Review of Super 8 2*

This place smelled disgusting as soon as I walked in the door. Even so, I was willing to give them a shot at making it a better experience for me and my 3 kids who came from mesa to visit my brother who lives here. My brother was getting pizza while I was getting a room so we could all get together, eat, go swim with all the kids together for the first time in years. However my plans were abruptly put to a screeching halt when the guy at the front desk first asked for my id, then after I handed it to him, he said (in very hard to understand, broken English, might I add) "just you and the three children then? " I said yes, and then he put his hand out as if to be asking for payment. I asked him how much it would be, he told me $69/night. I agreed (even tho I'm already irritated with his attitude) and I handed over my debit card, at which time he glared at my mom, who had come along for the ride, and said "so no visitors. Nobody but you and the three children you have. No visitors in my pool, no visitors at all. " I informed him of my plans to get all of my neices and nephews together and he handed my card and my id back to me and said "you go somewhere else then, I said no visitors here! " So even tho I wanted to sock him in the mouth and tell him he was running a hotel that was carrying the smell of rotting, fermenting bodies so how date he have the lack of customer service that he had, I decided to just say "fine. Mom, what other hotels are around here, I'm sure something has got to smell better and have a better vibe than this dunp anyway" and snatched my cards back out of his hand. Went down the road to Arizona sunset inn, this place is amazing. Although there is no pool, we have a nice smelling, clean room. For cheaper than the super 8, and the lady at the front desk said that they'd be more than happy to be the venue for as many family members I would like to bring to my room. So we sat at the BBQ patio and had pizza with all 15 of us. Memories for a lifetime. Is rather be comfortable with no pool, then uncomfortable PLUS our family couldn't hang out at the room with us. I highly urge you to pick a different hotel! super 8 is very dissatisfying!
