A/c sucks, looks like a dump. Room was clean but the rest of the hotel was filthy.

Decent amenities, comfortable and convenient. Dated and aged, but not dirty. Free coffee but no breakfast. Staff was kind, but did not receive housekeeping didn't stay.

This was a good place to stay. There was no continental breakfast which is something I wish every hotel offered. Their pool was green? That was also a downside, so if you're wanting to go swimming, maybe choose a different hotel. The hotel was in a great part of Tempe so you didn't feel like you were in the city center, which was nice but you were still pretty close to the freeway and thus able to get downtown quickly, if needed.

For all the mediocre parts of this hotel, the staff makes it 5 stars. The rooms have been far too cold and the beds uncomfortable but I continue to come back for the staff. My coworker and I continue to come back to this location even though it is a distance from our client due to the service provided.

This hotel was nice and modern, and they even had pillows that were labeled soft and firm. But at the same time, it would have been nice to have a hot water machine in the lobby at least for twenty four hours or in the rooms if possible. I also expected a continental breakfast like other Red Roof Inns (not even plus), but for the cheap price, I understand.

Everything was fine up until we went to the filthy pool. After relaxing for a bit, we get approached by some tweaker asking us if we've seen his baggies anywhere in the pool. Good thing he found them because they were full of heroin! On our way back in, same guy had 3 other young kids doped up in the hallway! Does this place not have any type of surveillance? I would never recommend this place to anyone! Not even my dog!

Excellent location, nice staff… No nasty smoke smelling rooms. As it's a 100% smoke free facility. However, there is plenty of areas to smoke around the property.

Stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend with the family and was VERY disappointed. The AC in our first room barely worked during the day. And if you have ever been to Phoenix in the summer time then you know how God damn miserable it gets here. We had a good sales day with work so we decided to treat our selves and the kids and upgraded to a "Premium" room which aside from the mini fridge, microwave, foot pillows and the box of "snacks" (which just ended up being a bag of popcorn, two granola bars, small bag of trail mix, small bottle of oj and a bottle of water, whoop Dee do), the room was no different and for the price it was definitely not worth it. We were going to continue our stay here but without any warning or previous attempt to contact us, we had a so called manager, whIcy I'm guessing that's who she was since he was the only guy iv ever seen in a suit here, come knock on our door and literally physically threaten to remove us from the room if we do not leave in 5 minutes because we had not made it down stairs to pay yet. Mind you it was only 12:00pm. So since we weren't planning on leaving and my 6 month pregnant self was still in my pajamas, it took me more then 5 minutes to pack everything and get ready. The house keeper proceeded to park her cart right outside our door and knock every other minute being extremely rude telling us to get out and the manager came up with two other men trying to remove us from the room. We are good guests.

It's exactly tolerable as a place to sleep for a night before or after catching a flight from sky harbor. Location is a little off the beaten path but still very accessible by car. If you've got a bad back you might not like the extra soft beds but otherwise it's exactly what you'd expect from a budget hotel.

I can't even give this place a star. But I guess I had to. Can I make it a negative star? I asked about pet friendly and they lied to us after petting the dogs. I am pretty easy going but don't look me in the face and call me a liar. I asked all the questions. What a horrible place.

Great hotel that gave us a night. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The room itself is very clean and offers everything you need.
In the room there is a hair dryer and a coffee pod machine.

This was definitely a budget hotel. The staff were friendly and conversational. Didn't have to wait too long to get the room. The room was worth the price. Housekeeping was pretty neat too. Stayed here twice and would definitely stay again.

Nice place. Reasonably well located. Not a lot of extras. No restaurant, but plenty of nearby places for breakfast and other meals.

Good location, nice bed and room for what it is in particular. Not perfect but decent place. Motorcycles play loud old school music, which is fine, but loud and late on weekend. Friendly desk.

I chose to stay at this hotel and got a horrible stay! I did not feel comfortable in my room and wanted to switch due to the cleanliness, rust and water damage. That is not something I felt comfortable with. The desk clerks sent me the run around about management and availability of other rooms. I was told I would be contacted by management and never was. I had to call to speak to them. Once I did the manager did not try to understand my feelings instead stated things like, “I don’t believe my desk clerk would say that” “there were other rooms available” “The rust wouldn’t hurt me”: I am outraged by how it was handled. And when speaking to the manager he stated that he would call back in two hours and it’s been a day later. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! very limited no staff that can handle problems and they are rude. I am taking the next steps in contacting the board because I feel done horribly by this company.

The room is upgraded, however the tub has rust and is chipping. It is semi-handicap accessible. Big enough for a wheelchair but only one handle to get in and out of the tub. No breakfast or togo breakfast.

Check in was fast and courteous. Front desk clerk Laura was great. Room was large clean and updated. I loved the fact there was a grab rail in the bathtub. The room was cleaned every day. Even tho there is no breakfast, only coffee and tea there are plenty of restaurants close by. I will definitely stay again because it was a good value.

Service was top notch, however the beds where a little uncomfortable especially being only a full size bed instead of a queen size bed, and the room service food was not edible at all. It was just drowned in grease. But over all great room, bathroom shower was amazing for pressure and Variety of selections on shower head. A/C was really comfortable, kept the room comfortable.

Decent location to get to campus for the marathon. Nice people at the front desk. Gave us 30 extra minutes to shower up after the run. Pros location, refrigerator, and full desk. Cons this walls heard everyone all night, and the water tasted funky.

Two words: BED BUGS. I checked into a hotel room as per usual and immediately noticed a strange smell in the room. It wasn't altogether unpleasant but was certainly not my cup of tea. After twenty minutes and a long hot shower (good water pressure), I was able to become accustomed to the scent. I also took notice of scratched-up furniture and crumbs on the office chair. It looked run-down, not to mention the orchestra of noise that seeped through the thin walls. Eventually it was time to sleep so I put on my jammies and crawled into bed. An hour later and I became aware of an itchy sensation on my right arm and my left hand. I woke up, groggily put on my glasses and lo and behold there was a bed bug crawling on my sheets! I took pictures of the bug, the bites, and the hotel room. (Yes, I knew what kind of bug this was without having to look it up but I did anyways to confirm. Definitely an adult bed bug. ) Thankfully, the staff took my complaint seriously and told me that pest control would be called ASAP. They also moved my room to the furthest possible from the crime scene and gave me a bag (at my request) to put my contaminated Pjs in. They apologized for the hindrance but it wasn't as sincere as it could have been. Fair customer service is the only reason to give 1/5 stars. No hotel should be infested with bed bugs. Clean the damned rooms and teach the staff to look for identifying marks of undesirable bugs. P. S. — I personally killed the bed bug that attacked me.

The great thing about this place is that pets are allowed and do not require a deposit or cost extra. Many, if not most hotels that allow pets require a non refundable deposit. Other good things: high water pressure, pretty quiet, another free parking. Worst things — very basic rooms and bathroom was a we bit beyond basic. Mattresses are not great and I would recommend bringing your own pillow.

Overnight staff was wonderful. Very helpful in all ways. This morning was a huge difference. I told the front desk my key was not working which had happened the previous night as well right after check in, and before we moved rooms due to filthy sheets. They proceeded to take me upstairs with the key I had and tried repeteadly to to open the door which eventually they did. They then looked at me like I was an idiot because it worked, even though it took SEVERAL tries. I told the gentleman that it wasn’t working before or I wouldn’t have came to the front desk in the first place. He then asked me to try it and it worked and then he smirked at me in a cocky way and sarcastically said you’re welcome. I have never been appalled by customer service like this. I asked him to make a maintenance report and he just chuckled and shook his head. The rooms are terrible and the staff was not much better. Hair in the beds and showers. My ac had a broken filter just hanging out of it. I will never stay here again. Beware travelers. It is NOT worth it. Right after I posted this I found old, used coffee filter packs in the coffee maker. Superb.

I only booked 3 nights to see if I wanted to continue to stay there my last 3 nights and I ended up staying for all 6. My first room the tub didn't drain when showering so they upgraded us to a premium room without me even complaining. I was so happy with the room, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was great. We felt like me made friends before our trip was over. I am shocked to see any negative comments with how our stay was. I would stay here again if needed.

Great room. Quiet, Safe location. No jaccuzi, No breakfast but that's okay. There is complimentary coffee. Busy Check in time @3pm. So much better than the night before (that one was so bad, it's beyond words to describe). Love it.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful. THE rooms were clean and the staff made sure that they took special care of all of their customers.

Why do the least productive members of society suddenly have an uninhibited measure of energy and vigor at 2am? This is the question I mull over after lying awake for 5 hours at a Red Roof Inn while listening to the neighboring guests thrash around and speak as if into a megaphone through the paper thin walls. This and other ponderings such as; what could what sounds like a family of three possibly be accomplishing at this hour; I wonder what they're like and what their hobbies are; and is that a child that I hear cursing as an adult would if they were slowly relinquishing their lives at poker table? This was day one.

Pay more! Pros: Conveniently locates off the I-10 Hwy. The prices are great, even on the weekends. Cons: Mold in the bathroom! Tub was old and dirty. Take forever to give you more towels. Other guests so noisy, called front desk to ask them to stop, but the noise continued. We were put in a nicer room, but this was not cool to experience mold. Just goes to show that you get what you pay for. Sorry, but I will never stay here again.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! I used to stay here often and I would bring my dog with me. First problem: I put a do not disturb sign on my doorknob and the Mexican cleaners still knocked on my door and before I could answer it they would use their card to unlock my door and barge in so I told management on them. But this is the LEAST of the problems. Main problem: One day I decided to stay here and they gave me a room that stank. I told them that it smelled and they said okay. I check out and check back in the next day and they say I'm on the do not rent list because the room smelled like dog urine and because I had stolen a free day at the hotel! First of all my dog is very well trained to not urine inside and secondly how can I steal a hotel day when they're the ones who have to give me a key?! What happened is a few days prior I received a free day because I had accrued enough points on my ready card to get a free day! I told them that and I told them who had checked me in on that day and they didn't bother to ask her what happened even though she was standing right there! They just ignored me and continued to tell me I stole a day and had been put on the do not rent list. I finally convinced them to let me stay after the manager telling me "well I think you should just go to another hotel since you're having problems with us" and when he decided to let me stay, one of the other employees got angry and said "YOURE GONNA LET THEM STAY? " and he had to tell her to be quiet.

SERVICE to me is EVERYTHING and the front desk here was GREAT! Tons of local info if you ask and a map with REAL local info not just a computer print out! rooms were nice and clean also, I will def stay again!

It is a good place a little secluded but very quiet.

Our room is big and really nice actually. The bed is so comfy and big. Staff is nice and I like how they are on it every morning with the cleaning. Other people who stay seem to all be real nice too. Unlike other hotels it feels more homey than sketchy. Can't complain.

Does not give breakfast, in the mornings very bad if you have no car where you eat?

Neglected maintenance wise. Loose hair in the bath, shower wall, and mini fridge. Shower rod falling off the wall. Cigarette odor wven though it's a smoke free property. Also, promised to be on the quieter area of the hotel but they put a person with a barking dog next door.

The worst experience I've ever had at a hotel! The staff is EXTREMELY rude, the room had a disgusting smell and later found why… tons of food and trash under the beds! The pillows and beds are horrible and their outlets are practically ripped out of the walls. Asked for clean towels and they said they have to charge me… for what? It's not like I'm taking it home! Their pool is filthy and the staff shows no concern what so ever when a problem is brought to their attention. Never getting my business again!

Awesome place to stay. Close to the airport. Excellent service. Nice and clean rooms. They don't have a room fridge though.

Service was very good for our 8-night stay. I liked the location on a quiet street with close access to freeway. Room included a small fridge and microwave. Full-sized beds were small but comfortable.

Nice place if you can get a good deal. Nice big rooms, free reliable Wi-Fi, pay per view movies. Lots of hangers-on in lobby and outside at night, and you have a tough mile walk to the nearest sundries store if you don't have a car.

A bunch of ghetto ass N… Stay here. Loud disrespectful. The staff don't care if they are smoking weed right in there room. I wouldn't stay here with your kids unless u want your kids around the smell of weed.

Can't fault it for the price. Very helpful and friendly staff even when we arrived after midnight after a long day of travelling from the UK. Our room looked a bit tired, but was clean, and was cleaned daily for us. Heated pool outside great for an afternoon dip. Decent speed free Wi-Fi kept our daughter happy. Great place to stay for a few nights on a budget when passing through Phoenix. People complaining about quality for the price and the neighbourhood must have been somewhere different to us!

Overall an absolutely great hotel for the price, super clean, exceptionally friendly staff and renovated rooms. I knocked off a star for how noisy the room was though, you hear a lot from the hallway and surprisingly a lot of traffic noise. Wi-Fi was super fast and strong, the best I've ever seen for a hotel.

I was pleasantly surpassed surprised with my recent visit to the Red Roof Inn in Tempe. You can tell the rooms were renovated recently, they have HDTV's with full HD channels, and their internet is faster than most hotels. I found the front desk staff to be friendly and accommodating. The neighborhood they're located in is mostly an industrial park but I always felt safe regardless of time of day. They're conviently located right near I-10 and less than 10 minutes from the Arizona Mills Mall if you need anything. Only issue I found is that I found some of the adjacent rooms to be too loud late at night, I was even woken up at 2am by some yelling in the hallway, but other than that, for the rates you're paying, I found the Red Roof Inn to be a great value and a place I would consider staying at again if I was in the Tempe area.

Oh it was wonderful, found out that she (jasmine foster) truly is the love of my life and is pregnant with my child! it will be my third child as well with jasmine.

In an occasion arrives to the middle of the night, to phoenix, without reservation, and they treated us with a lot of cordialidada spite of the hour, always clean rooms although do not have desayunoy only with a source of coffee. Is modest but with good price, hotel-type business.

This is the second Red Roof I've stayed in and I must admit I'm sold on this company. Reasonable rates, staff has been helpful & explains all options. Clean room, strong Wi-Fi. I opted out of the microwave & mini fridge so can't vouch for them but I'm sure they're great. Front desk made sure I was in a room where I could keep an eye on my motorcycle. All in all, highly recommended. Hope I can find a Red Roof motel wherever I go.

Cheap and it shows. Found 5 cigarette burn holes on my bed sheet. Signs everywhere indicating this was a 100% smoke free establishment, I am appalled.

Excellent visit. This Red Roof is above average and offers amenities you'll never find in similar hotels. Worth every penny. (good price too).

Elevators not working, got back from dinner and the hotel had no parking every spot was full. Front desk offered no solution. Just said anywhere you park you could get a ticket or towed Wtf. Bad hospitality, you're the host figure out a solution. Room smelled musty. Tub doesn't drain well. Glad it was only for 1 night.

Terrible. Obvious illegal activity happening in the hotel. Slamming doors and talking in hallways all night. Stay away.

Staff is very friendly and the room was clean and looked great. Felt like I was in a pricey hotel at half the price.

I've stayed here countless times and each time is amazing the room is nice and clean and the service is excellent.

I can't find a thing to complain about. This place is in a business area with very low traffic. Close to the freeway and railroad and no noise from either. They have quiet hallways, doors that reach all the way to the floor so the rooms are dark for sleeping. I love having an elevator. Even the single rooms have king size beds. Amenities are microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board, in room coffee maker, a personal safe, computer table with a smooth easy ruling office style chair, the usual room table, plenty of unused wall plugs, hair dryer, large mirrors, big screen TV and a remote that works with plenty of cable channels as well as part per view movies, FAST free Wi-Fi without having to use a pass code, VERY quiet A/C and heating unit. AND best if all, no outside lights to wake me at 3:30 in the morning thinking it's past time to get up. GREAT, friendly staff, designated CLEAN smoking area with benches. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Stayed here one night and first off the neighborhood is sketchy didn't feel too safe. The room we had said 100% non smoking but smelled like someone just smoked in the room. The bed was alright wasn't great comfort. The tub had tarnish in it that you could see they tried to cover up. And lastly you could hear sounds through the wall like whenever water from another room was going. Overall not the best hotel stayed at.
