I stayed here for two nights and the lady in the front desk was very friendly and attentive! The rooms are decent. You get what you pay for, if you stay here dont expect luxury but for people looking for somewhere to stay for the night that is budget friendly, I definitely recommend.

Great little motel but be careful you have to take it as it is. A small motel, not a 5-star hotel. Ideal for spending the night and resting. But beware the big flaw of this hotel is the lack of soundproofing in the rooms it's a real problem especially next to the pavement.

Budget motel in a convenient location. Really pleasant, helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again.

Everything from customer service to resort accommodations. Decor, matresses top notch and the best deal in town. Looks simple from the outside with gentle. Yellow doors, but wow!

Quaint and quiet little motel; very comfortable and friendly and provides small complimentary breakfast. Nerby lots of food and reastruants within walking distance.

If I could give less I would. Ice machine broken-had to wait until owners got some 2 hours later. Offered free breakfast but that never happened. Noisy and people going in and out of different rooms all night long. Don't book this is all I can say! Worst experience on a cross country trip!

Overall I had a great time staying at this motel. The welcoming is very good. Bed are comfortable as you'd expect, you still get some noise from the near road but nothing too disturbing. In my case I've noticed that some improvement could have been made on the shower but I won't mind as the price is just good and it's located in a nice spot. (And free Wi-Fi is always something enjoyable)

Beds are comfy. Road noise can be annoying but eh, you're on Route 66. Seen a German cockroach that ran under the plastic TV stand but other than that it is not that bad and you really you get what you pay for. With this accomodation it's all about LOCATION.

The staff is awesome. The rooms are clean. The internet isn't great, but it works. The coffee is good.

Breakfast was good. Wi-Fi is amazing. Beds are comfy. Staff are super nice. One of the best motels I've ever been to.

You get what you pay for. Loud road noise. Not a real Continental breakfast, extremely basic cereal/oatmeal and store bought waffles you make in a toaster. Very run down. Simple things to fix are completely ignored. Staff was fine. Bed was comfortable. If you're just passing through, stay here, pass out and leave. Don't expect too much… Or anything. Close to downtown and the bars.

The hotel is located just off Route 66. Therefore, it is very loud at night. From the outside, it doesn't look very welcoming. The rooms are okay though.

First of all, white bed covers are the best. The room was nice. Animal shapes with towels is an extra touch you don't expect for such a low price. The desk clerk was efficient and really nice. He made me feel welcome. I would stay here again.

Property manager almost wanted to fight me because I wanted the a. C. To be fixed as it was not working.

Super quaint little motel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and cozy! the only things that could have been better would be light fixtures that didn't flicker in the bathroom and sink area and the toilet was a little wobbly. But the shower was hot and the beds were comfy! edit: the lady who answers the phone is one of the owners/managers… she could stand to have a little better customer service as she tends to be gruff and sometimes a little rude — I like the motel enough that I'm willing to look past it because the price is right and it's cute :)

Good price, motel was clean and recently updated. Bathroom needs some updating. Needs were ok, the road noise was a little loud. Would stay there again.

The rooms are clean and good for the price. But the hotel front desk staff is very arrogant and doesn't care about the customers. I would give 4 for the hotel and 0 for the staff.

The best things about the Canyon Inn are the location and the Wi-Fi. Everything else, you get what you pay for.

This is the worst place ever I have a family emergency and he refuses to cancel the hotel reservation with expedia I tried calling the hotel several times left messages he wont answer or return my call. Dont book here.

Canyon Inn was exactly what we needed it to be. A quiet, overnight stay before reaching the grand canyon. Friendly guests played basketball in the parking lot as we unloaded our things. The gentleman working the office at the time of check-in was very friendly and informative. He recommended a local pizza place called nimarco's that even had toasted ravioli on the menu. As a St Louis native, I couldn't pass this up. The pizza was delicious. On the way out, we stopped off at his recommended coffee place, Dutch Brothers and was not disappointed. All in all, if you need a quick and quiet stop for the night in Flagstaff, this is for you.

It's a very busy street and reminds me of a 60's motel. It IS a 60's motel, but the owner is from NYC, so that is a point for him and his wife and four kids who live in the resident office. I've stayed in a lot worse.

The hotel was very nice The outside roadside room is loud.

The best independent motel in town with remodeled rooms and bathrooms and the GM AJ knows how to take care of the property and maintaining its appearance and knows how to handle it. Love the rooms and location couldn't ask for a better place and would defiantly recommend to friends and family.

Can't complain. Especially for the price and it being centric and all. I like that it was clean. I suggest you book a room online before you get there because when we got there there were no more room available. Thank goodness we booked online. Kids under 16 stay for free so that was a plus too.

ZERO customer service, there was mascara on the pillows, sheets had marks on them and we were charged extra for having a third person in the room. If you need to charge for every person then maybe you should clean your rooms a little better.

The inside is a lot nicer looking then the outside, but the shower seems old and almost broken, the towels are super small, and the breakfast is a bit of a joke. Good for the money spent though. I did hear someone in the main office behind a closed door yelling and hitting a small child which does really concern me.

The service was great! The rooms were comfortable, although the bed was hard. Recently updated amenities including nice flat panel televisions with cable. It was very easy to book and at a great rate!

Place was clean. Wi-Fi was hit or miss. Onsite managers were pleasant, friendly and helpful. I liked the coffee. Great location.

The owner was very friendly and so were the employees! Great service and great people. Checked on us and welcomed us in with no problems.

The owners are the rudest I have met in a long time. I called around 2 pm to make reservations for that night and I gave our credit card information and spoke with he husband/owner, he was nice over the phone at that time. We drove 3 hours to get to flagstaff and when we arrived his wife told us we didn't have a room. My boyfriend was yes annoyed, but the women told both of us to "chill out" and was extremely rude and acted like we did something wrong. She told us to wait and speak with her husband, but not once did she apologizes or even crack a smile. As soon as the husband returned she pulled him into the back to "tell him what happened" he immediately came back out said he watched the video (in the whole 2 seconds he was gone) and said my boyfriend was cursing at his wife and "he didn't need it" and would refund our card. I tried to talk to him, but it was was no use. If you stay here watch out for the wife she's and liar and extremely unpleasant. I honestly feel bad for the husband, even though he didn't take any responsibility for giving our room away, apologize or try to fix it.

This looked like a quaint place and we try to support local businesses instead of bigger chains, however the lady at the front desk was so rude that we left immediately.

I had reserved two rooms a few months ago. I then had a heart attack shortly before I was to arrive. The owners were very accommodating to my daughter and grand daughters while returning the money I had paid for the room I did not use. My family reports that not only were the owners exceptionally helpful, but that the room was in excellent condition, clean and spacious compared to others (that cost much more) on their trip. We will go back at any time.

I actually didn't book this room because the gentleman who answered the phone was incredibly rude. I asked some questions regarding what he accommodations were and when they didn't match what the hotel has listed, I suggested, very politely that they change those so they match so people don't call them hoping to get a room and find out they can't because there is false information posted. I was told very rudely that I won't be accommodated at all here at this hotel just for simply telling the person who answered the phone that the might want to make sure information is actually correct. If this is how they fun their business than I can see why their rooms are so cheap. Horrible service during the booking process. Way to lose a customer Canyon Inn.

If the staff don't scare you away within the first 5 min, then you might be safe, but I would sleep with a knife under your pillow. Reading the reviews on the mgmt via yelp, Google, ect, should have had us looking elsewhere, but we thought people were being dramatic. HA! They couldn't be more true. If you like to have a slag scream in your mothers face, or your face, head here! Hey, some people like that. I'm not here to judge. Except I will judge the foul, unwashed, mouth breather that runs the place. Zero stars for my first review ever. Stay local and give your money to the small businesses owner. Except this one. Spend an extra ten more dollars somewhere else.

DON'T STAY HERE! We made reservations with this place and they even charged my card, but when I arrived to check in they were closed. I was able to get ahold of the owner and he said my card was bad and that he gave my room away. So I paid for a room I couldn't even stay in. He even came out of the room he lives in pointed at me and my boyfriend and laughed at us as he ran into the lobby. I also heard from the locals that this place is mostly meant to be rented for the hourly because it's know to be the place frequented by the local prostitutes.

I feel its important to point out that I have stayed here twice. The first time I stayed here the staff was friendly and nice. We check in and they inform us that the maid has not made her way to our room yet, but in 20 min she will be done. We parked the car and walked to a bar/restaurant called granny closet. Watched an entire football game and had drinks. Walked back to find the maid laying in a bed in our room watching tv. (room was not clean yet) we asked her to leave, and please bring fresh towels. She never brought towels. Lol. The next time I stayed here was a little different. We walked in to our room and got hit with a cloud of marijuana smoke. Went to the front desk to complain and the women behind the desk was higher then a kite and eyes were redder then I have ever seen. Lol. I would stay here again. But just know its nothing special. Buyer be ware.

Great little find in flagstaff. I had just come into town and I went to another motel that looked run down cheap and the lobby smells like curry so I decided to try this place the lobby is well kept everything is freshly painted the new owners are great and to the people who said that the person on the phone didn't care if they stay there or not it's because they don't they don't want drug addicts they don't want rude guests and they don't want people who are going to ruin what they worked very hard to make here. Don't expect the Hilton but definitely expect a room that smells good is very clean freshly painted and close to everything you want to see in Flagstaff. I will definitely stay here again and again.

WOW, I havent even stayed here and felt compelled to write a review which I have never done before. I just made a reservation and feel like i've been molested. Turns out, I was talking to the Owner. She didnt seem to care if we stayed there or not. Didnt have any way to provide a confirmation and I'm really not sure if I actually have a reservation. No matter what, I'm calling back to cancel. Dont trust this lady, dont want to meet her, and dont want to saty at her place. I'll pay more just to know I actually have a room.

I think it is very important that this review be made to warn travelers before they book at this motel. I made a reservation early April for 2 nights May 9 and 10 — to attend my daughter's graduation at NAU. I made the reservation using Canyon Inn's website, received confirmation, and all appeared set. Tonight, less than a week from my arrival, I received a voice mail message from "Laura" First, Laura was very critical about the contact number I left her — In her words she stated: "I guess you should have left your cell number or home number and you should not have left your work number (which is my cell phone number) ; and Second, she stated: "I am sorry to tell you, you do not have a reservation on the 9th here. Your credit card was invalid, and the price somebody has given you is absolutely a joke. " " It s not $49.95 but $109.95 and the following night is $199.95 I am very sorry you chose to leave your work number". When I called back, she said her and her husband took over about six weeks ago, new managers/owners. I told her I had booked directly on line on their website and had a confirmation number, etc to prove it. She could careless. Luckily, I had the good fortune of telling her I had cancelled the reservation only moments earlier because I had double booked another hotel. Oh, did I mention my copy of the reservation on their website reflects my current and correct credit card number.
