with this hotel again for ruining my daughter's wedding night.

I've stayed here multiple times due to family nearby. I have had a couple minor problems over probably 30 stays, but I've never had a bad stay. Service is good, breakfast is great for hotel breakfast. The rooms are very nice, and except the occasional construction noise (not much they can do about that) it's been a home away from home.

We have had clients and family stay at the Ayres on several occasions. Every time our guests are highly satisfied. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our stay on Oct17, 2012 was excellent! They should be rated 4 stars, (not just 3). The S. B. Ayers was a beautifully appointed and maintained property. Service was really more than just professional. All the staff — from the desk personell, to the cook, to the housekeeping staff were prompt, accomodating, caring and thorough! The hotels interior was clean, infact immaculate. The rooms were perfectly maintained, cleaned, and nicely appointed with furnishings. Even the hallways were beautifully appointed with furniture, paintings and so forth. Our houskeeping staff (maid service) was just excellent. And the A/C worked great! The breakfast was absolutly one step above the usual free breakfast, with omelettes to order, fresh french toast, fresh breads, and fruits! Nice pool and Jacuzzi, as well. Overall — just a great hotel at a good price. I will definately look for Ayers again, when traveling in Southern CA. Only one small complaint. The swimming pool water was old, and needs to be changed. Most likely because its the end of a long summer, a lot of use, and a lot of chemicals. The water was not fresh. But the pool was clean.
