DO NOT STAY HERE! No stars from me! Extended Stay America made double the money at least 2 rooms on June 28th, 2018. We were turned away at midnight after a long day of travel from South Dakota. The hotel sold our rooms even though we had already paid in full for two rooms. Extended Stay America in Anchorage refused to give a refund! Many people were turned away on this date. The worker said the hotel overbooked 30 hotel rooms. That's a lot of money the hotel makes for doing no work!

Worst hotel and hotel services. We reserved a room for one week, day two we find ourselves locked out of the room, the hotel had just rebooked our room to the person in the front of the line, bagged all of our items clothes, shoes, backpacks in bags, threw away our water, milk, plastic bags, etc, disconnected our internet service since "travelocity had a booking issue… " we tried to correct the issues, people were waiting angry, two trying to check in twice (first time after 3 pm, being told to check in later so they can clean the rooms, then coming back at 9 pm and being told their room is not ready — the girls called customer service and they were not able to help), no room service cleaning (no janitorial came to clean our overfilled trash bins, we placed the trash bags outside and came back to find a letter that says "Please do not put your trash in the hall. Trash room by elevator please… " (So from I guess they want you to do the services you paid for since no janitorial services). A gentleman also laughed when he came in the morning expecting "free breakfast" that only meant free coffee… He laughed pretty loud at the appologize the front desk receptionist made in disbelief. I would have given some positive cristism also like: could work on being more honest, rooms could use more cleaning, bed sheets could be cleaned and re-remade daily, if you have any issues, please call or contact your customer before you bag their items, clean the room, and re-sell the room.

Great place to stay; we were there for 15 days and had great service. Room was very comfortable and convenient to downtown Anchorage.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. We were on the first floor and could hear every foot fall at times it sound like a circus act was being preformed.

Broken card readers on external doors; No observed cameras by any door leading outside (only by front desk) ; Did have a roving security guard, but only saw her once around 10pm; Watched a drug deal occur as I moved my bags inside; Exits had overflowing trash cans outside for people to dispose of pet waste. Would not recommend.

If I could leave zero stars I could. Dirty. Rude front desk staff. Sketch area. Not suitable for children. Unaccomidating to traveling military group.

This place is nice, and among the extended stay places that I've been in around the country, it's one of the better ones I've stayed in. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. And the rates are pretty decent because of this. It's close to a lot of places downtown and the movie theater is basically next door. Good selection in the vending machines, in a pinch when you have late night munchies.

We stayed here because we needed housing while my husband was getting surgery and ANMC put us up at this hotel. It smelled like people were smoking inside the building. At first they put us in a room that was full of trash and obviously had not been cleaned yet. The whole place was dirty and I was nervous we were going to get robbed.

We went to check in and the reception staff was rude. The guy acted like he didnt have a clue what was happening and whats worse acted like he didnt care. We asked if we could pay for early check in. The woman (I would guess his supervisor) said no. Then I explained that we had to be out of our other hotel at 11am and if there was any way (since there were only like 20 cars in the parking lot) that we could get in early because we did not have room in the car for us and all the stuff because we were no longer towing our car that was packed full of our stuff Wed have to drive both cars and make two trips. She said well the earliest I could get you in is 1pm, but you can store your stuff in our lobby… WHAT? No thanks. We read the reviews and coupled with our experience we decided to go over to the Residence Inn by Marriott who had fantastic customer service, got us in early with no questions and accommodated our stay perfectly. Extended Stay could take a page out of their book.

Very decent! We stayed for a night! breakfast not included! Not enough towels and other supplies! Good for the price!

This location does have security on staff to help handle unsavory characters. Cleanliness is acceptable. Staff is professional.

The service was nice but the room was lacking, from the paint chipping to the noisy floors to the clothing left behind from the person before us everything seemed careless. The bed had huge bumps in it that made it feel like you were about to roll off the bed. Although the parking was excellent, and was the only hotel we stayed at in Anchorage that was plowed.

Long wait to check in three hrs cable sucks they say they have pastries in the morning but don't, can't expect much but good location and clean room.

A very convenient, clean, and comfortable room with additional sleeper sofa. Great value, great options for groups or families.

Nice and affordable! Friendly, and helpful staff! I liked the kitchens equipped with pots and pans, dishware, and flatware. Laundry center on-site with coin operated washers/dryers, snacks and coffee available all day everyday at front desk! Convenient location close to Shopping, Malls, Movie Theater, and the Public Library.

When we first arrived here after having a reservation for more than 3 weeks, our route was not ready for a 1500 check in. The room is what you would expect from an economy Hotel except this economy hotel cost over $100 a night. The walls are thin you can hear people above you in beside you. The bathroom seems to have been remodeled but with a fiberglass tub that creaks every time you step in it which not only wakes everyone in your room up but your neighbors as well. The staff is nice and attentive and they generally seem to want to do a good job, but I think they're Limited in their empowerment from the poor management of the hotel. They have a breakfast of Otis Spunkmeyer-like muffins and coffee, which is exactly as advertised and they are pet friendly, this is why we use them in first place. But as Anchorage Alaska hotels always go the cost-benefit is always lacking. You would also want to be careful as you leave the hotel homeless people try to sneak in on the side doors. Not a usual happening at a hotel if they had decent security. However, once notified they were reactive, a plus for their security team. If you have pets I would recommend Hotel because they are pet friendly, but so is the Hilton. If you want luxury this is not the place for you if you want to be next to the moose's tooth this is the place for you.

Room was clean. Bed and bathroom were nice. Hotel interior was dated. On sure coim opt laundry was convenient. Staff was helpful.

There was only one woman working at the counter when we arrived and they could not find our reservation but she did everything to set us up with a room as quickly as possible and she was very sweet. I was pleased with how calm she was while people were coming in and being very rude trying to rush her. Our stay was pleasant hotel wise.

This extended stay in Midtown, Anchorage Alaska is spacious, updated and very clean. The staff is phenomenal! They brought everything I needed to my room expediently. They also have a grab and go breakfast bar that is quite extensive. They have king size beds, extended shower rods, and large flat screen TV's. The kitchen has stsinless steel burners and a full size fridge. I can tell you that I've stayed at other Extended Stays, and honestly. This is the best one I've come across so far!

Public notice ALERT! BEDBUGS. Horribly dirty, lets just say, rooms "look" ok. Then when I looked closer, not only was there super yuk stuff on the walls, but it looked like it wasnt swept or vaccumed. Dirty lobby, moldy smell in bathroom, BED BUGS! I was moved to another room, hours after I notified manager, then at almost 2 am they had another room available. No rest, it was a nightmare. Then in the morning I discovered more BEDBUGS. Rooms 341 and 344.

Probably the worst Hotel experience I've ever had. The front lobby is actually deceptively middle class, but once you actually get into the Hotel then the fun begins. Disgusting dirty carpet and very dim, depressing lighting. The rooms are completely sub par. No oven, or washer/dryer setup. You have to go to the front desk just to get basic dishware. There was an unidentifiable sticky substance on the bottom of the cabinet space, as well as one of my blankets in the bedroom, which I immediately threw off and had to sleep in a tracksuit/hooded sweatshirt. Fortunately the week we were there the heating was not working. "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door? No problem, we'll barge in anyway while you're having a shower to check that it's working now. Not really any breakfast or food available at the Hotel. Oh, and the Internet completely sucks too, when it's not constantly cutting out.

Aggressively mediocre. Great if you like living next to a crack dealer and getting robbed by housekeeping. At least the cops maintain a constant presence in the parking lot.

The rooms seem a bit small and the lack of pre-provided dishes was odd, but for the price it is an excellent and comfortable place to stay.

The room was nice, clean, and roomy. However, I noticed that I couldn't turn on the vent in the restroom, and there wasn't a bulb in the kitchenette vent. Other than that, there wasn't bed bugs!

The heater doesnt seem to work. Only blows cold air, there should be a separate switch in the bathroom for light and fan, lights seem to be a bit dim, microwave needs upgrade and so does the refrigerator. Other than that, I'd give it a thumbs up.

Sketchy hotel in the city. Worried about vandals damaging my car. No breakfast is available. Elevators often smell of weed.

Basic rooms yet spacious, comfortable beds, clean, good price and quiet. Not much for breakfast, but I've never stayed at a location based upon breakfast choices. I've stayed here twice and will stay again. Great location next to Mooses Tooth, New Sagaya, and Fred Meyers.

Horrible place, refrigerator never turned off and was very loud. Peeled back the sheets and there was a place where someone was wiping their buggers and quite a few spots that looked like blood stains. Got in late and had no choice but to stay the night. Was scheduled to stay 15 days but checked out the next morning. Front desk acted like it happens all the time.

Cheap, decent rooms, close to the Moose's Tooth. The exercise equipment needed repaired. The free breakfast was more of a grab-and-go with some pretty basic items like processed muffins and fruit.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are for. This is an extended stay hotel with very clean upgraded rooms, flat screens, kitchenette with regular fridge like most upgraded extended stays. For people who are always on the road for work and need a place for "Extended Stays" this is an excellent choice.

I won't say don't stay there because everyone's standard is different. If you're coming off a 10 day back-packing trek and need a hot and cot, then it probably works. If you're traveling for rugged outdoor work and don't mind the smell of smoke in the room; unbearably slow internet (AOL dial-up slow) ; breakfast consisting of a granola bar and a cup of coffee; malfunctioning appliances, phones and possibly front desk employees; then this may be your kinda place.

Nothing, checked into a smoking room (they didn't gave a choice) … check out and waited for over one hour for the shuttle to the airport, free breakfast? Coffee and 1/2 a muffin is not what I call breakfast. The phone to the front desk didn't worked, tried to turn the air conditioner on and nothing but hot air. The smell on the hallways is of a very old carpet. Definetly will not reccomend this hotel to no one… and priceline should be more careful as far as choosing who they endorse or do business with… in the future I'll try expedia… hopefully get better results.

If you're looking for an apartment-style room this would probably be the best the money. PROS Great 1 Bedroom size; big refrigerator; good stove top for cooking and clean cabinets. Excellent separation of Kitchenette, Bathroom, Livving Room, and Bedroom Location — less than 2 miles places like WalMart, Planet Fitness, Wendy's Walgreens, Supermarket, several restaurants, and the MaDonald is right behind the hotel. Has a laundry room (yay) Open and sufficient parking lot. BIG PLUSES FOR BEING PET FRIENDLY Great coffee set up in the lobby in the morning. CONS (During my stay so I don't know if things changed) Outlets: There is a need to upgrade the electric outlets. Make it convenient for todays devices. The outlets are still located in hidden places a few inches from the floor. It would be nice to have outlets on the lamps and make accessibility easier for everyone. Key Card: When the key card system had problems I had to walk to the front desk and then be accompanied by a staff to open my room. If I were to leave my room I have to repeat that over again. Very inconvenient. Front Desk Attendant: I stayed fro almost 2 weeks. I've noticed the front desk has ONLY one agent to serve the counter. Often times there is a line of guests waiting in line to simply ask a question, get a towel or request something very simple. They need to have at least two. When you try to request something from your room they tell you to walk over to the front desk.

Big room for big price: it felt like an appartment, had full size fridge, cook top (2 burners), microwave an kitchen sink, good living room with a 20in flat screen, has a bedroom with its own 20in flat screen, Wi-Fi was good, I had the free. My down side is the lights, felt super dim with the eco lights. Not sure if the price is worth it but really felt like a appartment.
