We were scheduled to stay there 3 nights and after the first night we decided to book somewhere else. The whole hotel is poorly lit, definitely had an odd smell, the rooms are very small. Our refrigerator sounded like it has thrown a rod with how bad it was clanking. The pictures that were online of this hotel were definitely not the standard room that we had reserved. There was approximately 3’ on 3 sides of the full size bed. And one you had 2 suitcases opened there wasn’t any room to walk around. There also wasn’t a fan in the room and it got pretty warm in there. Unfortunately we heard everything happening at 3am in the room next to us. They seemed to have a good time. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

The food quality and quantity is not consistent. Wait time was double what I was told it was going to be and my food was cold when I finally got it. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Got into the restaurant close to closing due to unexpected stay over in Homer and what an amazing bartender/waitress and cook staff to accommodate us with an amazing dinner and drinks! They even accommodated our boy with a burger of his own and Brussel sprouts. Rooms were extremely clean, beds were very comfortable and front desk service was great! We definitely recommend.

I just want to say the food and service here is amazing. I will definitely be coming back! Hotel rooms are very clean and accommodating. Let Beluga Lake be your Homer Alaska destination.

The service is AMAZING… not to mention the chef knows how to cook a PERFECT steak.

This is my 3rd time staying at the hotel, nice rooms for cheap. Never ate there.

They have excellent food and customer service.

Our meal was warm still when I brought it home. The server met me outside and handed our meal before I was able to get out of my vehicle. That is awesome customer service. We will be ordering from them again. Thank you Beluga bar and grill staff for above and beyond service during this difficult time. Again thank you!

Best smoked prime rib French dip I’ve ever had! Perfection!

Price and location. Small clean rooms but no coffee maker.

Would not go back, cook didn't get any if our orders right. From burnt toast, meat not cooked correctly, to so much salt that made me sick. Noisy and our food took over an hour to get. No, we wont be back.

Absolute BEST burgers! Definitely will come back again when visiting Homer!

Great Food, Fantastic Staff, Friendly & Welcoming Customer Service. Hotel side decor makes you feel a bit more at home. On the Bar & Grill side, The Waitresses, Bartender, Bussers, dishwasher &cook are always working hard to insure quality Service.

Staff was not warm and welcoming and the room was not great. Will not return for these reasons.

This was a surprise to my daughter and I. Courtesy and kindness from the staff, room was awesome, and comfortable. They also had a shower chair for me brought to the room! Definitely a place to return to on our next trip!

They had a hard time plating so food was cold. The steak was raw (request for medium) and shrimp had dried dill on it. Manager tasted my food at our table. She offered Desert then billed us for it.
Stick to a burger there. The rooms are clean but in need of maintenance. The thermostat didn’t work and doors didn’t close or lock. Not sure if this is worth another try.

Our room was adequate and clean. The sliding door had no screen though, so we could not leave it open due to mosquitoes. The room got stuffy.

Excellent place to STAY! WE are from Anch And we come here every summer, will be back, The people the view the good good and drinks Super comfy room!

Great prices, free coffee and tea all day. Super close to town/spit. Had a lovely stay with a refrigerator nice bed and bath.

Food was good. Atmosphere has pleanty of room for improvement.

This is an older hotel, but a great place to stay. The rooms are decent and the service is superb. It is a pet friendly place.

One of the only pet friendly hotels arround the peninsula.

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We came in at almost 10 pm on a Saturday night during the winter, so the bar and restaurant were closed and no traffic on the highway. This would make a difference to the experience you have. The best spacious rooms are located right under the restaurant and bar. They are beautifully decorated and spacious, with a microwave and refrigerator. The rooms were very clean, 4 pillows on the bed, extremely comfortable queen size bed and higher end toiletries. The housekeeping staff do the nice extra touches that you'd expect from a high quality chain hotel. If anything was missing in the rooms, the staff are careful to make notes regarding this so that it can be taken care of. We thought we had left our phone charger, and the next day we spoke with Barbie on the phone. She was careful to make notes and contact the housekeepers the next day and then even called us back on the phone. This is extremely good service that you don't see many places! We were very impressed!

Visited around 7/2/2017, out of clam chowder and their burgers are nothing like they have been in years past; much smaller now. : (

Service was great. Food came fast and was very good.

Nice big room, decent price. Had a small hiccup with the first room where there were cleaning supplies out (like a carpet cleaner) and chairs up on the tables. Got it resolved quickly and to my satisfaction. Good value here.

Best food in Homer for the price. Drinks are great and the staff is so friendly… and they are doing great lunches now that are super reasonable… don't miss it.

Great burgers! Had the special burger and a beer for 18$. The beluga bleu was fantastic.

Plain and mildly affordable.

We didn't stay here but ate at the restaurant based on the recommendation of our guide. Wow this place is has amazing food. Nice laid back, family friendly atmosphere.

Spent two months there enjoyed the staff and my room was always cleaned. Recommend this Lodge to anyone and the food at the resturant was excellent, but I would call ahead for my order.

Everything about the place shrieks 5 stars! Not only loved it. I'm emotionally attached. Amazing view of the snow capped mountains and volcanos across the bay. View of the lake that's frozen most the time. What makes Beluga lake lodge so distinctive from other hotels. The small town service makes it more than a hotel. The front desk attendant was such doll. The kind of place that you want to be at again. Diane and Barbie were such pleasant and agreeable people. Oh and the food. That's so good, you feel bad when its gone.

Seriously this place is rockin! Clean rooms, fantastic food! And the staff is nothing short of amazing! From the bartenders to the cooks to the housekeepers to the front desk to the servers. If you want to feel at home (and in my case a total superstar) this is the place to be! Special recognitions to Dawn, Theresa, Tina, Shawn, Kim, 'Ilima, Morgan, and the adorable front desk lady whose name is escaping me right now for making my stay so memorable.

We ran in last minute before they closed and had an excellent meal! Cook was top notch and service was great. Great stop.

One doesn't expect much from a small backwater motel, but the shower should drain right. The toilet flushed fine if you didn't mind holding down the handle. You'll also get to see the inner-workings of a motel here, as open ceiling panels and heater covers show an interesting display of pipes and wires. The TV remote didn't work properly and the staff was rude. On the plus side, a cramped room doesn't cost much more then $100.
